The sound of shuffling woke Avrail up. She looked at Mike and he was still asleep. She watched him for a moment and he shuffled again and put his arm around her. She snuggled into him, and he angled her face towards his and kissed her. She kissed him for a few minutes, then started to help him with his shirt. Her skin moved slowly under his as he leaned over her. When they separated, her breathing became more individualized again. She snuggled into him, and fell back to sleep.
Avrail was downstairs waiting for Mike, so they could go to the Forks sporting store. He came in the kitchen a few minutes later. They both walked outside with Terran in his car seat. On the way to the store, Mike told her that his mother was coming to visit for a few days and she would be staying in the spare bedroom. Mike's mother lived in Olympia, and she came to visit a few times a year. Avrail said alright. They were at the store, and Avrail got out of the car, picked up the baby from the back seat, and walked behind Mike, who was going into the store. She was at the counter when a customer came in and asked what type of binoculars she would recommend for sporting big animals. Avrail showed her to the section, and they lady decided to buy a pair of them. Avrail cashed her out then, after she left, she went to see how Mike was doing in the back room.
The sound of knocking came through to the living room Avrail was sitting in. Mike went to open the door, and it was Geva, his mother. Avrail came in the room with the baby, and Geva looked over and saw Terran. She said he was nice size baby, and the she came over to hold him. Terran stayed with her for a minute then he wanted to go back to his mother. Mike asked her if anything new was happening in Olympia, and she that they had formed a activity club at the local library. Mike told her that was good that she had something to do during the day. Mike asked her if she wanted to go to the diner for dinner, and she replied sure. At the diner, the waitress said hello, and was glad Geva was in town. They heard a few of the patrons talking about the hikers that were coming in that weekend.
They were home and in bed later that night. Avrail opened the window to get a small breeze. She sat next to Mike on the bed and turned her attention to the vampire movie he had on. The vampires had been underground and hiding there secret until A new man in town showed up. The man was supposed to reunite the vampires from all area's. She checked on the baby, then went back to bed with Mike.
The next morning Eric and Angela came by. They were coming over to visit with them. Avrail was outside on the patio with there guest, when came out he took the seat next to Avrail, and picked up Terran. Avrail asked Angela how Eda was doing, She replied that she was doing good. Avrail then wanted to let them know that Terran had a birthday coming up, he was going to be 1 year in 2 months. She wanted to do a party in there backyard, and she was going to invited there new friends Mack and Stacey. Mike said that he would see if his father could make it, and asked his mother if that would be issue for her, since they were no longer together. They had split 4 years ago, and his father had stayed in Forks, while his mother went to Olympia. Geva answered that it was fine with her, and it would be good seeing his father again. Avrail went inside and brought out drinks for everyone. Mike had been holding Terran and Avrail took hi back when she sat down.
It was a week later that Geva had to go back to Olympia. Mike hugged his mother goodbye, and she patted Avrail's hand, then patted the baby's back. Mike went with his mother outside to give one last wave.
The next weekend they were going to Terrance's training camp in Seattle. She saw a parking lot full of cars, when they pulled in. She pushed the baby in his stroller as they walked into the area. When they got to the arena, Avrail and Mike sat at the top of the bleachers. They had a few events going on. The announcer came on and introduced the vampire that was in the first match, he was caught in the area, when he had been found with a few victims behind a cafe. The vampire was trying to get out of his cage. The man he was going to compete with came out and the vampire was released. After the competition they headed back to Seattle, and went to a diner that was there. After leaving the diner, they headed back to Forks. Once there Avrail wanted to stop at the pharmacy, to get a few things for home. After entering the place, she saw that a gentleman was on duty. She got a few supply's for herself and left the pharmacy. She wanted to take another pregnancy test at home in case she was pregnant. She was a few days late for her monthly.
After getting home, Mike watched the baby, while Avrail went to the bathroom. After taking the test, she saw that it was negative. She didn't know if she was disappointed or not, but they weren't trying to have a baby, so it was good thing it was negative.
Later that night while in bed with Mike, she turned to him and kissed him. He kissed her back, and she sat in his lap and put her hands on his shoulders as the kiss led to his hands helping her bottom. After wards all cuddled up to Mike, she thought of how satisfied she was with her life, and hoped the next year would bring the same.
The next day they were at the Forks Sporting store. A lady walked into the store and came over to the counter. She said that she had some good news. They lady had brought in flyers of missing people for a few months, and she had wanted to help other's stay safe. Avrail asked what the news was, and the lady replied that they had formed a group for people with missing loved ones, so they could continue the search together. The lady gave Avrail a business card, then walked out of the store. When Mike came over, he helped cash out the next person in line.
After leaving the store that day, Avrail noticed that the parking lot had mud on it. Avrail didn't know that it had been raining while they were in the store, but after seeing the wet pavement, she saw that it had rained. She put Terran in his seat, then went in the car herself. When Mike drove down the street, she rolled down her window to get the excess rain off her side of the car.
