EPISODE TEN: THE KNOCKOUT BLOW

Jury: Metal Sonic and Sackboy

Nine are left. Who will be voted out next?

Night 26

The final nine arrive at camp, and lean their torches back into their natural habitat. Sweet sweet Torch Tree. What isn't sweet is that Season Four has been officially sliced and diced by the Master Chef and his merry crew.

Gordon's riding on the high in confessional.

Gordon: Hate to see the kid go, but love to see that bloc split. I didn't want a group of four to get a free pass, but THREE I can deal with. All we have to do is keep our ears open and our mouths SHUT. People tell others shit they don't need to hear, and groups collapse. I'm gonna be pissed if someone on my side dicks around and messes this up for us.

His number one, Diana, tends to the fire. She has her own worries given she's a target from here on out, but decides to stay civil. "That was close. Don't know where the vote to Li came from, but we are both lucky to be here."

Chun-Li's expression screams "not buying it", but she also takes the safe route. "Hard to be worried about one vote after that."

"Well here we are again. Two strong competitors on the block."

Diana gets room to vent in confessional.

Diana: There was no idol. We could have gotten rid of my competition. Paranoia must have been messing with everyone's head, because now Li or Cyrax could go on a run. I'm in a spot where I need to find immunity somehow, and they want to keep me down for good.

There's the confirmation. Season Four was pretty recent, and Chun-Li's small immunity run is fresh in player's minds. Especially Wonder Woman, who's determined to win as many immunities as possible. Chun-Li takes a seat in the shelter for a second, staring at the fire. "Why did the votes go to Sackboy? He didn't really hurt anyone."

"We thought Cyrax had an idol at the time. Turns out he didn't." Diana answers, keeping it short.

Still, Li pushes. "So you believed I was closer to him?"

"We all know it." Very blunt from her.

Chun-Li has a confessional regarding HER take on Tribal.

Chun-Li: When I had that vote put on me, I thought for sure Diana got in their heads about me. We should be working together because of how much we win, but there lies a problem: we are too competitive to co-exist. One of us will HAVE to cut the other and win out. So as dominant as we could be together, I feel it will never be meant to be…under most circumstances.

A rivalry is starting to form between Chun-Li and Wonder Woman. It isn't very hostile given the personalities involved, but the warring factions really are helping to pin them against each other.

There's more game to go around, because Slade and T'Challa step away to catch up on their secret alliance. Both voted the same way for the past couple of times, but this could be the third vote where both know what's going on.

"Good plan. Even if Cyrax played an idol, someone from his season would still leave." T'Challa praises. "Any other master plans in there?" He asks, tapping his noggin.

"No, but people are trying."

T'Challa freezes. "Who's scheming without us?"

"Mac."

The king crosses his arms. "Him? Did he actually say something or is this your vengeance?"

"Both." Slade admits. "Did you hear about his deal with Chun-Li?"

Flashback!

Chun-Li and Mac were on the boat, but it comes from a different angle. While Mac proposes his deal to Li, there's a wall nearby.

"Do you have a name in mind?"

"Deathstroke, Slade, whatever he goes by..I just want him out. You know how I feel about it."

"He's not as active as I thought he'd be. Something isn't right with him.."

"He bashes my friend, but now he's CHILL? That man is NOT as cold as he thinks he is. It's crazy how we're just giving him a pass."

After he says that, Slade slides into frame, and actually shushes the camera. He keeps listening in as the flashback fades out.

A confessional airs featuring Slade the Spy.

Slade: All I needed was a cardboard box, and it would have been PERFECT. Mac shouldn't have brought my name up, being the quiet player he tries to be. I'll do anything in my power to make sure he fails. Mac, Mac, clueless little Mac. kiss that game you were playing goodbye.

In real time, T'Challa remains stoic. "So he chooses to be a traitor."

"We're traitors too."

"Yes, but his betrayal will hurt our games." T'Challa adds. "We need to tell the others, before he gets us first."

As T leaves, Slade puts a hand on his shoulder. "You tell them both. They'll believe you more than me."

"Whatever halts Mac's momentum."

In T'Challa's confessional, he's standing on a log, camera having a more elevated view.

T'Challa: If Mac is willing to go behind my back for deals, then he cannot be trusted anymore. How odd is it that SLADE has been more honest with me, than he has? I take everything Slade says with a grain of salt, but the truth is: We have done villainous acts in the game, and we are going to do another. Mac is the casualty of my path.

Besides the discussions of Tribal and beyond, everyone eventually decides to settle in. Not without tiny chats on the side. T'Challa lightly taps Diana.

"Is something wrong?" She whispers.

"I need to speak with you tomorrow.."

Diana nearly winces at that. Whatever information she's about to get won't please her, and she knows it.

Diana: Everytime someone told me we need to talk, it's never ended well. If T'CHALLA is saying that? Something went wrong. He's usually in on everything we've done, so this news is going to frustrate us. Or even worse: blow us up.

Day 27

The drone shot captures a view of the rising Sun. Pelicans roam around the beach, making a rare appearance. One walks past a conversation: a follow-up of that "talk" T'Challa needed to have with Diana.

"Slade said that when he was on the boat: Mac and Li were making a deal. He spills, making Diana's mouth hang open. "I know this is Slade..but we can't let them make backdoor deals."

"I may be crazy for saying this, but: I believe Slade. His plan to eliminate Sackboy would have helped in case of emergency, and I think he's being genuine with Mac too. Those two don't play nice." Diana admits. "And it's another reason to take Chun-Li down."

"You are fixated on her. Did she rub you the wrong way?" T'Challa asks.

"She's preparing for a game without Cyrax." Diana theorizes, having the correct read with no confirmation. "It doesn't help that she's getting in our way of immunities. How are we supposed to get further if she wins them all?"

"We can't get further if Mac leaks our strategy either." T'Challa adds. "So we are looking at three names."

"They're all good options to boot."

After Diana's comment, a T'Challa confessional airs.

T'Challa: Mac is someone who tried to play with everyone at once. You do not play the game, that me, Slade, and others are trying to play. There is only so much room for players like us.

In the next scene, T'Challa spills the exact same information to Gordon, who coughs at the absurdity. "Are you having a laugh?"

"I'm afraid not, Gordon. Mac is trying to eat us from within."

Gordon freezes, stunned at what he's hearing. "Bloody hell…"

In his confessional…

Gordon: …Mac. What the hell? We had them where we wanted and..you tried to WORK with them?

He throws his hands up.

Gordon: Call me after the episode and explain why you were so sloppy. I don't get it.

The "Little Mac Smear Campaign" gets worse for the pro. Slade doesn't just let one alliance in on that. Oh no. That's not good enough for the threatened player. He gets CYRAX one on one inside the Maldives cave.

"Don't let the numbers disadvantage scare you. I can find a way to help you out." Slade starts, looking to pin another target.

"Don't lie to me about this." Cyrax answers, being rather cold about it. Slade did lie to his face last vote, and along with Sektor, voted out his friend. Slade needs something good to sway him.

"I'm not lying. I can be as specific as possible for you."

"Then let's hear it."

Slade steps forward. "On the boat, Mac approached Li about an alliance for, and I quote: 'when this all blows over.' Did she ever tell you about that?"

Cyrax's head teeters down. Deep down, he and Li both knew they would have to go for the other eventually. But NOW? The cyborg tilts his head just thinking about it. His silence tells Slade all he really needs to know. "Hm."

"Wasn't expecting that?"

"Chun-Li was just targeted by Mac. Seems she will start playing selfishly rather soon." Cyrax takes away. "It is also a puzzling for Mac as well. Does he believe this won't get back to the other alliance?"

Slade clears his throat. "It already has. That's how you find your way out."

One of Cyrax's eyes light up. "Are you only spreading this because Mac wanted to vote you out?"

"All is fair in Survivor."

In Cyrax's confessional, he compacts his thoughts on this rising drama.

Cyrax: Slade lied to my soulless, metal cover. He is one of the reasons we lost a number. He has shown himself as the same villain of before. He HAS found a way to extend my alliances life in the game. We are down four-to-three, and Slade blowing up Mac's game is the perfect distraction to keep us alive the other day. If Mac must go, we will make that happen.

Cyrax and Chun-Li meet in another cave, where he breaks the big news to her. News, that she already knows about. Li winces just hearing it. "Is everything alright, Chun-Li?"

"Does everyone know I was lying to him?"

"That is not what I hear. I hear that Mac proposed the deal, and you went along with it." Cyrax repeats. "Some players will not be happy with either of you after what you said."

Chun-Li eyes widen. "I only said those things so he would leave me alone. I don't actually want to remove you OR Slade from this game."

Cyrax taps a foot. "I don't believe you are lying. Mac seems like he'll be in hotter water since he lied to more people. YOU may want to separate yourself from him though."

Li just shakes her head. "Yes."

Chun-Li: WHO SPIED ON US? Did Diana get sneakier? Or…

Her silence tells us she clocked it.

Chun-Li: I see. Slade's trying to snipe Mac. I should have known from the start..but this isn't new. Slade using this ammunition to eliminate an enemy IS a good concept, but I'm going to tell his enemy what's happening. Sorry Mac, but throwing you to the wolves may be my only chance to survive for the next batch of votes.

Fast cut to Chun-Li, on the shore looping in Peach on what she's planning to do. Peach gasps. "Oh dear. More fighting..that we, thankfully aren't involved in."

"I don't care if Mac leaves anymore, what matters is that's one less in Gordon's alliance." Chun-Li accepts.

"So who spread this?"

"Slade did. He spied on us. But he's trying to get Mac instead. I don't know what he's doing, but maybe I'm not seeing his strategy." Chun-Li admits. "If I watch this back I may see where he's coming from."

Before the Sun sinks, Peach gets a confessional.

Princess Peach: My… Li already informed ME of what Mac said because I'm her true number one. Yet it seems our potential with Mac is getting destroyed in front of our eyes. If he went behind his alliances backs to try one with us, then he would not have been trustworthy anyway. I have no qualms about voting out Mac if I need to, it's just strange that Slade, started this all and we're not paying him any attention. He hurt my game many times, I can't overlook him.

Night 27

Night has fallen. Trying to prevent her own, Chun-Li wakes a groggy Mac up to give him the news. They are decently away from the shelter too. Li does a basic repeat of the details, but says it in a newer way.

"Slade caught your proposal."

Mac rubs a hand on his face. He already knows now that if Slade got ahold of that information..he's not the only one with that information. "How bad did he blow it up?"

"Cyrax knows..Gordon knows.." Li sets a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry Mac but alot of people know."

Mac exhales, popping his neck. "He drug my name pretty bad. I'm not taking it from that dick!"

"You shouldn't. Fight back while you can."

"Oh trust me I WILL. He's getting a mouthful."

In Mac's confessional, he keeps that same energy.

Little Mac: HELL NO. He doesn't get to blow my spot and get away with it! Who does he think he is trying that? You're not the mastermind bro, hop off my game!

Seems like Mac and Deathstroke's little feud will explode into a big one. With both alliances knowing the backdoor deal Mac tried, that's another target pinned on someone. Next chapter, gets rises between two castaways if what Mac's saying is true.

So, I think it's time we start running down the cast for Season Six. Chapter by chapter, day by day. The first official cast member of Season Six IS…..Walter Hartwell White, the main character of Breaking Bad. He's the first Breaking Bad character to make the show, and is quite fitting for a cutthroat game. There is more than meets the eye to this character, as some may learn.

Stay tuned for the next chapter, where the next cast member WILL be announced. There's only twelve left, to get eighteen out of the way.
