It was a few days after that snow-day, and after waking up, Sonic was still feeling odd, his nose hurt, it was leaking plus his stomach felt like rocks, knowing baseball season was starting and he didn't want to miss it getting out of bed sluggishly putting on the baseball shirt he wore going to baseball games with Tom and Maddie sneezing and coughing unaware that Maddie could sense something was off with him as he entered the kitchen drinkijg orange-juice just as Tom walked in noticing he was wearing baseball gear, noticing he wasn't feeling good guessing he really wanted to go to the game even though his health came first, which also came before adventures which Tom agreed with being his adoptive parents in this part of the universe.
"Maybe you should stay home, as I think you have a cold after that snow-day the other day." Maddie said seeing Tom agree feeling the young male was warm knowing Maddie giving him a check-up might help him see sense, even though exciting things like baseball were happening seeing Sonic frown, not arguing seeing Tom leaving after breakfast sighing as he could still watch it on TV, it still was more fun going in person taking off the baseball jersey he was wearing over his pyjama-top which she thought cute getting her check-up stuff including ghe sethodcope makijg him a little anxious, he'd never been to a doctor in his life making her understand, knowing to be gentle like with some of her patients that were a tad nervous or had never seen a vet before like Sonic..
"Longclaw would normally get medicine which would help, I get the feeling Donut Lord probably told you about that, you know." Sonic said coughing seeing her frowning knowing it was a bad cold knowing he needed meds, rest and TLC to get back on his feet plus it would give them a chance to bond, as he and Tom did a lot of things together so was texting Tom, to ask him to go to thedrugstoreafter the game making Tails wonder what was wrong hearing him tell him making him surprised, seeing Knuckles shaking his head, eating his first chilli-dog, seeing why Sonic ate them seeing Tom grin at this, knowing Sonic would be amused if he knew.
"We didn't tell him to bury himself in snow." Knuckles added making Tails frown, as Sonic liked having fun, still adjusting to this planet and social stuff.
"Maddie's with him at home, they're probably bonding." Tom said.
"That's nice, as Maddie's really nice to animals." Tails replied.
"That's true plus they do need to bond, as we normally have adventures, plus maybe he'll think of her as a human Lomgclaw." he replied.
Meanwhile back at home, Sonic was on the couch watching the game with a blanket wrapped around him, despite the germs having a party in his body after Maddie had explained about colds and how they would run their course especially when they got him medicine to help seeing him drinking orange juice which had vitamin C in it, that could fight the germs that were making him feel this way, only he was burning up imagining Longclaw in Maddie's place.
"I think you're burning up, and need to cool down." she said putting a cold compress on his head to help with the fever seeing Tom back, explaining to her about Longclaw making her get it, knowing Thanksgiving was coming up, meaning they'd be visiting Rachel and her new husband along with JoJo making Sonic grin, knowing Rachel's husband was getting used to the adventures they got up to, besideshe and JoJo were friends.
