"Yes, it's the last day of school and the first day of Summer-break, knowing Shadow he's gonna be happy, ohhhh mayge that awesome vision might come true which we decided to keep a secret, oh yeah report-cards happen today, Tom and Maddie always say it doesn't matter what grades I get, as lomg as I try." Sonic said to his phone camera, as he was getting ready for school but livestreaming as he had a Tiktok account, which only Shadow knew about and followed only Tom and Maddie had no clue or if they found out, they would make him stop.
It was the last day of school forcSummer break meaning a lot of fun but before the fun could begin, there were things like report-cards and yearbooks all that school jazz normal kids that didn't have quills or super-powers had to deal with only his hand was crackling with blue energy because of his anxiety about the stuff they had to do and didn't want to unleash that energy all over his room taking deep breaths like Knuckles had taught him, after the last time it had happened after a Robotnik-centred nightmare which had taken Maddie and Shadow to calm him, despite being able to kick that mad-scientist's butt, Robotnik scared him remembering last Halloween but pushing that away, seeing Shadow and Tails entering noticing he was freaking out which surprised them from time to time wondering if they should get Tom or Maddie seeing him shake his head in reply, he didn't want to go into super-Sonic mode over something like this.
"I'm just worried about something dumb, is b-breakfast ready." Sonic asked stuttering feeling them hug him tight which was helping that feeling dissipate relieving them letting go of him, exchanging a look as the trio were going downstairs after Sonic went down the banister skateboard style making Shadow laugh at his antics.
"He's been like that sometimes, like that nightmare he had involving you know who." Tails whispered makijg Shadow nod, smiling as one of Sonic's little quill hairs was on his arm from hugging him which made him smile, deciding to put it in his special box after breakfast noticing Sonichad drank some of his black coffee by mistake, face-palming seeing his boy all jittery and talking fast just as Maddie walked in wide-mouthed, having a feeling this situation would happen impressing Knuckles asking if fighting him would help get Sonic back to normal, seeing Maddie shake her head in reply as she said family don't fight each other.
"It was an accident, he drank from my mug, it's my fault." Shadow said honestly.
"It's okay, Tom and I had a feeling this would happen, good thing it wasn't at school." Maddie replied to him seeing Sonic outside getting the caffeine-rush out of him impressing the neighbours after Tom explained until Sonic began to calm down not feeling so hreat, slumping against Tom's squad-car as Shadow came out along with Maddie checking him out just in case, tempted to let him stay home but Sonic shook his head as he had to go.
"I feel all drained, like when I do certain things with my powers, does coffee do that to you guys and why I can't have it." he said seeing Tom nod helping him up letting him eat donuts making him grin, as he still called Tom Donut Lord which he had to explain to Shadow which he thought cute, like everything about Sonic was to him feeling bad he'd accidentally given him his first taste of coffee seeing him sluggishly get into Maddie's car after he hugged him which Maddie and Tails found sweet, after the car pulled out of the driveway seeing Shadow going upstairs to his room, putting the tiny quill in his special box before sketching Sonelle with him snd Sonic which was making him grin
"So, how was the last day of school, was it one big party." Shadow asked Sonic.
"It was okay and had to do boring things and get my report-card, which Tom and Maddie are proud of only feel so tired after coffee and school, you seem better after this morning though." Sonic replied to him seeing him nodding explaining that after Tom had left, Maddie and Shadow had did errands including the art-store but after they'd came back, Shadow had been doing art plus Tails was excited about inventor's camp as Tom and Maddie had been lookijg for things for their kids to do during the summer-break and after knowing Tails loved inventing, had signed him up for inventing camp, and warrior camp for Knuckles, they just hadn't found any camps or day-camps that fit Shadow's shy personality and Sonic's energetic nature which was alright.
"The house is going to be quiet with those two gone for Summer." Sonic told Shadow seeing him agreeing guessing he'd been playing soccer at school seeing Sonic nodding in reply
