Chapter :- 5 Gaining a New Friend
It's been quite sometime The trio of Ash, Misty and Mito left Viridian Pokemon Centre and now they are in the Viridian Forest moving towards the Pewter City. As they are moving through the forest Mito notice that Misty is quite scared so she decided to confront her and said " Hey Mishy is everything alright?" to which Misty replied shakily " Yea I am alright" but Mito didn't belive her one bit but before she can say anything she heard Ash yell " Hey guys look there is a Pokemon" to which both of them turned around and see Ash is pointing towards a Caterpie who from the look say it scraed by Ash's shout.
Seeing this Mito is going to reprimand Ash but before she even open her mouth she heard another yell of fright turning she saw Misty is hiding behind a tree to which Mito sweat dropped as she understand that Misty is scraed of bug type pokemon. With a sigh Mito told to Ash " If you want to catch the Caterpie then catch and don't yell you are scaring that poor pokemon"
Hearing Mito reprimand him Ash blushed in embrassment and said " Right sorry" and with that Ash throw a pokeball at Caterpie seeing this Mito yelled " Idiot you have to battle it fast" but her jaw dropped when Ash caught Caterpie but soon came out of her stupor when Ash dragged her along with Misty in his celebration of catching his first pokemon much to her dismay.
Soon all of this come to end and Ash decided to call Caterpie out of his Pokeball and after coming out of his Pokeball Caterpie first came towards Mito and started to rub against her leg to which the redhead smiled and pat the bug pokemons head making it happy then Caterpie go towards Misty and did the same but Misty screamed and back away and said " Keep it away from me" which hurt Caterpie and with that Ash and Misty started argue.
Seeing this Mito sighed and thought " Why I decided to come with this two now I fear for my sanity it's best if I spend some time alone training my pokemon away from this two" with this Mito left two bickering teen alone and go somewhat deep in the forest and call out both her Pokemon as soon as they came into view Mito said " Ok guys let's do some training" and with that being said Mito started to help her pokemon in mastering the moves they already know.
After 6 hours of training Mito and her pokemon were exhausted but both Litten and Deino has mastered the moves their trainer has trained them in. With the training being done Mito thought about returning to Ash and Misty but in the end decided against it and camp the place she is in for the night.
Next day Mito woke up early in the morning and returned to where she left Ash and Misty and reaching there she sweat dropped as she saw Misty and Ash again shouting at each other. With a sigh she decided to stop both of them and cough a little to make her presence known. When Ash and Misty heard the cough they turned towards the sound to see Mito is standing there with a disappointed look on her face.
Seeing Mito Misty's face immediately brightened and she launched towards the Redhead surprising the girl and before Mito can react she was enveloped in a hug from Misty who asked her " Where were you? Why did you leave me with this Idiot?" to which Mito sighed and answered " As both of you are arguing I decided to go else where to get some training done and after training I slept there now tell me what happened here?" to which Misty tell Mito about everything to which the red head sighed and murmured " Why am I stuck between this two insane person? What did I do to deserve this?". After that With a sigh Mito turned towards Ash and said " Ash you know that Misty is scared of bug type pokemon then why are you trying letting your Caterpie go near her" to which Ash said " There is nothing scary about Caterpie" to which Mito said " I agree with you but that didn't mean everyone have to like them and Misty is the one that didn't like Bug type try to understand that" she then turned towards Misty and said " Misty while I understand that you don't like bug type but that didn't mean you will talk bad about them you know very well that pokemon also has feeling and what you are doing now is that you are hurting a feelings of a pokemon so don't do that" to which Misty look down and say "Sorry"
After that Mito decided to cook some breakfast for them and after eating their breakfast they started their journey again towards Pewter as they are travelling Mito caught an Odish to give her aunt which is none other than Ash's mother Delia because she had take care of her many times when her brother is out of the town and can't bring her with him. She had always help the woman in her garden and promised her when she start her journey she would catch an Odish for her.
As they are making their way through the forest Ash spotted a Pidgeotto and just like the idiot Mito knows he is send his Caterpie a bug type to fight against Pidgeotto a flying type and the result is disasterous because now infront of them they see that Pidgiotto is chasing the poor Caterpie who is running away in fear. Seeing this Mito face palmed while Misty started scolding Ash for sending Caterpie and said " Ash send Pikachu to fight Pidgeotto" to which the raven haired boy said " Ok" and send Pikachu and after a brief fight Ash managed to caught Pidgeotto.
After that Ash turned towards Caterpie to check on him but when he is about to touch him Caterpie suddenly started to use string shot on himself enveloping himself which confused Ash as he asked " What is happening to Caterpie?" to which Mito said " Caterpie is evolving". Hearing this Ash turned towards Mito and asked " But Mito isn't it a bit to soon for evolution?" to which Mito sighed and said " While this is true it also true that Bug pokemon evolve faster than other type of pokemon some said to go their First form to last evolution form in a single day" with Misty nodding her head.
Hearing this Ash said " I see thank you Mito" to which Mito said " Whatever Idiot"earning a chuckle from Misty and shout of indignation from Ash. After that Mito said " Well Ash call out all your Pokemon so I can heal them with superpostion I am sure you didn't have it with you" to which Ash shouted " You are wrong I have the superpostion with me and I can heal them you don't have to do anything" with that being said Ash started to search his bag for superpostion but to his dismay he couldn't find it.
Seeing this Mito could only sigh and Misty look at Ash in disbelief as who could forget something so necessary like superpostion. After searching for nearly 15 minutes Ash couldn't find it and he turned with a sheepish expression on his face and said " Umm I guess I forgot to pack one so please Mito could you heal them" to which Mito Shake her head and said " Whatever send them to me" to which Ash nodded and bring out all his pokemon while Mito is searching her bag for superpostion.
As Mito searching her bag Ash's Pikachu jumped on Mito's shoulder and nuzzle with her to which Mito smiled and scratch Pikachu's chin earning a delighted cha in return. After 5 minute of searching Mito found it and brought it out and sat down on the ground and Pikachu and Pidgeotto surrounds her and Mito healed both of them and pat them to which both the pokemon said Thanks in their own way to which Mito giggled and said "Welcome". As Mito is healing Ash's Pokemon Misty and Ash is standing on the side line when Misty asked Ash " Mito is amazing isn't she?" to which Ash nod his head and said " She is always able to connect with Pokemon even some of them considered dangerous and make friends with them easily just like her elder brother. Prof. Oak said they both are really gifted in this way so if she continue her journey with us then don't worry it will be a regular thing that you will see" to which Misty look at Ash in surprise then she turned towards Mito who is enjoying with Pikachu and Pidgeotto as well as two other Pokwmon that she didn't recognized but had a suspicion that they are Mito's so She turned towards Ash and about to ask what Pokemon are those but stopped when she saw Ash is is scanning them with his Pokedex but it said no data found.
Hearing this Misty sighed and decided to ask Mito herself so she step forward and asked "Mito are those your Pokemon?" to which Mito look at Misty and said " Yea Misty they are mine" to which Misty asked " I see but what Pokemon are those I don't recognised any of the two?" to Which Mito said " They are Deino and Toracat they are not from Kanto but from other region" ( Yes Litten has evolved when Mito was training her and deino and they were having a spar).
Hearing this Misty said with surprise " Outside of Kanto how did you get them?" but Mito didn't answer to that question and said " Well Misty I will tell you some other time but I think we waste enough time now let's get going" to which Misty nod her head and after recalling their Pokemon they again start their journey.
As they are travelling Mito suddenly felt someone is following them and she went on a high alert while try to think a way to tell Ash and Misty but before she could do that she felt that they were about to be attacked so she tackle both Ash and Misty to the ground earning a yelp from the teen but before they could ask why Mito did that when they saw a kid in samurai armour and a sword in hand and understood why Mito did what she did.
With that being done they stand up and dust themselves of when Mito screamed " WHAT THE BIG DEAL YOU BRAT DO YOU WANT TO KILL US?" to which the Samurai pointed his swords towards them and said " Are you from the Pallet town?" to which Mito and Ash said in unison " Yes we are" while Misty shook her head and said " I am not from Pallet" to which Samurai said " I see" then pointed his swords towards both Mito and Ash and said " I challenge both of you in a Pokemon Battle" to which Ash said " I accept" but Mito move towards Samurai and after reaching him she smacked him in the head and said " This is not how someone challenge other in a Pokemon battle brat but sure I also accept the Challenge" to which Samurai rubbed his head where now a bump is showing and said " Ok who is first" to which Mito said " I am going to battle you first" and glared at Ash as if challenging him to say other wise to which Ash shrunk as to not invoke the wrath of his best friend and rival and step back.
With that being said Samurai and Mito stand against each other while Misty act as a refree and said " This is a one on one match between Mito and Samurai now challengers bring out your pokemon" to which Samurai through a Pokeball and Pinsir came out while Mito bring out her Deino and prepare for battle.
Samurai start the battle with commanding his Pinsir and said " Pinsir use Double Hit" with that Pinsir started to run towards Deino to attack him When he get close to Deino Mito said " Deino use Dragon Pulse follow up with Fire Fang" which Deino execute perfectly and when the attack ended to Mito's surprise and annoyance Pincir is unconscious. Seeing this Misty said " The match is over winner is Mito" to which Samurai said " I again lost to a trainer from Pallet. 'sigh' well lets see how I do in the next match"
Hearing this Mito said " You didn't train your Pokemon well that is the reason you lost so train your Pokemon first then challenge someone" to which Samurai bowed his head and said " Thank you". After that Ash took Mito's place while Mito decided to stand on side line with her starter Pokemon and see how will Samurai fare against Ash but to her utter shock both of the trainer bring out Metapod a Pokemon that can't move until it evolved and they are commanding their Metapod to use harden again. Seeing this Mito and Misty both facepalmed and shook their head and said " Idiot's they really fighting Metapod with another Metapod" with that being said they move a little far and sat down on the ground and started conversation between themselves while Deino is sleeping with his head resting in Mito's lap and she is patting his head.
Now it's afternoon and both stubborn idiot is still at it while both Mito and Misty had just finished their lunch with the food Mito made but soon they all stop when they hear a buzzing sound and look around and suddenly Samurai screamed "Run it's Beedrill" to which the teens face turned to one of horror as they started to recall their Pokemon but Ash's Metapod gets captured by Beedrill who thought it was a Kakuna and took it with them while Ash want to go after them he didn't as Misty, Samurai and Mito didn't let him and they started to run towards Samurai's house.
While Running Mito saw an Evee who look like get injured by Beedrill so Mito Pick it up and started run after her friends while cursing her luck about getting into trouble. Soon they reach Samurai's house and go inside the house and lock the door. Which get pierced by a Beedrill but soon they left causing the occupant in the room to sigh in relief.
After that Samurai turned towards Ash and said angrily " Why did you left Metapod huh why did you abandoned him" to which Ash shout " I DIDN'T ABANDONED HIM I WAS ABOUT TO GO AFTER HIM BUT YOU GUYS STOP ME" to which Samurai about to retrot but Misty cut them off and said " Guys don't fight it just an unfortunate situation there is no one at fault" to which Mito nod her head and said " Yea Misty is right so Samurai don't blame Ash and Ash you have to act fast but now we have to wait for retrieve Metapod when you retrieve him apologise to him as he certainly thought You had abandoned him" to which both the boys look down and nod their head and Ash about to say something but a pained cry of " Evee" was heard and they all look at the Pokemon in Mito's arm and see that an injured Pokemon in her Arm so Misty asked her " Mito where did you find an Evee" to which Mito said "While we are running from Beedrill I found this little guy injured so I pick him up so I can treat it" to which Everyone nod their head.
After that Mito started to treat Evee and soon it regain it's counsciousness and Mito gave him a Pecha berry which the Evee eat and as soon as he eat the berry the effect of poison started to wear off seeing this Mito smiled and said " How are you feeling little guy" to which Evee wag it's tail and started to repeat its name to which Mito smiled and said " I am glad you feel great but take some rest ok?" to which Evee nod its head and climb onto Mito's lap much to her surprise and fall asleep. Seeing this Mito smiled and started pat Evee on the head and soon She as well as other fell asleep.
Morning came quicker than expected as Mito woke up when she feel someone lick her face. Opening her eye she saw it was Evee so with a smile she said " Good Morning Evee" but became alearted when Evee started bark frantically as if he tried to tell Mito something and Mito understand that so she look around and see Ash was missing.
Seeing this Mito understand what Evee is trying to say to her so She woke up other two and said " Guys we have to find Ash he has gone after Metapod alone" hearing Mito's word Samurai and Misty jolted up and shout " WHATTTT?" to which Mito nod her head and soon she and her other two companion go to search for Ash.
Soon they found Ash as he trying to recall Metapod but Metapod is refusing and they see that Ash started to apologise to Metapod to which the bug Pokemon has tear in its eye but soon the emotional scene came to an end when Beedrill started to attack them and while they are safe because of Samurai's net Ash wasn't and Metapod took a blow for Ash and seeing this Ash cried out in horror but something amazing happened as Metapod evolved into Butterfree seeing this Ash exclaimed " Metapod you evolved into Butterfree now lets teach them a lesson " to which Butterfree agree and Ash commands " Butterfree use sleep Powder " which Butterfree did and made all the Beedrill fell asleep.
After sometime they decided it's time to start their journey again so they bid farewell to Samurai and started walking but came to halt when they saw Evee was sitting in their path looking at Mito.
Seeing this Mito Move forward and kneel down and said " Well Evee this is goodbye so stay safe" but became surprised when Evee leapt into her arm to which Misty said " Mito it's look like Evee want to come with you" to which Mito look at Evee and asked " Evee you really want to come with me?" to which Evee nod his head and wag its tail. Seeing this Mito bring out a custom made Pokeball and said " Thank you Evee to join my Family" and gently touched the Pokeball on his head and as soon as Mito did it Evee turned into a red bream and sucked into the Pokeball and got caught without any struggle.
After that they resume their journey with Mito being happy that she now has another new friend. One that she hoped to catch one day.

Guys please suggest me what Pokemon should came out of the Egg that Cynthia gave to Mito.
