"Ooh, edible rings, what're these Sonic." Tom heard Shadow askijg Sonic making the blue hedgehog male smirk at Shadow's question knowing about donuts because Tom was the Donut Lord in Sonic's eyes knowing that Shadow had to learn about so his calling donuts edible rings was adorable grabbing a rainow-sprinkled donut stuffing it in his moutg seeing his eyes widen in joy as his tastebuds sang as Tom and Sonic chuckled knowing he might become a donut-hog like how Tom was the Donut Lord as Shadow was eating Timbits from Tim Horton's which he was enjoying along with Sonic making Tom smile as this was cute letting them be as they were kids and kids ate crazy things for breakfast including donuts seeing Maddie entering the kitchen seeing what was happening.
"Wait, are they eating donuts for breakfast." Maddie asked Tom surprised.
"Hey, Shadow was curious and thought they were power-rings until we explained to him along with trying them but loves them, plus we're not a normal family Maddie." Sonic responded to her seeing Shadow happy, drinking milk to go with those donuts just as Tails walked in, impressed by his friends's choice in breakfast seeing Shadow roll his eyes at the kid eating another donut but leaving the room feeling sleepy going to his attic-room making Sonic grin as he and Tails were doing their own things like video-games hoping it would be a peachy day seeing Unit entering saying Shadow had left the house making them exchange a look, deciding to go after him just in case seeing cop cars outside Tim Horton's making Sonic facepalm, as he'd introduced Shadow to donuts hoping Wade and the other officers wouldn't hurt Shadow as Wade saw Sonic approaching asking, if he knew what was goijg on.
"Yes, my friend Shadow's in there as he discovered donuts, don't hurt him." Sonic replied to him entering hearing Shadow excited, really excited making him frown guessing it was like him with Chilli-dogs a little only he'd never do this seeing Shadow grin eating donuts gulping seeing Sonic there hoping he hadn't gotten them in trouble seeing Sonic shaking his head explaining the Green Hills Police Force were outside.
"Let's go before we get Tom in trouble, we'll talk about this later." Sonic told him.
"Okay Soni, but sorry as I couldn't help myself." Shadow told him as they left returning to the house relieving Tom and Maddie asking what happened as Sonic explained making Tom sigh, relieved Sonic had solved things before thijgs escalated saying Maddie had went to the doctor makijg everybody wonder, if she was alright seeing Knuckles also worried making Tom get it assuring them she was alright seeing Shadow going upstairs to his room thinking Sonic was mad at him tired after this falling asleep.
A while later, Maddie returned from the doctor's really happy as she'd big news to tell their unique family as she'd been acting strange, having food cravings amomg other things which was why she'd went to the doctor and was telling Tom making him excited and had to tell their other kids, hoping they'd be as excited like them plus heard what Shadow had did so was checking on him going upstairs to his room which surprised him thinkijg she was mad at him seeing her shake her head in reply.
"Are you okay, why did you go to the doctor, are you sick." Shadow asked.
"I'm okay but it's something I want to tell everybody later, plus Sonic was worried about you." she replied to him making him thoughtful after she left wondering what the surprise could be.
