"Hey Sonic, lomg time, no see, and see Shadow's with you." Sonic heard a voice say, which was faniliar seeing a college-aged him wearing a jacket with a chunky belly and had messed-up fanfs like he hadn't brushed them in a while alomg with his quill hair making Shadow unsure.

"It's okay, it's just Mikey , my older alternate-self who sometimes visits and we have shenigans but he's harmless but lonely, buddy." Sonic told Shadow making him surprised yet touched by his Sonic's sweetness befriending Mikey seeing the older hedgehog male looking at the grocery bags but Sonic was taking them home to Tom and Maddie then would hang out with Mikey.

"Can I maybe, umm come with you bros." Mikey asked.

"Hmmm, I guess but Tom and Maddie will be surprised to see you." Sonic said as they were going at super-speed noticing Mikey taking deep-breaths as they arrived at the Wazwozi house, hearing Shadow ask if he was okay.

"Yeah my powers are kinda rusty." Mikey told him.

"It's cool bro, just relax and they'll come back." Sonic told him.

Tom and Maddie were surprised seeing Mikey here, knowing he was here to let Sonic go wild causing shenigans seeing Mikey drinking soda belching hearing Sonic laugh hysterically, unaware Maddie and Shadow exchanged a frown at this.

"Is it a good idea to let Soni with this guy, he might get him in trouble." Shadow whispered giving Tom an idea because Sonic had his phone but Tom had a tracker on it so oif Mikey did talk Sonic into doijg something stupid, he could intervene with Shadow being police officers seeing Mikey and Sonicgrabbing skateboards and leaving the house just as Knuckles returned with library-books which Maddie had requested so she could reas to the bump which Knuckles found sweet wondering what Mikey wanted with Sonic.

"How do you know about Mikey." Shadow asked him.

"He comes here every so often, scrounges off Tom and Maddie but gets Sonic into trouble." Knuckles told him making Shadow nervous at the male-echidna's words, but enjoying storytime which Maddie understood.

"Sonic is good, there's no way he'd let that bum talk him into something stupid." Tom reassured him.

"Ohhh, you wanna live in Green Hills, that's cool but why didn't you ask Tom and Maddie." Sonic said to Mikey.

"You know what they think of me, cub, they think I"m a loser." he replied eating a cheeseburger..

"Wait if you didn't go home to your Green Hills, where've you been hanging out." Sonic asked.

"The junkyard, I kinda made a fort and been hanging out there." Mikey answered him.

Sonic was astounded by this knowing that was no place to live deciding to find him a home knowing there were vacant apartments leading him there surprising Mikey that he was being kind to him, hearing him say, he couldn't let himself live in the junkyard which Mikey got hugging him.

"Dude, take a shower okay." Sonic told him.

"I'll try cub but thanks, don't tell Tom and Maddie." Mikey said.

"I guess it's okay, but they're gonna ask." he told Mikey hearing him snort.

"Don't be a goody-paws all your life, be rebellious." Mikey replied as he left.

Tom and Maddie were relieved seeing him back, and he saw Knuckles, Shadow and Tails sitting around Maddie on the floor noticing books beside her hearing Tom explain that Maddie had been reading to the bump, then Knuckles, Shadow and Tails had sat on the floor listening to her reading.

"Awww that's sweet, relax, Mickey didn't do anything stupid, he was homeless." Sonic told them.

"Ohhh okay and guess he's stickijg around, then." Tom said seeing him nodding.
