Sonic noticed, that Shadow was very quiet and kept to himself but was in control of his powers knowing it involved Maria plus Tom and Maddie had put him In therapy as he needed it but was sitting at the kitchen after making himself black coffee which the hedgelord was loving and fit his vibe like his room in the attic which Sonic understood entering after coming back from baseball practice as he was in a baseball team which Tom had let him try out for in the middle of Summer realising school was starting soon getting something to drink from the fridge. "Somebody's enjoying his coffee break. Only at the park, I saw something which I don't know if I should tell you or not." Sonic said making Shadow curious but anxious at the same time.

"Just tell me Sonic…" he said softly which stunned him. "I ran into this orange furred and quilled female hedgehog who said she was from another universe-" Sonic said hearing the doorbell ribg zipping to the door answering seeing Shadow's eyes widen in surprise seeing the female orange furred female hedgehog hug him tight which Sonic noticed seeing him back away from her just staring at her.

"H-how can this be…" he mumbled seeing her ubderstand this was a lot for him to take in hearing Sonic ask him, if he wanted her to leave seeing him shake his furry head. "Even if it's not the her I knew, this is intresting and I need time to get used to her." Shadow said hugging her with tears in his eyes which Sonic got knowing Tom and Maddue would be cool with an alternate Maria staying with them.

"Everything's okay Shadow, let's take this slow." she told him making him nod.

Tom and Maddie were surprised hearing Maria explain herself smirking at Shadow during dinner. They were in the backyard having a BBQ meaning chilli dogs among other things only Sonic noticed along with Tails that Shadow was calm and guessed it was because of Maria which was good plus saw them just chilling out.

"We should make her a room, if she's staying which we're cool with. We're not telling GUN as those guys set Shadow off." Tom said relieving Shadow. "This might make him happier you know." Maddie said seeing Tom and Maria laughing but Shadow 2as eating spicy chilli dogs as he liked his spicy compared to Sonic making Tails impressedby this and knew this was quite a surprise especially for Shadow that an alternate version of Maria was in his life now and living with them.
