The day after the wedding, Lucas and Brooke are, as expected, packing their bags in their room... Both of them having to take a flight to Cancun in the late afternoon, in order to spend their honeymoon there. Like the first time, Debie will take care of Lily during their week-long stay in Mexico. Clay and Haley, for their part, will replace Lucas, since they have to start working tomorrow at the company. Lucas had secretly arranged with Karen and Keith so that Brooke could have some time off. Finally finishing packing their things, Lucas approaches Brooke, seeming hesitant to ask her something.

Brooke : What's going on? You doesn't look good.

Lucas : I'm fine, love. Don't worry. I just have a favor to ask.

Brooke : A favor? What is it?

Lucas : I want you to come somewhere with me.

Brooke : Sure, but where?

Lucas : You'll see. Follow me.

Baffled, Brooke lets Lucas lead her by the hand to their car, and they both get in. Lucas starts the car and they leave the house, driving for a while in heavy silence. The confusion then gives way to surprise when they arrive, much to Brooke's surprise, in front of a cemetery.

Brooke : A cemetery?

Lucas : This is where Peyton and Sawyer are buried. I've never been here before.

Brooke : Why?

Lucas : Because after I got out of the hospital, I never had the courage to come. I felt not only responsible for the accident, but also guilty for not having been there for the funeral.

Brooke : It wasn't your fault, Lucas. You were in a coma.

Lucas : I know, but I couldn't help but feel guilty regardless.

Brooke : But today, that's not the case anymore, right?

Lucas : No, thanks to my psychologist who followed me after the operation, but especially thanks to you. That's why I asked you to come with me. I wanted you to be with me when I finally say goodbye to them. Would you like to share that with me?

Brooke : Of course, Lucas. It's not even a question.

Getting out of the car, Lucas takes Brooke's face in his hands to kiss her lovingly.

Lucas : I love you so much, my love.

Brooke : I love you too. Forever.

Intertwining their fingers, they finally enter the cemetery, in order to pay their respects at Peyton and Sawyer's grave. Hand in hand, Lucas and Brooke then spend a long time in front of the tombstone, in silence. Brooke supports Lucas as best she can, unable to imagine the absolute horror of having to bury her child.

Lucas : If someone had told me, right after the accident, that my life would have meaning again, I would not have believed it. I could never have imagined being this happy, after what I have lived through. Lily, our babies and you are the most precious thing in the world to me and I intend to enjoy this happiness every day. I love you.

Brooke : I love you too, my love.

Lucas : Well, I think we should go or else, we will miss our plane. And there is no question of being late for your surprise.

Having to go back home to say goodbye to Lily and Debie, and pick up their suitcases, Lucas and Brooke waste no time. They quickly head towards the exit of the cemetery, before getting in the car and hitting the road again.

At the end of the afternoon, Lucas and Brooke land in Mexico, to spend their honeymoon there. However, as soon as they leave the airport, Brooke is surprised when Lucas does not give the address of the hotel to the taxi. He gives her an unknown address instead... The driver then takes a road that Brooke does not know. She immediately questions Lucas while the car starts driving along the Mexican coast.

Brooke : We're not going straight to the hotel?

Lucas : No, first your surprise!

Brooke not insisting any more, the vehicle continues to drive like this for another hour, until sunset. Lucas then makes an incongruous request to Brooke while the road ends in a dead end.

Lucas : Close your eyes.

Brooke : Why?

Lucas : Because I'm asking you!

Brooke : Thank you for your answer which enlightens me a lot, but okay, I'll close my eyes!

Obedient with good grace and amused, Brooke then hears Lucas get out of the car, then open his door. He gently takes her hand to make her get out of the taxi in turn, before guiding her on a path. They both walk like this on a small earthy and stony path, which seems to go down, for long minutes. The smell of the sea and the sound of waves suddenly reach Brooke's nose and ears, and Lucas finally stops.

Lucas : You can open your eyes, my love.

Brooke opens her eyes and is incredibly surprised to see in front of her, a magnificent and charming house by the sea. Not believing her eyes, she remains speechless for a few moments, then struggling to find her words.

Brooke : What... what is it?

Lucas : A house!

Brooke : I can see that, Lucas! But whose house is it?

Lucas : Ours. If you like it and we sign the papers today.

Brooke : That your surprise?

Lucas : Yes, and I went to great lengths to find it. I wanted a house that was absolutely perfect to please you. So, do you like it?

Brooke : Of course I do! It's beautiful!

Lucas : So, all we have to do is go see the real estate agent inside and it's ours.

Brooke : Is that right?

Lucas : I'm telling you!

Astonishment gave way to joy, Brooke threw herself at Lucas' neck to kiss him passionately. They exchanged a long kiss while Lucas hugged Brooke and lifted her slightly off the ground. When they finally separated, Lucas took Brooke's hand again, leading her inside the house.

Lucas : Shall we visit?

Brooke : Yes!

After visiting each room of the house, Lucas and Brooke signed the papers brought by the real estate agent. The house officially theirs, the real estate agent left, leaving them alone together. Lucas immediately came to take Brooke in his arms to kiss her tenderly, before caressing her face.

Brooke : I can't believe she's really ours. I can't wait for Lily to come here to see her.

Lucas : Me too. We could come with her during the next school holidays, what do you say?

Brooke : Yeah, that would be perfect.

Lucas : In the meantime, I was thinking that we could baptize her.

Brooke : Oh really? And how?

Lucas : By spending our entire honeymoon here, making love.

Brooke : What about the hotel?

Lucas : There was never a hotel. I didn't make a reservation.

Brooke : Is that true? Why?

Lucas : Because I knew you'd like the house and that we'd stay here.

Brooke : What if you didn't?

Lucas : I didn't even consider that possibility, my love.

Brooke : You're way too sure of yourself, Mr. Scott.

Lucas : And you're way too dressed up, Mrs. Scott.

Without warning, Lucas skillfully hoists Brooke onto his shoulder and heads for the bedroom. Brooke immediately lets out a little squeal, then bursts out laughing as Lucas' hand lands on her butt.

Brooke : Lucas, what are you doing?

Lucas : I told you! We have a house to christen! A whole house!

The bedroom door closed behind them, and it is no longer laughter, but moans that fly into the house.

A week later, Lucas and Brooke are enjoying the last evening of their heavenly stay in Mexico. They have lunch on the beach, admiring the sunset, then make passionate love. They are now tightly embraced on the deserted beach, contemplating the glowing horizon.

Brooke : Even if I can't wait to see Lily tomorrow, I'm sad to leave.

Lucas : Me too, my love. Especially since the prospect of going back to work doesn't really enchant me.

Brooke : Why? What's going on?

Lucas : I didn't want to worry you about this before the wedding, but it seems that my parents have started to act.

Brooke : What do you mean?

Lucas : I think Julian gave them our client list and they're stealing it from me.

Brooke : Really? But you said it was spying!

Lucas : And I do. But I can't prove anything yet. All I know is that two of my biggest partners have dropped me.

Brooke : I see. And you think they're doing business with your parents now?

Lucas : Yes, but there's no way to know. Since Julian knew all the details of the contracts, my parents must have made them a better deal. But they'll never admit it, even if I ask them.

Brooke : It's unfair and unjust. What are you going to do then?

Lucas : If the bleeding continues, Clay, Haley and I will have no choice but to find new clients.

Brooke : Is it going to be difficult?

Lucas : Probably, because when I started my company, I started from scratch. Without the connections my parents have. And then, over time, I also built my own network of relationships.

Brooke : It's terrible for you, though. Doing this to yourself, after all the work you've done. Can't you sue your parents to stop all this?

Lucas : Yes, but it might take a long time and with no guarantee of results. In the meantime, we absolutely have to replace the lost customers.

Brooke : I understand. Is there anything I can do to help you?

Lucas : No, I'll be fine. Don't worry. You have enough on your plate with Lily and your job at the restaurant. I don't want you to get tired or worry, okay? Our babies are more important than society.

Brooke : Okay, sweetheart. I promise.

Lucas : Okay, let's talk about something else. This evening is too good to ruin by talking about my parents.

Brooke : You're right. What would you like to talk about then?

Lucas : The sea.

Brooke : The sea? Why?

Lucas : Because I'm dying to make love to you in the water.

Brooke : But we've been doing that all week, including in the bathtub!

Lucas : All the more reason not to lose the good habits!

Lucas suddenly stands up, lifting Brooke as if she weighed nothing, to join the warm waters. Their two bodies then make only one tandos as they float entwined and Lucas makes her his again.
