"Shadow ain't you happy that Maria's back, even if she's from an alternate world and like us." Shadow heard Sonic say.
"Yes but it's just strange, as the one I know you know.. But I'm happy to have her back." Shadow told him eating Shickers bars which surprised Sonic, since he knew said ultimate life-form liked eating coffee beans for breakfast and drinking coffee so the fact he liked Snickers bars was intresting, hoping Maria knew seeing Shadow smirk making Sonic sebse something. "Of course she knows, she may be from another universe but regardless, she's still Maria and I love her-" he told Sonic blushing making Sonic smirk making Shadow gulp realising what he'd just said.
"Tell her and I'll Chaos control you, somewhere nobody will find you, not even your precious human parents, got it." Shadow said.
"Alright, alright I won't tell her, you know there's nothing wring with telling her. Love is a good thing." Sonic replied to him.
He'd gotten quite a shock when an orange-furred female hedgehog who was Maria but from an alternate universe which had stunned Shadow inky he was getting used to her, enjoying having her around which made him calmer only Tom and Maddie had found her and Shadow a house a few blocks away in Green Hills so Maria was moving their things into the new house and Shadow was coming with Sonic to help her. Right now, he was just hanging out with Sonic but was quiet which bothered Sonic and Tails noticing his wings had revealed themselves, and they'd wanted to ask him about that knowing Shadow might get grumpy about that guessing he'd tell Maria seeing Tails agreeing. "I should go, help." Shadow said activating his wings leaving making Tails in awe at this.
At his and Maria's new house, Tom and Maddie were helping and had brought groceries which Maria appreciated but smiled seeing Shadow as Maria hugfed him making his brown-furrred cheeks go pink which surprised Tom and Maddie guessing Shadow had feelings for Maria sensing Sonic knew seeing Shadow surprised they'd gotten groceries thanking them only Maria was ordering pizza knowing Shadow loved pizza along with hot pockets, Snickers vars and spicy things beyond chilli dogs only she was understanding, that Shadow had made mistakes but he was working on that besides, GUN were the bad guys even in her universe as she'd told him this which he was keeping secret only Knuckles and Wase understood after their adventures to and in Reno which had surprised Tom seeing Wade use the Flames of Disaster likecKnuckles.
"This place is good Maria, it just needs getting used to, do you like it." Shadow asked her. "Yes of coyrse and always imagined we'd have a place of our own to call home." Maria told him making him nod getting it hearing the doorbell which spiiled the moment getting it, seeing the pizza was here paying the delivery guy noticing the mascot looked like Knuckles guessing the pizza place had gotten inspiration from Sonic and his friends hearingvMaria say, that maybe he'd inspire somebody in Green Hills to use his likeness for a mascot making him sigh. "That won't happen Maria." Shadow told her.
"You think Maria and Shadow are liking their new house, and was Shadow being… his usual self when you and Maddie were there helping Maria." Maddie heard Sonic asking.
It was dinnertime so Sonic, Tails, Tom and Maddie were at the table in their kitchen, but having takeout since it'd been a long day and they'd been helping Maria and Shadow move into their house so didn't feel like cooking only Sonic's question confused them wondering what he meant making Sonic gulp remembering Shadow's threat about what he'd do if he told anybody what Shadow had revealed, not wanting to be telepirted somewhere they couldn't find him. "You know being grumpy that's what I meant, nothing bad." Sonic replied drinking soda making Tom and Maddie get it.
. A bit later, Unit was in drone-mode and Sonic was controlling him, sending him to Maria and Shadow's house seeibg Maria and Shadow watching TV then Shadow leaving the room hearing wingbeats outside. "Chaos-Sphere." Shadow yelled as energy enitted destroying Unit making Sonic freak out going to Maria and Shadow's house seeing Shadow throw Unit in the trash before going inside so Sonic was retrieving it from the trash "Nope, he thanked us for helping, but it's okay." Tom said making him relieved by this.
