"Why is Sonic mad at Shadow." Maddie asked Tails. She and Tom had heard him slam his bedroom door making her and Tom concerned since he, Knuckles and Tails had went to the movies only they'd invited Shadow, somebody who'd never been to a movie theater in his life.
"Shadow got us kicked out and Sonic's upset about it." Tails said.
"Ohhhh that makes sense. But Shadow's probably never been to a movie. Since he was asleep for fifty years." Tom said making Tails nod. "Yeah but that's not an excuse for Shadow's behaviour." Knuckles told them.
"It kinda reminds us of you, because you were pretty clueless about our Kane's, but Wade helps you learn and you like it here now." Maddie said making Knuckles guess she was right.
A bit later, it was dinner so Sonic was at the table, explaining what had happened which Tom and Maddie got but he got that Shadow didn't get this world hoping Maria was talking to him about this.
"She probably is, but hope Mei doesn't find out." Sonic told them. "Yes as she looks up to thim so hearing he did that might stun her." Tails told them.
"I can't believe you caused chaos in a theatre, I'm so proud." Shadow heard Gerald say, only Maria didn't think it was something to be proud of deciding not to talk about it in front of Mei. "What did daddy do, that was bad." Mei asked them.
"Nothing honey, don't worry, your dad being stupid." Maria told her. Shadow sighed as she went upstairs to get ready for bed wondering why her dad smelt of popcorn making Gerald sigh as Maria being mad at him. "You were just defending yourself my boy." he told him.
Shadow smirked at this hearing Mei calling him to come kiss her goodnight as he telepirted upstairs into her room making Mei happy only she had a question on her mind. "Why do you and uncle Sonic fight." she asked him making Shadow sighing guessing Maria had been talking to her.
"It's complicated honey." he told her kissing her cheek seeing her lie down in bed as he turned on the nightlight before leaving her room going to join Maria in their room as Maria hugged him, understanding that after being asleep for fifty years, he didn't get social things so she and the others could help, impressed that Mei had asked him, why he and Sonic sometimes didn't get along kissing him.
