"You think my first day of school would be Kay, dad." Sonic heard a young voice asking him, belonging to his cub, who looked like him and had powers like him and her first day of kindergarten which made her anxious not wanting to cause a sonic boom. "It's okay, Chilli as Mei's there in your class." Sonic reassured her and felt her hug his leg.
"You got this, as you play ball on the Green Hills Chilli Dogs baseball team." Sonic told her.
"Y-Yeah you got a piubt daddy. Mei likes coming to games." Chilli told him.
He then walked her into the elementary school to the kindergarten room, making Chilli take deep-breaths like Sonic had taught her along with Tom and Maddie when she got anxious as last week, she had kindergarten orientation to get used to her peers and her teacher hugging her dad before going to put her stuff away making Sonic relieved seeing Mei teleport chuckling paw-bumping Chilli as they were great friends. But at recess, playing baseball and her anxiety running high, activated her powers making her do a sonic boom vanishing.
"Chilli, where did you go." Mei called out. "She must've disappeared, we should tell the teacher." a kid said making her nod.
"Be okay Chilli, wherever you are." Mei said following her classmates inside as the teacher asked where Chilli was hearing the black-brown female cub explain, making the teacher freak out.
"Sonic, you gotta come downstairs, there's something you gotta see." Sonic heard Tom yell making him nervous, as it was morning running downstairs seeing a female blue furred, sneaker wearing cub who was running around like him making him surprised. "Hey pops, I'm Chilli from the future, and your cub." she said making Sonic's eyes widen in awe asking how this happened.
"I went super fast and sonic boomed, next thing I knew, I was here but not scared, because I'm here with you guys plus the future's safe." Chilli told him smiling playfully which Tom and Maddie thought cute asking if she was hubgry seeing her nod asking if they could play ball making Sonic impressed that Chilli played baseball seeing her nod.
"Yep, on the Green Hills ChillinDogs baseball team. You along with uncle Shadow and Aubt Maria come to my games and cherr loud when we get home runs." she told him eating cereal only Tom noticed she was a lil chunky knowing she was a growing cub making Knuckles chuckle at that. They then saw Mei teleport making Chilli happy hugging her making the female black-brown furred female cub curious as Sonic explained to her making her eyes widen in surprise learning about Chilli which Sonic thought sweet, Mei was making a pal which was like the alternate Maria being Shadow's soulmate so Chilli could stay with them knowing his future self would be cool with it.
"You've got a point, but we can handle things, or just come up with something to explain if people ask questions." Sonic said.
Chilli was drawing the future version of her dad, making Sonic impressed but saw her quiet but Mei hugged her, knowing Tom and Maddie would adopt her alomg with Sonic but she was getting sleepy making Tom and Maddie realise she needed an nap wrapping a blanket around her kissing her head making her smile in sleep.
"We should make her a room since she's gonna be staying for a while." Maddie told Tom seeing him nod. Sonic was helping them as he was becoming attached to Chilli.
