Chapter 6

In a restaurant in Metropolis, we see two people having dinner having spent the day just to themselves. This was Naruto and Beautriz on their first date and were having a great time together. He had been making this a habit over the last couple weeks and had been spending time with Beautriz, Tora, Mari, Kara, and Barbara, taking them out on dates and getting to know them better. Right now, he was in a good place and had been feeling better than he had in a long time.

"Today's been a great day, thank you for this whole thing." Beautriz said with a smile as Naruto nodded with his own smile.

"Of course, you're a good friend and I'm glad that I could take a beautiful and smart woman like you. I should be thanking you for wanting to give this whole thing a chance. I know it's not ideal." Naruto said, giving her an embarrassed look.

"I know it's a little odd, but I also know the type of guy you are, so I'm not worried about you in the slightest in taking advantage of it." Beautriz said with a smile and he couldn't be any happier at hearing this. "Also Kara said, you're the last member of your parents' clans." She smirked at his reaction when he coughed and saw his eye twitch. He'd get back at Kara for telling her that bit. She probably told the others as well.

He shook his head and mock glared at her. "Well, I'm glad you're handling this okay, even if it's not ideal, I appreciate you and the other girls." Naruto said to her with a smile.

"It took awhile to get used to it, but I'm okay now and... what is that?" She saw something heading towards them and before they could do anything, it passed by them and everyone else in the room and to their shock and surprise, they changed into being apes.

"What the hell is going on and whose ass do I need to kick because this is ridiculous?!" Naruto said with a twitch of annoyance in his tone.

"We're gorillas, who do you know would want all humans to be like him and hates humans." Beautriz deadpanned with him instantly getting what she was saying.

"Grodd…. that arrogant, piece of garbage, I'm going to find him and he's going to be dead when I get my hands on him." Naruto said with Beautriz nodding in agreement.

"Can I help?" She asked with a sweet smile, though it was different since she was now an ape.

"And it's not just us either that is being changed, look around." She did that and it wasn't just them that had been changed, but everyone had been changed into apes.

"I hope that someone is doing something about this because otherwise, I'll rip out his soul with my Rinnegan when I get my hands on him." He said seriously with Beautriz nodding, but stopped when she realized what he said.

"The Rinnegan can do that?" She asked, clearly surprised as well as a little frightened at the thought.

"Yeah, it's one of the abilities that it can do. I still haven't learned everything about it yet and Kurama only knows so much, so it's been up to me experimenting on it." He told her who nodded at him, but was also very intrigued about the Rinnegan and what else it could be capable of.

"I'd like to learn more about it, but I think we have something more important to worry about." She gestured to their current forms and he nodded, not liking that he was now an ape instead of his human body.

"Yeah, I'm sorry to cut this date short, but you're right this is something we shouldn't ignore." Naruto gave her an apologetic look, though she didn't look upset about it in the slightest and understood how this was important.

They got up from their seats and went somewhere out of prying eyes. Once they were sure no one was around, Fire went to the comlink to her ear.

"Watchtower, two for pickup, this is an emergency." Fire said, but nothing happened and she frowned at the lack of response.

"Nothing I'm guessing?" Naruto asked, though it sounded more like a statement than a question.

"Yeah, no one is answering for some reason." Beautriz said with worry in her tone and Naruto calmed her down with him rubbing her back.

Before either could say anything again, they were suddenly changed back into their original human bodies, making them sigh in relief.

"Oh god, that's much better. That's something I could've done without experiencing in my life." Naruto said in annoyance at which she nodded in agreement.

"Same here, but at least we're back to normal now and that someone must've stopped whatever it was he was planning." beautriz said as they linked arms to go back into where they were at in the first place.

"True, but I'm still going to clobber him the next time I see him and I don't care who says otherwise." Naruto told her who didn't hold it against him and just giggled and kissed his cheek.

"I won't stop you either and I'll help in it too." Beautriz said as Naruto smirked at her with amusement.

"Oh you're so hot right now." Naruto said, making the woman smile and blush a little at the words. He wasn't just giving her a compliment, but was stating facts and being honest. It held more worth coming from him.

"How about we go somewhere else? We're already done, so why don't we pay for our food and then head back to your place?" She asked, getting a raised eyebrow at her question.

"What did you have in mind?" He asked, not sure if he liked the look she was giving him or not.

She didn't say anything, but leaned in closer to him and whispered something that no one could hear if they tried listening on them, but the look on his face would certainly gain attention. He didn't say anything, but he nodded, accepting her suggestion and quickly went to pay for their food before long they had left the building. He was going to thank anyone for giving him amazing girls in his life.

Washington D.C. Restaurant

General Wade Eiling was dining with Amanda Waller in the full restaurant.

"You look well General. The past few months have been good to you." Amanda said to Eiling.

"Mrs Waller, due respect. This assignment is a joke. Never thought I'd be a desk drone."

"I can't help you there. Langley all but scrapped Cadmus and insisted on your transfer. We're lucky we're not all in jail."

"Look, the only mistake we made was trusting Luthor." Eiling said as Amanda took a sip of her drink.

"Wade. You know better than to dwell on the past." She said, but he shook his head at what she was suggesting.

"I'm talking about right now. The Justice League is still the single greatest threat to global security." Wade said, placing his hand on the table with a large frown on his face.

"I used to believe that too. But remember: we used to say the same about the Soviets. Our enemies are never as evil as we imagine... And maybe we're never quite as good." She argued and he was surprised to hear how much she seemed to have changed in the short time.

"Nuts." Wade said lightly slamming his drink on the table. "Don't tell me the bleeding hearts in Congress got to you."

"I'd eat them alive." She smirked thinking as if they have a chance against her.

"You would too. You've got some onions, Amanda."

"Then listen to me. I'm not the League's greatest fan, but their intentions are good. I can work with them." Amanda said as Eiling leaned forward.

"What if you're wrong, though? Turns out the meta-humans aren't on the side of the angels? We won't have any way to defend ourselves. Look what happened last year: Superman walked into Cadmus and tossed our best men like a salad."

"Oh, for heaven's sake." Amanda sighed tiredly.

"What's to stop him from doing it again? They're all orbiting us with a space weapon, supposedly decommissioned. That's a much bigger threat than the Russians ever were. If we'd rolled over like this with the Soviet Union, given up our nukes-"

"We'd all be living under a red flag?" Amanda finished as she took another drink.

"Yes, ma'am, you'd better believe it. After all our work, what did Cadmus accomplish? You get a reprimand, I'm pushing pencils, and the League gets another base here on Earth, that Metro Tower. When one side loses ground and the other side gains, that isn't a truce, it's a surrender!" He yelled.

"It's a different world, General. Learn to live in it." Amanda said before getting up and leaving, an angry general not moving from his seat as he continued to think about the Justice League.

A Few Days Later, the Watchtower

"Ha! The exact second the movie's over, we get a mission. Dang if that ain't lucky." Vigilante said as he and Shining Knight went to the elevator after getting called up to Mr. Terrific.

"I still say this Clint Eastwood dishonored himself when he refused to… What was it? 'Play by the rules'?

"Partner, your medieval upbringing has done left ya' unschooled in the ways of the movin' picture."

"No, his proper duty is to his police captain. I see why they call him 'dirty.' He besmirches his order." Knight said as the doors closed.

"Sir Justin, if you're gonna be watchin' stuff on my big TV with the 5.1 surround sound, you had best watch what you say about Mr. Clint Eastwood." Vigilante said before they got to the top floor.

And saw S.T.R.I.P.E., Star Girl, and Green Arrow standing around Mr. Terrific.

"Half of our resources are in deep space, we're short handed." He said before S.T.R.I.P.E. looked to him.

"Great, I'll take a real assignment over Watchtower duty any day!"

"So, who's left up here with you? The Ray?" Green Arrow asked, arms crossed.

"He's with Vixen. Checking out an explosion and Supergirl and Flash aren't finished in Madagascar."

"You're spreading us a little thin, aren't you?" Arrow asked Mr. Terrific.

"Would you be second guessing the Martian like this?" Mr. Terrific felt a little annoyed at being questioned like this.

"OK. I get it, you're the big picture guy." Arrow relented, raising his hands not meaning to upset him.

"There's just this one mission in Metropolis, you'll be filling in for Superman." He told the group of five who were interested and excited.

"Cool." Stargirl said with a smirk.

Next morning, Metropolis

Naruto groaned as he was waking up and moved to get out of bed, but he found himself unable to for some reason. He looked down to see a mop of red hair could be seen on his chest. He raised a brow in confusion upon seeing her, but remembered how she wanted to see the parade and with him living in the city, they decided to make a date out of it. This led to her staying at his place while she was here which he didn't mind in the slightest. He brushed some hair out of her face as he watched her sleep for a moment before he would go make breakfast for the two of them. He checked the clock on the desk next to the bed and saw it was 7:00 indicating he slept in today since normally he'd be up at 5:30 or 6.

She looked so peaceful and quite beautiful as she was. He didn't really want to move, but they had the parade in a couple hours and if they wanted good seats to see everything close-up, they'd have to get there early before others started showing up. He quickly created a clone and switched places with it to take his place while he left to go get breakfast ready.

After taking a quick shower, he changed into some clothes and walked into the kitchen as he was deciding what to make for them. It didn't take him long to make up his mind as he quickly got to work on it. About half an hour later, he heard footsteps coming towards him, he looked up to see it was Barbara who was rubbing her eyes, trying to get the sleep out of them. She was wearing one of his shirts that was rather big on her and had some very short shorts that only reached her thighs. They looked cute on her though as it showed her athletic body that had a firm and toned look to it from years of training with Batman in martial arts.

"Hmm, that smells good." Barbara sighed with content at the food in front of her.

"Go ahead and pick a seat, I'll have the food done in a moment." Naruto said and she nodded and moved to the table and sat down. She had a plate already there along with utensils for her to use.

It wasn't long before the food was all set on the table and she saw all what he had cooked. She hadn't been expecting this or this much, but than again, Naruto likes to cook and can eat a lot when he's hungry, so she shouldn't be that surprised. He had made some pancakes that had blueberries and some others were chocolate chip, than there was also some bacon, sausages, some toast as a side, and lastly to finish everything off, he had some orange juice for them to enjoy as well.

"You didn't have to make this much. I would've been fine with something simple." Barbara said to him, but it didn't stop her from eating any of it.

"We don't get a lot of time to spend like this, so I thought I'd make something more than simple for a change." Naruto wasn't prepared when she reached over and kissed his cheek making him blush at the action, but didn't mind it.

"Thanks, Whiskers. This is going to be good, I'm sure of it." Barbara said as they began eating, much to her delight and astonishment at how good it was. "What time does the parade start again?" She asked.

"10:00, so that gives us two hours to get there if we want good spots to watch it from." Naruto told her as he took a sip of orange juice.

"That's plenty of time for me to get ready. We'll get there before it gets too crowded to see it. I'm not like other girls that take an hour to get ready for things, so we have some time before we need to be there." Barbara said with him humming knowing it was true and gave her a look at what she was getting at with the grin she was giving him was making him excited and a little nervous.

"Alright than." Naruto said as in the next few minutes they ate with Naruto finishing his a little quicker and with Barbara not far behind.

They cleaned the dishes and everything that was used to make breakfast. Once they were done she led him over to his bedroom with Naruto not fighting it in the slightest, but was grinning the whole time.

"Let's have some fun handsome~" She purred sensually as she dragged him while also swaying her hips for him to view for his pleasure.

"I might die, but what a way to go." He thought to himself, ignoring Kurama's laughing at his predicament.

Three Hours Later, Metropolis City

People filled the sidewalks as a parade for the City's heroes was going on, the seven Leaguers were on a parade float with firemen, E.M.T.'s and police on it as well, minus Knight and Vigilante who were on a motorcycle and Pegasus riding beside the float.

The waved as a life-like balloon for Superman were pulled in front of them.

"I'd slay the ogre Blunderbore all over again rather than put myself on display in this manner. Even though that ogre turned out to be-" Shining Knight said as the others interrupted him.

"Morgaine le Fey." They all said at the same time with deadpans on their faces.

"We've all heard it." S.T.R.I.P.E. said after everyone stopped.

"...'Tis a good story." The Shining Knight said with a small pout at their words.

"So, what? Since we don't have superpowers it takes seven of us to replace one Superman?" Stargirl said beside Green Arrow while they waved.

A police officer walked down to them from the higher platform. "Excuse me. I just want to thank you Justice League guys for turning out in force. It means a lot to us."

"Hey, we can't thank you enough. You're the real heroes." Green Arrow said, shaking his hand.

"It's you, the people who come to honor." Shining Knight picked up after Arrow.

"Great. Now I'm petty." Stargirl said with a sigh.

"See where it says 'Heroes one and all'? That's what it's all about. The crowd doesn't care who can bench press a mountain, or shoot lasers out of their ears." Green Arrow said as he pointed at the banner behind them.

Naruto and Barbara were in the front with Barbara, her arm wrapped around his as he smiled at the heroes that were here. He figured Clark couldn't be here, but that didn't matter to him, they were stepping up to do this for him.

They did frown when they started hearing people making negative comments about the ones that were here though and were disappointed that Superman wasn't here for this.

"Jerks, they're being here for him when he can't be and this is how some of these people are thanking them?" Barbara whispered with a frown at the people that were talking.

"It's not fair to them that they're here and getting heat from them. They didn't have to be here for this, but they still chose to come anyway." Naruto said to her as she nodded in agreement with him.

"Where's Superman?"

"How come none of the good ones are here?"

"I didn't come here to see some stupid cowboy."

"I don't think Vigilante's a good role model, especially ones with a gun."

"I came to see Superman."

They continued hearing such questions and he couldn't believe how they were acting and most wouldn't be able to tell, but Naruto could see some slight twitching and flinching coming from the mentioned heroes and it was upsetting how vain they were being. He got an idea and grinned. Barbara saw his grin and wondered what he was up to. He cleared his throat for what he was going to say.

"So what if Superman isn't here? Any hero that is standing up there does good in the world in keeping everyone safe and you are all talking crap about them?! They risk their lives everyday in protecting this planet and it doesn't matter if they have powers or not, they still fight to keep us safe. If you can't see that makes them heroes then that's disappointing to hear. They didn't have to be here in his place, but they are here and showing spirit despite what you're all saying about them. You should think about that next time you want to question any hero or who they are." Naruto's voice rang out for those around to hear them and even those in the parade. He focused chakra into his vocal cords, so everyone could hear his words.

The five heroes heard what he said and looked at where the source was coming from and saw it was Naruto, though Green Arrow already knew recognizing his voice. They each gave him thanks of gratitude for what he said to the as despite not showing it, they were somewhat hurt by what they were hearing from the people. Green Arrow though was grinning at the blonde Jinchuriki the whole time and was proud of sticking up for them and his beliefs and how petty they were being.

"Anybody know that cute guy?" Star Girl asked them regarding the cute blonde that shut the people up.

"His name's Naruto and he's a friend to the league." Green Arrow said as they looked at the archer who apparently knew him.

"I'm just glad that someone appreciates us being here. Those comments were annoying me a lot." Star Girl said as she crossed her arms over her chest with a frown, but quickly changed to a smile as she continued waving to the crowd.

"He knows that we work hard to keep everyone safe and isn't ignorant with how much work we do. He appreciates us and everything that we do." Green Arrow said, getting smiles from everyone who nodded in gratitude for the blonde's support, even though they had no idea that he was a former hero.

Naruto looked towards the five heroes that gave him gratified looks and waves responded with his own smile as Barbara who was still hanging off his arm gave him a proud smirk at what he said.

Before anything else could happen, Naruto tensed and looked in a direction. Barbara felt him stiffen and saw him looking in a certain direction drawing her curiosity.

"What is it?" She asked her boyfriend who frowned.

"Something's coming this way and quite fast I might add." Naruto told her and she held his arm tighter.

A figure could be seen appearing from the sky and as it got closer, he was starting to see just what exactly it was, but before he could comment on it, it landed and went straight through the Superman balloon figure, popping it instantly.

The smoke cleared revealing a monstrous man with grey skin and fangs.

"FREEZE!"

He looked to see the police and Leaguers aim their guns, bow, staff and kunai at him

"Where's Superman?" He asked in Eiling's voice revealing he's General Eiling.

"Busy. Can I help you?" Green Arrow asked, drawing his bow back.

"Yeah. Hold this for me!" Eiling yelled as he hurls a cart at Arrow.

Stargirl flew over and tried to grab the cart with her staff.

"OOF!"

Only to get hit by the cart herself.

"Open fire!" One policeman yelled out as everyone did that.

"Go ahead and pour it on boys, I can take it." Eiling said with an arrogant tone as he took the bullets and arrows without worry.

As they had his attention, Barbara and Naruto were busy getting everyone to safety, keeping them calm while they escorted them out.

"This way, come on, stay calm and you'll get out of this safely." Naruto said to the group he was escorting, hoping to keep them calm and not hurt themselves.

"My son, I don't see my son!" A woman shouted, getting Naruto's attention. He walked to the worrying mother who was looking around for her son. She had black hair

"What does he look like, I'll go back and get him?" Naruto asked, getting her attention as she was relieved that someone was going to help her out.

"Thank you, thank you. He's wearing a red shirt, black pants, and has black hair and black eyes. He was with four other boys that are his age." The mother described her son who was on the verge of tears.

Once he saw tears were on the edge of her eyes, he knew he had to find him since he could never so no when a mother cried like this. He nodded to her and directed her towards Barbara before he ran to go find him. Before he left though, he looked at her and she nodded, already knowing what he was intending on doing and smirked at him. He sprinted off at fast speeds, almost looking like he vanished.

Shining Knight flew down, slashing cars that came from the smoke before one hit stands behind him, having it fall on several cars.

He flew to the cars as Vigilante had a group of kids help get everyone away. Knight cuts the wood off the cars as Omniman ran over to Eiling who had S.T.R.I.P.E. in his hand.

"I'm going to show the world the Justice League aren't the only ones with superpowers. That there's someone who can stop you. I'm here to protect them!" Eiling said before he grabbed Omniman with his other hand just as S.T.R.I.P.E. flew in the air.

CRACK!

Eiling jumped up and hit S.T.R.I.P.E. as he flew down, creaking a shock wave that shattered the windows in the surrounding buildings. Green Arrow called for backup as he looked to see Eiling pound S.T.R.I.P.E. into a crater, tearing his suit in the process.

A wrecking ball hit him as one of the kids was in the controls before Eiling jumped over and pushed it down.

"Eiling don't!" He pleaded with the general, but ignored him. S.T.R.I.P.E. flew over and tackled him before he just punched them away. The kid fell out as Vigilante jumped up on his bike and caught him.

They landed before Vigilante dropped the boy off and drove to Eiling. He then jumped off his motorcycle and shot it just as it got to Eiling.

Boom!

Naruto appeared just afterwards and saw the group of kids who were escorting some civilians that hadn't gotten away yet. He sighed in relief in being able to find him after looking for a while.

"Hey kids, let's get you and everyone else out of here, you're parents are looking for you, so follow me and stay close!" Naruto said a little louder to make sure they all heard him. He led them out of the area carefully while making sure to avoid any potential spots that didn't look so stable.

After a couple minutes of him navigating them, they saw others that were already out and they took off to their parents, friends, or family that they were with. Barbara saw him with the group and ran towards him and when he was close enough, she jumped into his arms.

"You're alright, thank god! I wasn't sure if something was going to happen to you or not and it had me worried." She visibly relaxed in his arms and than looked into his eyes. "You need to go help them, they need your help." She said, getting him to tense briefly before relaxing his body and nodded.

"I know." He said.

She unwrapped her arms around him and took a couple steps back with a grin on her face.

"Go show everyone what Naruto Uzumaki can do. Be the hero that they need you to be." He gave her a foxlike grin and disappeared in a lightning flash.

On the other side where the fight was going on, things weren't going very well for the heroes as Eiling had been beating them with little difficulty.

BOOM!

Stargirl flew over and had her energy wrap around Eiling's neck. "We're taking this someplace else. Haven't you ever heard of innocent bystanders?" She asked flying away.

"You ever hear of acceptable losses? You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. This country is halfway down the toilet because of you super-powered types."

"For the record, I don't have powers, potty mouth. It's the staff!"

Eiling pulled her to him and slammed Stargirl into the ground. "In that case miss, you're just another egg."

"Face villain!" Shining Knight yelled flying towards Eiling. "Have you no shame?!" He then jumped off his horse and sliced Eiling's arm.

"AAH!" Eiling screamed before throwing Night away to the Daily Bugle building.

"You hit 'im high, I'll hit 'im low!" Vigilante said spinning hos revolvers as Green Arrow notched an arrow and drew it back.

"Whatever!"

They shot Eiling several time before Eiling slammed his foot down and had the ground split, sending Vigilante to a car.

Suddenly, Green Arrow smiled as he looked to Eiling as a beam was shot down in between them.

"You wanted Superman? Now you've got-!"

He stopped as the Crimson Avenger and a young man was teleported down.

He has short red hair and is wearing a sleeveless red shirt with a red 'S' inside a black, yellow trimmed circle on the left chest. He also has red fingerless gloves that wen to his elbows, a yellow quiver that looked like Green Arrows, bow and boots with black pants.

This is Speedy, the ex-sidekick of Green Arrow.

"The Crimson Avenger and my ex-sidekick." He said as Speedy glanced over his shoulder.

"Ex-partner."

"Speedy, we gotta do this now?"

"Ooh, now I'm scared." Eiling said in mock fear.

The Crimson Avenger took out a pistol with two barrels and shot green gas at Eiling who coughed.

"RAH!"

CLAP!

He clapped his hands, sending the gas, and Avenger flying away.

"Ollie, how many guys has this doofus taken out?" Speedy asked Arrow.

"That would be all of them."

"You spoiled, rich little twerp!" Eiling said walking towards the two archers who shot arrow at him.

"I think he means me." Arrow said as he and Speedy fired all but one arrow each at Eiling.

"Oh. For a second, I was all mad."

"You still got your quantum arrow?" Green Arrow asked having Speedy look to him.

"Yeah, but you said..."

"This is an emergency!"

They both shot an arrow that then was connected with an energy tether and wrapped around Eiling several times before each glowing end hit on the last wrap.

BOOM!

They blew up sending both archers tumbling back.

"We are so dead." Speedy said as Eiling walked out of the smoke unharmed.

"Could be." Green Arrow followed after his ex-partner.

They ran to attack with their bows. Eiling slammed the archers to the ground before throwing them into cars.

"Superman, you coward! All your men are down, and you won't even show your face!" Eiling said before hearing Shining Knight walk up to him through the smoke.

"He cannot hear even your bellowing, monster. As we speak, Superman rescues an entire star system a universe away. Do your worst, I'll not let you harm another."

"I do what I do in service to my country." Eiling said as they circled each other.

"Once, at the word of my lord King Arthur, I was ordered to lay waste to an entire village. I knew my king's heart could not be so unjust, so I spared them all." Shining Knight said as Eiling snorted at that.

"Then you're a lousy soldier." Eiling said as he punched Shining Knight in the jaw.

Shining Knight rubbed his jaw and glared at the General. "There it is… The creeping moral decay of the past thousand years." Shining Knight then swings his sword at Eiling, who dodges easily. "Arthur thanked me, oaf! Had I been wrong, I would have handed over my sword and left the court in shame!" Knight yelled before Eiling slams him into the ground.

"Save yourself a hospital stay and stand down. That magic armor won't help you."

Shining Knight slowly got up as his armor was torn. "Have at thee!" Shining Knight tries to punch Eiling, but is slammed into the ground again.

"You're a relic. In this world, power is the only thing that matters. You and those other no-name heroes, you're just people. In the great scheme of things, nothing you do has the least bit of significance."

Shining Knight rose again, but Eiling punched him again. "I'll waste you and a billion like you before you before I allow any power to rival America's. It's my duty." He goes for another punch, but is suddenly launched several feet away from the down hero. The general rubbed his jaw and looked up to see an unknown person he'd never seen before. He had blonde hair that had a spikiness to it, blue eyes, and strange whisker marks on his cheeks.

"You're duty or is it your fear of not having control like you want?" Naruto folded his arms as he stood in front of Shining Knight protectively who was being helped up by a shadow clone before taking off with him, leaving Naruto and the general. The general scoffed in dismissal of this no name, thinking that he got a lucky hit on him.

"Superman and the Justice League are a threat to a safe and stable world. They are the reason this world is halfway down to being destroyed. If you are with them, then you're against the government." Eiling said as Naruto didn't react to his words, but he did roll his eyes at the man. He'd heard all about him and how against the Justice League he is and any metahuman for that matter. He's a serious racist that can't stand anyone that isn't a normal human, so basically if you have powers, you're on his shit list.

Now it was Naruto's turn to scoff at how ridiculous the man is being and how insane he is since he's not even a "normal" human anymore. The man is a huge hypocrite and is someone that would rather see the world be blown up rather than accept the metahumans. He hated people like this as it especially reminded him of the villagers in Konoha, he would've fit right in with them.

"You really are a fool to think that, it's people like you that end up destroying everything when they hate anything that isn't like them. And the government or is it you?" He asked with a smirk when he saw him twitch at the insult.

Eiling jumped at him with a roar, his fingers interlocking, bringing his hands together, he slammed at where Naruto was standing who made no indication to move or dodge the predictable attack. As he made contact, dust flew in the area, making it hard for those that were still nearby not able to see what happened.

When he lifted his arms, he expected to see a downed blonde like a pancake, but he was shocked to not see him there, but a few feet away and unharmed. This time, Naruto made the next move and blurred in front of him and kneed him in the stomach, but he wasn't done yet and uppercutted him in the jaw sending him upward into the sky.

Naruto appeared above him and brought his right leg down, connecting his heel with his face, sending the disfigured general back to the ground and creating a crater from the impact.

Naruto flew back to the ground, not taking his eyes off where he sent the general. He waited for him to do something and he didn't have to wait long as he jumped out of the crater and landed with a large thud.

"You little twerp, you're a metahuman too like others! You are a danger to the world and I won't let a snot nosed brat become a threat." Eiling said, disgust in his voice as he moved to engage the Jinchuuriki again.

Naruto met him halfway in their charge with Eiling throwing a wild wide punch, but it was blocked effortlessly by Naruto's arm.

"Sloppy." Naruto said as he blocked another punch from the disfigured general. The general threw some more punches, but was blocked without issue. The general sent another punch, but this time he caught his fist. He pulled him forward and with his other hand grabbed onto his arm and threw him over his shoulder as he hit a lightpost, breaking it and slamming into the ground.

He did a quick series of hand signs that looked like a blur to everyone that saw this and Green Arrow whistled when he saw what he did next.

"Doton: Ganchūrō no Jutsu (Earth Release: Rock Pillar Prison Technique)" He said, getting confused looks from the heroes that had woken up as multiple pillars shot up from the ground trapping the once man. He sighed in relief at the successful capture, but it was short lived as the pillars shook before exploding causing him to cover his eyes from the remains scattering and so he didn't see the large man swinging one of the pillars at him and connecting it with his abdomen, sending him away.

"You're more dangerous than the others here and so it is my duty to put you down." Eiling told the blonde who snorted at his words.

He managed to catch himself, but he continued to skid until he came to a stop and twitched in annoyance. He went back in again, but this time he was going to make sure he was unconscious when he tried to trap him again.

"And yet, you are the one causing problems here. You're not doing this as a soldier or even for your country. Tell me, how does it feel to not be in control of people stronger than you? I bet it bites you so much that you'd be willing to throw everything to hell just to have us under your thumb.

Eiling growled and roared in anger as he swung his fist to hit him, but he was missing as Naruto was weaving around his strikes like they were nothing, which was frustrating the general since he could've sworn that he was moving faster than before and it was gnawing at him. It didn't help that he had a look of boredom on his face and that was what ticked him off.

"What do you know of duty or how I feel?! You superpowered beings are freaks of nature that should just be put down. It's up to us to protect our home and if you can't let us control you, then you're a loose cannon and a threat." Eiling sneered at the former shinobi.

"Wow, you're more pathetic than I thought and a hypocrite." He shook his head at the crazed man in front of him.

He flipped backwards from a kick and unsealed two kunai and channeled wind chakra into them. The weapons gained a distinct color to them as they were enveloped in the element.

"Fūton: Shinkūjin (Wind Style: Vacuum Blade)"

He reappeared in front of the general and with his two kunai did several quick slices and in the next instant, the general was on the ground in agonizing pain when several cuts appeared all over his body forcing him to fall on the front of his body. He quickly sealed them away and ran up to the man who was trying to stand up, but was knocked unconscious to the back of the head courtesy of Naruto.

He knew he had to do something or else someone else could get hurt that's innocent. But the question was, what should he do? Clearly he got this power and form from a lab. A thought came to mind and decided to put it to the test. He activated his Rinnegan and grabbed his head with his right hand and channeled the human path.

The general knew nothing, but pain as he screamed and shouted as he felt something getting pulled from him. He didn't know what it was, but he couldn't think as his body was in immense pain from whatever the brat was doing to him.

Green Arrow, who was hanging off Vigilante, was looking on at the scene, wondering what his friend was doing to the general. He didn't know what he was doing, but it looked and sounded painful from what the general was going through.

"Partner, ya know what he's doing?" Vigilante asked with a confused expression, though he couldn't tell because of the red bandana over the bottom half of his face.

"No clue. This is the first time, I'm seeing anything like this, but whatever is going on, it's affecting the general's body, look." The archer said as they noticed his body was shrinking from the large body that he had and was now returning to normal.

It wasn't long before he removed his hand and a yellow orb could be seen in the shinobi's hand and he looked at the General who was passed out from exhaustion and pain. He looked at the orb with disgust since this was whatever was in the general's body. He crushed the orb as it shattered into yellow light until there was nothing left.

"What did you do?" Green Arrow asked his friend as they got to him in confusion.

"I used the Rinnegan to separate whatever it was that he had in his body from him. Basically, I used one of it's powers that would normally be used to remove souls from a person, but I didn't want to do that and so I had to search for whatever the man had used on himself since it wasn't natural in the slightest." Green Arrow felt his face turn pale at the thought of having his soul taken from him like that and Vigilante wasn't faring much better at that revelation.

"Well, he's still alive, so that's good. After the stunt he pulled, he's going to be heading to prison for a long time for this." Vigilante said as they nodded.

Half Hour Later, Metropolis

The E.M.T.'s tend to the wounded heroes as Crimson Avenger hands Stargirl her staff as she was taken away in an Ambulance. The cops were taking Eiling into custody who was fighting them and glaring angrily at Naruto for stopping him and taking his powers away.

"Don't you worry Sir Justin. These 21st Century Docs. Will have you up on you feet before you know it." Vigilante said as Knight was wheeled to an Ambulance.

"Hold." He said as he saw Naruto who was checking on everyone who stood up for him. "I have yet to thank you."

"No need to thank me. You were a hero that did what was right in stopping him, I merely lent a hand." He said before Shining Knight was taken to the Ambulance as the kids near them pretended to be each hero who was at the parade.

Batgirl walked up to him and hugged him now that everything was done.

"I'm glad that everyone is safe and that there were no casualties. How did the general even become the form and power he gained?" She asked as Green Arrow heard the question and approached them.

"I can tell you that, while I was separating him from his source of power, I was able to peek into his recent memories and it was thanks to something from Cadmus, though he was the sole person involved in this." Naruto answered her as she frowned, but nodded while Green Arrow looked surprised.

"Cadmus again huh? That group seems to have more than what we thought, but if the general was the only one responsible then we can't really blame the whole organization." Green Arrow said with them nodding in agreement. "However, this'll still need to be reported to the league council." He smirked in amusement as his reaction seeing his twitch.

"I don't think that's necessary, you were here man, you got this." He was ready to leave with Barbara using the Hiraishin, but before they could leave, she gave him a stern look that made him chuckled nervously.

"Just go, it won't hurt to be there yourself." Barbara rolled her eyes at him.

"Not only that, but this is the fourth time that you've helped out with the league in something. I don't think you're quite done being the hero like you say you are." Green Arrow smirked at seeing him twitch again, knowing that he was right.

"I think it's time that you've moved on from this and rejoin the league if you're going to keep getting involved like this." Batgirl told him, but he looked hesitant.

"At least think about it for a couple days rather than just say no." Green Arrow suggested and got a sigh from him and nodded.

"Alright, I'll have my answer in two days, but keep this between us until then, please?" Naruto gave them a look that almost looked like begging. They agreed and Naruto gave him one of his tri-pronged kunai and explained what it does and what to do with it in two days. He accepted the weapon as Naruto and Barbara left since they still had the rest of the day for their date that had been somewhat ruined thanks to the general, but they could enjoy the rest of it without incident.

Two Days Later, Naruto's apartment in Metropolis

Naruto was in his living room reading a book while he waited to be summoned. He had told Oliver not to tell the original members about it. He agreed instantly and was looking forward to seeing their surprised faces. The green archer knew what his answer was going to be already having texted him what he wanted. Now he was just waiting for the archer to use the kunai to get his attention. No one, but him knew as he wanted to keep it a surprise from everyone including Mari, Kara, Beautriz, Tora, and Barbara even if he would get scolded about not telling them about it, but oh well.

Luckily it didn't take long when he got the feeling that it was time and in the next instant he was gone in a flash of yellow leaving the room and apartment completely empty.

Watchtower

In a flash of yellow Naruto appeared and he looked around to see Oliver in his Green Arrow outfit and he wasn't alone either. He saw that Dinah was with him and she was surprised by her slightly widened eyes. Guess he really didn't tell anyone.

"What's going on? Not that I'm happy to see you, but what are you doing here?" Dinah asked with a tilt of her head in curiosity.

"I have an announcement and I need to speak with Wonder Woman and the other founders." He said, getting a questioning look from the blonde woman who looked at her boyfriend for answers.

"They're in the meeting room, at least some of them are, unfortunately Batman and Flash are busy with missions and J'onn is still gone, so not everyone will be there." Green Arrow said with a smirk.

Naruto gave him a nod of thanks and left to go find them and give them news. Dinah being confused on what was going on as she watched her fellow blonde walk off, but he seemed different this time. He looked confident and so sure of himself compared how he had been in the past.

"Okay, what's going on, Ollie?" She asked him, narrowing her eyes at the archer who chuckled nervously.

"He decided to move on and to stop hiding from everything. He's finally ready to move on now and to come back." Green Arrow told the female hero who was confused for a moment until her eyes widened at what he was getting at and had a small smile appear on her face.

While she got excited at what she was just being told, Naruto was standing in front of the room where he knew his family was. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door and waited to come in. He heard some muffling on the other side when he got a clear "come in" from what he could tell was Superman.

When he walked into the room, he could see that like Green Arrow told him, mostly all of the founding members were present. He could see Superman, John, Hawkgirl, Wonder Woman, and Supergirl who had just finished a meeting or were waiting for him since it looked like they had been expecting him.

"Hey Naruto, how are you?" Superman asked with a smile as he rubbed his head with a chuckle.

"I'm doing good." He smiled at them with a nod to reassure them he meant it.

"We heard how you stopped Eiling at the Metropolis parade and from what Green Arrow told us, it was impressive with how you handled him." Superman said with a smile in gratitude for his efforts.

"It was nothing." He was blushing a little from the praise and could've sworn he saw Hawkgirl smirking at him making his eye twitch.

"Regardless, we want to thank you for your assistance in the matter." Wonder Woman gave him a proud look that made him even more embarrassed at all the praises he was getting.

"But that's not why we're here right now. We were told you had something to tell us and it required all of us to be here. So, what is it?" John asked, getting to the bottom of things, but was curious to what the young man wanted to tell them that would require nearly everyone's attention.

"Yes. Well, over the past couple of months, I haven't been able to quite keep to myself and getting myself involved with things involving the league and after the parade incident," If he had looked up, he would've seen their surprised, yet happy expressions at what he was getting at. "So, after thinking the last couple of days on G.A.'s offer and talking to Batgirl and Kurama about it. Is it too late for me to come back and to be a member again?" He asked quietly and nervously as they could see with his slight fidgeting.

Supergirl was the first one to get out of her stupor and flew to her boyfriend and hugged him quite tightly as could be heard when he swore he felt some of his bones cracking. This snapped the others out of their stupors and approached their soon to be returning member with smiles or grins on their faces, though G.L. was more subdued than the others, but he was proud nonetheless.

"We had been thinking that you wouldn't be coming back with how the last time we spoke months ago, but we're glad you're wanting to come back." Wonder Woman couldn't be any happier and prouder than she was right now of hearing this.

"It has been a slow going process, but I have been getting help talking to friends and… I hate to say it, but seeing a therapist and I knew that Black Canary was one, so she's been helping me." He looked down at the admittance of needing help like this.

He felt a hand on his shoulders and looked up to see John and Superman each showing concern and yet proud looks at him.

"There's no shame in admitting you need help." Superman said.

"And it shows your willing to put aside your pride and go see someone about it. You're smarter than most people in that regard." John said as Naruto nodded and as the two guys let go, he had to brace himself when Shayera pulled his head into her chest as she started giving him a noogie.

"It's about damn time if you ask me." Hawkgirl grinned in amusement as he tried to get out of her hold and felt his cheeks flush even more upon feeling her chest. He gave a glance to John made him sigh.

"Shayera, let him go, he looks like he's about to pass out." He said, and she looked down to see his face turning from red to blue and so he him go and he gasped.

"AIR OH HOW I MISSED YOU!" Naruto shouted as they giggled, smirked, or laughed at his exclamation.

"Well, with you returning, are you going to be retaking your old hero name and outfit?" Supergirl asked and no one was surprised when he shook his head.

"No, I'm essentially starting over and with this new start for me in the league, a new name will help me move on." Naruto said with them agreeing.

"Then what will be your new hero name?" Wonder Woman asked rather curious about what he would say.

"I was thinking Rikkudo Sennin or in english it would be-"

"Sage of Six Paths." Supergirl finished for him and they had to admit it was an intriguing name. "I like it, Rikkudo Sennin sounds cool." She said, liking the name as did the others.

"Well then, with that being said, welcome back to the league, Kyuubi than, now Rikkudo Sennin." Superman said as they shook hands. Naruto wondered how he would do with coming back to being a hero and how things would go for him.
