Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey Sokeefe people!

So these next few scenes might be a little short, all these scene requests are beginning to be a hassle to keep up! That doesn't mean I won't write them, I love all of your ideas and I hope you still give them! I just want to warn you that it might take a while to get them out :)

Anyway, this scene was requested by Guest…I know you wanted this to be a long one but I need a mental day after all those 2,000 word scenes….I hope you understand :)

BTW sorry it starts out a little Fitzphie…

I hope you like it! :) 0_0 =)

Sophie was in disbelief.

When Biana called her on her imparter, at first she thought that it was a joke.

But it was true…

Fitz was gone.

He left without telling anyone where he was going, and from the way Biana told her to come to Everglen, it was like Biana thought he wasn't coming back.

Sophie honestly couldn't imagine a world without Fitz…and she didn't want to. She couldn't believe that he'd leave just after apologizing to her for the things he said while Alden's mind was broken. Maybe he apologized because he didn't want to feel guilty that he'd left on bad terms with her…

Sophie still remembered his kind words, and apologetic teal eyes when he said it.

"Sophie?"

"Hugh?" Sophie glanced up to see all her friends looking at her.

"We were asking if you could try contacting him with your telepathy." Dex said.

"Yeah. Yeah, okay." Sophie said and closed her eyes. She stretched her consciousness as far as she could and tried to feel for Fitz.

Fitz! She transmitted.

Fitz!

Fitz!

Fi-

Hey Sophie… Fitz transmitted back filing Sophie's mind with his friendly voice.

Oh, Fitz! Everyone's been so worried about you!

They were?

Yeah…why wouldn't we be? You mean a lot to us Fitz… why did you leave? Sophie replied.

I don't know. I needed some time to think about…stuff…

Sophie knew better than to ask what that "stuff" was.

Are you coming back? Sohpie asked tentatively.

I…Don't know. Fitz's mental voice said.

Sophie sighed and opened her eyes. She immediately saw Biana looking at her, her face full of hope. If anyone could get him to come back, it would be Biana.

"Biana, do you want to try talking some sense into Fitz?" Sophie asked.

Biana nodded and walked toward Sophie. Sophie reached for her temples and connected her mind to her own.

Fitz? Biana said. Her voice was quieter than her and Fitz's, since she wasn't a telepath, but her voice was still strong and commanding. Fitz why did you do it?

Biana? I-how…ugh…Sophie! Fitz said in irritation. He knew he couldn't ignore his sister.

Sorry, but you need to come back, and you'll only listen to your sister at this point. Sophie said.

Fitz Avery Vacker, where are you?! Biana yelled in a voice that matched the volume of Silveny's transmissions.

I just…needed to figure a few things out. Fitz explained again.

What do you need to figure out that you can't figure out here? Biana said.

Fitz's mind got quiet.

For a good while they were all silent, making Sophie think that Fitz severed the connection with her.

But then Biana said, You're coming back…right?

Some more silence greeted her.

Then…

I promise.

And he severed the connection.

Later that day Sophie sat in her bed thinking about what Fitz said.

He said he promised that he'd come back, but he didn't say when…

Sophie placed her head in her hands and sighed. What could I possibly have done to make him run away like he did….

"It's not your fault." Sophie heard a voice say.

Sophie looked up to see Keefe in the doorway of her room. She smiled sadly and patted the spot on her bed beside her.

He walked over and took a seat. "You do know that right?"

"I'm not so sure…I thought we'd made up after he apologized to me about his dad but…" Sophie couldn't stop her eyes from turning misty.

Keefe reached for her hand and squeezed it reassuringly.

Sophie looked up at him and smiled slightly.

"He'll be back," Keefe said. "It's just a matter of time…"

Sophie sighed again and leaned her head on Keefe's shoulder.

He seemed as surprised as she was at this gesture, but she was too exhausted and weary to pull away…

Keefe laid his head on her's and they just sat there, in each other's comfort, until Sophie was strong enough to move on.
