The remastered, as well as canon, version of the first volume of Team SHDW! Because if I knew then what I know now, the story would've turned out like this. Plus, I like to think my writing skills have improved since then, so why not? Join Skyler, Hazel, Dante, and Walker as they go to Beacon Academy and... well, you know the rest. 19. Indefinite Hiatus Announcement

Hello everyone, this is TyForestWrites, and, as you can see from the title, I bring a bit of unfortunate news. As of now, Team SHDW is going on indefinite hiatus. I know I've ghosted you all for quite a while concerning this series, but I felt it had to be done in an official capacity. Allow me to go over the reasons for this.

One reason is just plain and simple apathy. I guess that's the problem with continuing on with writing fanfiction on a series you actively dislike. Eventually, that spite that fueled me completely burned out, and any passion I had to improve upon the source material has almost completely dried up. It sucks, because I had so many plans with this series that I wanted to get to as soon as possible.

Now for the second reason. I know I joked about it at the beginning of this most recent chapter, but around late February of last year, I finally got into the mood to start writing for this book again! ...And then Rooster Teeth announced that it was getting shut down not even a week later, and with it, my mood to continue on. I know it's been brought back recently through the money of Burnie Burns himself, but frankly, it should've just stayed dead. Who knows what they do next, but its revival has not brought any good mood back.

And finally... I'm just tired, man. In between work, my YouTube channel, other anime I'm watching, and a plethora of personal issues... There's just no more room in my heart right now for anything RWBY related. Life being life.

The only reason I got that most recent chapter out is because all of you who stuck with me for this long deserve something better than just an indefinite hiatus announcement.

But there's that duo of words: indefinite hiatus. Because I put so much work and forethought into the future of Team SHDW, it just doesn't feel right to outright cancel it and can all of that work. Maybe one day I'll come back to this, but it won't be anytime soon. So this series is on hiatus until further notice.
