"He's coming. Brace yourself." Kiyotaka said before slapping Decay across her back. This caught the latter off guard as she let out a gasp of surprise. But before she could speak out any of her complaints 'he' was here.
'WHOOOOSH!' In the span of less than a second the so-called world's greatest superhero, Homelander closed the distance between his enemy Kiyotaka Ayanokoji! He was just on the ground less than a moment prior to seeing both him and Decay in the sky! And now he was here with them to get revenge for invading his domain! Except, Homelander couldn't care less about the appearance of the new challenger on the game board. She appeared to be just some woman. She didn't look all that strong. And even if she was, that didn't matter. His enemy was all that he was concerned about. And as for his enemy…
… HE MUST BE ABSOLUTELY ANNHILATED AT ALL COSTS!
"Enough games. I'm going to KILL you!" Homelander declared while gripping Kiyotaka's throat with enough force to shatter it to pieces. But he didn't use his full strength. No. He was about to put him through something much worse. Homelander than took a look at some nearby buildings below him, assembled in such a way that they appeared one after another in a straight line. He then sadistically grinned ear to ear knowing full well what he was about to do next. And without wasting another second-
'WHOOOOSH!' Homelander pulled Ayanokoji by the throat as he flew towards those buildings and in the process of doing so breaking the clouds beside him pieces! It all happened so fast that Decay couldn't react in enough time to do a single thing. Furthermore, the amount of wind pressure that the red blue and gold superhero made by flying throughout the sky almost knocked her off her feet! It was as if Homelander created mini tornados by just moving through the sky! She just barely maintained her footing on the Winged Nomu. But even though a fall from how high up she was would kill her for sure, she merely laughed.
"Wow. That's wicked fast. He puts Yosuke to shame." Decay muttered to herself with a devious grin on her face while sticking out her tongue. But since the wind almost blew her off the Winged Nomu, her hair was all messed up and covering her eyes. She couldn't simply let her bangs block her sight. Not when she had a front row seat to seeing two pricks fight each other to the death. That's why she had no choice but to give herself a bit of a haircut. And in the process of doing so she got rid of the excessive bangs covering her face.
"Sorry Kei. But I can see so much better now. So, I guess I'm not really sorry, you know. Now what will you do next, Mr. Hero-San?" Decay muttered to herself once more while overlooking the city below her. But before she could pinpoint where Kiyotaka and Homelander had made their way too-
'BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!' Multiple buildings were destroyed in less than a nanosecond! It was so quick that it made Decay unintentionally gulp down her spit. Not to mention the devastation that was caused in the wake of the attack. It was all so much. Just how strong was this superhero? From the looks of it he's even putting Deku to shame. If Deku were here fighting, then would he be dead? Not that Decay would let that happen. If that Mr. Hero-San, were to even look at Deku funny…
… Then I would DECAY him till there's nothing left of him! Just thinking about it made Decay's eyes go bloodshot. But she quickly regained her cool. She had no clue where Deku was. Considering that she had been 'asleep' since the night of the attack on the ANHS students in the forest. Even still, she had no doubt Deku was still alive. Because if he wasn't then this whole world might just have to go bye~bye. For now, there was bigger fish to fry so they say. And Mr. Hero-San just might be the biggest fish on this planet. He's going to die by these hands of mine. That's for sure. But then…
"Ah… seriously? Is this destruction upsetting you? Or is it the fact that you lost a bit of your precious hair? Either way you're such a crybaby Kei. So, just shut up and watch. You are getting a front row seat to the opening act of the end of the world!" Decay declared while pointing her index finger at the devastation before her eyes. And since the Winged Nomu couldn't understand words, there was nothing to be said amongst them. That's why she pointed in the direction of where her enemy was. And that's all the Nomu needed to hear to know what to do next. Soon they would reach their enemy and their Master. And as for them-
'… Bam!' Homelander stood triumphantly over Kiyotaka Ayanokoji as he laid slumped on the ground with a plethora of external and internal injuries. Homelander looked back at him and clicked his tongue before taking in all the devastation that was created over him slamming the 'child' into multiple buildings. This is easily millions of dollars' worth of property damage. It wasn't as if Vought wouldn't be able to pay for it. By being on the level of entertainment juggernauts such as Disney they had more than enough money to pay for a city or two getting wrecked.
However, that wasn't the problem. The issue lies with how much damage was made by fighting a goddamn teenager! If he was fighting a group of terrorists sure he'd be able to cut lose a bit! He would even be praised for it! It was not as if the property in war-torn countries was all that luxurious to begin with. But this isn't a war-torn country. In fact, Japan was good friends with America. And here he was, destroying one of their cities. The potential controversy arising from this situation may lead shareholders to reconsider their investment in Vought, due to the implications of antagonizing a friendly nation! It didn't have to come to this! So why?! Why did it come to this?
"Why? … Why would you make me do this!? Do you think that I want to destroy buildings for the fun of it?! Think you fucking child! THINK! You could have just kept doing whatever the fuck you were doing here in Japan! But no… you just had to come out and say that you'd fucking kill me! Me! The fucking Homelander! Just who in the fuck do you think you are?!" Homelander yelled out while closing the distance between him and Ayanokoji. And before finishing speaking, he pressed his foot onto Kiyotaka's skull while most of his skin had been burnt off his head due to Homelander taking him for a ride at a speed that far exceeded that of sound!
'CRAAAAACK!' It didn't take all that much pressure from the 'world's greatest superhero' to shatter his enemy's skull like glass. But even though he saw the eyes belonging to the 'child' pop out of his skull, the latter's demise didn't give him any joy. Not anymore. Because he knew that Ayanokoji was going to get right back up in a matter of time. In fact, he was waiting for him to do it. Because the moment that motherfucker so much as twitches he's going to break him to pieces again! And he'll do it again! And again! And again! And again! No matter how many times it takes that fucker is going six feet under! But before he could do exactly that-
"EAT SHIT HERO!" Decay shouted at the top of her lungs as she rapidly closed the distance between her and Homelander! And before the false god could do anything to stop her, she touched his back! A direct hit! He'll be decaying in no time! The battle is won! And now he will… wait!
"Shit!" Decay yelled out as if an exclamation mark appeared right next to her! At that moment, she realized that what she touched wasn't Homelander's back but what was covering it! That being his cape that showcased the American flag! She didn't see his cape before since he had movie so fast, and it was presented at an angle that withheld any visual cues to him having one in the first place! She got ahead of herself and completely miscalculated. But if he keeps it on for just a few seconds longer than the effects of her Quirk will spread to the rest of his body! Just a few more seconds and he will be de-
'Bam!' In less than an instant, Homelander ripped the cape off of his back. But it wasn't as if he knew what was happening to it! He simply couldn't let such a thing remain on his body after it was touched by such vermin!
"How dare you touch my-ah! What the hell!?" Homelander shouted as he saw his cape being decayed before his eyes! He didn't waste a second by dropping it to the ground! And only a second later it was erased from the earth! It was then that his eyes shot wide open as he realized that if that 'girl' touched him then would he have ended up exactly like his cape? That 'girl' … she must be…
'I'll kill him! I have to! I will NOT let him lay a finger on Deku! After all I will kill- And as for that girl she attempted to close the distance once more! But before she could do so again and finish her thought-
'SLICE!' Both of Decay's legs were sliced off in an instant! Her upper torso immediately collapsed to the ground along with her legs. It all happened in an instant. She had no time to defend herself whatsoever. And the result was obvious.
"AAAAUUUUUGGGGGH!" Decay screamed in agony as the pain skyrocketed throughout her body and especially where her legs used to be. She could no longer feel them as her blood spurted from her lower torso. Her legs too spilled out all the blood that was contained within them onto the cold hard ground below her. Even still she continued to scream out of overwhelming agony as she knew one thing for sure and one thing only. And that was…
… That she was going to die.
"Hahaha…" Homelander chuckled to himself as his blue eyes shined crimson again before unleashing another blast of heat vision!
'FWOOOOSH!' But this time it was concentrated where Decay's eyes were! In an instant, her ability to see was completely taken away. Though that was not all. Unlike the previous blast, this attack didn't last for a nanosecond but continued as her brain was fried as if it was put in the oven! And it was cooked well past the point of being burnt to a crisp! In the process of doing so the heat vision went through her skull until her entire head imploded upon itself! But even though she was dead, Homelander wasn't finished yet.
'FWOOOOM!' Homelander let out one more blast of heat vision that sliced her upper torso in half as both parts fell onto the ground unceremoniously. The stone hard floor was also split in half where her body parts fell. And with that, Decay was utterly annihilated.
"RRRRRAAAAAAH!" Homelander let out a mighty roar as he claimed victory over his foe. His eyes then became blue as he let out a sigh of relief knowing that the enemy that might have been able to kill him was no longer in this world. And as for his other enemy, he was nowhere to be seen. Just where did he run off too now? Homelander tried looking all around him but to no avail. He then closed his eyes as he listened to the passing wind that went by him with an audible 'Whooosh.' But there was no sound of any 'humans' around the vicinity. There were some a few miles away from where ANHS was. Perhaps, he'll go there now. But before he could-
"Weak… little… bitch." Homelander muttered to himself with a satisfied grin on his face looking at his handiwork once more. But this meant that he was distracted. And Ayanokoji didn't waste this chance!
'FWOOOOSH!' The gates of the vortex that brought him back to the battlefield opened once more as he emerged from it! It was then that Homelander's eyes shot wide open! Not just out of surprise but more so out of intense disgust! Because it was there that he saw the massive piece of flesh that was Kiyotaka Ayanokoji's left arm. It was larger and wider than his entire body! And it was absolutely grotesque! It unnerved Homelander just by looking at it. But even still he stood his ground.
"And what are you going to do with that fucking piece of shit? Punch m- Homelander spoke but right before he could finish speaking his attempt at a joke came true as the fist of the giant piece of flesh that was Ayanokoji's left arm landed a blow on him! The size of his fist was almost half as big as Homelander's entire body! And it had more than enough power to send him shooting across the ground and into a plethora of buildings!
'BAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!' The devastation had doubled, no. It had tripled in the wake of Kiyotaka's attack. The city couldn't do a single thing to defend itself against the battle between gods. It was now their battlefield. But even though that was the case, Ayanokoji marveled at how much destruction was caused over a single punch. It was crazy that he was this strong. He didn't have any desire to go all out so quickly. Though what happened with Decay left him no choice. That's why he used several of his Quirks all at once! And those Quirks were-
'SPRINGLIKE LIMBS plus KINETIC BOOSTER TIMES FOUR plus STRENGTH ENHANCER TIMES THREE plus MULTIPLIER plus HYPERTROPHY plus RIVETS plus AIR WALK plus SPEARLIKE BONES!' Kiyotaka thought internally. He had used a combination of eight of his Quirks in order to land such a devastating blow on his enemy and the city as well! But there was no time to waste on such trivialities as enjoying the sight of such glorious destruction. That can be enjoyed to its fullest later. Because right now, his enemy had to be dealt with once and for all!
'Step. Step. Step.' But as he slowly approached his enemy, he didn't see him in the slightest. Kiyotaka thought for sure that Homelander would have returned the pain that he had given him in full. Except that didn't happen. Ayanokoji couldn't even see Homelander with all the debris blocking his line of sight. But as he advanced further the dust settled as he found America's greatest hero. And when he did, his eyes shot wide open. Kiyotaka Ayanokoji couldn't believe what he was seeing. Homelander was on his knees.
'BLAAUGH!' And violently coughing up blood. It appears that the blow Ayanokoji landed on the false god had done far more damage than he thought possible. Kiyotaka knew that a combo attack of his Quirks would be the only way to kill Homelander since he didn't have access to a Quirk like Decay that wouldn't stop damaging the opponent until their eradication. But even still, the extent of the damage that he had inflicted on Homelander was quite surprising to say the least.
"To think that all it took was a single punch to have you kneeling at my feet. I overestimated you. You're profoundly pathetic, John." Kiyotaka declared after closing the distance between him and Homelander. The red, blue and gold superhero could only grit his teeth as blood spilled from the corners of his mouth. His ribs had been shattered to pieces. And his internal organs definitely took a hit too. His bleeding was not only external but internal. He was going to have to go to a hospital. And the thought of having to be treated for his wounds infuriated Homelander to no end. But the sight of him defeated and not being able to move an inch reminded him of something that he had witnessed a few months prior-
A few months ago…
Four months ago, in this very city, Izuku Midoriya had fought against the High-End Nomu, the prized creation of Kyudai Garaki. And just like Homelander, Midoriya had been forced to his knees over the overwhelming amount of pain that was inflicted upon him by the beast. Back then, Ayanokoji couldn't even fathom why Deku was pushing himself so far to save the lives of people he had only known for a few months. It was ludicrous that he wouldn't prioritize his own survival.
But what was even more incomprehensible than that was how the High-End Nomu was enjoying the fight. He had taken a ton of damage throughout the fight. But even though it had to have hurt the beast, it seemed like as the fight went on the foul monster was enjoying himself more and more. Kiyotaka couldn't understand how anyone would enjoy taking such pain with a smile on their face. For the longest time he couldn't understand why that Nomu enjoyed themselves even on the verge of death.
However, that has changed completely. After having to go through a bout where life or death could be decided at any mere moment, he finally understood what made the High-End Nomu pursue his fight with Izuku Midoriya. And that was because of the thrill of it all! There hadn't been a single time in Ayanokoji's time he spent in the White Room when he had undergone any challenge in a physical matter. Not even grown adults trained in various martial arts were able to defeat him when he was a child.
The same could be said now that he was a teenager. But now things have changed. He has finally met what could be called a worthy adversary. Someone that could push him against the wall and pummel him till the wall broke to pieces! Not once had he ever met someone capable of that until he left the White Room! In these short months that haven't even amounted to a year of time, Kiyotaka had encountered enemies that had challenged him again and again. Suzune Horikita, Manabu Horikita, Yosuke Hirata, Izuku Midoriya, and the almighty one that transcended the rest completely, Homelander.
But now, his most worthy foe is on the ground, pathetically throwing up his blood and whatever food he had ingested before this fight. It was just… sad to see. Though pathetic as it may be, things were not going to end like this. It was far too anticlimactic. Their bout had not yet reached its absolute peak yet. And that's why Kiyotaka Ayanokoji approached Homelander until he was standing above him through the former's use of the Quirk Air Walk. Homelander stared back at him with bloodshot eyes as the wind blew past them with an audible 'Whoosh.' As seconds of silence passed by until-
"Come on, John. Get up. You're not done yet." Kiyotaka declared while staring at the false god below him with an unapologetic look on his face. It was only natural for him to do so. Ayanokoji had no sympathy nor any pity whatsoever for the 'superhero' below his feet. All he thought of him was a pawn to use by testing himself until he knew his limits. Though that was not all. There was another reason why he had lured out Homelander and that was made obvious from the very beginning. It was to kill him. And if he no longer had the strength to keep on going then he was going to die. Homelander knew that and gritted his teeth and clenched his fist hard. But there was nothing that he could or so he thought.
"Or maybe I was wrong about you… maybe I grossly underestimated your power. You were made by humans to be far more advanced than they are. Except you can't even kill the human standing above you, can't you? Doesn't that make you less than a human? Nothing more than an ant about to be squashed by my boot." Kiyotaka declared as he held nothing back with his words. If this was the end, then he was going to say exactly what he thought of Homelander without any kind of filter blocking the true intent behind his words. But this was not the end. It isn't over yet. It had only…
… Just reached its climax!
'He's… mocking me! I'll kill him. I'll kill him. I'll kill him. I'll kill him! I'll kill him! I'll kill him! I'LL KILL HIM! I'LL KILL HIM! I'LL KILL HIM! I'LL FUCKING KILL HIM!' Homelander declared internally as several voices within his mind that were him and weren't all screamed out in unison. But in the depths of this contradiction, the one true Homelander rose up to take the reins of his body once more!
'RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE!' At the same time the ground shook violently below him! The pebbles on the ground rising above him! And the stone hard floor cracking to pieces! Kiyotaka Ayanokoji bore witness to all of this as he was utterly taken aback by it all! He couldn't believe what he was seeing! This is 'him!' The Homelander in his true form! The almighty god that had ascended far beyond any human could possibly dream of reaching! It was this Homelander that made Ayanokoji's mouth grow wet with anticipation! And just as he had gained a new appreciation for his enemy, the latter stood up in the blink of an eye!
'BAAAAAAAAAAAM!' And uppercut him in the jaw! The overwhelming power behind the blow sent shockwaves that blew apart the ruins of the buildings left in the wake of the battle between them! But that was not all! Homelander had punched Ayanokoji with enough strength to knock the latter's head clean off! The ferocious all-consuming attack annihilated the head completely leaving only the body!
'WHOOOOSH!' However, the body was forced back into the air by the speed of sound! It flew higher and higher into the sky due to the ultimate strength that Homelander possessed and unleashed at its full capacity! Kiyotaka's headless corpse kept going further and further into the sky and in the process of doing so breaking the clouds apart! But he was not alone! Homelander traveled after him! And in no time at all he had already rapidly outpaced the body of his foe with a level of speed that transcended sound completely! And there in the sky, there was something else too, a flying vehicle carrying tons of people, a plane. And then…
'BAAAAAAAAM!' Kiyotaka Ayanokoji's body as it was traveling in the sky came into contact with the nose of the plane! It didn't damage the plane, though tit did get stuck to it like a piece of flypaper. It was then that Homelander recalled a certain incident from his past. The same one that involved a plane much like this one. And it didn't take long for that thought to transform into a devilish scheme that was too tantalizing to resist. But that wasn't all, he noticed that his enemy's head hadn't regenerated yet. His foe also took much longer to heal just before this. All of the previous times that fucking child had died he was right back up. But now…
… Kiyotaka Ayanokoji was steadily approaching the limits of his power. And the realization of that made Homelander smile more wickedly than he had ever done before this moment.
"Hahaha… hahahahaha. Oh, what fucking fun this will be." Homelander muttered to himself before tearing the body of the inferior creature off of the plane's nose, breaking several bones of the latter in the process. Homelander then took one last look at the spinning turbine located on the right wing before loosening his grip on the child in his hands.
"Whoops." Homelander said out loud as Ayanokoji's body soared toward the turbine at deafening speeds until-
'BOOOOOOOOOM!' Making contact with the spinning engine and destroying it in the process! The turbine caught fire as the entire plane shook violently causing several passengers to look outside with horrified looks on their faces! But Homelander in response simply waved back at them with a smile on his face! The plane then rapidly descended as it lost altitude until it vanished behind the dark grey clouds. The plane would soon crash, and all of its passengers would die the same way in comparison to what happened to Transoceanic Flight Thirty-Seven. But this time, they would all be joined in the afterlife by that fucking child! And it's all thanks to that despicable worm for giving him the resolve to finish things once and for all! The battle was over! And the winner was Home-
"OH, YOU'VE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!" Homelander shouted at the top of his lungs as he heard another enemy coming from a mile away! Just who was it this time!? No matter! Whoever they are they will fall like that fucking plane full of fucking humans and will di- But Homelander's thought process was shattered to pieces as he noticed just who was coming at him with the speed akin to a space shuttle! And that was a girl he had briefly fought against just a minute or two ago. And her name was-
"I'M COMING FOR YOU, HERO!" Decay snapped back at the top of her lungs as she met Homelander head on, on top of the Winged Nomu! But how could this be!? Decay died! She was utterly annihilated off the face of the earth by Homelander himself! So just how could this be!? Just how was she-
"Why the fuck… ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?! Homelander snapped back as he shot his heat vision at the girl with white hair and dressed in black faster than she could blink!
'FWOOOOM!' The result was only obvious! The girl's head was split open due to the overwhelming heat behind Homelander's beam of crystalized energy! But the very next moment, her head healed much to Homelander's sheer surprise! How could she have the same power that fucking child has?! But he wouldn't get his answer cause the girl had no answers to give him! Instead, she had a present just for him! One that was right on her hand! Though to explain how this had occurred-
'To think when he had slapped my back, he transferred a Quirk that had restoration properties. Without that, I would have died. Well, I did die. But now… so will he.' Decay thought internally as she closed the distance between her and Homelander! But it was just as she said. Right before Ayanokoji had been pummeled into several buildings, he had given Decay a copy of his Regeneration Quirk. Though since it was a duplication of a duplication made by the Copy Quirk, it would only function properly for only a few more moments! But would that be enough to finish things with Homelander?! And as for America's Superhero-
"DON'T YOU DARE FUCKING TOUCH ME!" Homelander's shouted at the top of his lungs with enough force to blow any normal human off their feet! But there was nothing normal about Decay! And that gave her the advantage as she grinned sadistically while moving her arm forward until she-
'FWOOOOSH!' Had it cut off by Homelander's heat vision! But the pain of losing her arm didn't stop her for even a second! Her arm regenerated in the blink of an eye along with any wounds she had sustained before this! Such as the small hole in each of her hands due to her fight with Honami Ichinose! All of Decay's external injuries had been rendered moot, by the insane healing power of the Regeneration Quirk on the verge of self-destructing! But before it could-
'WHOOOOSH!' Homelander shot through the sky akin to a speeding bullet! He wasn't going to be caught! He knew what would happen to him if Decay touched him! He would be utterly destroyed! No doubt about it! He was not going to die! Not to a pathetic little fucking brat like her! But as for that brat she soared after him while standing on top of the Winged Nomu! She laughed sadistically all the way as her prey was so close yet so far! But she couldn't let him escape! She just had to catch him! If only she was faster! If only she was faster than this monster, she's riding on top of then she would be able to kill him for sur- But before she could finish that thought of hers-
'WHOOOOSH!' The air currents ripped past her and Homelander! It was so sudden that it almost spun the American Superhero off course! He could only back out of utmost bewilderment as he wondered what had caused such insane winds! But there he saw a mini tornado form where the girl and her pet monster had been just before! Where had they gone!? And why had this tornado formed out of nowhere?! Nothing made sense until the winds dispersed, revealing what monstrosity lay within it.
'BAAAAAAAAAAAM!' At the same time, pure energy, the color of purple struck against the air as the appearance of the monster was revealed to be a humanoid person with four arms. Two of them belonged to the girl, the other two came from the monster. The girl's arms were stained black as the night sky! And her neck had several black lines on it that covered parts of her face too! But this was the same young woman by the name of Decay! So, what had happened to the Winged Nomu?! The answer is simple…
… They had 'fused' with each other.
"Hahaha… guess I leveled up!" Decay muttered to herself with a horrifying smile on her face before zooming across the sky with an impressive 'WHOOOOSH!' That ripped the air apart! She was so fast that even Homelander couldn't react in time! And with that her prey was finally in her grasp at last!
'Bam!' Before Homelander knew what hit him, he was slapped across the face by Decay's right hand. At the same time several lines appeared on his cheeks, and they too grew with size! His cheeks appeared to be puffed out akin to a chipmunk before they-
'BAAAAAAAAAM!' Exploded along with the rest of his head! Unfortunately for Homelander, he had no access to a Regeneration Quirk. He would not be healing from his grave injuries. And his body fell back down to the earth while a helicopter caught footage of exactly what had transpired. The whole fight had been recorded by the masked man dressed up as the villain Twice while the copter was being flown by Tsukishiro. This was all according to Ayanokoji's plan. But there was one thing he couldn't have accounted for in a million years. Decay no longer possessed the Decay Quirk. It had reverted back to its original state due to combining with the unstable copy of Regeneration and in the process of doing so, it became… the Quirk...
… Overhaul.
"Weak… little… bitch." Decay said out loud while Homelander's blood painted her face crimson along with her entire body. At the same time, she chuckled to herself over her new gained power and the death of the false god who had killed her. But by killing her she had ascended beyond what she thought was possible. And now she was even more powerful than Homelander was. And the people all across the world were shown just that as the death of America's most powerful superhero traveled throughout the globe! But along with this video came another. One that would light the sparks for something much more disastrous. And the person to do so was none other than the same man who had masterminded everything from its inception.
"And just like I had said it would go down; Homelander has been killed. I may have not been able to do him in, in the end, but my greatest pawn had accomplished just that for me. My second in command, the villain Decay." Kiyotaka said while Decay stood beside him along with his allies dressed up in a way that obscured their identities, by using the disguise of the members of the League of Villains. Mr. Compress, Twice, and Spinner. (Though no one would be able to recognize Kushida over how much her appearance had changed into that of a monster.) The people of America in particular watched this broadcast go down on the edge of their seats in the wake of a tragedy the nation had not seen since September 11th 2001.
"Don't think any of Vought's heroes will be able to stop me now. And if they just so and try to avenge their fallen comrade then they too will be hunted down and killed. The attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed. But I can assure you, my resolve has never been stronger!
