800 years in the future.
A few days after taking the Mutant Chicken processing and training facility and a few more successful missions, Bubblegum and Chicle decided that they needed to investigate the Space Angel Kingdom and make sure Ghostfreak and Lazarus-92 were still there. Chicle told some of the others what they were doing and Simon and Neddy decided to accompany them. The four of them left Sanctuary unaware someone was spying on them as they left. The spy was a black round robot with spider legs and camera eyes. It was a creation of the Black Hat Organization and it was transmitting a live video feed back to Black Hat's lair. Black Hat sat in a chair as he watched Simon, Bubblegum, Neddy, and Chicle leave Sanctuary and smiled evilly. Now was the time to set his evil plan into motion. He pulled out a phone and made a call.
"It's time. You know what to do." Said Black Hat to the person on the other end of the phone.
Miles away Simon, Bubblegum, Neddy, and Chicle reached the Space Angel Kingdom. Bubblegum looked at the dome that surrounded the kingdom with interest as Chicle and the others inspected it. Chicle scanned the dome with a device from his armor and frowned a little.
"Anything wrong?" Asked Neddy.
"No nothing's wrong the dome appears to be working." Said Chicle.
"That's good." Said Bubblegum.
"It would be, but that doesn't help explain how Malware and Ridley escaped." Said Chicle.
"I think we have company." Said Simon indicating the other side of the dome.
Everyone looked to see Space Angel Princess approaching the dome with a smirk on her face. Bubblegum had to resist shuddering at the sight of Space Angel Princess's appearance. She had seen the purple glowing eyes and creepy black lines on Space Angel Princess's face from the recordings that were retrieved from the bot factory, but it was a little unsettling to see them in person.
"Hello Simon. Neddy. Chicle. I see you've come to visit me and you brought a special guest with you. Now what brings you to my little kingdom." Said Space Angel Princess in a voice that was a mix of hers and Ghostfreak's voice.
"You know why we're here. Your friends and Malware and Ridley got out and we're trying to figure out how they did that." Said Chicle.
"Figured as much. I might know something about that and more, but that information has a price." Said Space Angel Princess.
"You and Lazarus-92 are not being freed." Said Simon firmly.
"You know us so well wizard. Though I think you might change your opinion once you know what I know and what it at stake. Me and Lazarus-92 are offering up our unique services if you free us. A onetime offer." Said Space Angel Princess.
"What exactly do you know?" Asked Bubblegum.
"Mom be careful. You shouldn't trust this monster." Warned Neddy.
"Oh you should trust me in this case, because I'm being truthful and to show you how honest I am, I'll leave my host." Said Space Angel Princess.
Everyone watched as Space Angel Princess's body crumpled to the ground and something nightmarish rose up from it like a demented spirit. It was the true form of Ghostfreak. Bubblegum stepped back in shock and horror at Ghostfreak's true form. It was a creature that's appearance rivaled the Lich in horror!
Ghostfreak had a ghost-like body, with gray-purple and had black lines running across his chest. His head resembled a grey-brown skull turned upside-down, with uneven teeth, black lips, and one purple eye. Ghostfreak had long black nails, with tears in his skin, revealing black and white striped tentacles underneath.
"It feels good to get out of my host every now and then." Said Ghostfreak as he stretched his limbs.
Bubblegum regained her composure and faced the horrible creature.
"How exactly did Malware and Ridley get out?" Asked Bubblegum.
"Oh they had help from a very powerful person." Said Ghostfreak.
"Gumbald." Said Chicle.
"Good guess, but not quite. It was someone associated with Gumbald who I have to say is pretty wicked." Said Ghostfreak.
"Wicked how?" Asked Neddy.
"He's a artist of the evil trade. Carefully making plans to benefit himself and people like him. A gentleman with a business of evil." Said Ghostfreak.
"Black Hat." Said Simon realizing who Ghostfreak was talking about.
"Yes Black Hat helped Malware and Ridley escape. It was to cause chaos and some other things." Said Ghostfreak.
Space Angel Princess began to stir and she looked up to see she was close to the dome wall. She scrambled to her feet and raced towards the wall as fast as she could. Space Angel Princess was almost to the dome, when Ghostfreak's tentacles shot out, grabbed her, and began dragging her back to Ghostfreak. She screamed and clawed out the ground to break free, but it was no use. Space Angel Princess looked up at Simon and the others and pleaded to them.
"Kill...me...please!" Cried Space Angel Princess.
Bubblegum was horrified by this plead and wondered what kind of hell and torture that Ghostfreak put Soace Angel through, that she would desire death. Before she or anyone else could do anything Space Angel Princess reached Ghostfreak and he went intangible before merging with her body. Space Angel Princess just stood there before she popped her neck a few times and looked at the group.
"Black Hat has something in the works that's supposed to play against you. I don't know what it is, but it can't be good, so I'm offering my services to you as well as Lazarus-92's services." Said Ghostfreak.
"No deal." Said Neddy.
"We need to return to Sanctuary at once." Said Simon.
"Fine, but will meet again." Said Ghostfreak with a chuckle as he watched the four heroes walk away.
As all that was going on something bad was fixing to go down at Sanctuary. Thromnambular, Double Bubblegum who was wearing a outfit similar to the one Bubblegum was wearing, and Green Knight were by the protective boarder, when they were called by Black Hat and told to strike since Simon was gone. Thromnambular used his magic and ripped a hole into the protective magical barrier and he and the others entered Sanctuary. Once inside Double Bubblegum pulled out six small black spheres with glowing red lights on them. The spheres rose out of her hand and scattered around the far parts of Sanctuary, where they located some houses and shops and hid themselves.
"The drones are in place, now let's go find what we came for." Said Double Bubblegum.
The trio of villains snuck towards the city.
Eria was at a local park watching her children, Nora and Ezra playing with some other kids. Mavis, Marcus, Noah, and Lilly were also hanging at the park enjoying themselves. All was good in the world, when Bubblegum suddenly walked onto the scene and headed towards Nora and Ezra.
"Grandma!" Said the two children excitedly as they ran over to Bubblegum.
"Hello my sweet little grandkids." Said Bubblegum.
"Hey Bubblegum, I didn't expect you to be back so soon, where's Neddy and the others?" Asked Eria as she headed over to Bubblegum.
"Oh there around. Why don't I take the kids on a little adventure." Said Bubblegum.
Eria didn't know why, but something was up. Her husband and father would have come along with Bubblegum to the park to see her and the kids.
"We're fine right here. Let's wait for the others." Said Eria.
"Oh come on I want to show the kids something special." Said Bubblegum as a nozzle suddenly poked out of her arm and unleashed a cloud of pink gas.
The gas hit both Nora and Ezra and both kids suddenly felt sleepy and fell to the ground. The gas headed towards Eria and she got a partial breath from it, before she quickly blew it away with a gust of cold wind. Eria felt a little woozy, but managed to stay standing. Mavis, Marcus, Noah, and Lilly saw this and took up fighting stances as they closed in on Bubblegum and Eria.
"Darn I was hoping to knock you out." Muttered Bubblegum.
"Who...are you?" Demanded Eria.
"I'm Bubblegum's creation, Double Bubblegum, though you probably recognize me by the alias Red Knight." Said Double Bubblegum as her eyes turned red.
"I don't know what you're doing here or how you got it, but you better surrender." Said Mavis as she, Marcus, Noah, and Lilly prepared to attack.
"I might have been intimidated if I hadn't come here alien or without a plan." Said Double Bubblegum with a smirk.
The drones around Sanctuary then exploded creating fires and chaos that momentarily distracted all the heroes. In that moment of distraction four large grassy vines burst out of the ground and wrapped themselves around Mavis, Marcus, Noah, and Lilly lifting them up in the air and restrained them. Eria quickly reacted and fired an ice blast at Double Bubblegum, but Thromnambular appeared in front of the evil robot and deflected the blast and fired an energy blast of his own that struck Eria and knocked her to the ground.
"Tell your father, Thromnambular was here." Said Thromnambular as Green Knight suddenly came out from behind a tree and joined Thromnambular and Double Bubblegum.
Green Knight extended a couple of green vines from his waist that reached down and grabbed the sleeping forms of Nora and Era and lifted them up in the air to be carried besides the Green Knight.
"We have what we came for. Now will be leaving, but you'll be getting a message from us soon." Said Double Bubblegum.
Mavis, Marcus, Noah, and Lilly ripped themselves out of the grassy vines as Eria scrambled to her feet. The five of them tried to attack the trio of villains, but Thromnambular used his magic to teleport them away taking the kids with them.
"KIDS!" Screamed Eria in dismay.
The villains had made a bold move and had taken two young kids as their hostages as part of a wicked evil plan to strike the heroes and make sure Bubblegum never returned to her time.
