I DO NOT OWN TOTAL DRAMA (or mha)
BETH
Beth was out on her farm doing chores. She had finished feeding the chicken and now she was moving onto the pigs. She was humming a nice tune in her head as she was doing all her chores. She smiled because she always loved spending time on her farm, whether it was taking care of the animals or just simply fixing small things like the fences. Though she wasn't very good at the last one, she still liked to be helpful to her parents.
Now it wasn't to say Beth was content to stay on the farm forever, she also has dreams and goals of her own. She thought about when she was younger, she used to practice flaming baton twirling. Everyone thought that given her personality, it would be the last thing Beth would attempt to do since it was too dangerous. But Beth was always open to new ideas, optimistic that if she tried hard enough then things would eventually work out for her. The only problem though was that her parents lost confidence in her ability to perform since she almost burned down the barn. Due to that accident, she was no longer allowed to learn how to twirl flaming batons. Which was even more of a shame because she would've been able to practice how to catch better.
She was sad about it of course but she had other things she was passionate about such as arts and crafts. She was still a beginner at that though but she had made a head start by creating friendship bracelets for everyone she wanted to be friends with. The only challenge though was that most of the people she gave the bracelets to weren't exactly friendly with her. Guess she just didn't have that much luck with making friends in general.
Without realizing it, Beth's eyes rolled in the back of her head and went back to normal. She then approached the pigs and began to give them their grain. One of the pigs approached her even though she was done feeding them grain. She smiled at the approaching pig, she could never resist how adorable these pigs were.
She kneeled down and petted the pig with her right hand, smiling at the mud covered animal. What happened next surprised her because the moment her hand made contact, her palm was glowing green. She moved her hand back quickly and examined her palm, but the glow quickly died down.
"What?" She asked out loud, looking back and forth between her hand and the pig. She stands up and looks at both her hands in shock. "Do I… have magic? Am I like Harry Potter?"
Beth's shock turned into excitement, she loved magic. As a kid, she would always enjoy those cool magic shows at birthday party's and those fantasy movies she'd watch. She turned away from the pig pen and thrust her hands out.
"ABRA KADABRA!" Beth chanted out excitedly. She waited for a few minutes, but nothing happened, the glow from earlier wasn't appearing. She decided to try again. "Bibbidi bobbidi boo. Alakazam. Expelliarmus."
Beth's enthusiasm was dying down quickly, she didn't understand what she was doing wrong. She didn't say anything the first time it happened, so maybe it was a nonverbal type of magic. She snapped out of her thoughts when heard a snapping sound behind her. She turned around and was once again surprised. She didn't know how but the bag with the grain in it tore open and spilled into the pig pen, giving the pig she petted extra grain to eat.
"What? No, no, no." Beth acted quickly, rushing inside the pig pen and trying to gather up the extra grain before the other pigs got to it. She then tried to remove the bag further away, but that ended up backfiring because it got caught on a loose nail. Beth tried to pull it away, but that ended up causing a bigger hole in the bag and pouring the rest of the grain into the pig pen. Beth whined, not believing she did that, but on the bright side the pigs got lucky.
She looked down at her sleeve and saw she had some grain on herself. She tried to wipe it off but that's when it happened again. When her hand made contact with her arm, her palm glowed bright green again. Beth was surprised, but happy to know it wasn't a one time thing. Was it just magical hands and not her entire body? She looked over herself and didn't notice anything different, maybe it just needed a minute or two to activate.
She shrugged and decided to head back into the house. She was walking and she glanced down because she noticed something on the ground. She picked it up and held it in her hands, surprised to see it was a $50 bill. She was surprised, after all, what were the odds someone would get this lucky! She smiled and placed the $50 bill in her pocket.
Once she was back inside her house, the rest of the day was filled with nothing but good luck. The sink that's clogged that her dad said he'd try to fix after work was now fine. Beth turned the handle on and off and just assumed that her dad had fixed it before he left. Also, she got an alert on her phone letting her know about her social media. She saw that several people that rejected her friendship bracelets had changed their minds and shown them off.
Beth's night was filled with so many good things happening, that she was able to go to sleep with a big smile on her face. What she didn't know was that once the clock had reached midnight, her palm flickered green instead of glowed.
