Yeah... So... Part 4! Enjoy!
It was a fairly normal day.
Well, as normal as it could be at Site 37, one of the many facilities of the SCP Foundation, located in Northern Ontario, Canada. The site's personnel—scientists, researchers, guards, and security agents—were carrying out their daily tasks: research, containment, analysis, patrols, the usual activities in a site of this magnitude.
However, the emergence of Quirks had shaken what could be called 'normal.'
The appearance of these powers had caused significant problems within the Site. Losses of control over Quirks had become commonplace, which could lead to major issues with containment. As a result, any individual afflicted by these 'Quirks' was strictly forbidden from approaching the containment zones...
Easier said than done, though.
That's why drastic measures had been taken.
/
The silence in this compartment was oppressive, lit only by a blood-red light, broken occasionally by the hum of the van's engine, the occasional clinking of two carabiners, weapons tapping lightly against bulletproof vests, the rustling of combat uniforms as one of the seven men tried to settle in more comfortably, and the heavy breathing, sometimes nervous, behind gas masks.
They all bore the Foundation's insignia, but on their shoulders, another patch was attached.
A man with multiple eyes, lightning shooting from his body, water droplets dripping from his right hand, and stylized flames from his left hand, all in black and white, was depicted, stabbed by a combat knife.
Below that, another patch.
'Mobile Task Force Tau-81 "Nullifiers"'.
A hand tapped one of the soldiers on the shoulder.
Agent Bradley Marsh looked up, staring at the person who had tapped him through the fogged visor of his gas mask.
Agent Kai Andrews tilted his head, and Bradley saw a certain concern in his eyes.
He nodded. He was nervous, but he would be fine.
Agent Andrews observed him for a while before nodding back, turning around, and leaning against the gray M-Tac as much as he could, which looked black in the red light, and stared fixedly at the opposite side.
Bradley, on the other hand, lowered his head a little and looked at his arm. There was a tattoo there, a portrait, like a family photo, which he had gotten from the best tattoo artist in his town. His family, his sweet wife Cerys, his 16-year-old son Caden, and his 7-year-old daughter Eve.
And beneath that, the word, stylized in gothic font.
'Protect.'
It was for them that he was there, and it was for them that he was about to do a job that made him sick.
The voice of their driver suddenly broke the silence, slightly muffled by his gas mask.
"ETA 2 minutes before entering the restricted zone. Prepare yourselves."
As if that triggered something in his body, Bradley felt his muscles tense with nervousness. What if something went wrong? What if he got hit by a stray bullet?
He was really scared, wasn't he? He clenched his fists. No, he wasn't a coward, not if his family could be put in danger. That was why he had signed up, to protect his family from the horrors lurking in the shadows.
He lowered his tattooed arm just as Lieutenant Alex Barrett stood from his bench, one hand against the armored vehicle wall, slightly hunched over, the NVGs attached to his helmet brushing the ceiling.
"Alright, everyone remembers the mission objective."
Everyone nodded.
"Perfect, stay sharp. And remember, leave none standing."
"Aye, sir!", everyone shouted, though the enthusiasm was somewhat lacking. After all, nobody liked the idea of shooting their colleagues…
The lieutenant sat back down just as the vehicle entered the restricted zone around the site. They drove for another two minutes before the first checkpoint appeared. From what Bradley could see, there were only two guards.
There should have been more, which meant the message had gotten through.
The two guards approached their driver's window, who rolled it down, simultaneously pulling out his Glock 17...
As soon as the first guard appeared, the driver raised his weapon and fired.
A dart hit the man's neck, and he collapsed with a groan. The second guard raised his weapon, but the driver stuck his arm and part of his head out, shooting the man, who fell as well.
The driver fired a third time, and a grunt of pain could be heard as a gunshot rang out, impacting the armored body of the van and ricocheting. The screeching sound made Bradley grit his teeth. Damn it.
"Clear.", the driver signaled.
Lieutenant Barrett stood up again, moved into the space between the two benches, and kicked the rear door open violently. Bradley clutched his weapon to his chest and jumped out first, crouching and shouldering his rifle to scan the surroundings, ready to fire. Behind him, the rest of the team exited the vehicle and established their perimeter. Aside from the bodies of the three unconscious guards, there was nothing.
"Clear!", echoed throughout, and everyone stood up.
The air was cool, and a breeze gently brushed against the agent's skin, calming his nerves slightly. It would take a lot more to completely calm him down, though.
The group gathered on the left side of the vehicle, and the lieutenant went to speak with the driver.
"We'll meet you at the designated point. Make sure to notify the cleanup team to start moving their asses."
The driver nodded before saying.
"Good luck, guys."
With that, he closed his window, reversed, turned around, and drove off quickly.
The group remained in the middle of the road for a moment, then the lieutenant motioned with his hand.
"Let's go. Single file behind me. Let's find that damn maintenance entrance and get this dirty work started."
With that, the group disappeared into the woods.
…
"Two more seconds... and... got it. Access point unlocked.", Agent Jace O'Neal reported, disconnecting the cable from his hacking console from the electronic panel they had found. The entrance to the maintenance shafts opened with a creak, revealing a ladder that probably led to ventilation ducts or something like that.
Bradley made sure his weapon was secured before descending the ladder and took it back in hand once he reached the bottom. It was pitch black down there, so he had to lower the NVGs on his helmet with a click.
Everything turned a dull green. It was still hard to see, and Bradley had to squint to make out what was ahead, but it was better than before.
"Move forward.", the lieutenant instructed once he was down.
The group advanced through tunnels large enough for them to walk two abreast without their heads grazing the ceiling, weapons raised, ready for any eventuality.
"Damn, I never thought a maintenance tunnel could smell this good.", remarked Agent Alice Riley.
"They must've cleaned it recently. I thought that never happened at our sites. Remember that tunnel in—", began Agent Stanley Clark, but he was cut off by the lieutenant's stern voice.
"Shut your mouths. You can chat later."
Silence returned, broken only by the sound of their footsteps.
Bradley felt a bead of sweat form on his forehead, both from the stress he was experiencing and the heat inside the gas mask. The drop trickled down his eyebrow, onto his nose, and finally dripped to the corner of his lips. He licked them, tasting the salty sweat on his tongue.
Finally, they reached a door dimly lit by a pale white light. Bradley raised his NVGs and stood in the light as the lieutenant approached, pulled a sort of map from one of the pouches on his bulletproof vest, studied it for a few seconds, and then put it back.
"This is it. Bradley, you're on the door. There's a janitor's storage room on the other side, so be careful not to knock anything over."
Bradley nodded and held his access card up to the door. It beeped and opened, allowing him to enter. Voices could be heard from the other side of the storage room door, and Bradley froze.
"Hostiles on the other side of the door.", Bradley notified as he crouched to the side, letting Agent Andrews move past him, taking position in the opposite corner, weapon raised.
"Riley, you handle the door. Marsh, Andrews, provide cover. Peterson, once we've neutralized the hostiles in front of the door, I want you to set up an HMG position.", the lieutenant ordered.
"Lieutenant, what's behind this door?", Clark asked from inside the duct.
"A cafeteria."
Bradley saw Andrews glance over his watch and groan softly. The cafeteria would likely be full at this hour.
Agent Riley approached the door and pulled out her access card. She looked at her two comrades and counted.
"Three."
Bradley adjusted his grip on his weapon.
"Two."
He exhaled a bit shakily.
"One."
The agent felt his muscles tense up.
"Go.", Riley pressed her card to the reader, and the door opened with a hiss.
Bradley bolted out of the room and smashed the stock of his weapon into the nose of a scientist, whose eyes widened in surprise, his hands covered in scales. The man collapsed, and the two others—a second scientist with horns on his forehead and an engineer with cement-gray skin—barely had time to squeal in shock before they, too, dropped, struck by darts fired by Andrews.
Bradley raised his weapon, aimed, and fired at two guards standing across the large cafeteria, dropping one. The second was quicker though, and managed to take cover behind a pillar.
The people present in the cafeteria began screaming and panicking, running in all directions. Many had Quirks, and some attempted to use them to defend themselves. Bradley was forced to overturn a table just as some sort of corrosive green jelly hit it, sizzling against the metal surface as it ate through it.
Peterson rushed out of the storage room, covered by Andrews, and set up his M249 with a bipod on a table before opening fire. People dropped left and right, cut down by the barrage of darts whizzing through the air, smashing and shattering into all sorts of surfaces when they didn't hit anyone.
The rest of the group deployed, exiting the room to position themselves in the hall and neutralize more targets.
Alarms started blaring their ominous melody as the room was bathed in red. The remaining guard tried to hold out against the team but was quickly neutralized.
However, reinforcements arrived soon after. Half a squad of guards entered through the cafeteria door.
Bradley saw a scientist run towards them, relief mixed with fear painted on his face.
The squad leader raised a needle pistol and shot him point-blank.
"Neutralize the rest.", he ordered.
"Aye.", the three other guards replied, raising their weapons to unload their contents—more darts—on the remaining staff, who, caught in a crossfire, were quickly eliminated.
The lieutenant lowered his weapon and stepped out from behind cover.
"Captain Gale Foster, status report."
The leader of the security squad lowered his weapon as well and approached the lieutenant.
"You are the guys from Tau-81?"
The lieutenant nodded, and the captain sighed.
"Our troops successfully engaged the personnel with Quirks. The attack was swift, and a few quirkless scientists even helped the apprehension of some targets."
The lieutenant nodded slowly, then turned to the rest of the group.
"Alright guys, we still have work to do..."
Bradley nodded slowly. Yeah, they still had work to do...

Title: "Purge Protocol" Initiation
Date: [REDACTED]
Location: Global Sites – Three Weeks Post-SCP-231-7A-01 Incident
Prepared by: O5 Council
Classification Level: Level 5
Threat Classification: Extreme Anomalous Population Management
Overview:
Three weeks after the global Quirk phenomenon triggered by SCP-231-7A-01, the SCP Foundation initiated "Purge Protocol" in response to escalating concerns over the uncontrolled manifestation of Quirks among Foundation personnel. The Quirk activation rate across Foundation facilities reached critical levels, with approximately 72% of on-site staff affected by anomalous abilities, many of which posed risks to site security, containment operations, and internal stability. The Purge Protocol was designed to non-lethally neutralize affected individuals, re-establish containment integrity, and implement a long-term strategy for reintegration or containment of Quirked personnel.
The newly established Mobile Task Force Tau-81, codenamed "Nullifiers", was formed exclusively from quirkless personnel. Their mandate: neutralize Quirked individuals within Foundation sites and safely transfer them to Sorting Sites for evaluation, processing, and reintegration into either civilian life or restricted containment facilities, depending on their potential threat level and utility.
Objectives of the Purge Protocol:
Immediate Containment and Neutralization of Quirk-bearing personnel to prevent accidental breaches, sabotage, or anomalous incidents.
Establishment of Sorting Sites for assessment, where Quirked personnel could be sorted into two categories:
Reintegration to Civil Life: Quirked individuals deemed safe after assessment would be amnesticized and returned to civilian life with fabricated cover stories.
Restricted Personnel Containment: Quirked individuals whose importance is deemed too important to be reintegrated to civil life would remain under strict Foundation oversight.
Restoration of Internal Security within Foundation sites to ensure critical containment procedures could continue without interference from unpredictable Quirk effects.
Mobile Task Force Tau-81 (MTF Tau-81 "Nullifiers"):
Designation: Mobile Task Force Tau-81, composed entirely of quirkless Foundation personnel immune to the genetic modifications of SCP-231-7A-01. These operatives were selected for their high levels of discipline, loyalty, and expertise in neutralizing anomalous entities with non-lethal methods.
Equipment:
Tranquilizer Darts: Doses customized for Quirked individuals based on genetic and anomalous profiles.
Amnestic Deployment Devices: Standard-issue aerosol canisters containing Class-B and Class-C amnestics to be administered during processing at sorting sites.
Mission Directives:
Identify and neutralize Quirked personnel non-lethally.
Ensure compliance through use of Quirk Dampeners and tranquilizers.
Transport neutralized personnel to designated Sorting Sites for evaluation.
Provide post-operation reports on Quirked individual status and any anomalies observed during neutralization.
Execution of the Purge Protocol:
Phase 1: Site-Wide Quirk Neutralization (Day 1-5)
During the initial phase, MTF Tau-81 deployed across Foundation sites globally. Using a combination of Quirk Dampeners and tranquilizers, teams moved systematically to locate, neutralize, and secure Quirked personnel. The operation's non-lethal nature ensured minimal resistance, though several minor incidents of Quirk-triggered defense mechanisms were recorded. Notably, the deployment of Quirk Dampeners was highly effective in deactivating potentially dangerous Quirks, such as reality-warping abilities or uncontrolled energy discharges.
Once neutralized, affected personnel were transferred to Sorting Sites. These high-security temporary facilities, constructed to handle mass intake and evaluation, were equipped with advanced security systems. Personnel were sedated and processed based on a pre-established categorization protocol that included a full Quirk profile assessment, psychological evaluation, and a determination of the individual's threat or utility to the Foundation.
Sorting Site Locations:
Sorting Site Alpha: Located near Site-19, handling American personnel.
Sorting Site Beta: Located in Europe, designed to process personnel from Europe and Africa.
Sorting Site Gamma: Pacific region, for processing personnel from Asian and Australasian Sites.
Sorting Site Protocol:
Upon arrival at Sorting Sites, Quirked personnel were placed into one of two main categories:
Category 1: Civilian Reintegration
Personnel in this category were Quirked individuals whose abilities were classified as non-threatening, benign, or easily suppressible. These individuals were amnesticized with Class-C amnestics and administered new cover stories. They were subsequently returned to civilian life with minor monitoring protocols to ensure no post-reintegration anomalies emerged.
Case Example:
Dr. Michael Henders (Site-17): Developed a minor Quirk that allowed him to change the color of his skin at will. After psychological evaluation and genetic testing, Henders was deemed low risk. Administered Class-C amnestics, provided a cover story of early retirement, and released back into civilian life.
Category 2: Restricted Personnel Containment
Individuals in this category were quirked personnel which knowledge was deemed important to the Foundation. These individuals were kept in restricted environments, where they continued limited work within the Foundation or were held under containment if their abilities could not be fully controlled.
Case Example:
Agent Sarah Wolfe (Site-19): Developed a Quirk enabling limited telekinetic manipulation. Although cooperative, the potential risk of accidental containment breach during high-stress situations led to her being placed in restricted personnel containment with limited operational duties.
Phase 3: Post-Sorting Reintegration and Containment (Day 13-21)
Following evaluation, Category 1 individuals were released with fabricated cover stories to ensure smooth transition back into civilian life. Those in Category 2 were reassigned to restricted operations under close surveillance.
Internal Reactions and Long-Term Outlook:
Foundation Personnel (Quirkless)
Initial resistance to the Purge Protocol from Quirked personnel was anticipated but minimal due to the speed and effectiveness of MTF Tau-81. Quirkless personnel took on leadership roles during this period, and many were trained to take over positions previously held by Quirked individuals, ensuring that operations remained seamless.
Foundation Personnel (Quirked)
For those processed under the Purge Protocol, emotional and psychological responses varied. Some expressed relief at being relieved of their anomalous status and returned to civilian life. However, individuals kept in restricted containment exhibited signs of anxiety, frustration, and in some cases, resentment towards Foundation leadership. Continued psychological support and monitoring are being implemented to manage these responses.
Conclusions:
The Purge Protocol has successfully restored control over the vast majority of Foundation personnel, neutralizing potential risks posed by Quirk-bearing individuals. However, the situation remains fluid, as new Quirked manifestations continue to arise within both Foundation ranks and the civilian population. Mobile Task Force Tau-81 remains active, ensuring swift containment and processing of newly discovered Quirked personnel. Sorting Sites will continue to operate until further notice, pending the development of more permanent solutions for managing the Quirk phenomenon.
End of Report
I feel like explanations are needed... The Foundation will have a strictly anti-quirk policy, except some individuals in the Mobile Task Forces, or important peoples.
Thus the reason they made that Purge Protocol.
