I decided to go to school today as I could hang out with my classmate to farm affection and Kobayashi had called into school to discuss something with me.
This could be considered a waste of time but at the same time, I don't have any urgent events near me at the moment. Plus I can grind some miscellaneous skills during class.
So I donned my sunglasses of which I possess an innumerable amount of before heading to school. After I arrived in class and greeted Rihoko which I have been purposefully leading on I sat down in my chair and waited for the teacher to come in before I pulled out the grimoire I had gotten as my reward for beating the Zombie dungeon.

Well, that's new. I have never gotten an item like that before. Wanting to know more I opened the book and started reading.
(If you are reading this then the very last essence of my being has passed away into oblivion. This grimoire contains my legacy for my future inheritor. This book is the accumulation of my research into the art of necromancy. The book itself is a superior soul storage capable of storing an immense amount of souls.)
After a few opening paragraphs introducing the book, a menu opened up in from of me and I realized just how huge this was.

You would need to trap souls to learn the spells of this book however this book itself is an artifact that automatically draws souls of the departed toward itself and stores them.
That's right. This goddam book was a literal skill tree of necromancy containing a library of necromancer spells and advice on using them.
To learn the spells I need to fill the book with souls before using them to learn the spells. There were mundane ones such as Preserve Corpse to ones such as Cry of the Banshee.
And then there was the summon death Knight card.

Powerful undead knights that specialize in defense. With their large stature, heavy armor, and tower shield they can tank almost any blow. While their offensive capabilities aren't impressive for their level their defensive capabilities certainly are.

Once I am high enough to raise them I am definitely having some guard my fragile ass.
Next up were my gacha tokens I saved up from the crypt. The more tokens I get from a dungeon the less likely I am to get them it seems so I only have 4.

By branding someone as a servant you can always view their general location and let them view your general location. When the servant has intents of betrayal or disobedience the brand will activate.
To bind someone to you as a servant you must place a brand somewhere on their body.
Branded servants will receive stat bonuses depending on the level of the brand.

After my not-so-slight emotional breakdown from being hounded by that GODDAM SPICY TOFU. I went to the Student Council room to meet with Kobayshi. Surprisingly, she was alone.
After a bit of normal chatting, she invited me to a game of chess as we talked and I agreed. After a bit of playing, she finally showed me why she called me here.
"I will be honest with you. Shadow, will you join the Student Council?" Kobayashi said with a serious glint in her eyes as she interlocked her fingers. If this was just about recruiting me then why get me alone?
"No, as I have said before I am not interested to join at the moment." I remember telling her this before but I guess she's just really stubborn. But still, Kobayashi did not look discouraged at the least.
"Are you sure about that? Everybody has a price. And if you join the Student Council you will be able to skip classes as you please, not to mention jutsu scrolls and all the power of being a member of the council." She said giving a charming smile.
I shook my head and moved my bishop, threatening her rook. Kobayashi may be good at chess in a normal setting but here is the thing.
I also am good at chess. In fact, I used to play chess quite a bit in my past life on my phone to pass time. Good enough to be considered bottom Category A(1800) if I spent enough time and effort even.
That was without superhuman specs now with my current intelligence I could be considered around a Master rank. Although Kobayashi was certainly good at chess at around high A(1950-ish) I had a heavy edge over her.
She might have been able to mop the floor with me in my past life in chess but who said things had to be fair?
"Even still, I do not plan to join any club especially with the exams coming up."
"Really? Everybody has a price. What do you want? Money? Fame? Protection?" She listed off as she moved her pawn forward to take the piece I "blundered". Before she paused.
"Women?" Suddenly I felt her leg bump against mine. Was this the real reason she wanted us alone?
"You know, I'm well aware of your special 'bonding' time with both Suzume and Rihoko" She said with a sure grin making me blink in suprise as I moved my queen.
"You know?"
She rolled her eyes "Almost everyone on the council knows that you and Rihoko have something going on" She said with a smile "But I'm sure that they're other girls that'll like to know what you're packing in your pants that got Rihoko so addicted"
That's a... bold attempt. She is basically offering up the girls in the academy to me which is very tempting.
But even if I am horny I would also have to be retarded to take this offer. Who says I can't add them to my harem regardless? While I initially may have considered it somewhat of a joke I wanted to make progress in the harem king questline and the affection rewards were plenty good enough.
Why would I make an attempt otherwise?
"I'm sorry but while the attempt is tempting. I will have to refuse. I am always open to contracts though." Hearing my refusal once more Kobayashi looked befuddled but I didn't give her a chance to rebuke me as I stood up and made my way over to the door.
Just as I placed my hand on the doorknob I heard Kobayashi speak.
"Why would you refuse?" She seemed genuinely confused.
"Well, as tempting as the offer is I value my freedom." Though she seemed to accept the answer I couldn't help but add on as I turned to her slightly and lowered my sunglasses a tad before shooting her a charming smile.
"Though... I might've had to reconsider if you were included." Hearing my words she went beet red as the meaning of my words sank in before I hurriedly escaped to let her brew on her own.
