Fire of the Rebellion
Chapter 30: A Princess on Lothal
In space, three Hammerhead corvettes dropped out of hyperspace and are intercepted by a light cruiser.
Inside one of the Hammerhead corvettes, Maybelline stood next to Princess Leia as the Imperial Lieutenant Yogar Lyste contacted them.
Maybelline wore a long blue dress with a dark blue trim and lighter blue sleeves that reach the cuffs with the same dark blue trim and a dark blue stripe in the middle of the forearm. She also wore a gold hoop belt. Her sandy brown hair was tied in a bun with a lily flower scrunchie on it.
"Attention, senatorial convoy."Lieutenant Lyste declared firmly."Your landing has been granted and fighters will escort you to the Jalath City Depot for processing. I'll see you there."
Maybelline watched silently as Leia responded to the imperial lieutenant.
"This is Princess Leia Organa."Leia stated."I look forward to it, Lieutenant. End transmission."
When the transmission ended, Leia smirked as she looked at Maybelline with a hint of excitement.
"Well, there's no turning back now, Aunt Maybelline."Leia remarked.
Maybelline smiled. "That's correct, Leia."
After arriving into Lothal's atmosphere, the three Hammerhead corvettes landed at the Jalath City depot for processing.
When their ships landed in the garrison, Leia and Maybelline stepped out together, only to see a trooper and cadet waiting for them.
But the Jedi Healer already knew the duo were Kanan and Ezra in disguise.
From behind his helmet, Ezra became surprised at seeing how strongly Leia resembled Lisa.
Though the major difference was Leia's hair was chocolate brown while Lisa's hair was dark blonde.
"Hey, excuse me."Ezra spoke up, looking at Leia."Uh, where's your commander?"
Leia let out a scoff at Ezra since he didn't seem to recognise who she was.
"Not much of a welcoming committee."Leia retorted.
Maybelline glanced at the kid princess.
"Be nice, Leia."Maybelline instructed before smiling at Kanan and Ezra."It's good to see you both again, Caleb and Ezra."
Kanan removed his helmet to look at one of his childhood friend from his days as Master Billaba's Padawan.
"You as well, May."Kanan responded."You don't need to call me by that name anymore."
"I don't see the harm of it."Maybelline said with a wink."That's who you are really deep inside."
Leia frowned and cleared her throat, earning Maybelline's attention.
"Kanan, Ezra, this is Princess Leia Organa. Senator Organa and Queen Breha's daughter."Maybelline introduced before introducing her comrades to the young brunette."Leia, this is Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger. They're from Phoenix Squadron."
Leia smiled lightly at Kanan.
"So you're the Jedi Knight that my lady-in-waiting here won't shut up about?"Leia assumed.
Maybelline blushed a bit and frowned at Leia.
"Leia-"Maybelline grumbled.
Kanan simply chuckled at Leia's respond.
Leia brought her attention to Ezra.
"I heard your transmission."Leia stated."It was inspiring."
Ezra became flattered by Leia's respond.
"Thanks, I-"Ezra started.
A frown suddenly appeared on Leia's face.
"And unless you want the deck officer to know, too, I suggest you put your helmets back on and keep your mouths shut."Leia declared sternly.
Maybelline covered her mouth to chuckle as she followed Leia from behind while Ezra glared at the Princess of Alderaan.
The brunette was an inch shorter and the exact age as him, but she had the right to boss him around because she was a princess?
"Excuse me?"Ezra questioned.
Kanan placed his helmet back on.
"You heard her."Kanan replied."Shut it."
Ezra frowned as he activated his cadet helmet's face plate to cover his face before following after Kanan.
Leia was as pretty as Lisa, but was more sassy than she was.
Leia and Maybelline went up to the deck officer, who was guarding their vessels with a stormtrooper scanning crew.
"Deck Officer, I'd like to start distributing my relief aid."Leia insisted.
"Stand by."the deck officer responded."My orders are to inspect the cargo for contraband and detain these vessels until the lieutenant arrives."
The deck officer glanced at his crew.
"Scanning crew, move out."the deck officer ordered.
When the deck officer and his stormtrooper scanning crew went away, Kanan and Ezra joined Leia and Maybelline.
"Well, this plan's off to a good start."Kanan said.
"As a matter of fact, it's going perfectly."Maybelline remarked."Where's the rest of your team?"
"They'll be here, eventually."Kanan answered.
A smug smile appeared on Leia's face.
"Good."Leia sneered."Then you can steal my ships."
This caused both Kanan and Ezra to become shocked at the young brunette's declaration.
"What?!"Kanan and Ezra questioned in unison.
The group noticed Lieutenant Lyste's shuttle landing in the garrison.
"I'll explain later. First me and my lady-in-waiting have to deal with the lieutenant."Leia declared firmly."Follow our lead and try and keep up."
Leia made her way over to where Lieutenant Lyste was with Maybelline following close by.
Ezra glanced at Kanan due to finding Leia's snarky behaviour annoying.
"Wait. Why does she get to give orders?"Ezra complained."I don't get to give orders."
Kanan smirked behind his helmet and simply tapped Ezra's helmet.
"Do you ever listen to yourself?"Kanan asked playfully.
"Yes and I happen to be very interesting."Ezra informed.
Kanan and Ezra followed Leia and Maybelline from behind as the kid Alderannian Princess and her lady-in-waiting met Lieutenant Lyste.
"You must be Leia Organa, Princess of the Royal House of Alderaan."Lieutenant Lyste said.
"And aide to my father, Senator Bail Organa."Leia added.
Lieutenant Lyste glanced at Maybelline.
"And you are-"Lieutenant Lyste started.
Maybelline lowered her head a bit at Lieutenant Lyste.
"I'm Yelena Belova."Maybelline answered in a firm yet gentle tone."I am Princess Leia's lady-in-waiting."
Lieutenant Lyste gave Maybelline a small nod.
"I come with relief supplies for Lothal's needy, who are suffering terribly as a result of the rebel insurgency here."Leia declared."Surely you don't want innocents to starve."
"No, of course not."Lieutenant Lyste answered, acting as he cared about the needs of Lothal's citizens."Lothal has indeed suffered, as has Alderaan. From what I hear, your ships have an unfortunate habit of falling into rebel hands. I assure you, that won't happen on my watch."
The moment Lieutenant Lyste said that, several stormtroopers began attaching devices to the fronts of Leia's ships.
"What's that?"Ezra whispered.
Maybelline bit her lip at the extra security while Leia frowned at Lieutenant Lyste.
"Gravity locks?"Leia questioned."This is hardly necessary."
"I insist."Lieutenant Lyste responded.
Then an extra detachment of stormtroopers appeared around the area.
A Gozanti-class cruiser then flew in and deposited two All Terrain Armored Transports as the final piece of Lieutenant Lyste's extra security.
Both Maybelline and Leia shared a look with each other, neither of them were expecting much extra security.
"Plus a trooper detachment and for extra security Walkers will guard your ships from the rebel insurgency."Lieutenant Lyste stated."All for your safety, miss."
Leia glared at Lieutenant Lyste.
"It's 'Your Highness'."Leia retorted firmly."As my ships are detained, I will require your shuttle to begin my work."
"Oh? Um, my shuttle?"Lieutenant Lyste asked."Certainly I could arrange for other transportation."
"Excuse me, Lieutenant."Maybelline spoke up with a frown."If the princess wants your shuttle, you would be wise to accept her demand."
Lieutenant Lyste gave Maybelline a small glare.
"Yes. Your shuttle."Leia agreed."I need to leave immediately."
Leia glanced at the disguised stormtrooper and cadet.
"You two, bring those supplies and escort us to the trauma area at once."Leia ordered.
"Yes, ma'am."Kanan answered, disguising his voice."Right away."
Kanan and Ezra then shuffle behind the two large crates and began pushing them, following after Leia and Maybelline.
They all boarded Lieutenant Lyste's Sentinel-class landing craft and quickly took off from the garrison.
Inside Lieutenant Lyste's Sentinel-class landing craft, Kanan sat in the pilot's seat of the shuttle while Leia sat in the copilot's seat.
Ezra and Maybelline both sat in the chairs behind them.
Both Kanan and Ezra removed their helmets.
"I hate to say it, but whoever came up with this plan severely underestimated the Empire's security."Kanan declared.
A sad guilty look appeared on Leia's face.
"I'm sorry."Leia apologised.
"Don't be."Kanan responded, looking at the young brunette."It's not your fault."
"Yes, it is."Leia complemented."This was my plan."
"We need those ships."Ezra stated."Why didn't you just hand them off to us in deep space?"
Maybelline frowned at Ezra.
"You don't understand. It's not that simple."Maybelline stated."If the Empire could prove Alderaan provided ships to the rebels, we'd lose our seat in the Senate and be charged with treason."
"But if they're stolen on a planet controlled by the Empire Alderaan would be blameless."Kanan added."Have to admit, that was a good plan."
A slight firm appeared on Leia's face.
"Well, now we need a new one."Leia commented.
Suddenly, the group received a distress call from Chopper.
"Yeah, what is it, Chopper?"Ezra questioned.
Chopper beeped at the group.
"Stormtroopers?"Ezra said in confusion.
Upon arriving to Ryder's hideout, the group find a group of stormtroopers arresting Ryder and Chopper.
Leia glanced at Kanan and Ezra.
"Friends of yours?"Leia assumed.
"Not for much longer, by the look of things."Kanan stated with a frown.
"What are we going to do?"Leia questioned.
"This time, you follow my lead."Kanan insisted.
Kanan and Ezra placed on their helmets before heading out of Lieutenant Lyste's Sentinel-class landing craft with Leia and Maybelline following them from behind.
"This is a secure site."the stormtrooper commander declared."State your business."
"I'm taking the princess ambassador and her lady-in-waiting here on a scouting mission for possible refugee relocation."Kanan stated.
"This is not a safe area for you."the stormtrooper commander informed."There's a high level of rebel activity happening at the moment."
"Well, we're finishing our survey."Kanan commented."We could take these prisoners back to Jalath for you."
"That won't be necessary."the stormtrooper commander admitted."We have orders to terminate one of them immediately."
This caused Leia, Maybelline and Ezra to become alarmed.
"Hold on, trooper."Leia instructed as she stepped forward."As a representative of the Senate, I demand to know what this man has done."
"He's a fugitive from an Imperial prison."the stormtrooper commander exclaimed."Now, depart immediately for your own safety."
Maybelline glanced at Ryder.
"He looks harmless."Maybelline said in a gentle yet firm tone.
"Don't be sure on that, madam."the stormtrooper commander stated."Where you find one rebel, there are usually more."
Chopper suddenly started spinning around wildly, signalling to Kanan and Ezra that their friends were close.
"Chopper's receiving a signal."Kanan murmured.
"You know what that means."Ezra whispered."Hera's here."
On cue, the Ghost appeared and started shooting at the Imperial transports.
While close to Kanan and Ezra, Maybelline quickly placed Leia in a protective embrace, making the young brunette become a bit embarrassed.
"Your friends sure know how to make an entrance."Maybelline praised.
"Yeah, I'm a likeable guy."Kanan answered.
When the ramp of the Ghost lowered, Zeb and Sabine disembarked and a firefight begins.
Chopper rolled toward the Ghost.
"No, you can't come on board!"Sabine retorted."You have to go get the Phantom! Get moving!"
Kanan grabbed Ryder and pulled him behind a toppled Imperial Troop Transport, along with Ezra, Leia and Maybelline.
"Your friends might shoot you wearing that armour."Ryder warned.
"That's not a bad idea, Governor."Kanan praised."Take the princess and her lady-in-waiting hostage."
"What?"Ryder said in surprise.
"If we're seen escaping with you, we'll be labeled as traitors."Leia admitted."You have to take me and Aunt Meibe prisoner."
Maybelline smirked at Ezra.
"Well, you better tell your friends to make it look good."Maybelline sneered.
"I'll warn Sabine."Ezra declared.
Ezra signalled Sabine to let her and Zeb know the stormtrooper and cadet on their left were their fellow rebels.
Ryder shoved Kanan onto Ezra, then grabbed Leia by the wrist and they ran for the Ghost.
"Help! Help!"Leia cried out, pretending to be afraid."Commander!"
The stormtrooper commander took notice and aimed his blaster at Ryder, only to be stopped by Kanan and Maybelline.
"Don't fire!"Maybelline panicked, acting like a harmless damsel in distress."They have the princess!"
"Hold your fire!"Kanan demanded while stepping in front of the commander before charging after them with Ezra following."She's my responsibility! I'll get her back!"
As Ryder boarded the Ghost with Leia in tow, Katooni, Kanan and Ezra dash for them, before Zeb steps forwards with a smirk on his face, and brings out his bo-rifle.
"No, Zeb wait, easy!"Kanan protested.
Kanan was then hit in the gut and chest, knocking him unconscious.
"Zeb!"Ezra scowled."That's Kanan!"
Ezra was then knocked out cold from a blow to the head by Zeb.
"I know."Zeb remarked in amusement.
Zeb then dragged the unconscious duo onboard the Ghost.
Maybelline attempted to take out her Kueget LN-21 blaster pistol to shoot Sabine, only for the daughter of Countess Wren to twist her arm before dragging her into the Ghost.
"Release the princess, rebel scum!"Maybelline demanded angrily.
"No can do."Sabine scoffed.
Two of the fighting stormtroopers are surprised and wonder if the rebels were now starting to take prisoners.
"They're taking prisoners?"A stormtrooper asked.
"They do that now?"A second stormtrooper questioned.
The Ghost then flew away from the stormtrooper crew.
Chopper, piloting the Phantom, destroyed Lieutenant Lyste's shuttle and then followed the Ghost.
Aboard the Ghost, Kanan and Ezra, upon waking up, were not happy with Zeb for hitting them so hard.
"Kanan! Wake up! Kanan!"Zeb remarked."How's your face?"
Kanan glared at Zeb.
"Why did you hit me?"Kanan scowled.
"What?"Zeb chuckled."You had a helmet on."
Ezra groaned as he slowly rubbed his chin that still hurt from Zeb's punch.
"Did you have to hit us so hard?"Ezra complained.
"Hey, you wanted it to look good."Zeb reminded.
"Where's the princess and May?"Kanan asked.
"In the cockpit with Hera."Zeb responded.
Back in the garrison, Lieutenant Lyste was notified that Leia and Maybelline were kidnapped by rebels.
"Yes?"Lieutenant Lyste asked.
"Sir, my squad was ambushed by rebels."the stormtrooper commander reported."They escaped with the fugitive Ryder Azadi."
"What?"Lieutenant Lyste said in disbelief.
"They also abducted a cadet."the stormtrooper commander added."Along with some young girl that said to be a princess ambassador and her lady-in-waiting."
This caused Lieutenant Lyste to become shocked.
"They're under our protection!"Lieutenant Lyste retorted."Deploy search patrols now!"
Inside the Ghost, Maybelline spoke with Leia as Hera and Ryder walked past them in the ship's cockpit.
"You see?"Maybelline responded firmly."That is why I am not fond of taking you into rebel alliance themed missions, Leia. You could've gotten hurt."
Leia let out a scoff.
"Aunt Meibe, you don't need to be so worried about me."Leia reminded with a frown."You are beginning to sound like Uncle Ferus. So overprotective and paranoid."
Maybelline smirked at Leia.
"If your uncle heard you say that he will get angry."Maybelline reminded.
Leia smirked. "I know."
Both Maybelline and Leia then noticed Zeb and Sabine comforting Ezra over the loss of his parents.
"We heard what happened."Zeb said with an apologetic look."Sorry, kid."
"Hey, at least now you know."Sabine commented.
"Yeah."Ezra answered, trying his best to be strong."I guess I just need some time."
Ezra then left his friends before walking past Maybelline and Leia to go off to the nose gun to be by himself.
Kanan went next to Maybelline and Leia.
"Is he okay?"Leia asked.
"He's fine."Kanan responded."He just lost some people close to him."
A sad look appeared on Maybelline's face.
"I've heard that Ephraim and Mira Bridger were killed during the recent prison break in one of the Imperial cells."Maybelline admitted."I was shocked to have discovered that they were Ezra's own parents."
Kanan nodded in understanding.
"It's a challenge being his age with so much responsibility."Kanan said.
Leia let out a troubled sigh.
"I know that feeling."Leia declared.
Kanan placed a hand on the young brunette's shoulder.
"Maybe he could use a friend."Kanan suggested.
Maybelline smiled. "That usually helps."
After receiving a nod from Maybelline, Leia made her way to where Ezra was and saw him looking at the holo-image of himself as a young kid with his late parents.
"You know your transmission was really inspiring."Leia admitted."It made me want to do more good outside palace walls. The same with my Aunt Meibe."
"Yeah? My parents heard it too."Ezra stated sadly."But they're gone now."
An apologetic look appeared on Leia's face.
The young teenage princess understood Ezra's pain despite never having had met her own birth parents.
"I'm sorry."Leia apologised.
"It's just there's so much against us."Ezra declared."Do you ever wonder-"
"If this fight is even worth it?"Leia finished."Every day. But I'm still here."
Ezra glanced at Leia.
"But you're a princess."Ezra reminded."You don't have to risk your life doing this."
A small smile appeared on Leia's face.
"I feel like because I can fight, I have to for those who cannot."Leia remarked."And I think you might be the same way."
Ezra looked at the holo-image of his deceased loved ones before going his seat and picking up his cadet helmet.
"Let's figure out a way to get your ships."Ezra suggested.
Ezra then left the nose gun causing Leia to silently follow after him.
The young teenage kids made their way to the passenger lounge where they saw the rest of the group figuring a plan to get the cruisers, given the increased security.
"We did a scan of the landing field, and looking at the Imperial security, I just don't see us living long enough to get near those ships."Sabine exclaimed.
"Two walkers are a big problem."Zeb informed.
Kanan let out a sigh.
"Even if we reach the ships, they're not going anywhere until we can disable those gravity locks."Kanan stated.
"Those defences are formidable."Leia informed as she stepped forward to hologram image of the cruisers."Why? Because the Empire doesn't underestimate you. They know how good you are."
"We might be able to get one out, but we'll never get all three."Kanan said."It's impossible."
Maybelline folded her arms.
"Well, I've known you as one not to ever give up."Maybelline commented."No matter how hard a mission could be, Caleb."
A smug yet confident smile appeared on Leia's face.
I know you need those ships, so don't tell me why we can't get them."Leia remarked."Tell me how we will."
Ezra stepped forward while holding his cadet helmet.
"Well, Kanan and I still have our disguises, so we can get onto the platform."Ezra stated."But to get close to the ships, we'll need a distraction."
"Me and Aunt Meibe can handle that."Leia suggested.
Maybelline gave Leia an approved smile.
"The Ghost can act as air support."Hera said.
Sabine held a detonator in her hand.
"And I can use detonators to blast off the gravity locks."Sabine insisted.
"Won't work."Ryder declared with his arms folded."You can't forcibly remove the locks."
Hera raised an eyebrow at Ryder.
"You know this how?"Hera questioned.
"In prison I put those locks together, so I know how to take them apart."Ryder explained.
Kanan gave Ryder a smirk.
"Ryder Azadi, does that mean you're getting involved?"Kanan asked with a hint of curiosity.
"Just this once."Ryder replied."It's clear I can't stay on Lothal, so I'll help you, if you get me outta here."
At the garrison, Lieutenant Lyste and his soldiers see the Phantom touch there.
"This is the rebel ship we've been looking for."the deck officer stated.
"Set weapons for stun."Lieutenant Lyste ordered.
Lieutenant Lyste had the stormtroopers put their guns on stun in case rebels were aboard, only to be met by Leia and Maybelline accompanied by Kanan and Ezra in disguise.
Maybelline scoffed. "What is this?"
"I'd think you'd be pleased to see us safe and sound, Lieutenant."Leia said with a frown.
"Of course, Your Highness and Lady Belova."Lieutenant Lyste remarked and lowered the deck officer's blaster down."Very pleased. Just, um, surprised."
While Lieutenant Lyste and his soldiers were distracted, Ryder, Chopper and Sabine disable one of the gravity locks.
Leia pointed at Kanan, who was behind her and Maybelline.
"This brave trooper saved us both from those rebels."Leia sneered."He deserves a medal."
"Indeed, my lady."Maybelline agreed kindly.
Sabine goes inside to pilot the cruiser, signalling for their air support while Ryder and Chopper move on to the next one.
Maybelline glanced at one of the moving cruiser as a small disapproved look appeared on her face.
"As you can see, your ships are safe and sound right where you left them."Lieutenant Lyste commented.
"If you're trying to impress me, Lieutenant, you're doing a miserable job of it."Leia retorted.
"What do you mean?"Lieutenant Lyste said in confusion.
A look of disbelief appeared on Maybelline's face while Leia pretended to be angry.
"You don't know?!"Leia scowled.
Leia pointed at the hovering cruiser causing Lieutenant Lyste to turn around and become shocked at the moving ship.
"I didn't authorise this!"Lieutenant Lyste said."Who's piloting that ship?"
The stormtroopers see Ryder and Chopper disabling a gravity lock.
"Sir!"the deck officer warned."Rebels!"
"Blast them!"Lieutenant Lyste ordered.
The stormtroopers began firing at Ryder and Chopper.
In response, Sabine, piloting her corvette, fired on the troopers, knocking them over.
Kanan and Ezra then knock Lieutenant Lyste and his two soldiers out cold.
Maybelline and Leia simply shared a smirk with each other at what they just witnessed.
"Sabine's away."Kanan declared."Let's get outta here."
A nervous look appeared on Ezra's face.
"I'm not sure we're going anywhere."Ezra informed.
One of the AT-ATs attacked the ship and the Ghost swooped in and fired proton torpedoes at the walker, temporarily disabling it by causing it to kneel.
However, the AT-AT got back to its feet, preparing to fire at Ryder and Chopper.
Kanan glanced at Ezra.
"Secure the third ship."Kanan ordered."I'll handle the walker."
Kanan rushed to attack the AT-AT walker, making Maybelline smirk while Leia was clearly confused.
"Handle the walker?"Leia questioned in confusion."How?"
"Just trust us!"Ezra instructed."Go!"
Ezra, Leia and Maybelline went away from the fight scene.
"Any idea what your Jedi Knight is up to, Aunt Meibe?"Leia asked.
"Just wait and see, Pad-I mean, Leia."Maybelline assured.
Ryder saw a stormtrooper running towards him and prepared to fire, but Chopper saw Kanan pull out his lightsaber and stopped Ryder.
"Unlock that ship!"Kanan ordered.
Kanan ignited his lightsaber, to Ryder's considerable surprise.
"He's a Jedi!"Ryder murmured in surprise.
Still in stormtrooper armour, Kanan charged the AT-AT and severed two of its legs causing it to topple.
Leia, witnessing Kanan's feat, glanced excitedly at Maybelline and Ezra.
It felt a dream come true to see a Jedi Knight actually fight in real life for the first time.
"Did you two see that?"Leia asked happily.
Ezra noticed two stormtroopers threatening Ryder and Chopper before looking at Leia and Maybelline.
"If you like that, watch this."Ezra insisted.
Ezra used the Force to pull the troopers' blasters from their hands.
He caught one, but the other hits him in the head.
Maybelline simply rolled her eyes at the sight before taking out her Kueget LN-21 blaster pistol.
"Rookies."Maybelline muttered.
"Get down!"Leia demanded.
Ezra ducked down as Leia grabbed the fallen blaster and helped Maybelline shoot the approaching troopers.
Leia smirked as she handed Ezra the blaster.
"That is impressive."Leia praised."Well, mostly."
"It was not bad."Maybelline admitted.
Ezra frowned. "Seriously?"
Maybelline suddenly lifted her free hand to use the Force to grab an approaching stormtrooper before knocking him out cold after bashing against a small building's wall.
Ezra was surprised while Leia grinned as she looked at Maybelline with a glimpse of excitement in her warm brown eyes.
"Whoa."Ezra murmured in awe.
"What else can you do?"Leia asked curiously.
"Patience is a virtue."Maybelline replied simply.
Ryder and Chopper successfully disabled the second gravity lock as Kanan rushed to them.
"She's all yours, Kanan."Ryder informed.
Kanan removed his helmet.
"Two down, one to go."Kanan declared.
The Ghost continued to harry the other AT-AT, but was having little effect.
Leia and Maybelline noticed at the approaching imperial transport before looking at Ezra.
"We'll handle this."Leia assured.
Maybelline placed away her Kueget LN-21 blaster pistol as she and Leia went to join the imperial transport as stormtroopers came out of it.
"Thank goodness you've arrived."Leia stated."The rebels are stealing my ships."
"Please, hurry."Maybelline begged.
Realising that the rebels need help, Ryder goes aboard the third ship while telling Chopper to disable the gravity lock.
"AT-AT 36, you have new orders, shoot to kill."the stormtrooper commander reported."Repeat, shoot to kill."
This caused Leia and Maybelline to become shocked.
"What?!"Maybelline gasped.
"No, you can't!"Leia protested.
"I'm sorry, Your Highness. We can't let your ships fall into rebel hands."the stormtrooper commander declared."Destroy that ship now! "
Ryder gunned the ship's engines, straining against the gravity lock.
Once Chopper finished disabling the lock, Ryder used the corvette's thrusters to topple the second AT-AT.
Maybelline made herself hit the ground, pretending to have gotten hurt.
Ezra hurried up the ramp of Ryder's corvette and noticed Leia approaching him.
"Time for me to go."Ezra declared.
Leia grabbed Ezra's hands, pretending to fight with him.
"Wait."Ezra said in confusion."What are you doing?"
"Stop that rebel! He's stealing my transport!"Leia called out before glancing at Ezra to play along with him."Make it look good."
"Oh, we gotta make this look good."Ezra remarked.
Leia went off the ramp, telling Ezra to stun her to avoid suspicion.
"You have my permission."Leia encouraged.
Ezra smirked. "See ya later, Princess."
Ezra stunned Leia with his blaster as Lieutenant Lyste and the other stormtroopers regained their senses.
"The Princess!"Lieutenant Lyste shouted.
Maybelline opened her eyes and acted shocked of seeing Leia stunned before going to the young brunette.
"Your Highness!"Maybelline cried out.
Meanwhile, Chopper takes off with the Phantom, following the rebel ships.
Maybelline helped Leia as she gave her an apologetic look.
"I am so sorry, my lady."Maybelline apologised, her voice sounding filled with regret."I wasn't strong enough to stop them or protect you."
Leia dusted the dust off her clothes.
"It's alright, Matilda."Leia assured before glaring at Lieutenant Lyste."My ships. You lost my ships."
"I'm afraid so."Lieutenant Lyste replied.
"You should be afraid!"Leia snapped angrily."Just wait until I tell the Senate that the Imperial presence on Lothal is helpless against the rebels!"
This caused Lieutenant Lyste to become nervous.
"No, no, no. That won't be necessary."Lieutenant Lyste assured with a nervous smile."I-I assure you, Alderaan will be fully compensated for your lost ships."
"Fine."Leia replied, agreeing with the lieutenant's request."Oh, and I'll need your shuttle so me and my lady-in-waiting can return home."
"My shuttle. Right."Lieutenant Lyste agreed, offering Leia and her lady-in-waiting his ship, only to realise that it was gone missing."Uh, where is it?"
Leia frowned in disappointment while Maybelline covered her face in dismay.
"Lieutenant, did you lose your ship, too?"Leia questioned.
"I'll summon you another right away."Lieutenant Lyste stated.
Lieutenant Lyste and his stormtrooper squad left as Leia and Maybelline shared a smirk with each other.
The disguised Jedi Healer couldn't help but silently look forward to go back to Aldera City to tell Katooni, Zatt and Gungi of the adventure she had with Leia.
Even tell Hal and his family about it too.
