The screen starts off black. One by one, spotlights come on, revealing the three Rangers looking at the ground. They then lift their heads as the title Power Rangers: Paleo Force shatters through the remaining darkness above them.
Lights out.
Duncan, Brody, and Cooper stand together at the generic quarry, looking at their Zords and smiling.
No one's here.
Kenny is working on a circuit board with a robotic hand sitting on his desk. He grins as he taps the circuit board with a stylus, making the hand twitch.
Hear the silence.
Jane and Brody are together at the hospital, Jane bandaging Brody's leg.
Scent of fear.
All the heroic characters look up to the sky.
You start running.
The view moves up into space, where we see our main villains in their spaceship, followed by a close-up of each of them.
With mistrusting and skeptical eyes.
We get a shot of Cooper, Duncan, and Brody staring down an army of Shadows.
Are you haunted?
The three look at each other before nodding.
I call out.
One by one, they take fighting stances as they ready their morphers.
I'm counting on you.
The screen cuts to black.
Falling.
All three Rangers charge in slow motion as an explosion goes off in the background.
Is this the end of the line, and can we make it in time?
In a rotating shot, Brody slashes Shadows with his Carnage Sword, Cooper shoots them with his cannon, and Duncan blasts enemies with his Switch-Gun.
Falling.
CJ extends her arm, directing her Zords to charge forward.
My world is spinning around. I'm crashing into the ground.
Calios descends from space like a comet and, after landing, steps forward, slowly drawing his sword.
Falling.
Moses folds his arms as three silhouetted figures gather on either side of him.
Now I need you to see it's up to you and me.
The Paleo Force Megazord shifts into sword-and-shield mode. It slashes a monster, then uses its Cryo Slash on it, making it explode.
I'm counting on you.
Consecutive shots of Cooper doing a Ranger Punch, Duncan doing a Ranger Slash, and Brody doing a Ranger Kick at the screen.
Cut to the end of the song as the music fades out.
The Rangers stand confidently in front of their respective Zords, who roar behind them as the screen fades to black again.
Calios clapped his hands, "Well, now that was an interesting two days! Shame our guy is dead now."
"Eh, it was good while it lasted," Lensia commented.
"I shall prepare the next monster for deployment," Factoraze reported.
"Save that for later," Calios stopped him. "I have a different idea for what we can pull."
In the generic quarry, the team shoveled the last of the dirt onto the grave they'd dug.
"I just helped bury my own dead body," Jane commented. "This might haunt me a while."
"Let's just try looking on the bright side," Carl said. "For example, we now have her morphers."
"Huh, now that I think about it, how did she have two?" Brody wondered as he held the bracelets in question. "We found four, and we're currently using three of them."
"Well, our enemies are sci-fi villains from space so, wild guess, they made an extra?" Duncan shrugged.
Cooper grinned, "Well, two more morphers, and we got two candidates on the team. Who wants what?"
"I call the black bracelet," Jane said before rubbing her hands together, "I wanna make my enemies cower in the face of pure darkness." She paused when she saw everyone staring at her. "What?"
"Okay, then I get the red morpher," Kenny said. The two teens put on their new morphers.
"Any special trick for this?" Jane asked.
"Nope, just tap it," Brody answered.
Kenny struck a pose and yelled "Henshin!" while Jane just casually tapped her morpher. In a flash of light, the two were wearing their new Ranger suits. Jane, unsurprisingly, looked exactly like Dark CJ, while Kenny's suit matched his more masculine build and lacked a miniskirt.
"Lookin' good, you two," Cooper nodded. "Now, let's get you used to those powers of yours."
"Tap your buckles to summon your weapons," Brody added.
The two new Rangers did so. A red, Rex-shaped gauntlet appeared on Kenny's right hand while a black one appeared on Jane's left hand.
"Shooting stuff out of them is easy," Duncan smiled. "Just focus your energy and 'Boom!'"
Kenny and Jane looked at each other and shrugged. They pointed their gauntlets forward and focused like Duncan said, causing the weapons to glow.
Duncan, Brody, and Cooper all ducked under the resulting blasts. "Not at us, dude!" Duncan yelled.
Jane chuckled awkwardly, "Sorry, got caught up in the moment."
"Well, at least you've got the basics down, and we already know you can fight," Cooper said as he and the Branson brothers stood up. "Now we just gotta get those Zords CJ used under control."
Everyone nodded. As they made their way to the city, however, they started feeling a rumbling.
"Uh, Chazz?" Duncan asked into his morpher. "Did you and the others decide to go for a power walk in town?"
Chazz's answer was exactly what they all feared, "That's not us."
Cooper kept driving while Duncan guided them where the tremors were. When they got to the scene, just west of the town square, Cooper jerked to a stop to avoid getting stepped on by a black and purple foot.
Todd and Andy roared as they knocked over another building.
The team got out of the car. However, before they could take a step forward, a crimson flash burst in front of them.
Lensia, Factoraze, and Moses stepped out of the light first. They stood aside as a silver knight came forward last.
"Hello, Rangers!" the knight greeted cheerily. "I don't think we've formally met. I'm Calios."
Brody's eyes widened, "Wait, you're the big boss who's been sending monsters out?"
"That's-a-me!" Calios bragged. "And, sorry to say, you guys aren't getting to those Zords unless you get past us."
Brody looked back at the rest of his team, "You guys know what the plan is?"
"You guys fight while Kenny and I get to the big guys?" Jane guessed.
Brody nodded, "Yep."
Kenny pulled out his phone while Cooper and Duncan fidgeted with their morphers. The five of them morphed and charged, with the villains doing the same.
Duncan tried his luck against Factoraze. The two ran parallel to each other, shooting with their respective firearms. The White Ranger blocked with his shields while Factoraze simply tilted his head to dodge.
Seeing that the robot wasn't moving around very much as they fought, Duncan got in close, unfolding his Switch-Gun into its sword mode. He slashed, only for Factoraze to catch the blade. His next move was a punch, though he was shocked when Factoraze sucked his fist into his tube arm. "The fuck!?"
Having bound both his opponent's arms, Factoraze aimed his cannon arm at Duncan's chest.
The White Ranger could only gulp, "Oh boy." Next thing he knew, he was blasted through walls, skidding to a halt on the next block over.
Jane and Cooper took on Moses. Jane threw a snap kick followed by roundhouse kick, both with her right foot.
Moses blocked both kicks, only for Cooper to come up from behind and get him in a headlock.
"Get goin', lass! I'll hold him!" Cooper yelled.
Jane nodded and began running towards the two rogue Zords.
Growling, Moses reached around with his tail and strangled Cooper from behind, making him let go. The anthro Mosasaur swung his tail, throwing Cooper right at Jane, knocking her over.
The two Rangers got up and resumed their fighting stances. To their relief, roaring was heard, and the Cryo gang came in from Moses' left, knocking him to the ground and ganging up on him.
Jane smiled, only for Cooper to tap her shoulder.
"You see that?" he pointed.
The new Black Ranger followed his finger to see two figures approaching from the rooftops.
The duo leapt down, revealing themselves to be Bailey and Leopold. Bailey took a deep breath and let out a piercing scream, the force of which blew the Cryolophosaurs of off Moses. Not letting up, the Deadly Seas followed the Cryos to fight them elsewhere.
"So much for that," Jane moaned.
"We figured you guys might call in help, so we did the same," Moses groaned as he got up.
Cooper frowned under his helmet and summoned his cannon while Jane summoned her gauntlet.
Moses unleashed a water blast from his mouth, countering the beam of darkness from Jane's gauntlet. Cooper fired his cannon, but Moses mostly shrugged that off.
Jane's attack was overpowered, and she was sent skidding by the blast.
Cooper growled, "How can you take that so easily?"
"I'm a sea creature, you idiot," Moses grinned. "That shot of yours felt like an ankle slapper."
Seeing that his cannon wasn't the best way to go, the Pink Ranger stowed it away and raised his fists.
Revving up his drill sword, Brody let out a battle cry and thrust it at Calios, who blocked it with his shield. The Blue Ranger drew his Switch-Gun for a surprise shot but, next thing he knew, a cape flashed in his face.
Calios chuckled and reared back his free hand before punching Brody in the face. As Brody was reeling, the knight checked his shield. "Nice try. Maybe next time, you'll actually leave a mark." He paused as he felt the ground shake, "Huh, that's too much rumbling for just two Zords." Calios turned around to see all the Rangers' Zords approaching Todd and Andy. He raised a hand and fired a beam in front of them, stopping them in their tracks. Without looking back at Brody, he leapt away, yelling, "You're lucky I'm cutting this short so soon!"
The six heroic Zords' eyes widened as their greatest enemy landed in front of them.
"Well, long time no see," the knight greeted.
"Move aside, Calios," Carl warned. "We're stopping those other Zords."
"And what are you gonna do if I don't?" Calios asked smugly. "You forget you were losing the last time we fought?"
"Your minions are busy this time," Chazz pointed out.
"And we have friends now," Carl growled.
Calios nodded, "Fair points from both of you." He drew his sword, "I guess I'd better take this seriously."
Kenny went flying onto the next street over. He panted as he got to his feet and crouched behind a mailbox. Knowing what Lensia could do, he figured he'd have to hit her hard and fast if he wanted a chance at winning.
Unfortunately for him, Lensia wasn't in the mood for hide and seek. "Enough games," she flicked her wrist, unleashing a shockwave of crimson energy. The wave shattered the asphalt of the road and scattering anything that wasn't bolted down.
The Red Ranger yelled as he was sent flying again. He struck a wall headfirst and fell to the ground, limp.
Lensia walked up the fallen Ranger, "Don't tell me that's all it took to finish you."
Kenny twitched his head to face her from the ground, "No." He aimed his Biting Gauntlet at her. Lensia barely had time to raise a defense as the ensuing blast of fire knocked her back.
The witch clutched her wrist, seeing that her right hand had been burnt a little by the young man's flames. "Why you little-" she stopped when saw that, not only had Kenny run and hid again, but she sensed there was someone beside her.
"One-Inch Punch."
Had Lensia ducked even half a second later, G2 might've taken her head off. Instead, she only lost her hat to the attack. She aimed her glowing red hand at him.
G2 immediately flopped onto his back, a red burst happening where his chest had been a second ago. He raised his head and fired his eye beam, which was promptly blocked by a red screen from Lensia.
Lensia chuckled. She heard a noise behind her and figured it was Kenny, "Nice try." She snapped her fingers, freezing Kenny in an outline of red light. Spinning around to face the Red Ranger, she held her palm right in front of him and fired a crimson beam, launching him through wall.
"Master!" G2 called out. His shock/horror distracted him long enough for Lensia to blow his chest open, revealing his skeletal, metal frame underneath.
"Oh, my God, I think she killed Kenny!" Duncan observed.
"You bastard!" Brody shouted.
"Shit, G2!" Kenny rasped out as he got to his hands and knees. With much effort, he began unsteadily walking back towards the fight. He paused, though. In his current location, he could just take a straight shot to the two rogue Zords without having to worry about any enemies.
The Red Ranger wrestled with his choices. On one hand, this was a golden chance to get one of the Zords under control, but on the other hand, his friends were fighting the enemy bosses, so they'd likely need all the help they could get.
After ten, tension-filled seconds, he made his decision.
Duncan was knocked down once again. And this time, Factoraze launched a glob of black ooze from his tube arm, gluing him to the ground.
Factoraze aimed his cannon arm at the teen but paused. He turned around and caught Brody's hand by the wrist, stopping his sword mid-swing. Before the Blue Ranger could swing with his other sword, Factoraze hit him with a swift and efficient kick to the nuts.
"Hey, you can't hit Brody there! He needs that for when he and Jane finally plow!" Duncan protested.
"Not something you say out loud," Brody rasped from his spot on the ground where he'd curled up in fetal position.
Jane looked around. The team was being overwhelmed. Again. And they were no closer to restraining Todd and Andy. Getting desperate, she aimed her gauntlet at the sky, "Think fast!" She created a dome of darkness big enough to surround all present fighters.
With her dark powers, she could see in the dome clear as day. Figuring an extra Zord could help them out, she began running towards Todd and Andy. The villains were onto her, though, and she had to dodge stray jets of water, energy blasts, and bursts of red magic. Fortunately, she was able to dodge all the literal shots in the dark and got close to the red and black Zords.
"Oh no you don't," Calios muttered to himself. Getting close enough to the Zords meant Jane had left the dome, putting her in his sights. The knight backflipped over a thrust from Carl's drill tail and slashed, sending an arc of energy hurling toward Jane.
The Black Ranger leapt over the attack and held out her hand, her morpher glowing purple as it started resonating with Todd.
The Teratozord's eyes glowed and he stumbled sideways into Andy.
"Hey, watch it!"
Hearing a voice coming from Andy, Jane scanned over the red Appalachiasaurus and saw Kenny standing on his back. While a part of her wanted to ask when he got up there, she decided to focus on the task at hand.
The two Rangers focused their energy into their morphers. Todd and Andy roared as the spell on them began to break.
Lensia raised a hand to recast the spell, but this left her open to G2 tripping her feet out from under her.
Todd and Andy looked at each other and then to the Calios before launching a combined attack of fire and darkness.
Rather than trying to block such an assault outright, Calios wisely dodged it. "Well, so much for that. Alright, boys, pull back for now!" he ordered.
The rest of his crew nodded, with Lensia casting her teleportation spell.
With the Destruction Empire leaders gone, all eyes fell to the red and black duos.
Carl cautiously approached, "How are you two feeling?"
Todd and Andy looked at each other before Todd answered, "WE'RE FEELING GOOD AS NEW, BRO!"
Andy nodded, "YEAH, THANKS TO THE TWO BROS ON OUR BACKS!"
Everyone flinched at the two Zords' volume. Chazz asked, "Well, uh, those two 'bros' are part of our team, and since they're your new partners, you wanna join us too?"
"SURE THING, BRO!" Andy roared.
"YEAH, WE OWE THOSE GUYS FOR BRAINWASHING US, BRO!" Todd agreed.
'This is gonna take some adjusting,' everyone thought.
