It was weeks after the incident with Mrs. Dodds turning into some demon bat and still everyone had denied the existence of Mrs. Dodds.

When Percy was about to go to every student, asking if they knew a Mrs. Dodds, Alex stopped him to make sure he didn't look stupid…. or insane.

After that incident, Percy kept bugging for answers as to why he had a pair of guns as well as a sword. Since he did promise, Alex explained how demons existed and that he and his family were demon hunters.

At first, Percy didn't believe him but Alex pointed out how Mrs. Dodds wasn't human and may have been a demon herself, but she was unlike any other demons he had encountered. Percy couldn't fault his logic then and believed him.

So time passed, and as usual Alex divided his time between attending Yancy Academy and demon hunting, though thankfully he won't have to worry about school since the school year was coming to an end very soon due to the summer. Yancy Academy wasn't bad, it's just... Alex preferred being in the comforts of what he does best. Trying to be a demon hunter and maintain a normal life wasn't easy, especially when demons pop up at the most random of times because they smell Alex's scent and blood as a descendant of Sparda.

And God knows how much the demons despise Sparda for turning on them around two thousand years ago to protect humanity.

Another thing that Alex noted was the weird weather. It was not letting up whatsoever, which made Alex a little worried as the weather shouldn't be like that nearly every day. One night, a thunderstorm blew out the windows in Percy's dorm room. A few days later, the biggest tornado ever spotted in the Hudson Valley touched down only fifty miles from Yancy Academy. One of the current events they studied in social studies class was the unusual number of small planes that had gone down in sudden squalls in the Atlantic that year.

Alex couldn't help but wonder if this was a sign of the apocalypse. He once joked that maybe the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse had arrived, but deep down he really wasn't joking. He briefly wondered if this was a plot or buildup towards a big bad demon that was preparing to take over the world.

It happens like every two weeks.

Anyway, right now Alex was in Percy and Grover's dorm room, studying for their Latin exam. Grover had gone for a walk, so this left both boys alone with Percy struggling a little due to Dyslexia.

"Agh, this is impossible." Percy sighed as he buried his face into his hands.

"Dyslexia's not easy, Perce. Trust me, it was hard for me growing up." Alex said without looking up from his studying. "And even with my dad and aunts helping me, I still had difficult overcoming it."

Percy rolled his eyes before looking at his Greek mythology textbook. "How am I supposed to remember the difference between Chiron and Charon? It's exactly the same."

Alex sighed and looked up from his textbook. "Not really. Chiron is a centaur who trained heroes like Hercules, and he has 'i' in his name. Charon is the Ferryman who guides the souls of the dead into the Greek Underworld. He has an 'a' instead of an 'i'."

"You know what I mean." Percy huffed.

Alex rolled his eyes and closed his book. "Look, if that's much trouble, go and talk to Mr. Brunner. I'm sure he is still in his office and since you are one of his favourite students, I'm sure he will give you a few tips. I'll even go with you."

Percy thought about it for a second before saying, "Yeah, I think you're right. Let's go."

So Alex and Percy climbed the stairs of Yancy Academy to their Latin teacher's office.

As the two walked along the corridors where all the teachers' offices were located, they saw all of them were dim and dark except for one. When they got closer they saw M.r Brunner's office still had its light on meaning he was in and the door was left slightly open. Percy was about to walk in when the two over heard two voices.

A voice that was definitely Grover's said "... worried about Percy and Alex, sir."

Alex grabbed Percy, holding him back.

"... alone this summer," Grover was saying. "I mean, a Kindly One in the school! Now that we know for sure, and they know too—"

"We would only make matters worse by rushing them," Mr. Brunner said. "We need Percy to mature more. And Alex is mysterious. He's different from the rest."

Alex's eyes narrowed at that. 'Do they know i'm a Devil Hunter?'

"But they may not have time. The summer solstice deadline— "

"Will have to be resolved without them, Grover. Let Percy enjoy his ignorance while he still can. We'll keep Alex in the dark as well."

"Sir, they saw her... ."

"Their imagination," Mr. Brunner insisted. "The Mist over the students and staff will be enough to convince him of that."

'Mist?' Alex frowned.

"Sir, I ... I can't fail in my duties again." Grover's voice was choked with emotion. "You know what that would mean."

"You haven't failed, Grover," Mr. Brunner said kindly. "I should have seen her for what she was. Now let's just worry about keeping Percy and Alex alive until next fall—"

'THUD!'

Mr. Brunner stopped talking when Percy accidently let his textbook slip from his hands causing a loud thud to echo through the hallway. He was paying such close attention to the conversation that he did not realize it was beginning to slip from his grasp.

Alex quickly grabbed Percy and they ran back to the dorm.

Back in the hallway, Mr. Brunner spoke. "Nothing," he murmured. "My nerves haven't been right since the winter solstice."

"Mine too," Grover said. "But I could have sworn..."

"Go back to the dorm," Mr. Brunner told him. "You've got a long day of exams tomorrow."

"Don't remind me."

The lights went out in Mr. Brunner's office and the two left but as the two walked a strange clopping sound echoed.

When Grover entered the room he saw Percy studying for the exams and Alex listening to his iPod. "Hey guys." Grover said walking in and heading over to his bed as he put his crutches down to the floor beside the bed.

"Hello Grover."

"Hey there, G-man."

Alex and Percy shared a subtle look and Alex shook his head. Best not to question Grover now.

The next afternoon, both Alex and Percy were leaving the three-hour Latin exam both very mentally exhausted. The test itself had been far more difficult than they thought. The words on the paper just kept swimming around for them both, getting more and more jumbled. Despite all the late night studying they did, it did not help in any way.

Though Alex managed to do slightly better than Percy, it still was not a passing grade.

Both were slightly worried Mr. Brunner may have found out they were there last night listening to the conversation but both sighed when he just wanted to give them the results of their exams.

"Percy," He said. "Don't be discouraged about leaving Yancy. It's ... it's for the best."

Alex winced. Percy wasn't going to take this well.

"Okay, sir" Percy mumbled.

"I mean..." Mr. Brunner said wheeling his chair back and forth, like he wasn't sure what to say. "This isn't the right place for you. It was only a matter of time."

"Right," he said, trembling.

"No, no," Mr. Brunner said. "Oh, confound it all. What I'm trying to say ... you're not normal, Percy. That's nothing to be—"

"Thanks," Percy blurted. "Thanks a lot, sir, for reminding me." Percy then picked up his backpack and walked out.

"Perhaps I was a little too hard on him," Mr. Brunner said aloud.

"You just wanted him to be the best. What teacher doesn't want that for his student?" Alex said, getting a look of appreciation from Mr Brunner.

"And what about you, Mr. Redgrave? Will you be joining us again next year even with your part-time schedule?"

Alex shrugged. "Probably not. I got a bit of a busy life outside of this. Plus, I'd stick with Percy, keep him out of trouble since it always seems to find him."

Mr. Brunner smiled at him, "Its good to know he has a friend like you."

Alex waved Mr. Brunner goodbye before he returned to grading papers.

"So, you've got a job?" Alex asked his dad on the phone while sitting on the bus as it made its way to the bus terminal with many other kids from their school on board. The young Demon Hunter was on the phone with his dad, who had informed him that he had a job.

"Yeah, your aunt Lady brought it to my attention. It's about some cult called the Order of the Sword, based in the town of Fortuna. Apparently, they worshipped your grandfather as a god." Dante said, chuckling when he said that last bit.

Even Alex found it amusing. "Now that's ironic and hilarious. So how long will you be gone?"

"A few days at best, providing this doesn't take too long. I've phoned Sally, so you'll be staying with her until I finish the job and come pick you up." Dante said.

Alex sighed, a little upset he wasn't going with. But he didn't argue, much as he wanted to. "Okay."

"You take care of yourself, kid. You hear me?"

Alex snorted. "Dad, you know I can take care of myself. You did train me, after all. Though I think aunt Lady and aunt Trish had the better lessons."

"Oh, you cheeky little..." Dante grumbled playfully, making Alex laugh. Dante then chuckled as well. "I know you can, son. But still, take care and always watch your back."

"Got it." Alex nodded. "Take care, dad. Tell aunt Lady and aunt Trish I said the same for them."

"Will do."

With that, they said their goodbyes and hung up.

Alex looked at Percy. "Looks like I'll be staying with you for a few days. Dad's out on a job and he's already phoned your mom to let me stay at yours. "

Percy smiled and was about to say something when they noticed how Grover kept glancing nervously down the aisle, watching the other passengers. It occurred to both Alex and Percy that he'd always acted nervous and fidgety when they left Yancy, as if he expected something bad to happen.

"What's got him so rattled?" Percy asked.

"Let's find out." Alex suggested before he and Percy leaned over their seats to look at Grover.

"So," Percy said. "Looking for Kindly Ones?"

Grover nearly jumped out of his seat and had a look that made him look like he was having a heart attack. "Wha—what do you mean?"

"We overheard you and Brunner talking about something about a solstice deadline." Alex confessed, making Grover look even more anxious. "Spill it, Grov,"

"It was nothing. I was just telling Mr. Brunner that maybe you two were overstressed or something, because there was no such person as Mrs. Dodds, and…"

"Grover, you're a really, really bad liar," Percy pointed out, "Whenever you lie your ears go bright pink, just like they are now."

From his shirt pocket, Grover fished out a grubby business card. "Just take these, okay? In case you need me this summer."

The card was in fancy script, which was murder on Alex and Percy's dyslexic eyes, but they finally made out something like:

Grover Underwood

Keeper

Half-Blood Hill

Long Island, New York

(800) 009-0009

"What's Half—"

"Don't say it aloud!" he yelped. "That's my, um ... summer address."

Alex raised a brow. Grover had a summer home. He never considered that his family might be as rich as the others at Yancy.

"Okay," Percy said glumly. "So, like, if I want to come visit your mansion."

He nodded. "Or ... or if you need me."

"Why would I need you?" There was a smack as Alex struck Percy upside the head. "Ow! Why did you do that?!"

"Check your words next time, motor mouth." Alex retorted. He looked at Grover. "What are you not telling us, Grover?"

However before Grover could answer there was a huge grinding noise under them. Black smoke began to pour out from the dashboard and the whole bus filled with a smell that was a killer on Alex's heightened sense of smell.

'Ugh, and I thought demons smelled bad.' Alex thought with a grimace.

"Everyone out!" The bus driver called out, causing everyone to groan as he pulled over to the side of the road.

"What a pain," Percy said as the trio stepped out on to the road. Alex looked around to see they were on a country road —no place you'd notice if you didn't break down there. On their side of the highway was nothing but maple trees and litter from passing cars. On the other side, across four lanes of asphalt shimmering with afternoon heat, was an old-fashioned fruit stand.

The stuff on sale looked really good: heaping boxes of bloodred cherries and apples, walnuts and apricots, jugs of cider in a claw-foot tub full of ice. There were no customers, just three old ladies sitting in rocking chairs in the shade of a maple tree, knitting the biggest pair of socks Alex had ever seen.

He blinked at the sight. "What the hell?"

These socks were the size of sweaters, but they were clearly socks. The lady on the right knitted one of them. The lady on the left knitted the other. The lady in the middle held an enormous basket of electric-blue yarn.

All three women looked ancient, with pale faces wrinkled like fruit leather, silver hair tied back in white bandannas, bony arms sticking out of bleached cotton dresses.

The weirdest thing was, they seemed to be looking right at Percy.

Alex looked at Percy, who had noticed the old ladies, then looked at Grover to see him looking ready to panic for some reason.

"Nonononono," Grover muttered under his breath as a look of terror appeared on his face. "Tell me they're not looking at you Percy. They are, aren't they?"

"Yeah. Weird, huh?" Percy said in a disbelieving tone. "You think those socks would fit me?"

"I think they're made for Bigfoot or Godzilla." Alex joked, making Percy laugh.

"This isn't the time to joke. Come on let's get back on the bus" Grover said grabbing both boys' arms.

"Hey!" They both said before an audible snip could be heard. They looked over to see a giant pair of scissors cut the yarn that one of the elderly women were carrying.

"No no no," Grover kept muttering before they heard the bus shuddered, and the engine roared back to life.

The passengers cheered.

"Darn right!" exclaimed the driver.

"Everybody back on board," said the bus driver.

"Come on, let's get back on the bus." Grover encouraged, dragging the two boys with him.

When Alex and Percy looked back to where the elderly ladies were sitting they were surprised to see that the three old ladies had completely disappeared, leaving no trace that they were even there.

Alex frowned, wondering how they disappeared so quick, but for now he put it to the back of his mind as he got on the bus with Grover and Percy.

After an hour they finally arrived at the bus terminal. "I'm just going to the bathroom. You guys wait here," Grover said before he hopped off towards the bathroom. Once he was gone Percy gripped Alex's arm.

"We have to go. I have to get home and see my mom and Grover is freaking me out," Percy said.

"We can't do that to Grover. He is seriously worried." Alex said, trying to persuade Percy to reconsider.

"Look I know it's not right but I have to see my mom. All this weird stuff that has gone on with Mrs. Dodds and then those weird old ladies, I just want to go home."

Percy then went to the side of the street walk and waved his arm. As soon as he did a taxi pulled up.

"Goddammit." Alex sighed before he jogged after Percy and got into the taxi with him. The taxi drove off and headed towards the home of Sally Jackson.

Once the taxi drive was over and the two boys felt slightly bad about leaving Grover behind, Percy especially, they arrived at East One-hundred-and-fourth and First. There stood a relatively decent looking apartment complex.

Alex had been here a couple of times before and met Percy's mother, a nice woman named Sally who didn't mind when Alex would stay over sometimes. She was really nice and treated Alex almost like a second son.

The duo walked inside the apartment complex and made their way up the stairs lugging their bags behind them. Once they got to their floor they went to the front door and Percy opened it with his key. They were treated to a pretty stomach churning sight.

There was Gabe who looked like he had put on a ton of weight with his thin receding hair and bulging belly busting out of his greasy, dirty shirt.

"He looks like a fat walrus, but more ugly," Alex whispered to Percy and Percy had to hold back the urge to laugh, so he merely grinned.

Gabe was in the living room, playing poker with his buddies. The television was blaring with ESPN yet no one was actually watching it since Gabe and his buddies were more focused on playing their card game. Chips and beer cans were strewn all over the carpet; the place looked like it had not been cleaned in ages.

'Hmm, maybe I should get dad, or aunt Lady and Trish to stop by here and have a little chat with Gabe.' Alex thought with a smirk. His aunts in all but blood would totally kick the crap out of Gabe once they see what he's like.

When the two boys entered the living room Gave looked up from the cards in his hands and scowled slightly.

"So your back and you brought your punk ass friend with you again." He sneered.

"Oh, I missed you too, asshole." Alex said with fake sincerity, then it dropped. "Not."

"Shut it, you annoying brat." Gabe glared at him.

"Make me, fat fuck." Alex challenged, giving him a 'bring it on' gesture with his hands.

Before a fight could break out, Percy cut in. "Where's my mom?" He knew that Alex could handle himself in a fight very well, and he could also kick Gabe's ass without even trying, but he'd rather avoid having his home trashed. Gabe's friends were giving Alex the stink eye, remembering the times when Alex challenged them to their card games and took their money easily when he won.

Every time he played against them, he won.

Every. Single. Time.

Got him a lot of money as well, and he took enjoyment in leaving the walking buffoons with zero money.

In Percy's opinion, Alex could go into a casino in Vegas and walk around with a ton of money. He had the Devil's luck clearly, and that was both literally and ironically since he was the grandson of an actual demon.

"Working," Gabe said after glaring at Alex a little longer, before he eyed Percy. "You got any cash?"

"He just got in the door and you're demanding money off him? What are you, a bully in high school snatching money off smaller kids?" Alex remarked with obvious annoyance.

"Shut it, brat." Gabe looked at Percy again while Alex flipped the fat walrus off. "Well?"

"I don't have any cash." Percy told him.

Gabe raised a greasy eyebrow.

According to Percy, Alex had been told that Gabe could sniff out money like a bloodhound, which was surprising, since his own smell should've covered up everything else.

'I din't think he's had a bath in decades.' Alex thought with disgust, his nose wrinkling. Sometimes he hated having a good sense of smell, because he could not stomach the smell of Gabe, and the smell of his friends didn't help as well.

"You took a taxi from the bus station," Gabe said. "Probably paid with a twenty. Got six, seven bucks in change. Somebody expects to live under this roof, he ought to carry his own weight. Am I right, Eddie?"

Eddie, the super of the apartment building, looked at the boys with a twinge of sympathy. "Come on, Gabe," he said. "The kids just got here."

"Am I right?" Gabe repeated.

Eddie scowled into his bowl of pretzels. The other two guys passed gas in harmony.

"Disgusting." Alex sneered.

"Fine," Percy said. He dug a wad of dollars out of his pocket and threw the money on the table and it fluttered towards Gabe. "I hope you lose."

The two boys then turned their backs to the table and headed towards Percy's room.

They heard Gabe tell him not to act so snooty and call him 'brain boy', obviously taking a jab at the two for both being dyslexic and having ADHD. They could also hear Gabe's friends pass wind and small chuckles to be heard. It made Alex want to vomit.

Honestly. pigs were more behaved and well-mannered than them.

Entering Percy's room, Percy slammed the door shut and leaned against it as Alex took in the state of the room. During school months, it was Gabe's "study." He didn't study anything in there except old car magazines, but he loved shoving Percy's stuff in the closet, leaving his muddy boots on my windowsill, and doing his best to make the place smell like his nasty cologne and cigars and stale beer.

The half cigarettes and crushed beer cans were evidence of that.

"Okay, i'm seriously going to have my dad visit Gabe." Alex said with a scowl. "There's no way you or your mom can continue to live like this."

Percy exhaled as he sat down on the bed. "I don't even know what made my mom marrying a man like that in the first place. From what I can remember, he's always been like that."

"I doubt he was any less charming than he is now." Alex rolled his eyes as he heard Gabe and his friends laugh. "Smelly fat fuckers."

Percy snorted at that, grinning as Alex shot him a wink. Alex had always been the type to swear without being sorry for it, but only when the situation calls for it. He was a bit of a rebel sometimes, but always had a good head on his shoulders.

Suddenly, the voice of Sally Jackson cut through the silence. "Percy?"

The bedroom door opened to reveal Sally Jackson. "Percy." She hugged her son tightly "I can't believe it. You've grown since last Christmas."

Alex snorted. "Not that mu-oof!" He was cut off as he was pulled into a hug by Sally.

"Alex, it's nice to see you again." Sally smiled.

"Nice to see you too, Mrs. J." Alex grunted, a little caught off guard from her hug but he returned the embrace nonetheless.

"Your dad called, so I'm aware of you staying with us for a few days until he's finished with his work." Sally said, making Alex nod. "Now then, why don't we sit down and you two talk about how things have been going?"

Neither boy argued against that as they did just that, sans talking about the Mrs. Dodds thing as well as the three old ladies that they saw not too long ago.

From the other room, Gabe yelled, "Hey, Sally—how about some bean dip, huh?"

Alex scowled in the direction of the living room. "Asshole's about to get an ass kicking in a second."

"Just leave it, Alex." Sally smiled at the boy, then looked between the two with a frown. "Did something scare you?"

"No, mom." Percy lied.

Sally pursed her lips. She knew Percy was holding back, but she didn't push him.

"I have a surprise for you," she said. "We're going to the beach."

Percy's eyes widened. "Montauk?"

"Three nights—same cabin."

"When?"

She smiled. "As soon as I get changed. Alex, you'll be joining us."

"Um, w-what?" Alex blinked, caught off guard. "I mean... shouldn't it just be you and Percy?"

"You're more than welcome, Alex." Sally said, giving him a pat on the shoulder. Even Percy nodded in agreement. "Unless you'd rather stay here with Gabe."

"No." Alex said in a quick, deadpanned tone. He'd end up beating the hell out of Gabe as soon as they are gone and the police would wind up at the door.

Not that he wouldn't kill Gabe, no matter how tempting it could be sometimes. It wasn't how Alex worked, same with his father. They have a rule and that's to not use their weapons on humans. They were more of a pain in the ass than demons.

Gabe appeared in the doorway and growled, "Bean dip, Sally? Didn't you hear me?"

Percy scowled at him while Alex frowned disdainfully. "You've got legs. Clearly they work if you got off your big, fat ass. Go get it yourself, walrus."

"Shut it punk." Gabe growled at him. "I work too hard and I don't need some stray coming here telling me what to do."

"Work too hard doing what? Sitting on your ass and smelling like you bathed in the sewers?" Alex retorted, crossing his arms over his chest. "Yeah, because that's working hard, fat fuck."

Gabe took a threatening step forward. "What did you call me?"

Alex rolled his eyes, muttering under his breath about how the stupid have the intelligence of a dung beetle, before levelling Gabe with a look while talking to him as if he was a child that didn't understand him. "I called you fat fuck. Want me to say it slower so that walnut you call a brain can understand?"

"I was on my way, honey," Sally cut in, trying to diffuse the situation before it got out of hand. "We were just talking about the trip."

Gabe's eyes got small. "The trip? You mean you were serious about that?"

"I knew it," Percy muttered. "He won't let us go."

"Of course he will," Sally said evenly. "Your stepfather is just worried about money. That's all. Besides," she added, "Gabriel won't have to settle for bean dip. I'll make him enough seven-layer dip for the whole weekend. Guacamole. Sour cream. The works."

Gabe softened a bit. "So this money for your trip ... it comes out of your clothes budget, right?"

"Yes, honey," Sally said.

"And you won't take my car anywhere but there and back."

"We'll be very careful."

Gabe scratched his double chin. "Maybe if you hurry with that seven-layer dip ... And maybe if the kid apologizes for interrupting my poker game. And his stray friend apologies for insulting me."

'That tears it!' Alex thought with gritted teeth. He had officially hit the breaking point with Gabe and his shitty attitude.

"Hey Sally, why don't you and Percy go get ready? i'd like to have a little chat with Gabe. Won't be a minute." Alex suggested politely.

Both Jacksons looked hesitant, especially Sally. She knew Gabe would get physical if pushed the wrong way. But Alex gave them both a look that said he would be fine and Percy knew it to be true.

"Come on mom, Alex will be fine." He said, giving her a reassuring smile before the two made their way out of the room.

"You got something to say to me punk" Gabe asked, walking right up to Alex.

"First. Get some fucking tic tacs for that breath of yours." Alex said with disgust, waving a hand in front of his face. "Secondly... this!" He reared his fist back and drove it into Gabe's stomach, causing the man to drop to his hands and knees while clutching his stomach in agony.

"You little-"

"Shut it." Alex pushed the man onto his back with his foot, then crouched down to press his knee into his chest, giving the man a cold glare that has made people tremble in fear when they are given it. Alex never knew why... at least until his dad told him that he had his mother's glare, and she installed fear in everyone that earned her glaring. "Listen up, you fat piece of shit; Sally deserves better than you by a fucking long shot and I don't like the way you treat her. it pisses me off seeing a man treat a woman like this is the fucking 1800s when women were glorified housemaids or something. You better start respecting her and Percy a lot more, because If I ever hear from my friend about this attitude towards them continuing, I'm going to come back and pay you another visit... and it won't be a very pleasant one."

He stooped up and delivered a kick into Gabe's side for good measure, making the man wheeze in pain.

"Clear this apartment up. it's downright disgusting how you make her live in these conditions when it's her house. If you don't... well, you won't like the outcome." Alex threatened then walked over the groaning man and out of the bedroom, cleaning his hands.

For the next hour Alex waited in the living room as Sally got her stuff ready while Percy caught up with his mom in private. Gabe walked back in ten minutes later and was a lot quieter than before. He just sat down at the poker table and got on with the game, hardly saying a word and not daring to take a look at Alex who was watching him with the stare of a wolf. Gabe's self esteem had obviously taken a blow since he got beaten and threatened by a fourteen year old.

It was a little while later that Alex and Percy were loading up the car with Sally getting behind the driver's wheel. Gabe had not bothered to come out and see his car off, much to Sally and Percy's surprise.

When they looked back at Alex and saw the grin on his face, he just said. "We had words."

Sally was a little worried while Percy now had a shit eating grin on his face and mouthed "thank you" to Alex.

"Anytime." He mouthed back before he put his headphones on and began listening to some Metallica on his IPod.

The car drove off and now the trio were making their way to Montauk.

And that's it for this chapter everyone, let me know what you think in the reviews.

So, while my intent is to make this series pairing OC x Thalia, I may do a Silena x OC story one day... maybe bring back my Prince of Olympus story and go through with it.

All I have for that idea is this; Hera's pissed at Zeus for cheating on her after Jason is born, creatures a mortal aspect of herself to live in the mortal world, unaware that Zeus did the same. Their aspects meet, fall in love, marry and have a child which births to OC, Mathayus, but because he was born from mortals aspects he is born a demigod instead of a full-fledged God, and because they don't want him growing up ignorant or unaware of what he is, they leave him with Rhea until he's ready to go to Camp Half-Blood.
