All right, everyone in this chapter let the games begin
(night time) between the front desk lobby and the hall
The group was shocked to find out that their ways out of the end have been locked on the outside "hey what are you guys doing?" Orwen said as he and Joanna walked to them. Joanna said "don't tell me the four of you chickening out already" lief said "no but we are leaving we decided these games might not be for us after all so we just want to get out of rithmere and be on our way". Joanna said "well that's just too bad cause once you signed up for the game there's no backing out like it or not your all in it now so you better get used to the idea".
Jasmine said "you've gotta be kidding me" lief said "are you saying that just because we signed up for this thing we're prisoners now". Joanna said "for a little weakling you sure do have a big mouth kid" jasmine said "what do we do" orwen got in her face said "you could try sleeping you're gonna need all the rest you can get little girl nighty night" and patted her head.
Then the two walked away from our group laughing "amateurs" joanna said "no kidding" orwen replied when they left lief said "what do you guys think?". Barda said "I think we should go to our room for now I don't know about you three but I'm so tired I'm having a hard time thinking straight lets get some shut eye and whe we wake up maybe we'll be able to figur out how to get outta here". Jasmine said "that sounds good to me" lief said "your right in really beat to".
Cal decided to speak "why are on the subject I'm kind of glad with in this game" this surprised everyone "cal why are you kind of glad we're in this game?" Lief said. He answered "because I've been cooped up in my last home so long i need to get more physical exercise plus I absorbed new skills and leveled up never hurts to have a warm up exercise and perfect workout".
(night time) up the stairs
Everyone in the group walked up the stairs first lief,barda,jasmine then cal then jasmine and cal stopped turn their heads to look behind them and saw a shadow down the stairs that then disappeared. Lief said "what's the matter?" While he and barda turned and looked at them "did you two hear something" jasmine turned to them said "i'm pretty sure someone's following us".
Cal did the same said "yeah I agree with her my instincts are giving me a warning" barda said "with all the other competitors around this place is dangerous lets get to our room". Lief nodded and hummed in agreement following barda to their right jasmine and cal then followed them and then the shadow from down below the stairs appeared again.
Our group walked down another hallway "we're almost there guess we were worried about nothing" lief said then the lights went out. This surprised everyone "you had to jinxed us didn't you lief" cal said suddenly someone wearing a black suit, ran past them, causing some of them to say hey. Then the light came back on since the torches somehow became lit "he came out of nowhere" barda said "are you alright" lief said since Jasmine fell from what had transpired.
Jasmine said "huh i got him with my nails" while she was showing her nails "you scrached him?" Lief said "you bet I did no one attacks me like that and gets away with it and you know what just because someone would be cowardly enough to do that makes me wanna find the games tomorrow". Cal was pleased said "well said Jasmine whoever that was if he's or she's in the game, it'll be fun to wallop em".
Lief said "what but I thought we already decided that would be too risky" jasmine said "I guess I changed my mind" cal said "I never wanted to back out in this game anyway". Barda said "oh no" lief said "what's the matter?" Barda answered "that guy was quick enough to steal our room key he put this note in the same pocket the key was in" and he handed it to lief.
Lief took the letter read it "do not try to win tomorrow or you will regret it!" Lief said "he's hoping to scare us out of the competition before it even starts". Barda said "only a coward would do this" jasmine said "got that right whoever attacked us has made a big mistake cause now he's made me angry" cal said "yeah that's right i'm on the same page there".
(Night time) a guest room
We see a big bookshelf and a medium size drawer case in front of the door barda said "that oughta keep him out for the night". They're all tucked inside their beds except for cal who called baggy and hatter from their belt environment home. Lief said "should do it this could work out well i bet the guy who took our key thinks we're not going to be able to sleep cause will be scared something might happen during the night".
Jasmine said "no kidding he probably planned this so we be exhausted for the event tomorrow" barda said "well that's what he believes hes got another thing coming we're all gonna sleep like babies tonight". Barda continued "now that we know no one can get in" lief said "who ever went to all this trouble to scare us it's gonna be disappointed cause all it's done is make me even more determined to fight" jasmine said "are you guys agree with me? We're all going to stay and fight we gotta show who ever did this that they shouldn't of messed with us".
Barda said "tomorrow we're gonna show them all what we're made of" cal said "I can't sleep I've got some preparations to do in baggy soon as I'm finished I'll join you for a nap". Then he and hatter jumped into baggy he began with the help of his magic creating four potions of bowfish,rat,bat and eagle in the purple sphere. Cal then headed to the white training sphere he gulped down all four of them then after images of bowfish,rat,bat and eagle showed up behind him.
Cal gotten into his creature form and gained a few traits and the abilities of those animals he absorbed in his skeleton can compress like that of a rat. On the back of his head he got a fin from that of a bowfish giving him the ability to breathe underwater. For his back he got retractable wings that looked like bats with eagle feathers on the bone parts. Firt he tested out his flight capabilities amazing combination of bat and eagle then conjured up a big bowl of water, put his head and neck into it, and he was able to breathe in it. Then he made the water disappeared since the exercise was completed.
After he was done training, he returned to his human form, then headed for the exit got out of baggy put her on and dove up right into Hatter. Inside hatter he ate four of his apples and threw them in the compost file then he saw something wonders happened. His golems began to come to life each one saw him, baggy and hatter construct and on top each of the golem's head were engraved with the first letter of their names. After they had gotten to know each other he decided to harvest the crops on there backs so they gave him a fighting challenge and he end up, pulling up their cores leaving them lifeless.
Cal began harvesting the vegetables,herbs rotated the crops plant new seeds like the ones he just bought poured water with the buckets and ladle he got. Then began putting the golem course back in there her necks so thet will be revived again. After that hefot out of hatter placed him and baggy on the floor said "ok baggy and hatter back to natural habitats in the belt please" they have not in agreement and transformed into silver and gold orbs and went right back into the gold and silver belt around cal's waist.
He then decided to get in his bed next to jasmines bed snd called it a night he'll need all his energy for the big games. After cal went to sleep someone had walked to the front of their door the person of unknown origin inserted a key in the lock of their door and locked them in.
(Day time) champion inn
Morning had come a loud bell alarm had gone off mother brightly said "rise, and shine it's game day everyone". Our group had gotten up standing in front of the door jasmime tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge "what's going on I think the doors locked?!" Lief said " I should've know we were worried someone would break in". Barda said "so they got us in the end" cal said "don't worry we can't stay in here forever".
Jasmine satarted banging on the door said "hey is anybody out there somebody please open the door" then they heard someone unlocking the door. It was mother brightly everyone said her name and she said "i was quite worried when I didn't see you in the dining room and I looked for you everywhere so then i thought maybe the four of you accidentally slept in".
Lief said "well we didn't last night someone attacked us in the hallway stole our key and locked us in" jasmine nodded with her head, confirming. Brightly said "oh I am so ashamed this sort of thing happened in my inn it really is embarrassing I hope this won't upset your performance im very sorry".
Mother brightly bowed raised up and said "since I met you yesterday i've had such high expectations for the four of you" lief was glad to hear this. She said "i've told everyone I know that I think you'll be the final nine at the very least you cant let me down" lief said "but isn't to late for us to join the competition?".
Brightly said "not at all there's plenty of time quick come with me and I'll get you ready to go".
(Day time) mess hall
Everyone was sitting at a table eating their breakfast and mother brightly came him next to them with a pitcher "drink this it'll give you lots of energy,strenght and stamina". She poured the drinks into their drinking cups "i want you to show that devious enemy of yours that mother brightly's favorites are not to be trifled with all right, then bottoms up and good luck in the games" she then left.
Barda said "thank you its been a while since i've had queen bee nectar" he drank "ah delicious" he said then lief drank his said "wow that is good". Jasmine drank hers "ug disgusting" lief and barda laughed "you shouldn't drink the cider so fast you gotta enjoy it" he drank his cider to on the right level " heh hits the spot". Barda said "not quite to your liking Jasmine" she replied "no kiding how can you guys drink something that taste like that?".
(day time) rithmere Colosseum
The entire Colosseum was pact with fans, waiting to watch the games you could hear the roar and the cheering the fans were shouting. In the center was hexagon shape like that of a honey comb with the colors of red and white, the contestant surrounded were their choice of weapons are. "Good morning and welcome to the opening of this years rithmere games" man said our group ran and stopped to an opening "before we begin let me introduce joanna and orwen two of the championship contenders who pledge fair play on behalf all the competitors".
Jasmine said "are all these people going to be in it?" Mother brightly showed up out of breath said "you see we made it on time". Lief said "we sure did thanks very much for your help" brightly said "oh it was nothing at all i just need the four of you to prove that I wasn't wrong in helping you" lief said "we'll do our best".
"I hereby swear we the competers of the rithmere games will fight to the best of our abilities" orwen said while our group ran to the center. Orwen said "and we vow to honor the rules of fair play and goid sportsmanship" then the entire crowd cheered "as it has always been" he finished.
Our adventurous stood like every other competitor in the games soaking up all the cheers lief said huh. A tall man with white skin, black hair with a black mustache wearing black and gray vest with a long sleeve shirt and is having a blue tie spoke "now that the competitors have sworn to fight by the rules they will proceed to choose one of the following rithmere games regulation armament". "A mallot" blue ends one biggerand curvey red body looks like a worn to the nub pic ax " a trunjet" a white body staff with even look alike purple ends "or a shield" a hexagon shaped black shield with two pointed ends at top and botom with six green lines showing six black triangles. Man says "all other arms are prohibited" the competitors were checking out the weapons in the center of the ring that were on a weapon rack.
lief said "were gonna fight with these i've never even seen weapons like this" barda said "don't over think it lief just choose the one that feels most comfortable to you". Lief looked down and grabbed a mallet then practiced swinging it "think I like this one" lief said barda holds a shield practices with it said "the shield feels good to me". Jasmine said " and I think I'll choose this weird stick thing with the two purple ends" while grabbing it cal said "its called a trunjet jasmine and I'm making it my weapon of choice too" he grabbed another trunjet as well.
Jasmine and cal looked ahead they walked over to lief jasmine said "lief over there" they saw the same man they had saw at tims shop practicing with a shield. He looked behind him saw they were watching him "do you think he's the one that attacked us in the hallway last night" lief said. They both nodded Jasmine said "im sure its him" cal replied "were gonna face him soon enough".
All the competitors got ready to brawl "the rules of the games are simple at the dound of the gong everone will choose an opponent and begin the battle those who fall out of the ring or are no longer able to continue will be eliminated from the competition"man said. Man continues "the winners must continue fighting without rest until only ten remain endurance is the key in this competition and we have a special reward that we were reveal after we got a winner". He hairy arm man broke his tunjet while saying "piece of trash I have no use for it anyway my fists will do me just fine".
Speaker man said "competitors ready" everyone ready their weapons while brightly sat in a chair "oh enough already let the excitement begin" and someone hit the gong announcing start of the game. All competiters charged into the center of the ring lief and jasmine were at each others back "just don't let your guard down jasmine" lief said "forget about me you should be worried about the poor fools im gonna fight" Jasmine said then ran off.
A man attacked lief with a trunjet but lief dodged he then back hit the girl he saw the made him blush he turned around, realized who it is her weapon trunjet"what are you doing here?" Lief said. "Im here cause i have to be i've gotta bring some money back to my village" woman said "im sorry to hear that" lief said "don't be" she replied. Then she jumped up, twirled around and tried to slash at lied he dodged and she back flipped "wow you're a good fighter lets both hang in there and make it to the finals kay" lief said.
She smiled said "sounds good to me" and runs away to fight someone else meanwhile barda stands saying "I don't care who you are come on attack" he was talking to a random stranger. The stranger charged at him their shields clashed and bashed barda said "well you have a fine set of muscles there but I'll never lose to a young novis like you". From boy hood barda had trained as a palace gaurd, the most powerful fighting force in deltora. Barda then pushed his opponent away while walking forward his opponent ended up out of the ring "all right one down many to go" barda said brightly up top said "my that berry really is powerful".
Jasmine was running around looking for a specific opponent she said "alright where is he the one with the skar" someons said "that's enough". She looked to her left and saw the opponent she was looking for skar man defeated opponent "there he is" she said then someone got in front of her. It was a man "well this oughta be easy" jasmine said "go away I don't have time to bother with people like you right now". Small and slight as jasmine maybe none of the other competitors grew up in the wild like she did. As the guy backed jasmine to the edged he said "hehe were do you think your going huh" just the she felt the edge.
The man got close his weapons a mallet said "looks like there's nowhere for you to run heh" jasmine slammed her trunjet end on the ground. She then jumped on the other end and jumped on the mans head and back kicked his behind causing him to fall of the edge. Jasmine said "i tried to warn you but you didn't listen i've seen squirrels in the forest who fought better than you did" brightly then said "that girl is a delight to watch".
Lief battles someone it was a big guy holding a shield "hey little boy you wanna play" man said then the man charged at lief. Lief kept hitting the mans shield with his mallet both of their weapons kept clashing neither one of them backing down. Years of working and training with his father made Liefs muscles strong and his will hard, he learned to use his speed and wits to foil enemies far bigger then himself. The man looked tired he tried to slash at lief with his shield but lief jumped up and slammed his mallet on the guy's face knocked him down. Lief was saw the man lift his head "I surrender" man said "alright" lief said he saw orwen and joanna fighting then they noticed him.
Joanna said "well look at who we've got here I think it's time we sent this little runt packing" orwen said "oh yeah". Orwen walked forward with his shield while lief walked back "hey little boy ive got to hand it to you for making it this far". Lief thought 'I can't let him get a hold of me' and he remembered how orwen smashed a boulder with his head as he moved closer lief said "oh no I gotta act fast".
Then the furry armed guy roared next to liefs left and started to move closer to him lief had to move to his right orwen said "ah now who am I going to fight!?". Lief was backing away from the guy then the guy roared 'stay calmed I fought way scarier things than this guy' lief thought. Lief recalled the time he fought the evil guardians to three of the seven gems abd sorceress theagen then he charged at him and he charged back. Lief ended up sticking the big end of his mallet in the guy's mouth and then let it go he was having a difficulty getting that mallet out of his mouth "heh that outta keep him busy for a while" lief said then walked away. Mother brightly was pleased at the choice of warrior she entered in the competition "i still got it, I can always tell how good a fighter is I haven't been running the inn all these years for nothing".
Cal was just standing there on the arena with his arma folded with his trunjet 'I could find my next opponent, but why wait when they can come to me' he thought. Then two individuals one with a mallet the other a shield "this one isn't even putting up a fight" one said "ya we can take him easily"and they both charged at him. During his many dungeon diving experience years cal had fought all sorts of creatures he sharpened all his skills from weapons to magic and he even had strong endurance with stamina to survive on his own. As soon as they got close cal ducked their attacks unfolded his arms with trunjet smacked them on the heads causing them to fall down on their bums. Cal said "some warriors you are two against one didn't work out for you" the both said in unison "we yeild" cal then folded his arms forward with trunjet. Mother brightly then said "what a magnificent warrior something tells me he's going to win the secret prize in the competition".
Lief found another mallet on the floor of the arena he picked it up since his last weapon is stuck in an opponent's mouth brightly said "most people wouldn't have given those four a second look". Lief said "thank you " while picking up the mallet "but i think they were quite the fine" brightly said jasmine faced two opponents that held the same weapon as her. Guy said "I apologize in advanced but were about go against all the codes of fair play and attack you" next said "you see chivalry is for the weak now defend yourself".
Jasmine said "ya ya whatever never mind your codes lets just do this" guy said "as you wish"they both look at each other "for the reward" and they charged at her. She jumped back to dodge their attacks lief said birdie" she said "don't worry im fine I just gor to decide who's gonna chase me I pick this one" and she charged to her left. She then jumped up and landed on the end of the guys trunjet "hey get off" he said "if you say so" she replied. As soon as she did she backed up" blast he said meanwhile lief fought the other guy "come back here" guy said while chasing Jasmine she zigged to her left "catch me if you can".
Then the guy realized she let him straight to his partner this caught them both by surprise and they collided knocking each other out. The crowd roar as they saw her performed that magnificent technique then the gong rang "that's the end of the preliminaries" announcing guy said. Announcer said "the ten final contestants have now been determined here they are in no particular order orwen,joanna,neridah" that was the name of the girl that made lief blush. Lief said "wow she made it good for her" jasmine said "oh" lief said "uh what do you mean by that?" Jasmine said "nothing,nothing at all".
Announcer then said the name of the hairy arm guy "glock" the man known as glock roared as soon as his name was spoken. Announcer said "the four from Bushtown berry,twig,birdie and arboris" barda said "so we all made it to the finals" lief said "i'll never get used to those names". Jasmime said "if nothing its 100 gold coins, each" cal replied "I went easy on everyone my bronze battle bracelet made everything in half energy of my power but it's more than enough for them plus I like the name arboris".
Announcer said "and last but not least is doom and baron" the crowd cheered for the Scarface man and another big man. This man was big as two men hulking had brown hair with short sleeved vest and long slacks look like he could crush two logs. Jasmine said "doom huh that figures it suits him" barda said "it's gotta be a fake name". Lief said "there's something about him that I can't put my finger on" cal said "One of us will be facing him soon enough the other will be tackling that big guy".
Jasmine kept looking at the guy called doom and then he looked back at her.
