Spring Break came and went as Charity had ungrounded Lucy. 2 weeks later, everyone was heading to Conroe, Texas for the Montgomery County Fair.
Why hadn't the boys been in Royal Woods? They were there for the fair week, attending fair events, preparing for the contest itself, and practicing for the show. They were currently filming the commercial to promote the rodeo part of the fair.
The boys sang Rodeo by Garth Brooks as the cameras were rolling.
People loved it once it aired.
Lucy went to the hotel to be alone. While she was glad to not be grounded anymore, she was scared of being overprotective of Luke.
The fair was the biggest fair of all time since Luke and his friends were at it. Well, one of the biggest fairs in Texas, too.
"We need to push our campaigns one final time." Luke says. "The show is tomorrow, and the fair king gets crowned during the rodeo part."
"Right!" The other guys say.
"Oliver Alexander! Stop getting your cape dirty!" Moira tells her son.
"Your hair is out of place…again." Robert says.
Oliver Queen grumbles as he walks off with his parents.
"Harold Thomas Jordan!" Martin says. "You need to prepare yourself!"
"Come on, sweetie, time to push that campaign to its limits!" Jessica Jordan says to her son.
"Well, I guess we should head back to Greendale." Alem tuber says.
"News flash. The show is tomorrow." Alex says.
"Do we have to attend every Luke event?" Delta asked.
"Yeah. Randy and Brandy are still in the show." Drell says. "So until they're eliminated, they're just going to have to go on."
With Luke, he was doing his public speaking part for the fair king contest. Charity clapped once he finished.
"Way to go, sweetheart!" Charity says.
Shane went next, then Garth made his speech. Barry turned on the charm upon making his speech.
Fans cheered as Barry flashed a smile. Hal came up to make his speech next.
"Smile bigger!" Martin tells Hal.
"And you have to sound like you love the fair! Voice tone is everything in public speaking." Jessica Jordan says.
Hal does as he's told. He then makes his speech before everyone cheers for him.
"All right, sweetheart, remember to tell them exactly what the fair and rodeo mean to you. You've been practicing this speech for days." Moira tells Oliver Queen.
"And don't forget to show the people a Queen-trademark smile." Robert says.
He nods and makes his speech as his parents smile at him.
Soon, it was time for the fair. The boys were exploring the livestock barn and greeting fair patrons. The siblings soon spotted Luke and smiled, loving the attention. Shane smiled as well.
After a while, Oliver Queen and Barry rode the Tilt-a-Whirl, but due to eating one too many funnel cakes, Barry threw up all over Oliver Queen, making the pure diamond blonde teen scream in agony.
"My hair! My clothes! I smell like funnel cake vomit!" Oliver Queen says, coming off the ride with a pale-faced Barry.
Zee took one look at Oliver Queen before pitying him.
"You're a mess." Zee says to him as he scowled and walked off to get cleaned up and changed.
Meanwhile, Angry Luigi sighed. "I wonder what happened to the other heroes Cherry teamed up with, like Bianca and Bella?" Angry Luigi asked.
Suddenly, Atticus walked by as people were cheering. "Atticus, Atticus, Atticus!" Girls screamed. Atticus waved.
"If anyone is winning this whole rodeo thing, it's Atticus." Angry Luigi says.
"This just turned into the Atticus show, just great." Alem tuber says, arms crossed.
Later, the fair king and queen candidates walked in a line to the main stage, where one of the featured performances was the talent portion of this contest.
"Atticus, Atticus, Atticus!" Girls chanted.
"Now, now, ladies and gentlemen, settle down. The talent portion is about to get started. Now remember, our judges are watching. Talent will also count for 50% of the contestants' scores." The host of the contest, Dustin, says. "So, let's start with the golden blonde that has some immense charm, Barry Allen!"
Barry smiled as he appeared on stage.
"I love you, Barry!" Barbara says.
"So, what is your talent?" Dustin asked Barry.
"Ice cream making." Barry says.
"Why don't you show us?" One judge says. He makes the ice cream in 15 seconds.
"What flavor have you made there?" Another judge asked.
"A Barry Allen special. Butterscotch Campout." Barry says. "Try it."
The judges try it and gasp.
"Incredible!" The third judge says.
"So good!" The second judge says.
Luke was up after Barry. He smiled and stood in the center of the stage.
"And what talent will you be showing us?" The first judge asked him.
Luke performed one of his favorite country songs, She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy by Kenny Chesney.
Girls went wild for him.
Hal went up once Luke finished. He performed the song Pickin' Wildflowers by Keith Anderson. Fans cheered.
"Way to go, son!" Martin says as Hal smiles.
Garth went up and did his aquatic show routine, using the song Good Time by Alan Jackson. The crowd was in awe.
Oliver Queen went up not long after Garth. He went and did his routine to God Bless America by Celine Dion. To say he brought down the house was an understatement.
"Way to sing, son!" Robert says.
"Wonderful!" Moira says. "Smile at the end, sweetheart! Show everyone how much you love America!"
Oliver Queen smiled at the crowd as he finished to raucous cheers and he even got a standing ovation. The judges smile at this.
Shane went up and did a song and dance routine to Let There Be Country by Laine Hardy. Sharon and Lance smiled proudly at their son. They knew he practiced hard for this. Shelby and Shiloh cheered for their big brother.
After that, the guys were hanging out by the stage as one of the live music acts played in the background.
"So, who's excited for Oakley Academy's senior prom?" Luke asked.
"I am!" Hal says.
"Same!" Oliver Queen says.
"We're both taking Zee, right?" Luke asked him.
He nods and smiles. "Then we get to do it with her afterwards." Oliver Queen says. "My parents reserved the best room in the Hilton just for us."
Luke grinned at the sound of this.
"So, who are you taking to prom?" Barry asked Garth. "I'm taking Barbara."
"Karen." he says.
"Can we talk about how amazing Oliver's talent was?!" Shane says. "Dude, I have to know where you got that outfit you wore for that routine! It looked awesome!"
Oliver Queen explained how he had made the whole outfit with fabrics he had flown in from Italy, London, and Paris. Shane was in awe.
Later, it was time for the show. The boys were getting ready for the show.
"Atticus, Atticus, Atticus!" Fans chanted. "Atticus is awesome!"
Alem tuber glared.
Everyone's eyes were soon gazed upon the cups as they came in with Mona.
"Oh, you guys, Luke's lackies." Alem tuber says and glared at Mona. "Keep out of my way."
"Touch my girl and I'll make some wild connections." Mugman growled. He walked off with Mona before a reaction could be uttered.
Soon, Dave, Braxton, and Gemma walked onto the fair's live music stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome one and all to the Montgomery County Fair, here in beautiful Conroe, Texas!" Braxton says.
"Tonight is Country Night here at the All-Star Talent Showcase, and it is sure to be a boot-scootin' kind of night for you all out there in the crowd!" Dave says.
"This is going to be a six-team elimination show, to make our top 20 for the I Love The Nineties show in the amazing city of San Diego!" Gemma says. "My hometown, I might add. Oh, and remember, the Bejeweled Button is in play for one lucky team tonight, saving them from elimination and giving them a guaranteed pass to the next show."
"Coming up first, the Hot Slice Experience, telling us to do one thing during this rodeo season here at the fair!" Braxton says as the group took the stage, performing Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy.
Girls screamed for the cups and guys went crazy for Mona.
They smile as they soon finish performing. The crowd cheered wildly for them.
Alem tuber gets ready. Wlem and Wandy spy on Angry Luigi and his brother.
"Are you two planning sabotage?" Luke hissed.
"What do you care?" Wlem says.
"Because if you're part of the show, you could get disqualified…" Luke says.
"You and Randy, friends?" Wlem asked.
"I'm a stickler for the show rules." Luke says. Oliver Queen and the others appeared behind Luke.
"Do we have a problem here?" Hal asked.
Wlem and Wandy walk off.
Atticus, Stephen, Remy, Angry Luigi, and Lonnie (who was added due to Stephen's suggestion, just for this show) were up, doing a performance of Long Gone by the group Lady A.
Everyone was loving it, especially with Lonnie's vocals. The crowd roared once they were done.
"Atticus, Atticus, Atticus! Lonnie! Lonnie! Lonnie! Stephen! Stephen! Stephen!" The crowd chanted as they were smiling. Remy walked offstage.
"Remy, Remy!" Fans chanted as he looked down.
Alem tuber growled. "Elder brother, time to show you how it's done." he says.
Emma was getting ready. She soon went on with Boscha and Skara, performing Those Memories Of You by Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris. Fans cheered for them, loving the harmony.
Angry Luigi clapped for Emma.
"Wooo!" Skylia cheered.
The boys saw that Beau and Tina were doing the song they practiced. Before Oliver Queen could throw his dramatic fit, Hal got an idea.
"We can do that Fake ID song we've been working on!" Hal says.
Luke nodded.
"Then we make Tina pay." Barry says. Luke shook his head.
"No. Hurting her would devastate Beau." Luke says.
Cool Josh finished as all the fair patrons cheered.
"Cool Josh! Cool Josh! Cool Josh!" Fans cheered.
He smiled as he high fived Wlem and Wandy, also Mike and Josh. Alem tuber gave them a thumbs down.
Garrett gets ready as he sees Kylie dying Melony's hair for the thing.
"Luke, we're next." Shane says.
"Are we ready?" Luke asked.
"Yes!" Barry says.
"Ladies and gentlemen, coming up are the stars of the show and one of them could possibly be crowned king of the fair tonight…" Dave began.
"Presenting the Musibros!" Gemma says.
Girls shrieked when they appeared. After a bit of an introduction time, they began performing Fake ID, a song they'd been working on.
The crowd was going insane as they performed. Girls were screaming for their favorite members of the Musibros as they sang the song.
"Ahhhh! I love you, Hal!" One girl says.
"Oliver! You're so hot!" Another girl says as Oliver Queen blushed while still singing.
"Barry! Ahhh! You're so cute!" Several girls, including Barbara, screamed.
Girls swooned over Garth and Luke respectively, and several girls fainted when Shane flashed them a smile. Diana was one of them.
Once they finished, the crowd roared louder for them as they smiled before heading off to get ready for the fair king crowning.
Beau and Tina went up after the Musibros, performing Fancy Like by Walker Hayes, the crowd loving the coordination and chemistry.
Beau was an amazing dancer and singer, and even Tina knew it. Any girl would be lucky to have him.
Lisa cheered for Beau as he blushed and smiled.
Melony gets ready with Garrett, Cedric, Eduardo, and Roland. They had worked on their song for weeks and they were ready to show it off with the costumes Cedric made.
They went on stage as fans cheered. The five of them performed Days Go By by Keith Urban. Boys and girls screamed for them.
Gemma hits the button for Garrett. Garrett smiled as his friends cheered for this.
Alem tuber gets ready. He was determined to show his brother who was better.
Emma was eating as the cosmic buddies made an epic entrance. Fans cheered as Alem tuber smirked at Atticus. The group then performed A Little Less Talk And A Lot More Action by Toby Keith.
The fans loved their performance. They do a backflip to end their performance.
"Cosmic buddies!" Fans cheered.
With the boys, nervous was the one thing they were feeling as the rodeo was going on. The big moment was going to come soon.
"As I see who comes out on top in all this, just know you all did wonderful in your speeches, your talent, and your overall preparations for this." Charity tells them. "We're all going to be proud of you, no matter what the outcome is."
"All right, boys, ready to load up into the back of the Ford truck? It's time to present you to the rodeo patrons!" The head judge says.
Fans cheered once the boys appeared on the back of the truck.
"Ladies and gentlemen, presenting our Montgomery County Fair King candidates!" The announcer says.
Fans cheered.
"Now, the crowning will work like this. There will be a Mr. Congeniality winner, then the 2nd and 1st runner-ups, and finally, the fair king himself." The announcer says. "The judges have been tallying the scores up and deliberating pretty hard. The queen will be crowned before we announce those four winners, so bear with us."
The boys watched the queen candidates being paraded around and as it turned out, a girl from Montgomery, Texas took the fair queen title. Now it was time for the fair king to be crowned as the boys stood side by side on a big stage in the middle of the arena.
"As a reminder, our Mr. Congeniality winner and our two runner-ups will receive scholarships with varying amounts, trophies, shoulder banners, and a bouquet of flowers. Our fair king will receive all that, plus a crown, belt buckle, and jacket." The announcer says. "We wish all our contestants good luck as the judges are making their final deliberations."
"We love you, Oliver!" Moira and Robert yell from the stands.
"You're our king, Hal!" Martin and Jessica yell from the stands.
"I love you, Barry!" Barbara shouted.
"Good luck, Garth!" Kara and Karen both say.
"I love you and Oliver, Lukey!" Zee says.
"I wish you all the luck in the whole galaxy, Shane!" Diana says.
Soon, the final results were in. All six boys were completely nervous, but were smiling nonetheless.
"Starting with our Mr. Congeniality award, we would like to present that to Hal Jordan!" The announcer says.
"Way to go, honey!" Jessica says.
"We love you, son!" Martin says. Hal smiled and accepted his award and prizes, practically beaming.
"The second runner-up award goes to Shane Loud!" The announcer says.
"All right, Shane!" His family says. Diana blew him a kiss as he blushed and smiled, receiving his award and prizes.
"The first runner-up award goes to Luke Huntington!" The announcer says.
"I'll take it!" Luke said as he smiled and accepted his award and prizes. The Louds and Zee cheered for Luke.
"It comes down to three. Garth Bernstein, Barry Allen, and Oliver Queen. Which of these charming boys will be crowned our next Montgomery County Fair King?" The announcer says. "Well, it's time to find out!"
He was handed an envelope by the head judge.
"And now, the moment you've all been waiting for! This year's Montgomery County Fair King is…Barry Allen!" The announcer says. Barry screamed out loud.
"No way! Me?!" Barry says, excited.
"You'll get them next time, sweetie." Moira says to her son, who looks discouraged.
"Come on, we'll buy you some cotton candy and funnel cakes and we'll play a few midway games to help cheer you up. And maybe ride the Ferris wheel, too. You always loved doing all that stuff after a fair pageant as a child, whether you won or lost." Robert says, taking Oliver's hand as he and Moira take Oliver to the fair.
"Way to go, Barry!" Garth says.
"I can't believe I won!" Barry says.
"You look so handsome!" Barbara says as she kisses Barry. "My king…"
Barry patted the seat in the truck bed as Barbara sat next to him.
"Here he is, your Montgomery County Fair King, ladies and gentlemen! Let's hear it for Barry Allen!" The announcer says as the truck drives Barry around with him waving to the crowd.
Fans cheered for him.
Afterwards, Barry looked sad as he watched Hal and Oliver spend time with their parents. He held his crown in his hands.
"Are you okay, Barry-boo?" Barbara asked him, grabbing one of his hands. "You know you can talk to me."
"My parents! Are dead!" Barry sobbed. "They're gone, Barbara!"
"I know, Barry. You know they're in a better place now, right?" She says. Barry sniffed and nodded.
"And I know that up there in heaven, they're beaming with joy because they're so proud of you! And I know that if they were here today, they would be so happy to see how far you've come. They love you. They always will, whether they're here in solid form or here in spiritual form." Diana says, putting an arm around Barry.
"Barry! Come on! It's time to have some fun!" Hal shouted from across the fairgrounds. "We're celebrating!"
"Coming!" Barry says, grabbing Barbara's hand and dashing off. Diana followed close behind, just smiling at the two of them.
