Several weeks had passed since the fair. It was now April 3rd. Since prank wars were outlawed in certain parts of the state, April Fools' Day was somehow uneventful.
Jack was still pranking people in Greendale and to him, all of April was available.
Savannah sighed. Last year, Melony ended up drowning.
Jack snuck in and placed whip cream on Emila's hand and tickled her with a feather as she hit herself.
He laughed.
Meanwhile, the Louds were just eating cereal. There were no events for once.
All the boys had to work at their jobs today. Barry had refused to speak to his friends since the fair. The minute Hal made a joke about his dead dad on the Ferris wheel, Barry was ready to tear him apart.
"MAKE. ONE. MORE. JOKE. ABOUT. MY. PARENTS. ONE. MORE. DAMN TIME!" Barry screamed.
Leni winced as this reminded her of her biological parents. Kat and Ana tear up. Thankfully, Clover wasn't here. The ninja twins tossed smoke bombs as everyone coughed.
"That wasn't nice, Hal." Lynn says.
"My great grandmother would curse you if I asked." Lucy says, glaring. Jessica Jordan interfered.
"Harold Jordan!" Jessica Jordan shouted.
"Ooooh!" The others said.
Kat and Ana were outside, so they decided to head out.
"If you ever talk about anyone's dead parents again, you will be grounded and have no graduation party or senior trip with your friends. Am I clear?" Jessica Jordan says.
"Yes, Mom." Hal says.
"Now go and get ready for work, young man." Jessica Jordan says.
Hal grumbles and goes off to get ready for work. He also had patrol duty after work.
Meanwhile, Mona was getting ready. Her graduation would be coming soon and she had work.
"Another day." she sighed and went off to work.
Later, Lisa was walking down to see Lola and Lana watching TV.
"Perhaps I suggest going outside." Lisa says "Reading a book would do you some good."
Lola rolled her eyes. "It's Saturday. Please don't ruin our day at home." She says, waving Lisa off.
Lisa shrugged and went to see June.
At Sugar Buzz Studios, Barry was working at his own pace. When he had a break, he smiled at his portable calendar he kept on hand. He was counting down the days until his 18th birthday, a day he was particularly excited about.
He then frowned, hoping his friends wouldn't forget like last year. He was left alone at Sweet Justice, among festive decorations and his banana split birthday cake with a layer of wax icing across it because his candles burned all the way down on top of it, leaving the "Happy 17th Birthday, Barry!" icing inscription completely unreadable. He cried buckets of tears that day.
Meanwhile, Lynn was shooting hoops. She was trying to get a head start for the basketball tryouts this summer. She heard ranting about birthdays a lot. But she couldn't complain about that as she did that sometimes.
With Luna, she was with Sam, spending time with Clover.
Clover was slowly adjusting to life at the Sharp house. Luna and Sam both agreed she would be better off with Sam's family, since they weren't as chaotic, and Luna would visit as often as possible.
Clover started developing more likes, such as chocolate chip ice cream, Dessert Storm, Mick Swagger's music, stuffed crust pizza, Dream Boat, Poppyseed Avenue, The Sweet Beat Gang, video games, stuffed animals, and dressing up in costumes. She also loved watching Green Arrow's fights on repeat. He was her favorite hero.
Clover was watching a fight between Green Arrow and Merlyn. It was old fight footage that was playing on the TV.
"What's that you're watching there, dudette?" Luna asked Clover.
"Green Arrow!" Clover says, bouncing on the couch as she watches.
"Oh, he's your favorite!" Sam says, walking into the room.
"I wanna meet him one day…" Clover says, watching the fight on TV as she clapped excitedly.
With Lucy, she was writing poems. She notices Luke was getting ready for work. He had a solemn look on his face.
"I remember your graduation and half-birthday, Luke." Lucy says.
"I know, Luce-Luce. I just feel like a horrible person right now." Luke says, buttoning his Smoothie Queen polo shirt. "And an even worse friend. Barry didn't deserve any of that. None of the stuff Hal said. The rest of us just played along. We can't call ourselves heroes if all we're doing is hurting each other mentally and emotionally. I honestly wish we could just go back to the way our friendship was, without all this crazy stuff. Back to when we were kids, just joking around and training while we talked about life."
Luke sighed as he looked at the old pictures. He then grabbed the photo album the pictures were in, put the photo album in his messenger bag, grabbed his minty blue windbreaker, and left for work.
"Wait, they only met 2 years ago." Lucy thought. She then decided to ask Charity about this.
Meanwhile, Lola sighed, going to her pageant training. Luan's birthday was next week, but she was unsure whether she even wanted to celebrate it or not.
Lori's baby cries as Bobby was soon changing her.
"Bobby, are you sure you'll be able to handle her this summer while I'm teaching the summer classes at Fairway?" Lori asked him.
He nods. "Sure I can, babe. Don't worry." he says, kissing Lori. "She'll be in good hands."
81 spies on Luke.
"He wants to go back to the good old days. Should we, 82? Should we take Luke back in time to his better days, even though his better days were basically when he hadn't met the Louds?" 81 says.
"He did wish for the good old days." 82 says.
