On June 21st, Sonic woke up on his birthday.
"All right, another day!" Sonic says and rushed around with a smirk
Amy was with Chalice, planning a small party as Amy made lots of chili dogs.
Luke was preparing for the Mr. Teen Sunbeam pageant.
In the Chen house, Ollie was practicing.
"Balance, Ollie, balance…" Ruben says. "Walk straight and tall, you'll be a delight for all!"
"Today, I'll beat Luke." Ollie says. He smiled a dazzling smile.
"Tomorrow is Garrett's birthday and now for revenge." Melony says. She rushed and kicked Jason from behind.
She used vines to tie him up. Jason was able to break free from them. All that training wasn't for nothing.
She spat exploding seeds. Jason blocked as there was a big explosion. Jason was blown back.
"You just lost to a girl." Melony taunted " that's what you get for breaking Garrett!"
"He deserves it." Jason says and rushed towards Melony, who went underground and came from behind and made a melon army as they tossed vegetables at him as she laughed.
Jason punched the ground, causing a shockwave and knocking Melony down.
They get into a furious fight as Melony tries to toss tomatoes at Jason, who dodged.
Luke was practicing his rhythmic gymnastics routine with his ribbons. Luna smiled proudly at Luke.
With Ollie, he was practicing his tap routine to I'm Not A Loser from the SpongeBob SquarePants musical.
"That's the way, Ollie! Watch for those changes and move with them, son!" Esther says.
The others soon stop the fight as Melony stomps off.
"Melony, wait…" Savannah says.
"You all enjoyed abusing Garrett, didn't you?" Melony says
"If you try to take him, you'll be in the highest security prison in the state, no questions asked. You'll be charged with kidnapping." Bill says as Melony broke Bill's arm and stormed off to be alone.
The state police then end up putting her in the foster home, under house arrest, with additional charges of assault.
"Melony didn't try to kidnap Garrett." Savannah says.
"The footage I got from Governor Charity says otherwise. At Luke's party the other day. She went to Lucy Loud levels of overprotectiveness." Tristan Pingrey says.
"They treated him like an animal and I refuse to see Garrett as an animal." Melony says, leaving to be alone. The officers ended up tasing her and putting her in the police truck. She was being arrested for assault, damage to private property, and attempted kidnapping.
"I will get my revenge on you cosmic buddies, just you wait!" Melony says, cutting ties with them at that point.
"Okay, whatever." Alem tuber says. "Not like we really needed her."
Soon the pageant was in 1 hour. Luke was preparing himself. He hears Ollie giving himself some self-reaffirmations.
"You can win." Lucy says to Luke.
With Garrett, Kat and Ana had taken him to Diamond City.
"Why am I here?" Garrett asked.
"So you can be human again." Kat and Ana say.
"Garrett!" Shane says. "What did I say about using human language?!" He says before forcing Garrett into a cage.
Meanwhile, Sonic arrived in Green Hills.
"Happy birthday, Sonic!" His friends and even Chalice says.
"Thanks, guys." Sonic says.
The pageant soon began with the opening number to Walking On Sunshine by Katrina & The Waves.
Ruben and Esther took pictures of their son on stage. Charity took pictures of Luke. Cuphead had decided not to enter this year as he was there just to see who would win between Luke and Ollie.
Girls fainted seeing Luke and Ollie. Lucy smiled.
Soon, it was time to model the "sunbeam" themed outfits as Ollie was up first.
Molly fainted as Ollie modeled and struck a few poses.
"Big smile, Ollie! Show some teeth!" Ruben says. "Sunbeams have bright smiles!"
He showed his teeth as girls smiled back, especially Molly.
A few more guys went, then it was Luke's turn as he appeared on the catwalk.
"Catwalk behavior, Luke, dear! Remember your catwalk behavior!" Charity says.
He does so, smiling and modeling his outfit. The siblings cheered him on. He winked as he walked backstage.
Later, Ollie was putting on his mint green sequined tap dancing outfit, which was a tuxedo with a metallic green bow tie and shiny black tap shoes. He was even wearing a black fedora with his name on it in diamonds.
Luke looked at the outfit after changing into his rhythmic gymnastics outfit. He was jealous of Ollie's fedora.
Leni shows the one she made for him. Luke folded his arms and looked at it.
"You don't like it?" Leni asked.
"I do, but I'm doing rhythmic gymnastics, remember?" Luke says.
Leni gives him a newer gymnastics outfit. Luke smiles and changes into it.
Soon, a lot of the contestants showed off their talents. Ollie waited for his turn.
Meanwhile
"I can't believe it every year, it's the same old routine. That blasted hedgehog gets the birthday glory while I have to sulk" Eggman says he turns to Orbot and Cubot and gets an idea.
He arrived in a big Egg Mech.
"Oh, hey, Eggman, are you getting ready for the Olympics or something?" Sonic asked.
Wazy snickered as Eggman aimed a laser at the cake.
"No! I worked hard on that!" Amy says.
"This year, my birthday will take center stage!" Eggman says as Amy hammers some lasers.
"I don't mind a birthday battle." Sonic says and speeds around spin dashing badniks as Knuckles punches one and Rouge kicked another.
Blaze shot flames as The Cosmic buddies and Mario just watched this.
Wazy and Sonic double spin dash Eggman's mech as they high-five. Sonic eats a chili dog.
At the pageant, Ollie got ready to go on. He soon went on stage and did his tap dance routine to I'm Not A Loser from the SpongeBob SquarePants musical. He also sang as he danced.
"That's our boy…" Ruben tells Esther.
Luke gets ready, grabbing his ribbons. Fans scream seeing his outfit.
The crowd gave Ollie a standing ovation once he was finished.
"Way to go, bro!" June says.
"We love you, Ollie!" Esther and Ruben say.
Soon, it was Luke's turn. Fans cheered, excited.
Luke soon appeared on stage as he then did his rhythmic gymnastics routine with the song Tutti Frutti by Little Richard. Marcy was screaming for Luke.
The crowd loved it as it may end in a tie.
In Green Hills, the battle was getting hot until Shadow ended it.
Eggman sighed and retreated.
"Happy birthday, egghead!" Sonic says as Shadow was soon gone.
Round 3 was a costume round. Ollie was dressed in a custom Ghostbusters flight suit, proton pack prop and goggles included. Luke was dressed in a sailor costume, looking nice from head to toe.
The boys watched the other contestants until their turns came up.
Luke went on before Ollie after a bit. He did his Proud Mary jive routine on a boat prop.
Fans and the siblings cheered. Luke smiled as he soon finished with a one-handed handstand. Girls screamed for Luke.
Ollie felt a little nervous backstage. He was trying not to vomit as that was often a nervous thing with him. June was giving him ice chips to induce vomiting.
"Breathe, Ollie, it's going to be okay. You're doing great." Esther says.
June pats his back. "Are you ready now?" She asked him. "You practiced this routine backwards, forwards, and with your eyes shut. You got this down pat, I know you do!"
Ollie nods and gets ready to go on next. He soon takes the stage and does his Ghostbusters routine, using the song by Ray Parker Jr. and moving his way through a New York City stage scene.
Fans were screaming for Ollie as he performed.
Molly was cheering the loudest, especially when he finished by aiming the proton gun prop at a ghost prop and knocking it down as the gun had shot silly string at the ghost prop to depict a proton beam.
The crowd went wild for Ollie.
There was a break before the interview round.
"You did great." Lucy says to Luke.
"Thanks." Luke says.
"Ollie! That was fantastic!" Molly says.
"Thanks, my lovely vision of beauty." Ollie says as he kisses Molly.
Melony laid In her room. She was treated like a freak. And now that she was under house arrest, she couldn't exactly go anywhere, anyway.
"I gotta get Garrett to safety, they're treating him horribly." She sniffed.
What she didn't know is that Garrett was mostly used to it by now, and trying to be rescued? Well, that earned Melony a few years in jail, or house arrest at the most.
"But first, I'm getting out of here. I'm tired of being shut in." Melony says as she decides to sneak out.
Meanwhile, the interview round began. Ollie was on stage first.
"First question, what kinds of community service have you done?" The host asked Ollie.
He explains as fans were smiling at all the nice things he does.
"Second question, if you could change one thing about the world we live in, what would it be and why?" The host asked.
"Leukemia. The way it's treated and the way it's researched. Doctors must do more to help people that suffer from it." Ollie says.
"Final question, what will you do if we crown you Mr. Teen Sunbeam?" The host asked.
"Celebrate, but mostly make sure my community thrives from the work I do for it." Ollie says before flashing a smile.
Soon, it was Luke's turn.
"Okay, Luke, your first question is…what kinds of community service have you done?" The host asked.
He explained, smiling.
"He's so nice, unlike the cosmic buddies." Mike and Josh say.
"Luke, describe a charitable cause that is close to your heart and explain why it matters to you." The host says.
"Remy's Raiders. Remy is my friend and he suffered from leukemia twice. It wasn't fun to see him suffer, so this cause helped raise money for his treatments and helped his mom out a lot with stuff she needed while she was caring for Remy." Luke says.
"Final question, what will you do if we crown you Mr. Teen Sunbeam?" The host asks Luke.
"Make sure everyone benefits from it." Luke says.
After a bit, every contestant on stage was feeling very nervous.
"The winner is a surprise as it's a tie! A tie between Luke and Ollie!" The host says.
Ollie fainted. Right there on stage.
"Yay!" Luke said and looked at Lucy, who nodded. Another party for Luke.
Meanwhile, Melony broke out, filled with revenge as she rushed out of Royal Woods, avoiding everything.
She wasn't slowing down as nothing mattered. She was going to fight for her freedom.
She jumped over police cars and was making a mad dash for Greendale, leaving Garrett behind.
"I am weapon Xi." she says.
Melony looked confused and looked around. She rushed off.
Lucy was planning a party for luke.
Ruben carried Ollie offstage as Esther was holding his legs.
"Nice job, Luke!" Luna says.
"I can't say the same for Ollie. I don't think he was really expecting a tie." Luke says.
"He'll get used to it. Ties are still good. I mean you still won." Leni says.
"He'll treat it as a loss." June says. "It's happened before in Brighton."
"Luke doesn't like losing." Lisa noted. She looks at the score as it was fixed. "And I don't make errors. Luke really won." Lisa says
"Still. Ollie treats ties like losses in the pageant circuit." June says.
"Like Randy. He got mad over a tie and nearly tore my head off with a chair." Skara says.
"That's Randy for you." Luke says.
Meanwhile…
"Here, Sonic, from my heart." Amy says. She got him new shoes.
"Aw, thanks, Amy." Sonic says.
"So is it time for cake?" Charmy asked
"Sure, dig in, guys!" Sonic says and eats another chili dog
"I need to head back to Angel Island." Knuckles says. Temila waved.
Wazy shrugged.
Later, Mario and the cosmic buddies arrive back.
"That was a nice party." Peach says.
"Yeah." Bill says.
"Oh, Luke won." Savannah says.
"What else?" Sal asked.
Ollie woke up later, steamed up as all get-out.
"It's okay, it's okay, don't freak out…" June tried to tell him.
Ollie just screamed and stormed out, angry. "THAT TITLE WAS MINE!" He screamed. "HE'S BETTER THAN ME! HE WON BECAUSE OF FAVORITISM! THE JUDGES LIKED HIM MORE! THEY HATED ME!" He then sobbed. "HE ONLY WON SO HE WOULD GET A PARTY!"
June then glared at Luke. "Congratulations. You broke my brother. Have fun at your stupid party. Hope it's worth it, Mr. BRAGGY Teen Sunbeam who can't compete in the teen division next year, anyway…" June says, going off to calm her brother down.
"You only won so you could get a party?!" Charity says. "That is not what Mr. Teen Sunbeam is all about! And you're a poor example of what the title represents!"
Lana was outside wanting to be alone; she didn't even attend.
Melony hears people talking about how Garrett had to be naked outside, then felt the ground like it was frying an egg. She froze in terror before fainting and coughing.
She woke up to a couple of officers surrounding her, but Melony went underground.
Charity canceled Luke's party and grounded him for being selfish and misrepresenting the Mr. Teen Sunbeam title.
Meanwhile, Alem tuber lays in bed.
"You have malaria." Skylia says.
"Dang it." Randy says.
"Will he be okay?" Brandy asked.
"I hope." Skylia says.
Melony came from underground.
"Garrett…" she gasped out.
"There is no party in there." Garrett says coldly.
"Are you feeling all right?" Melony asked as Garrett nodded before collapsing in her arms.
"You have some sort of skin burn." Melony says and carries him to the hospital as Maria was worried for Garrett.
"How did this happen?" Maria asked.
"The dog treatment. He slept in the rain and had to bend like a dog." Melony says.
"That's not good." Maria says and calls Forest, who is then infuriated with Luke for doing this.
Forest called Charity, who was just as angry.
"You don't deserve that crown!" Charity screamed at Luke. "This isn't what Mr. Teen Sunbeam represents, either!" She then made some calls.
Later, there was a new announcement as the host took the trophy and crown and approached Ollie and his family.
"Ollie, you deserve it more. You are truthful, loyal, and you truly represent the Mr. Teen Sunbeam title with honor and dignity." the host says.
Ollie fainted with a smile on his face.
Meanwhile, Shane came in as Melony and the ninja twins look away
"We're sorry." Jason says.
"Sorry?! I warned you all that this was bad and you tried to lock me up because I wanted to help Garrett. I knew he was sick, but you joked about it. I wonder who's truly blind…" Melony sobbed, worried for Garrett.
Luna finds Lana; she knew the whole pageant thing made Lana remember Lola.
"It's okay." Luna says, patting her back.
"I'll do whatever it takes to help you, Garrett." Melony says, wanting to win ANH for him.
Luke sat in his room, sulking. Lucy hugged him.
"You wanna look over my plans for Shane? He will need us next month." Lucy says.
Luke nods and does so.
Forest cries over his son, now knowing how he had been treated.
