On the Saturday after the graduation exam Naruto invited everyone that graduated and their families to a barbeque to celebrate everyone graduating. Hinata brought her little sister Hanabi to show her some of the pokémon the Uzumaki Clan has. Everyone was interested in the exotic foods Daisy and Dawn made. Hanabi was just about to try a soft boiled Chansey egg when a small black and yellow blur grabbed it out of her hand. She spun around to see what took her food. It was a small black and yellow mouse like pokémon with black tail and pink circles on its cheeks. Apon seeing it Hanabi let out a squeal and pulled the pokémon into a hug as she said, "You're so cute." Just as the pokémon was pulled into the hug it let out an electric shock in startlement. Everyone either heard the electrical discharge or saw a yellow flash and looked over to see what happened and chuckled at the sight of Hanabi with her hair standing on end. "Hanabi, are you alright?" asked Hinata. "Yeah, who knew that such a cutie could pack such a punch." answered Hanabi as she shook her head to get her hair back to normal. "You shouldn't startle a Pichu they don't have good control over their electric power." said Naruto with a chuckle. He then looked at Pichu who was still in Hanabi's arms. "Pichu you know that you don't steal people or other pokémon's food. There is plenty of food for everyone. Just asked for some next time." scolded Naruto. Pichu looked down ashamed of what he did. Hanabi squeezed the little pokémon a little tighter and said "I'm sure he will not make this mistake again. Right Pichu?" Pichu quickly nodded its head in agreement. Then climbed up on Hanabi's shoulder and rubbed its cheek against hers. Naruto chuckled at Pichu's actions.
Daisy looked at the other Uzumakis with a silent question. They all smiled and nodded to her. Daisy walked over to the Hyugas with a smile. "It seems that Pichu has taken a liking to you Hanabi." said Daisy. Hanabi reached up and rubbed Pichu's cheek with a smile. "How would you like to be Pichu's trainer? I could also use a research assistant." asked Daisy. Everyone but the Uzumaki were surprised at the offer. "Really, I would love to. But why me?" asked Hanabi. "This Pichu has had a tough time adjusting and he doesn't warm up to anyone that fast. We think this will be good for him. So, would you like to be my assistant and Pichu's trainer?" said Daisy. "I will do my best to train Pichu and would love to be your assistant." answered Hanabi. "Alright Hanabi here is Pichu's pokeball. After the Academy let's out for the day on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and on Saturdays come to my lab unless you're needed by your clan. Also, when we are working you can call me Professor." said Daisy. "Hai, Professor." said Hanabi with a smile. The rest of the party went smoothly.
Naruto and Dawn walked toward the Academy. "Do you think we will be on the same team?" asked Dawn? "I don't know. But I hope we are." answered Naruto as they entered the classroom. While they were waiting for Iruka to get there a meeting was going on in the Hokage's office. "You have a chance to review the graduating Genin. I will hear your suggestions for Genin teams." said Sarutobi. The first Jonin to suggest a team is a tall man with short black hair and a beard wearing a standard Jonin uniform with a sash that has the Kanji for fire on it. This is Asuma Sarutobi. "I would suggest Ino Yamanaka, Choji Akimichi, and Shikamaru Nara. To create the next generation of the Ino Shika Cho Formation." said Asuma. The next to suggest a team is a woman with long black hair, red eyes, and wearing a dress that looks like it is made of bandages. This is Kurenai Yuhi. "I would suggest Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame. They would be a tracking and reconnaissance team." said Kurenai. The next Jonin to speak is Kakashi Hatake. He has gravity defying gray hair, wears a standard Jonin uniform, and has one of his eyes covered by his Hatai. "I believe Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Naruto Uzumaki would be a good assault team. Naruto would push Sasuke to improve. While Sakura would be their support with either Genjutsu or Iryojutsu." said Kakashi. The final Jonin in the room is the recently promoted Hana Inuzuka. "I would suggest that Naruto Uzumaki, Dawn Berlitz, and Yakumo Kurama who graduated last year but didn't get a team. They would be an all-around team capable of fulfilling any role needed. Like assault, demolition, recon, tracking, and capture." said Hana. "Asuma, Kurenai, your teams are granted. Kakashi do you have any other reason for Naruto to be on your team?" asked Sarutobi. "Other than he is my Sensei's son and I want to be able to train him I don't." said Kakashi. "I'm sure Naruto wouldn't mind training with you when you're not training your team. Your team will be Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Sai. Hana your team is also granted. Remember to pick up your team at 1 pm today. Iruka here is the list of teams. You're dismissed." said Sarutobi. "Hai Hokage-Sama." said everyone before they all left.
As Iruka walked in with Yakumo and he said, "Alright everyone settle down." No one heard him and kept talking. Iruka then used his Big Headed Jutsu and yelled, "Take a seat and listen up!" Everyone then sat and paid attention. "Okay Team 1 is… Team 7 is Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Sai. Your Sensei is Kakashi Hatake. Team 8 is Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame. Your Sensei is Kurenai Yuhi. Team 9 is still in circulation. Team 10 is Ino Yamanaka, Choji Akimichi, and Shikamaru Nara. Your Sensei is Asuma Sarutobi. Team 11 is Naruto Uzumaki, Dawn Berlitz, and Yakumo Kurama. Your Sensei is Hana Inuzuka. Your Senseis will be here after lunch. I'm proud of each and every one of you. But remember you need to keep learning. You're all dismissed till after lunch be back by 1 this afternoon." said Iruka. "Hello Yakumo, I'm Naruto and this is Dawn. How about we go get some food and get to know each other till it's time for Sensei to get us?" asked Naruto. Yakumo nodded and said, "Sure lead the way."
Everyone was back waiting for their Senseis. As the clock struck 1 three of the Senseis walked in. "Team 8 with me." said Kurenai. Team 8 said goodbye to their friends as they followed their sensei. "Team 10 follow me." said Asuma. They waved goodbye as they left. "Team 11 let's go." said Hana. Team 11 nodded to Team 7 as they headed out. "Okay Team let's go to the Compound." said Hana as she walked away. Yakumo looked at her sensei confused. "Are we going to the Inuzuka Compound Sensei? If so isn't it in the other direction?" asked Yakumo. "No, we are heading to the Uzumaki Compound. It's not common knowledge yet but Dawn and I are Naruto's fiancés. We will explain more when we get there." Said Hana. As they arrived at the compound Yakumo was shocked and in awe of the pokémon she saw not sure what they were, so she asked. Naruto explained about pokémon and the Uzumaki clan. The team is sitting at the kitchen table. "Okay team normally there is another test about teamwork. But Naruto and Dawn will work with you Yakumo so teamwork will not be an issue. So, we won't be doing the extra test. Now Yakumo I know your Kekkei Genkei gives you great Genjutsu abilities but leaves you physically weak. So, we will be working on your physical fitness to start with. Naruto we will be working on your Genjutsu detection and dispelling them. Dawn your chakra reserves and stamina are still on the low side. It will be tree walking and water walking to raise them." said Hana. "Sensei not to question you but I been doing physical exercises for years with barely any improvement because I don't have a lot of stamina." said Yakumo. "We have Items that will restore your energy levels. Which will let you train longer than you could have before." said Naruto. "Our training schedule will be 8am to 9am warm up exercises, 9am to 11am personalized training, 11am till 12pm meditation, 12pm to 1pm lunch, 1pm will be missions, after missions we will spar depending on when we finish the missions. We start tomorrow morning till then your dismissed." said Hana. Yakumo said goodbye then headed home. "Hana-Chan, Dawn-Chan how about we go out on a date tonight?" asked Naruto. "That sounds great Naruto-Kun." said Hana as she walked over and kissed him. "Would love to Naruto-Kun." said Dawn she too walked over and gave him a kiss. They then headed out for their date.
The next day Yakumo was surprised how much physical training she was able to accomplish thanks to the Moo-Moo Milks reenergizing properties. The team then went to the Mission Office to get their first mission. As they walked into the office they heard "Ah Team 11 here to get your first mission?" asked Sarutobi. "Hai, Hokage-Sama." answered Team 11. "We have a mission to walk some of the Inuzuka's dogs, an elderly couple need their grocery shopping done, the river in the park needs the trash removed from it, and the Daimyo's Wife's cat, Tora, has run away and needs to be found." said Sarutobi. As the Hokage was speaking Team 11 was shocked and horrified about what the missions they were going to get. This caused Iruka, who was helping hand out missions, Sarutobi, and Hana to laugh at the Genin's expressions. "Jiji are you serious about the missions?" asked Naruto. "Yes Naruto, these types of missions help the village by bringing in income and showing the civilians they can count on us shinobi." said Sarutobi. "It also help increase new Genin team's teamwork." said Iruka. Team 11 nodded their heads in understanding. "Hokage-Sama we will take the Tora mission." said Hana.
"This is Eevee. I have spotted the target. It's sleeping at the base of a tree. I'm behind and to the left of it." said Naruto into his radio. "Shinx here. I'm in front of the target. Ralts are you in position?" said Dawn. "Yes, I'm ready to cast the Genjutsu to keep it asleep." answered Yakumo. "Ralts cast the Genjutsu on the count of 3. Then I will approach on the count of 5. Shinx be ready if the Genjutsu fails or I spook the target." said Naruto. The Genjutsu seemed to take effect. Just as Naruto was about to pick up the target it woke up and dashed forward and right into Dawn's awaiting hands. "Sensei we have the target." said Dawn into her radio. "Does it have a red ribbon on the left ear?" asked Hana. "Yes it has the ribbon. It is definitely Tora." answered Naruto as he and Yakumo walked up to Dawn. "Alright team let's head to the Hokage's Tower to return Tora to her owner." said Hana. A little while later they hand Tora over to her owner Madam Shijimi. "Oh, my precious Tora. Its good to have you back." said Shijimi as she hugged Tora painfully tight. Team 11 looked sadly at Tora for her treatment. "Madam Shijimi, I think I know why Tora runs away so much." said Naruto. "Oh, you do? Please tell me." said Shijimi. "Tora like most cats don't like to feel confined. I know you love Tora, but the way you're hugging and squeezing her is uncomfortable and makes her want to get away." said Naruto as he walked up to Madam Shijimi. "Really, then how should I hold her so she will not want to run away?" asked Shijimi. "May I?" said Naruto as he indicated he wanted to reposition her arms. Shijimi nodded her permission. Naruto gently moved her arms as he said, "You want to support her weight with one arm under her. Then you can pet her with the other arm. This way she won't feel confined." said Naruto. Shijimi smiled as Tora jumped up onto her shoulder. "It has been a long time since someone has completed the hidden objective of my mission." said Shijimi. Team 11 was confused by her statement about a hidden objective to the mission. Seeing team 11's faces Shijimi explained, "There are times when on a mission you will see something that you know is wrong. Will you speak up like Naruto here or are you going to act like its not happening? Say your guarding a noble and you see him about to assault a young lady or taking a bribe? Will you stop him or let it happen because you're supposed to be his guards? I want shinobi and kunoichi that will do what they think is right not just let things happen." said Shijimi. "Sarutobi please double his pay for completing the other part of the mission. I will be expecting remarkable things from you young man." said Shijimi she then left the office. "Good job Naruto-Kun. Team 11 your pay will be sent to your accounts. If there is nothing else, you're all dismissed." said Sarutobi. Team 11 left heading to the Uzumaki compound to do some sparring since there is a few hours left in the day.
