Chapter 6

Tazuna, Team 7, and Team 11 arrived at the bridge they saw Tazuna's crew on the ground. Most were bleeding but none seemed to have been killed. They rush to the closest person Tazuna kneels down and asked, "What happened to you?" "They came out of the mist." said the man. "Be on guard Zabuza is here somewhere. Team 11 can any of you help these people?" said Kakashi. Hana and Dawn nodded and released a Chansey and an Audino. "Chansey, Audino please heal these the people on the ground." said Hana. The pokémon nodded and started healing everyone on the ground with Healing Pulse and Life Dew. In about ten minutes the 20 or so injured people were able to walk away from the bridge. The mist started to get thicker, causing Team 7 and 11 to go on guard. "Well, that is quite impressive, to heal so many people so quickly." said Zabuza from within the mist. "So, Zabuza did Haku give you my message about a rematch?" asked Naruto. Chuckling came from multiple directions within the mist. "She did. Out of curiosity, how did you know Haku was working with me?" asked Zabuza. "She has the same height and build as the Hunter-nin. She said her 'friend' had been cut. And her voice was similar to the Hunter-nin. But she confirmed it when she spun around after I asked her to give you the message." said Naruto. As Naruto finished speaking he did the hand signs and called out "Wind Style Great Breakthrough". The jutsu took effect quickly as it blew away the mist revealing Zabuza, Haku, the Demon Brothers Gōzu and Meizu, and another person Kakashi recognized. "Aoi Rokushō, I'm surprised to see you here. I heard you joined Amegakure." said Kakashi. "Gato sent a mission request, and I was dispatched for the mission." answered Aoi. "Sai guard Tazuna. Dawn, Sasuke, you two take the Demon Brothers. Naruto you take Haku. Hana you got Aoi. I will take Zabuza." said Kakashi. "Kakashi-Sensei I would like to fight Zabuza. We didn't get to finish our last one." said Naruto. Kakashi thought for a second then nodded saying. "Ok Naruto. Hana, I will fight Aoi if that's fine with you." "Alright I will fight Haku. said Hana.
Naruto released Honedge as he said "Haku can't save you this time Zabuza." "Let's see if that confidence will last Gaki." responded Zabuza. Naruto and Zabuza then rushed at each other. They clashed blades a few times. Zabuza has more strength while Naruto is faster. As they locked blades Zabuza tries to push his blade down into Naruto's shoulder. Naruto feels his legs starting to buckle. So, he twists Honedge to the side and lets the Executioner's Blade slide past his shoulder and jumps back. When he lands he rushes back in calling, "Fury Cutter." Zabuza brought his blade up to block and only a small nick appeared on the blade. Zabuza laughed saying, "Is that all you got? I knew the last time was just a fluke." Zabuza swung his blade horizontally trying to slice Naruto in half. Naruto jumped over the blade and used Fury Cutter again. Zabuza dodged but got a shallow cut on his leg as he wasn't quick enough. Despite the pain Zabuza brought his blade around at Naruto's neck. Naruto parried the swing and used Fury Cutter once more causing Zabuza to get a cut to his left shoulder. Zabuza jumped back and did hand signs quickly even with his hurt shoulder. "Water Style Water Dragon Bullet" called Zabuza just after he landed. As the jutsu rushed at Naruto he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then snapped his eyes open and again, used Fury Cutter to slice the dragon right down the middle shocking Zabuza. Naruto dashed straight at Zabuza and one more time used Fury Cutter. Zabuza snapped out of his shock just as Naruto appeared in front of him and brought his blade up in a hasty block. This time Honedge sliced clean through the Executioner's Blade and a deep cut to his right bicep and chest. Not a lethal blow out right but if left untreated he will bleed out. After the blow Zabuza fell onto his back. "I have to give it to you Gaki you're a better swordman. 'Cough.' I want you to take my sword. Now finish it Gaki." said Zabuza. "Audino come here quickly." yelled Naruto. "What are you up to Gaki." asked Zabuza. Audino arrived as Naruto said. "Audino please stop Zabuza from bleeding out but not enough to be able to fight. Before my team left for this mission the Hokage gave Hana-Sensei another mission. She told us about it last night. That you're only a missing-nin because you tried to stop the Bloodline Purge by assassinating the Mizukage. The Hokage asked us to try and recruit you and your associates. So, I don't feel you need to die here." Before Zabuza could respond clapping was heard. Naruto and Zabuza looked toward the source of the sound and saw Gato and over one hundred of his thugs.
Dawn and Sasuke looked at the Demon Brothers as they said, "You took us by surprise last time. This time we will end you." "Sasuke you know any lightning jutsu?" asked Dawn. Sasuke nodded as they both started making hand signs. "Water Style Rushing Water Crush. Lightning Style Current Shock. Crushing Shockwave." Called Dawn and Sasuke. An electrically charged wave 10 foot wide and 6 foot wide rushed toward the Demon Brothers causing them to jump to the side in opposite directions. Gōzu jumped to the left, has shoulder-length, wild dark-brown hair and dark eyes. He wears a rebreather that covers the lower half of his face and camouflage suit with bandages around his waist and a ragged black cape. On this right hand is a clawed gauntlet. Meizu went right, has shoulder-length, wild dark-brown hair and dark eyes. He wears a rebreather that covers the lower half of his face and a camouflage suit with bandages around his waist and several pouches around his waist. He also has a clawed gauntlet but on his left hand. "I got the one on the right." called Sasuke as he dashed toward Meizu pulling out a kunai. As Meizu landed, he saw Sasuke charging him and brought his clawed gauntlet up to block. "I hope you give me a better fight than your brother did." taunted Sasuke as they clashed. Meizu tried to punch Sasuke in the temple. At the last second Sasuke ducked the punch and tried to sweep Meizu of his feet. Meizu jumped over Sasuke and turned around in the air before landing. As he landed he kicked Sasuke in the back then rushed after him. Sasuke rolled as he hit the ground then sprang back to his feet and pulled another kunai as he turned toward Meizu to see him right in front of him. Meizu was about slash Sasuke across the face when he started moving in slow motion. Sasuke quickly blocked the slower strike with one kunai. With the other Sasuke tried to hit Meizu in the shoulder of the arm with the clawed gauntlet. Meizu jumped back just as Sasuke's kunai grazed his shoulder. Meizu looked at Sasuke and saw his eyes were now red with a Tomoe in each eye. "Your eyes! The Sharingan! Should have known you were an Uchiha." said Meizu as he checked his shoulder. Sasuke smirked as he did hand signs and called "Fire Style Great Fireball." then rushed at Meizu. Meizu saw Sasuke doing hand signs and started his own. Just before the fireball would have it a wall of water appeared and blocked it. When the water receded, Sasuke appeared and lodged a kunai in this other shoulder. Meizu dropped to his knees and glared at Sasuke then said, "Bested by a brat. Well, what are you waiting for finish what you started." "If that's what you want. But the Hokage gave the backup team a mission to try to recruit you group." replied Sasuke. Suddenly the sound of clapping was heard. They both looked to see Gato and a whole horde of his thugs.
Dawn shook her head at Sasuke's antics as she released Luxio. Gōzu looked up to see Sasuke charged his brother. Then he saw a strange animal appear next to Dawn and assumed it was a summon creature. "Don't think your Summon there will save you." taunted Gōzu. "We will see about that." replied Dawn. Dawn dashed right and Luxio went left to divide Gōzu's attention. Gōzu charged toward Dawn thinking she would be the easier target. He swung his gauntlet at her, but didn't expect her to call out, "Luxio Quick Attack." Before he could turn he was hit in the side and sent flying. Gōzu dug his clawed gauntlet into the bridge to slow his momentum before he hit the edge of bridge. Gōzu glared at Dawn and Luxio. "Cheap shot." said Gōzu. "We're ninja. We use everything to our advantage." replied Dawn. Gōzu chuckled saying "So true." Gōzu did hand signs quickly then called out "Water Style Water Dragon Bullet." "Luxio use Protect." said Dawn. Luxio stepped next to Dawn and a translucent bubble around them. Dawn was making hand signs as the water dragon hit the bubble. When Gōzu's jutsu ended the bubble vanished and Dawn said, "Luxio Thunder Wave. Water Style Wild Water Wave. Luxio's Mercy." A fast-moving jet of electrically charged water hit Gōzu before he could react leaving him paralyzed. Before Gōzu could fall Dawn grabbed him and laid him down and bound his arms, legs, and hands. Just as Dawn finished Gōzu force himself to say, "Just kill me now and be done with it." Dawn shook her head at Gōzu before saying, "We have a secondary mission to recruit your group if we can. Don't worry you will be able to move again in about an hour without help." As Dawn finished speaking she and Gōzu heard clapping. Dawn and Luxio turned to the sound and saw a large number of thugs being led by a clapping Gato.
Kakashi faced Aoi as he said, "If you hand over the Sword of the Thunder God you will be allowed to leave unharmed." "If you think I will hand it over your without a fight you're mistaken. Because with this sword I'm invincible." said Aoi with a laugh. Kakashi pulled out a kunai and channeled lightning chakra into it as he rushed Aoi. Aoi swung the Sword of the Thunder God at Kakashi trying to cut him from shoulder to hip. As Kakashi blocked the swing he saw his lightning infused kunai was nearly cut through. He jumped back to reevaluate his plan of attack. "I told you Kakashi I'm unstoppable with this sword." said Aoi as he charged Kakashi. In response Kakashi made hand signs calling out, "Fire Style Great Fireball." Aoi kept moving forward and swung his sword cutting Kakashi's jutsu in half, this shocked Kakashi. Before Kakashi could comprehend what happened, Aoi had a smirk on his face as he ran his sword through Kakashi. Before Aoi could say anything, Kakashi disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Then he heard what sounded like the chirping of a thousand birds. As Aoi turned a lightning covered hand punched through his chest, causing him to drop the sword as he coughed up blood. "How?" asked Aoi. "I made a Shadow Clone then I use Earth Style Headhunter. The rest you know." said Kakashi as he pulled his hand out of Aoi's chest. Aoi was dead before he hit the ground. Kakashi looked around at the other battles. But he spots Gato and his army of thugs as Gato starts clapping.
Hana looked at Haku with a smile then asked, "How are you today Haku?" "We are enemies. We shouldn't be having a conversation." replied Haku. "Now don't be like that Haku. We don't have to fight." said Hana. "The only way for us not to fight that I see, is if you would let me have bridge builder." asked Haku. "No, you can't have the bridge builder. But the Hokage wanted us to try and recruit your group." responded Hana. "Do you have any proof that the Hokage wanted to recruit us." asked Haku. "I have a scroll I was supposed to give it to Zabuza as proof that the offer is valid. Let me get the scroll out." said Hana as she waited for the go ahead to retrieve the scroll. Haku though for a second then said, "Retrieve the scroll but any sudden movements and I will end you." said Haku. Hana nodded and slowly reached for the scroll in her kunai pouch. After retrieving the scroll Hana tossed it to Haku with a smile. Haku checked the scroll for traps before opening it. Seeing the Hokage's official stamp at the bottom of the scroll started to read it. After Haku finished reading she nodded to Hana and said, "Alright, I will give this scroll to Zabuza-Sama. It's his decision to make." Hana nodded in understanding then she made small talk with Haku till they heard clapping. They turned to see Gato there with his thug army.
Back at the house Yakumo, Sakura, Aneka, and Tsunami were sitting in the living room talking about what Konoha was like. Suddenly Koga and Inari came running down the stairs. "Mom! There are two strangers approaching the house. We saw them out the window. They both had a sword." said Inari with Koga nodding in agreement. "Ok you 4 get upstairs and wait for us to give you the all clear. Sakura get ready we may have to fight." said Yakumo. Sakura nodded as she released Sirfetch'd. Just as Tsunami and the others got upstairs the front door was cut off its hinges. Two men walked in the house. Before either could say anything they heard "Sirfetch'd use First Impression." Suddenly the man on the left was hit a strange sword that looked like a leek being held by an equally strange bird. Sirfetch'd continued moving forward pushing the man out of the house with Sakura following. The other man turned toward Sakura to stop her, but he was trapped inside a tree that suddenly grew around him. Yakumo walked up to the man and hit him in the back of his head knocking him out then tied him up. Outside the first man finally got away from Sirfetch'd, but not without injury. His left arm has a minor cut on the bicep because he couldn't fully block the attack in time. While the wound doesn't keep him from using his arm. But it makes it so he can't put much strength into his swings with that arm. The man thinking he was faster than the bird rushed Sirfetch'd and tried to cut it across it's chest. The man again heard a voice say, "Sirfetch'd block it." As Sirfetch'd blocked the sword with his shield made out of a leek leaf a kunai lodged into the man's neck killing him. Sakura sees her kunai killed the man turned to the bush next to her and lost her lunch into it. Yakumo came out of the house to see Sakura's first kill and pulled her hair back and rub her back to help sooth her. "It's ok Sakura. Your first kill is always the hardest and it does get easier. The regret you feel means you're still human. If you ever stop feeling regret for taking a life it's time to retire from being a kunoichi. But also remember thugs and bandits don't deserve your sympathy. They lost that right when they started hurting others for personal gain. How many more people would he have hurt if you didn't kill him?" said Yakumo. "Have you killed before Yakumo?" asked Sakura as she looked at Yakumo. Yakumo nodded then said, "Let's go tell the others its safe to come back down now." Sakura agreed and followed Yakumo into the house.
"Defeated by a brat. I guess your nothing but a baby demon." said Gato. "What are you doing here Gato?" asked Zabuza. "I'm here to finish what you couldn't. But even if you did kill the bridge builder. My men would have killed you. Your too expensive." said Gato. "Well gaki we aren't enemies anymore. If you have proof that the offer is valid we will go with you to talk with the Hokage." said Zabuza. "You won't get a chance. Kill all the men but capture the women. I will have fun breaking them. The one that brings me Zabuza's head can pick a woman for themselves." said Gato. Before the thugs could move they were hit with a massive Killer Intent. Looking at the source they see its coming from Naruto. "You will not hurt my precious people. Flareon use Flamethrower. Wind Style Great Breakthrough. Flareon's Wraith." yelled Naruto as he released Flareon. Before the thugs could react half of them were turned to ash and another 30 had severe burns and were unconscious or died from their injuries. The remaining thugs started to panic seeing the damage that was done so quickly. Some charged toward Naruto, some ran away in terror, and a few were frozen in place from fear. Seeing some running at him Naruto grabbed Honedge and charged at them as well. As he got closer called out, "Night Slash." Naruto cut through not just the first thug but the one behind him as well. Naruto was now surrounded by 5 thugs all swinging their swords to end his life. Before they could connect Naruto said, "Protect." All the swords just bounced off the translucent barrier that formed around him. "Brutal Swing." called Naruto as he cut down the 5 thugs. Seeing 5 of them defeated in one swing caused the rest of the thugs to run away. Naruto walked towards Gato causing Gato to stumble backwards and fall on his butt. "Please don't hurt me. I will give you anything you want money woman you just have to name it." said Gato in fear. "You have nothing I want Gato. It's time for you to die." said Naruto. Hearing Naruto saying that caused Gato to quickly stand up and run. "Aerial Ace." called Naruto as he closed the gap with Gato and removed his head. Taking a few deep breaths to calm himself Naruto turned back to the others on the bridge. "Tazuna wave is now free from Gato. said Naruto.
After the fight on the bridge. The villagers celebrated for 3 days strait. It took another 2 weeks to finish the bridge after the party died down. After the bridge was finished Team 7, Team 11, Zabuza's group, and Akena and her son said goodbye. Then left for Konoha.
