"I did it again. I did it again. Not that I'm counting but I saved your hide again. As much as it kills you to say it let's hear a little thank you." Taka says as he is walking with Alexis and Mufasa.
"You want a thank you? For pushing me off a waterfall?" Mufasa asks as and Alexis rolls her eyes irritated with the two males.
"Yes and you're welcome. Look it's not my 's are simply attracted to you. I did it again. I did it again." Taka says as he laughs before Alexis perks her ears up hearing something.
"Can you two be quiet for five minutes?" Alexis asks as she growls looking around.
"Is it.. is it them? Is it the outsiders?" Taka asks as Mufasa sniffs around as well.
"No she's right there." Mufasa says as he looks forward some brush.
"She?" Taka asks.
"There's no place to run. We have your scent." Mufasa says.
"My scent? I've been stalking you two all night and that little outsider of yours." A female voice says as Alexis looks around.
"That's not possible." Taka says.
"Then why did I circle you three times in this wood while you two were chasing each other's tails?" The female says as the group growls.
"I told you two to be quiet." Alexis says as she looks at Mufasa and Taka before a female lioness comes out of the brush.
"So. Still think I'm afraid?" The female asks.
"Why are you following us?" Mufasa asks.
"I was hoping to find my pride." The female says.
"What happened to them?" Mufasa asks.
"The outsiders like your friend there happened." The female says as she looks at Alexis.
"I'm not their friend. I'm just traveling with them. But I'm not a threat. For the time being." Alexis says.
"A few of us got away but you're the only other lions I've seen. You two better keep moving and you'd be wise not to trust that outsider. She's trouble." The female says as she begins to leave.
"Wait please. My name is Taka son of Obasi. I know what it's like to lose everything. Come with us. We can help you." Taka says as he goes over to the female as Alexis rolls her eyes.
"I don't need any help." The female says as she keeps moving.
"But you don't have anyone." Taka says.
"She does indeed have someone thank you very much." A bird says as he flies down to in front of the female.
"That's Zazu. Don't eat him." The female says protectively.
"You're joking right? That's a prey animal." Alexis says baffled.
"You heard her. Do not eat me. As a recent addition to the king's royal guard I must kindly ask you both to move on. Thank you for stopping by." Zazu says.
"How can your king hire a bird to protect you?" Taka asks in disbelief.
"How high can you fly? Look I needed a scout. Zazu was the last option." The female says.
"Well next to last. Between Albert the iguana and I his majesty decided on the underling with wings and thus I became the lead scout for the princess. It's my third day. Going swimmingly if I may say so myself. Sarabi you can say so as well." Zazu says as he looks at the female.
"Mmm. Proud little thing aren't you?" Alexis asks as she looks at Zazu.
"Why yes I am." Zazu says proudly.
"How far do you think you'll get with a bird?" Mufasa asks.
"How far do you two geniuses think you'll get stumbling around running into each other? And traveling with one of them no doubt." Sarabi says.
"All the way to Melile." Mufasa says.
"Melile is nothing but a myth." Sarabi says.
"It's not a myth." Mufasa says.
"A circle of life and fairy tale herds. You're chasing something that doesn't exist." Sarabi says as Alexis and Taka look at Zazu hungrily.
"I don't know that Melile exists but right now it's the only hope we have." Mufasa says.
"We don't need hope. We need food." Sarabi says as she begins to leave.
"Good job brother. Oh real nice." Taka says as he goes over to Mufasa.
"You two are hopeless." Alexis says as she walks past them before they hear commotion.
"There's trouble in the trees. My first tree was trouble and I am going to pass." Zazu says.
"Come on Sarabi. You too Alexis. I think it looks like there's dinner headed our way." Taka says as the group heads toward the source of the noise.

The group is in the grass stalking a mandrill walking when Mufasa goes up and tries to scare it only for it to look at him and keep walking.
"You can try to run but in afraid you won't get very far." Mufasa says.
"And why would I run from you?" The mandrill asks as Mufasa walks beside it.
"Because we're lions. As in... Lions!" Taka says as he goes over and growls.
"Unfortunately our companion has a point. You are food for us." Alexis says as she and Sarabi go over with Zazu.
"A flea can travel a lion more than a lion can travel a flea." The mandrill says as he chuckles.
"I don't think you understand what's about to happen. There's no place for you to go." Taka says.
"I am going forward." The mandrill says.
"I seriously doubt that." Taka says as he chuckles.
"It is easy to doubt everything when you know nothing." The mandrill says.
"Okay this creature is seriously weird." Alexis says.
"You can turn into a wolf and you're calling it weird?" Taka says as Alexis snarls at him earning a chuckle from him.
"Can we get on with this please?" Sarabi asks.
"I agree. I'm ready to eat." Alexis says.
"If you take my life you will never find Melile." The mandrill says.
"Wait did you say Melile?" Mufasa asks.
"That is where I am going. Toward the light. I've been there many times in my dreams. My brother waits for me there. I've seen the tree. Can picture it. The two of us together again." The mandrill says as the group looks at each other.
"And why would anyone trust a baboon's dream?" Sarabi asks.
"Sometimes a dream is all you have. The only truth that lives in you. Like the memory of a great king." The mandrill says.
"How did you know?" Sarabi asks.
"Okay help us get to Melile and we will let you live. Do we have a deal?" Mufasa asks.
"Nope." The mandrill says.
"What? Why?" Mufasa asks.
"Rafiki will let you live." The mandrill says.
"I've had enough of this." Taka says as he charges at the mandrill before Mufasa stops him.
"Taka do not eat him." Mufasa says.
"Wonderful. Another misfit stray were not supposed to eat." Taka says annoyedly.
"So you expect us to follow this baboon to a place nobody has ever seen? Ha! I'll be better off alone." Sarabi says.
"Hey dumbassan. A single stick may smoke but it will never burn." Rafiki says as he keeps walking.
"Okay now that there's six of us why don't we all go around and say a fun fact about ourselves? I'll go first. I once had a crush on a flamingo.
I've never said that out loud. And they're walking away. Yeah places to go and kingdoms to see. We're busy. Let's hustle." Zazu says as the group keeps moving.
"Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy?" Taka asks.
"Nope. For once I agree with your crazy tail." Alexis says as she walks beside him.
