Red, was the color that made up the entirety of her world. It was the only color that mattered to her anymore, and it was the only color that ever gave her shelter from all of the horrible things she had done.
If she ever tried to stop seeking out that beautiful color and live normally, her dreams would only haunt and torment her leaving her sleepless and shivering. The only dreams that warded off her night terrors were the scarce recollection of a green-haired boy with freckles consoling her as a child.
"It's not the bird, but I've got that color in me so taste it all you want! I'm not hurt and I want you to so it's okay," the sweet watery smile the boy always had never ceased to bring a gentle smile to Himiko's face.
And just like always her smile was wiped away with her mother's words.
"Toga! What are you doing to Izuku!?" The pair jolted apart as they heard Himiko's mom yell in frightful anger.
"Izu said I could," the girl panted with a smile, red dribbling down her chin, and the blush spreading farther over her face.
"Stop it! Don't make that face it's horrible, how could you do that to him after his mother brought him over to play with you? When your father gets home I'll have him set you straight! In the meantime stay away from Izuku while I call his mother."
Himiko always frowned at the tears coming to her younger self's face, those days she had been quick to cry at her mother's words. It had been a miracle she hadn't burst into tears right there in front of the little boy. Oh how far she had come.
"What's wrong Himi-chan?" The boy, Izuku, asked approaching the girl.
"Is there something wrong with me Izu?" She asked her eyes dull with the echo of what her mother had said about her face.
Izuku fidgeted for a moment petting the bird in his hands before looking at Himiko," I like you the way you are! You always smile, like All Might and he's super cool so you are too!"
The tears that came to her face that day had been the first happy tears she had ever shed in her life, to her knowledge this had been the only time her smile had ever wavered in front of the green-haired boy back then.
"Y-you d-don't think my s-smile is creepy?" She sobbed happily rubbing at her eyes.
Izuku frowned, for a moment seemingly remembering her smile and not hesitating with his answer," I think it's cute."
Himiko woke gently from her sleep tears falling down her cheeks at one of the only happy memories she had to hold on to. Himiko stretched her arms over her head feeling the satisfying pop of her joints as the tension from her sleep unwound.
She looked around the room looking at the posters of female heroes and the odd pop idle. The room wasn't exactly decorated like she'd like it to be, but it would do, after all, it's not like this was her room.
Himiko threw the covers aside looking at her smooth pale skin, the gentle curve of her chest, and the smooth texture of her bare legs. The only clothing she ever wore when she slept was her bra and panties, if she didn't the night sweats always made sleeping with clothes very uncomfortable.
"I wonder what I'm wearing today," Himiko giggled to herself skipping over to the room's closet.
Inside was an assortment of dresses, shirts, and neatly kept shoes. Himiko looked through the shirts finding only a few that she mildly liked, and a few dresses that looked acceptable, but what caught her eye was a school uniform with a yellow sweater that would most likely be a little large on her.
"Oooh, I like this," Himiko smiled her always pleasant blush spreading over her cheeks.
As she dressed herself Himiko suppressed the urge to twirl at her reflection, but something seemed to be missing that she couldn't put her finger on. Then it came to her," silly I've gotta fix my hair!"
A long while of fidgeting with her hair and a few failed attempts at putting her hair up finally paid off with a pair of messy buns that she found satisfactory. The uneven cut she had made to her bangs annoyed her slightly but it wasn't too noticeable and she found it a bit cute.
After her long morning ritual, Himiko finally left the room entering the hallway. A long stretch of hallway greeted her, and she passed a plethora of family photos that she want in, but that was only natural after all this wasn't her house. The sprayed red marring the pictures closer to the front door cast a grim visage for most people, but it only made the home look more welcome to her.
"I'm heading out, bye!" Himiko yelled back into the house as she walked out the front door and shut it behind her.
"I wonder where I should go today? Maybe I can go to the usual place and watch some fights in the city. Maybe I'll even see some blood!"
In the end, Himiko had been severely disappointed, the only fight she had seen was a huge lady kicking the crap out of some guy with a mutation quirk. And the dumb heroes and villains hadn't bled even a little bit.
Himiko's cheeks puffed up in annoyance," that's so boring, what's the point of fighting if there's no blood."
Himiko had wandered around the city like she normally did, looking for a promising person to stab a little. Today had been disappointing, to say the least, not a single person had caught her eye. She kicked at a dumpster next to her annoyed that she had to stab someone she didn't find cute at all.
The guy had been stupid enough to hit on her and when she had told him to beat it he got mad. She wouldn't have cared how pissed the idiot got but when he grabbed her she just had to stab him a couple of times. He looked a lot better all covered in blood, but no matter how much blood the guy was covered in he just wasn't her type. She hated pushy guys the most.
The shadowed alley she was in might has been chilly if she hadn't chosen the sweater she currently had on. Himiko was cleaning the blood off of her favorite switchblade when a huge *BANG* startled her and sent her leaping across the alley. Her knife was pointed at the source, but all she saw was the now-closed lid to the dumpster she had been beside.
Cautiously approaching she kicked at the dumpster and heard a low-groan come from inside.
"Someone in there? I'm warning you now if you jump at me I'll stab ya a little bit," she said reaching for the lid and flipping it back to peer inside.
What she saw made her breath hitch in her throat allowing only a single word to escape," Izu?"
Izuku's eyes fluttered open as he heard a familiar but somehow different voice whisper something disbelievingly. Looking around stiffly Izuku noticed his surroundings, bags of black plastic, and walls of rusty metal surrounded him making him realize what had happened.
A broken laugh escaped his wheezing lips," I-I can't e-even kill myself right," he half laughed half cried to himself.
"Izu?" The voice asked again making his head jerk way too fast to the source of the noise. What he saw made his eyes widen and his lip quiver in unbelieving hatred for his luck.
"T-Toga-chan," he couldn't find any more in words besides the girl's name.
There was no way he had the wrong person, the old nickname that only she had ever used, the blonde hair, her golden catlike eyes, and the fanged teeth peeking out from her disbelieving pale pink lips.
"It is you Izu!" She yelled jumping for joy and clapping her hands.
Izuku stared in utter disbelief at the girl's odd fidgety dance she was doing before she skipped closer to him in the dumpster.
"What're you doing in here Izu? I haven't seen ya in forever and I find you here of all places? I gotta say I pictured you hanging out in places more… clean."
Izuku stared at the girl with utter indignation," I'm not in this dumpster 'cause I wanna be," he complained.
"Then why are you in it?" Toga-chan looked up at the sheer wall of the building the dumpster was placed against. There was no fire escape going up this side and she seemed to be thinking about something before she looked at Izuku with a mixture of horror and an odd blush that spread across her face.
"Were you-" her question was cut off as Izuku quickly looked away from her in shame and sorrow. This was just great one of the only people he was fairly sure any good opinion of him had probably just been lost.
"Yeah," he whispered trying to reach up and pull himself out of the dumpster, but just as his fingers scrapped the side of the dumpster his side flared in unbearable pain.
Looking at his aching side Izuku could see the jagged edge of a gash tearing through his school uniform and staining his white undershirt red. Izuku laughed brokenly yet again not believing his luck," I can't even die the way I wanted. I guess I'll bleed to death here, I guess it makes sense a stupid Deku like me couldn't do anything right."
Toga seemed to stare at Izuku for a few seconds, specifically, at his open wound freely bleeding into the dumpster he was laying inside. Himiko licked her lips nervously before approaching Izuku and holding her hands out to him.
"I'll help you out this time, come on give me your hands Izu."
He stared at the girl for a moment through his green mop of hair," okay," he whispered meekly leaning forward and grasping her hands as tightly as he could in his current condition.
The warm soft texture of the girl's hands made him blush slightly before the painful pull of her arms and his leaning caused him to cry out in pain. Himiko didn't let up though she continued to pull Izuku out of the dumpster until he finally fell forward out of the metal container, bringing her with him to the ground.
"S-sorry," Izuku stuttered painfully pushing himself off of and away from Himiko," a-are you okay?"
She seemed to be staring at him in utter disbelief before she looked back down to his bleeding side that he pressed his free hand into so he could stem the bleeding.
"I-I'm fine Izu, but what about you? You're bleeding," as she stared at Izuku's wound he could see the light in her eyes at the sight.
"I'll be fine, I think it's just a cut. It'll heal. D-do you still like blood Toga-chan?" Izuku asked carefully not knowing how she would react.
The fast snap of her head made her neck pop as she changed her gaze from Izuku's side to his questioning face," y-yeah sorry I'll stop staring. I know it makes people uncomfortable."
Izuku didn't quite know what to say, her stare didn't exactly make him uncomfortable in the way she probably thought, it was more of the fact no girl had looked at him with anything other than disgust in a long time. Well except for his mom anyway.
"I-It's fine," he said surprising the girl," I don't know if you r-remember but back when we were kids I s-said you could taste it if you wanted to. So looking isn't a problem."
Her eyes seemed to glow in the dark alleyway as she gazed openly at Izuku's wound. Her eyes flickered up to Izuku's face and then the wound before she crawled over to his sitting form across from her. A gentle hand with delicate fingers reached to his side before retracting in uncertainty.
"Can I still, you know?"
Izuku frowned in confusion for a moment before he realized what she meant. She wanted to taste the blood. For a moment Izuku's bright red face nearly made him pass out from the unbelievable embarrassment, and then the absurdity of that concept made him laugh.
"W-what," Himiko asked confused for a second, and then a glare tore her pretty features from her face and made her look like a snarling leopard," oh I get it you're making fun of me! The freak wants some blood let's laugh at her. That right?"
Izuku clutched at his side in pain when the laughter left him at her expression," n-no sorry, I was laughing at myself. For a second I was embarrassed you wanted to taste my blood. But I'm fine now you can go ahead," he smiled dumbly looking at the girl.
Her snarl had left her face leaving another disbelieving look in its place. Her hand slowly approached Izuku's side gingerly making contact and slipping through the tear in his shirt.
Izuku's bright red blush returned but this time with a coloration of pain to it as Himiko gently pressed her hand against his wound. The bright blood smeared her hand making it look as if she had gone a little crazy finger painting.
Himiko and Izuku both gazed at one another as she withdrew her hand and slowly brought it up to her face to take a deep smell. Then her tongue gently parted her lips as it traced up the length of her hand taking a large portion of Izuku's blood with it. The wide content smile that spread across Himiko's face made Izuku blush even deeper if that was at all possible.
"I-Is it that good," he asked watching her take a few smaller laps at the blood.
"Soooo good," she swooned placing her clean hand on her cheek in contentment.
"I guess I'm a little glad," Izuku sighed rubbing the back of his head with a dumb smile he had no idea was on his face.
"Can I taste it directly," she asked the light in her eyes intensifying with its fervor.
"T-That's a little-" Izuku trailed off looking at the girls wide pleading eyes and pouting face leaning extremely close to his own making him wrap his arms around his head to hide from her gaze," I-I guess that'd be all right!"
"Yay! Thank you Izu!" She giggled happily crawling so close to Izuku she was practically laying in his lap. Her right arm wrapped around Izuku's side and her left lifted his shirt slightly so she could easily access his cut.
If Izuku had thought he was close to passing out earlier that feeling was nothing to how he felt now. Himiko's tongue was tracing the blood that had flowed down his side before gently licking the blood from his pale skin. And then her tongue flattened trailing along the wound itself sending jolts of pain and odd pleasure at the contact up his spine.
"T-Toga-chan this is a little embarrassing," Izuku gasped feeling Himiko's chest press into his legs. As she pulled away from Izuku he found himself missing the closeness, but then the girl pulled a pink bunny-printed bandaid out of the pockets of her sweater and promptly slapped it over Izuku's wound.
Slowly Himiko lifted herself off of Izuku licking her lips in satisfaction," all better! Now I'll help you up."
As she stood Himiko grabbed onto Izuku's hands pulling him up almost as if he weighed nothing. The girl must be a lot stronger than she looked even though she was a few inches shorter than Izuku himself.
"So, why'd you do that," she asked very bluntly cocking her head to the side like a curious cat.
"D-do what? Let you drink my blood?" He asked knowing full well what she meant.
She didn't seem to fall for his deflection at all as she walked pulling him along and towards the exit of the alley.
"You know what I mean Izu, and don't pretend you don't."
"Y-you probably didn't know this because we were friends a long time ago and it was before I even knew. But I'm quirkless."
Himiko's slight wince affirmed she hadn't known but did show she remembered what he always used to talk about," so it's about wanting to be a hero."
The way she said it with certainty made Izuku himself wince at the boiled-down simplicity.
"I-it's not just that, it hasn't been easy for me. You're still one of my only friends and we haven't seen each other in years I don't even know if you still consider me a friend it's been so long. You've probably had tons of friends since me, I mean why wouldn't you? You're really pretty and you always smile, so you must right?"
Himiko's wide teasing smile was slightly discolored with sadness," sorry Izu you're the only friend I've made since we were kids."
"R-really?" Izuku asked confused.
"Yep, now don't get off track! What's the whole story?"
"Well… I guess I always knew it'd be hard to become a hero without a quirk, and I thought I was completely prepared for an uphill battle to reach my dream. But it's been more like trying to climb a mountain in flip-flops and shorts, rather than walking up a hill. This entire time everyone has been saying I need to be realistic and admit I can't do it. Well not everyone has been like that mom doesn't tell me to give up, but she hasn't ever said I can do it either. Kacchan has been the worst probably."
"Kacchan? You got a boyfriend I should know about Izu? I think we just did something he wouldn't approve of if he saw it," Himiko grinned widely at Izuku making his face flair up again.
"I-It's not like that! Kacchan is just what I've called him since we were kids! I met you first but I've known him longer, we've gone to the same schools since my mom and I moved."
"You don't exactly seem happy about that," Himiko said noticing Izuku's tone.
"W-well he hasn't exactly been nice since I found out I wouldn't ever get a quirk. He got a really flashy and cool quirk so he'll probably be able to become a hero."
"So? What's that got to do with you?"
"He's not exactly happy I didn't just give up immediately on being a hero when we learned I wouldn't get a quirk. He's been a lot meaner since we were kids, and since he's one of the most popular people in school because of his quirk a lot of people follow his example. So it's been hard, but I've always powered through no matter what."
"What changed," Himiko asked still gripping Izuku's hand as they walked down the sidewalk.
"I-I think the first thing that got to me was the new writing I found on my desk."
Izuku could feel Himiko's fingers tighten in his own.
"They said I should kill myself, obviously I wouldn't but that's the first time anyone had ever said it even indirectly to me. I ignored it, but I knew it was only going to get worse because today was when we'd go over our career choices in homeroom and Kacchan found out I applied to U.A. He wasn't exactly happy about it. He stopped me after class and told me to give up on U.A. or he'd beat me up and when I didn't say I would he destroyed my hero notebook and punched me. Then he told me to jump off the roof so I could get a quirk in my next life."
Himiko's hand had tightened into a death grip on Izuku's making him wince," that isn't why you did that is it?"
"N-No, I was depressed but I went to look for more fights to see heroes in action, but I didn't find any, I almost got killed by a villain when it tried using my body to get away from All Might. Thankfully All Might saved me and I wanted to ask him what he thought about my situation, so when he tried jumping away I grabbed a hold of him."
Himiko looked at Izuku like he was insane," you grabbed All Might as he was jumping? A guy that can jump several meters and you grabbed him? You are insane Izu!"
Izuku rubbed the back of his head shyly," I thought so too when I saw how high up we were, but when we landed I asked him what he thought about my situation. Even All Might said if I didn't have a quirk I wouldn't be able to become a hero."
Himiko stopped walking looking at Izuku in disbelief," and that asshole left you up on that roof depressed? Didn't he see how hurt you were when he said that?"
"I don't think so he didn't exactly seem like himself, I think he was thinking about something else when he was talking to me. I don't exactly blame All Might for it, I mean how was he supposed to know him saying that would do this to me?"
A long silence passed between Izuku and Himiko as they walked they could both see a crowd gathered in the distance watching something.
"Are you still going to do it?" Himiko asked looking at Izuku very seriously her blush was gone and her mouth was set into a thin line.
"I-I don't know it's not like a lot has changed," Izuku stared at his feet as they walked closer and closer to the crowd of people.
"I don't care what All Might said," Himiko said stopping Izuku and standing in front of the boy," you don't know it but you've always been my hero Izu! Every time my mom said I wasn't normal or told me to stop smiling I always thought about how you said my smile was cool and that you thought I was cute. So to me, you're already a hero!"
Izuku's face seemed to be on fire almost all the time when Himiko was near him, and it only became worse when he saw the bashful expression the girl herself had on her face. Most interactions he had with Himiko made her seem a bit aloof but now she was blushing as embarrassedly as Izuku himself.
"T-thank you for saying that Toga-chan," Izuku smiled.
Himiko's cheeks puffed up in annoyance at him," that's another thing Izu! Call me Himi-chan like you used to!"
"W-what? I c-couldn't do t-that!"
"But you call that bullying asshole Kacchan, so you can call me Himi-chan."
"I- alright," Izuku's face and ears felt like they were glowing," Himi-chan."
The girl's toothy grin was wiped away when a loud explosion rocked the two teenagers where they stood.
"What the heck!" Izuku yelled running over to the crowd and commotion Himiko's hand still held tight to his own.
"What's going on," Izuku asked no one in particular in the crowd.
"A villain took a kid hostage, looks like the kid is trying to fight back with his quirk but it doesn't look like it does anything to the sludge guy. The heroes can't get close every time they do the kid lets off explosions."
Izuku's heart caught in his throat at the familiar sound of explosions he was hearing,' no way. What are the odds it would be him and the same villain?"
But just as Izuku had thought peering through the crowd Izuku caught sight of the familiar murky green of the villain that had nearly killed him earlier, and peeking out from beneath the villain's body was a familiar head of blonde hair and red eyes.
"Kacchan," Izuku whispered looking on in horror.
'But All Might caught that villain earlier! Don't tell me when I grabbed onto All Might earlier I knocked the villain loose! T-This is my fault! Where's All Might? He must have noticed. No even if he did I think All Might has already used up his time for today, he's not coming to help. What about the other heroes? Yeah, someone will come and help there's no way they'll leave Kacchan like that for much longer right?'
Izuku's frantic thinking was cut short when his eyes met Kacchan's frantic and scared gaze through his frenzied struggle.
'Why? Why the hell did you have to look at me like that?'
Izuku's hand let go of Himiko's in an instant so quickly and unexpectedly that she couldn't grab him in time before he was already through the crowd and approaching the sludge villain.
Izuku ran for all he was worth, the adrenaline of his action and the wound on his side urging him to go faster than he normally could.
In a fraction of a second Izuku had analyzed his approach to the villain, remembering how wasted his attempts at scrabbling on this villain's slime were earlier.
'Think idiot! Think! His eyes! They look different than the rest of his body, they must be different than the slime. What do I have?'
Izuku reached over his shoulder noting he still wore his backpack and it somehow hadn't broken during his fall earlier.
'I'm gonna look like an old lady fighting off a purse snatcher but screw it,' Izuku slung his backpack off his shoulder and brought it around into a wide overhead swing that impacted the villain's eyes. A loud popping sound met Izuku's ears as he pulled the bag back and noticed the scissors he often carried inside had pierced the bag during his fall. Looking back at the villain he saw that he had punctured one of the eyes causing the villain to scream in pain.
"Aaaaagh! You little shit! I'm gonna kill you," and Izuku didn't doubt he'd carry out his threat. So Izuku began scooping glob after glob of slime off of the villain's body slowly freeing Kacchan.
"D-Deku you dumbass what are you doing!?"
"I-I don't know! When I saw you Kacchan, I just knew I couldn't let you die my feet just moved on their own," Izuku's watery smile and frenzied scooping energized Kacchan to send explosion after explosion into the slime surrounding him.
They were both making steady progress until a tentacle with jagged pieces of glass and metal swung toward Izuku ready to take his head off or seriously injure him.
A booming impact washed over Izuku nearly sending him tumbling away. The look on his face must have been priceless because when he looked at his body feeling it over for more wounds that he didn't find he was dumbstruck. And then he heard a familiar voice.
"I really am pathetic!"
"All Might!"
"I told you what it would take to be a hero and I couldn't even live up to my own ideals," in a flurry of motion All Might grabbed Kacchan by his arm pulling him free of the sludge villain," pros are always risking there lives! That's the true test of a hero!"
"Damn you, All Might!" The villain yelled swinging his arm around to strike at the hero.
Faster than Izuku could see All Might's fist was flying at breakneck speed," Detroit Smash!"
A thunderous gale of wind flew into the villain scattering his mass in viscous splatters all over the street. The resulting tornado tore up and over the crowd of on-lookers as Mt. Lady shielded them with her body. Even behind the force of the wind, Izuku felt close to flying away if it wasn't for All Might's steady form shielding him from the wind.
When the tornado finally dissipated All Might stood, his fist smoking from the sheer velocity it had reached. But the towering man was also panting heavily, so Izuku knew part of the steam was his body trying to revert to the skeletal form he had seen earlier.
"A-All Might are you oka-" but before Izuku could finish his worried question he felt the world spin around him and the ground rush to meet his face.
"Izu!"
'Himiko? Why are you yelling? All Might saved Kacchan.'
It had been nearly two hours since Izuku had been dumb enough to run in like a madman, swinging his backpack at an extremely dangerous villain. When things had finally calmed down and he had woken up the pros had given him a thorough chewing out for his reckless behavior. They'd been even more angry when they learned Izuku had a really bad cut on his side. Meanwhile, they praised Kacchan for his bravery and the sheer power of his quirk.
'I guess that makes sense. It's not like Kacchan ran into that villain on purpose I'm the idiot that did that after knowing how dangerous it was.'
Once he had left the pro heroes behind to head home he met Himiko who was a large distance away from the crowd.
"What're you doing back here?" Izuku asked curiously.
"I would've come over but I'm kinda a criminal so I thought it'd be better if I stayed back even if I was super worried about you," her wide smile made Izuku wonder if she was being serious.
'No way, Toga-chan is a little weird but she's not a bad person.'
"Well I'm heading home I bet moms worried about me. Do you want me to walk you home first Toga-chan?"
"It's Himi-chan," she said crossing her arms and pulling out her phone," I can make it to my house but thanks Izu, so let's exchange numbers! I lost track of you for a long time before you're not getting away from me now!"
Izuku smiled wide at the girl pulling his phone out of his pocket. While the phone hadn't survived the deadly fall from earlier without taking a couple of cracks along its screen, it could miraculously still turn on and function properly.
"Here's my number Izu!" Toga-chan said smiling very happily.
"G-Got it and h-here's mine," as Izuku was showing Himiko his phone number the pair were interrupted by All Might sliding into view.
"I am here, in a surprising manner!"
The pair jumped close to one another very surprised by All Might. Neither Izuku nor All Might noticed but Himiko had quickly taken out her switchblade and then pocketed it again when she realized who had scared her.
"Ah, sorry young man, was I interrupting you and your girlfriend?" All Might asked rubbing the back of his head.
"She's not my girlfriend!"
"Not at all!"
Both Izuku and Himiko looked at one another. Izuku was surprised at Himiko's answer, and Himiko just smiled wolfishly at Izuku.
"I think All Might wants to talk with ya privately Izu, I'll message you later if that's alright," Himiko laughed skipping away from the pair.
"B-Bye," Izuku waved his head spinning at the thought Himiko hadn't corrected All Might.
"She seems cheerful. Listen don't take this the wrong way kid, but that girl and you don't seem like an obvious match at all," All Might said shaking his head in wonder.
"N-No I agree I'm r-really shy and Toga-chan is outgoing and smilie, kinda like you All Might."
All Might quickly covered his mouth trying not to laugh, making his body have a fake tremble," come on if you say stuff like that with a straight face you might just kill me."
"S-Sorry, so what did you come over to talk to me about All Might?"
"Young man I think an apology is in order. You see I had stagnated and my ideals had slowly eroded along with my body, and I shouldn't have so callously reproached your dream when I wasn't even living up to my own."
"Y-You don't have to say that All Might, I mean you were right after all. I mean I was useless trying to save Kacchan back there," Izuku said looking down dejectedly to his red sneakers.
All Might's hand rested on Izuku's shoulder just the weight of the hand nearly floored the boy," that's simply not true young man! Had you not run in when you did I would've been content to stay on the sidelines allowing that boy to suffer until someone else came along to save him. And I'm all technicality you DID come along to save him. I know what I said earlier, but even I can be wrong. I've always heard stories about the greatest heroes who've ever lived and every one of them said their body moved as if unconsciously when another person was in danger. Your body did that exact thing, and I have to say I am proud to have witnessed your awakening, Izuku Midoriya you have what it takes to be a hero!"
Unbidden tears rose to Izuku's face and spilled out causing him to bawl in earnest at the words of his long-time idol," th-thank you so much All Might!"
"Whoa whoa kid, cool the waterworks this is hardly how I wanted this conversation to go!"
"S-Sorry I've just been waiting to hear that all my life," Izuku's crying slowed and eventually stopped when he realized he had heard it not once today but twice. Once from Himiko who had never stopped believing in him, and now All Might. Maybe he was a little shadowed by his initial denial but Himiko's opinion seemed to matter a little more in his head than All Might's.
"So what do ya think kid? Wanna be a hero and inherit my quirk?"
"Huh? Huh? HUUUUUUUH!"
A/N: Okay so doing this has been a real pain! I've edited and re-uploaded this chapter so many times it's starting to piss me off. I understand some people will have a problem with the way I right and Icompletely understand fixing any grammatical mistakes and punctuation errors. But I'm gonna be honest and tell you right now Ican't be bothered to fix any sentences that don't make sense to you individually. I have ADHD and writingis a way for me to lose all that excess energy and while I'm more than happy to fix the errorsI myself would want fixedI'm not going to go back through and revise the whole damn thing, becauseIdon't just post my stories on this site. So enjoy this new version of chapter 2 with little to hopefully no spelling mistakes.
