At 10 to 6, Michael stepped into the bedroom. She didn't understand why, until he came out once again wearing his suit and tie. She felt herself become aroused again instantly but knew that would have to wait. Taking her hand, he guided her back to the shuttle station, putting her finger on the screen to direct the shuttle back to HCU.

"This place is awesome," Jodie said to Colin, as they returned to their suite after coffee with Joanne. "She's lovely, Joanne."

"Yeah, she is," Colin said. "She was absolutely fabulous the day Charlotte got attacked, she comforted me and dad."

"I'm really sorry about Charlotte, Cole," Jodie said quietly. "I wish there was something, anything I could do for you guys."

"I know, thanks, Jodie." He sat beside her and put his arm around her again. Butterflies exploded in Jodie's stomach, and she knew this was it. Danielle was right, she had to make her move. If Danielle could love a serial killer after all she'd been through, plus she was right life was too short, then Jodie was indeed just wasting time.

"Cole," she murmured, looking him straight in the eyes. "I need to tell you something, but I'm not sure how."

"Just give it your best shot," he smiled at her.

Fuck it! Jodie thought. There aren't any words for this!

"Ok," she said simply, before leaning forward and taking his lips with hers.

When they all arrived at the staff canteen at 6 that evening, Danielle could tell immediately Jodie's mood had changed. "You're glowing, Craig," she sang. "What happened?"

"You were right, D," Jodie said, as Colin and Michael approached them, having stepped back for a quick greeting.

"How are you, Michael?" Colin asked.

I am fine, yourself?

"Can't complain," he lowered his voice, leaning towards Michael. "Listen man, I know we talked on the phone, but I have to say this in person. I…"

Colin, no. There's no need. You already apologised, it's all ok. For my part, I am sorry I pushed you into that wall. I should've controlled my emotions.

"Shit man, I asked for and deserved it! I'm surprised you didn't do worse! I know I did, but…"

It's fine, really.

Michael chuckled softly, pulling Colin into a brief hug. Colin smiled and hugged him back, before the two men shook hands and approached the table and the three women.

"Life is too short. So, I did it! I kissed Colin earlier!"

"Yay, super fucking yay!" Danielle whooped, jumping up and hugging her friend. "I told you; I told you!"

Colin sat beside Jodie and immediately took her hand, as Michael did the same to Danielle. "Aww, love is in the air," Joanne smiled.

"Jodie kissed Colin," Danielle said to Michael, almost bouncing in her seat. "About fucking time! I've been telling you guys that for the last almost week, not to mention years!"

"Yeah ok," Jodie blushed, and looked up to see Myers smiling slightly at her.

"I wish I'd done it months ago," Colin said quietly. "You know I've always thought the world of you, Jodie."

"That's exactly what I said! Yay!"

Jodie could hardly believe it when she looked across the table, and locked eyes with none other than Michael Myers. She smiled shyly at him, her face heating up. "You're blushing," Joanne teased her.

"Yeah sorry," Jodie went, if possible, even redder. "I just never thought I'd be meeting Michael Myers! I… I'm thrilled to meet you, Mr. Myers! Michael raised his notepad.

Mr. Myers?

For a second, Jodie wasn't sure what Colin and Joanne were looking at. "The notepad," Colin poked her shoulder. "Michael's… well, talking to you."

"Shit," Jodie blushed again. "Sorry, Mr. Myers." She glanced at the message. "Um, well, I…"

My name is Michael, Jodie. You did not say, "Yo, Mr. Myers," earlier, did you?"

Brother and sister cracked up; Colin having read the message to his sister. "He's got you there," Danielle giggled.

"Ah fucking hell," Jodie hid her face behind her napkin. "Alright, alright! Shut the fuck up you two bitches!"

The four talked for hours, Michael writing occasionally. That was when Joanne asked the dreaded question. "So, how did you and Jodie meet? What's the story?"

"Oh, bloody hell," Danielle sighed, and Jodie grinned.

"Are you sure you want to hear this? I don't think Mr. Myers… sorry, Michael will like it much!"

"Fucking right," Colin agreed fervently. "Now they really were bitches! But we warned her that if she didn't tell you Michael, we would!"

Danielle opened her mouth and haltingly began to tell the story of Shannon, Rowan, Lisa and Emily. Everything from the Braille squishing to the physical pushes, then the night Jodie had saved her from a serious beating. But when Jodie pulled out her phone and showed them the videos, she'd last heard on the ground almost 6 years ago, she was speechless. "You kept them?"

"Well yeah," Jodie said. "How did I know they wouldn't come back and try to finish the job someday? But I think I can delete them now, right? Something tells me, you're completely safe now."

"Right," Colin nodded. "Unless they've made funeral arrangements already if they're planning something now!"

"I'm so sorry." Joanne hugged her, as she and Michael looked at Jodie's phone screen.

"Thanks," Danielle squeezed her back, before pulling her ears again.

"Get off," Joanne snickered. "Of my, "Cute?" Ears!"

"Oh God," Colin and Jodie groaned in unison, and they could hear Michael chuckling. "Nice, small, cute…" Colin rolled his eyes. "What about Jodie's?"

She pulled Jodie's ears. "They kick ass!"

"Not to mention and I quote, "Sexy as all hell," Jodie finished, causing her, Joanne and Colin to double over in laughter. Joanne told them of the stunt Michael had pulled when Rick had inadvertently said that without the quote, and Jodie nearly fell off her chair.

"Well, they are," Danielle said defensively, gently pulling Michael's ears, as he wiggled them. "Shut the fuck up," she muttered, as Michael also laughed out loud.

"So," Jodie continued after a while. "Those bitches had her on the ground, about to seriously beat her, maybe unconscious. I'd been watching for ages, but I meant what I said that night, D. You've got more balls than all of them put together! So, um, I, produced a flick knife." Jodie saw Michael looking straight at her now, and she met his eye contact fully this time. "Yeah, I seriously was tempted to fucking stab them!"

"Would you have?"

"If they'd kept beating you up, fuck yes I would have!"

"To kill them?" Colin asked.

"No, just to get them to stop. Maybe seeing a little of their own blood would scare them. Luckily though, I didn't have to."

"Can you kill with a flick knife?"

"Yes," Joanne and Jodie said together, as Michael raised his notepad.

If you stab in the right place, correct.

"Jesus," Colin whistled, after Joanne read out Michael's message.

"Yeah, you should know," Jodie said quietly to Michael, but with no hostility. "My flick knife is a toy compared to yours!"

When the meal was over, Danielle poked Jodie's shoulder, knowing what she wanted. "Do it," she sang.

"Bitch," Jodie muttered, swiping her hand away, before the two started to laugh. "Mr. Myers… shit! Michael, do you mind if I have a quick… conversation with you?"

Colin and Danielle grinned at each other, as Colin took his sister's hand and guided her to a table a little further away, Joanne joining them. "So, Jodie kissed you?" She hugged her brother. "About time! You guys have been dancing on it for months! Although," she spoke gently now. "She was genuinely afraid to approach you, sure you wouldn't want to know."

"What?" Colin asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, I know. She was afraid that because of how she acts with friends and her little record, you wouldn't want anything to do with being with her."

"That's bullshit," Colin said. "I've loved Craig for longer than I can remember. Damn, now I really wish I'd told her sooner."

"It was heartbreaking actually, seeing Jodie so vulnerable, convinced you didn't see her like that."

"I will soon prove her wrong," Colin said, and both women smiled at him.

"That's what I wanted to hear," Danielle hugged him again.

"Mr. Myers, I'm Jodie Craig, I…" Jodie was stopped, as Michael lightly touched her arm.

Mr. Myers? I'm Michael. I assume I may call you Jodie.

"Yes Sir," Jodie nodded.

I'm not, "Sir," either. Jodie, my name is Michael."

"Sorry," Jodie blushed again. "I teased Danielle so much when I saw your pictures, yes I did say you are fucking hot," she muttered, mortified. "Especially in that damn suit and tie!" She was sure she heard Michael chuckle.

Well, I thank you.

"You're welcome," Jodie's face was now so red, she was sure he'd feel the heat coming from it from across the table. "The thing is, Mr… Michael, I'm a true crime podcaster, and I… I'd love to do an episode saying I've met you. I'm not asking you to do anything, I just wanted your consent." Now he was smiling at her, she was sure of it.

Are you indeed?

"Yes," she smiled nervously back. "I've heard other people talk about you, of course I have, but I would love to say I've met you and like to be able to prove it."

How, may I ask?

"Can I get a picture taken with you? Please?" Michael sighed and rolled his eyes but chuckled. "I'm serious, you're a celebrity in the crime world! Your silence, the way you creep, then kill, you're fucking terrifying! I… I've been fascinated with you since I started my content."

Is that so? Tell me, how long have you been doing said content?

She considered. "It will be 5 years soon; I started it when I was 18. I… I've interviewed people who survived you that night in 1978, yes, including Laurie Strode."

Hmm. What did she have to say for herself?

Jodie pulled out her phone, turning up the volume and finding the episode in question. Unable to help themselves, the other three stepped closer to listen too. Seeing this, Jodie turned the volume up further, then the phone so they could all hear.

"I'm honoured you've agreed to give me this interview, Miss Strode. If I'm correct, this is the first interview you've ever done about your encounter with Michael Myers?"

"Correct," Laurie said, her tone clipped. "There will be some questions however I can and will not answer, Miss Craig."

"Of course, that's fine, Miss Strode. My first question I guess would be, had you heard of Michael Myers before that Halloween night?"

"No, I had no idea who he was."

"Even though you both lived in Haddonfield?"

"You live in Haddonfield, Miss Craig, did you know Michael Myers' name?"

"I was only just born, Miss Strode. Of course I didn't. You were 17, I believe?"

"That is correct."

"What's the story?"

"What do you want me to say? I was a babysitter for some kids, while their parents were out at Halloween parties. I and my friends Anie Bracket, and Lynda Van Der Klok. Michael Myers broke into the house Annie was in, strangled her to death in her car by entering her back seat, before strangling Lynda with a damn phone chord! She was on the phone to me at the damn time. I heard her squealing for help, I thought it was a damn prank call! Myers stuffed her corpse into a damn dumb waiter! He cut our phone line, so I could not call for help. People say Michael Myers is unaware, they are naïve. He is fully aware of what he is doing. He's not mentally insane, he's pure evil. He also positioned his sister's gravestone above Annie's head, having arranged her on a bed."

Colin shivered. "Jesus Christ," he breathed. "I didn't know that. "Fucking hell!"

"He killed Lynda's boyfriend, Bob Simms and suspended him upside down with a rope."

"Have you seen Michael since?"

"Hell no! I wouldn't go within one thousand miles of that man! I say man, he's not a man, he's not human! No man could carry a gravestone single handed! Michael Myers has no feeling, no conscience, he doesn't care for or about anyone. One day, I fear he will come back for me! That's why I warn people to be prepared, this is Michael Myers we're talking about. I am, I'm waiting for him. I've tried to run from him, contain him, I've chased him, I've even tried to forgive him!"

"Do you think you will? Ever forgive him, I mean?"

"He has traumatised me for life. That is a very hard question to answer for certain, Miss Craig. Maybe in time, if I never have to face him in the fight of my life again."

"What would you say to him if you knew he would hear this?"

"The fucking irony," Colin muttered, wondering if Jodie would stop the podcast. However, she didn't, and Colin marvelled at this.

"I think I'd ask him why me," Laurie said, her voice shaking now, the first time throughout the whole interview. "I will ask him if he intends to take my life too eventually, or if I am able to breathe in peace, not under constant fear."

"I actually feel sorry for her," Danielle said quietly.

"Me too," Colin and Joanne said together.

"If you knew there were others out there who wanted to become like Michael Myers, what would you say to them?"

"I'd say don't. Don't shed innocent blood, it's not worth it, and only tears families apart."

When Joann, Jodie and Colin looked at Michael, they could hardly believe their eyes. His had softened, it was unmistakable. "That's you, Danielle," Colin said with pride, hugging her as tightly as he could. "All you!" Michael sighed, looking back at Jodie.

How exactly do you want to prove you've met me? I will not speak.

"Oh, I know Mr. Myers," Jodie said, reaching forward and touching his arm. Colin almost started crying when Michael Myers took Jodie Craig's hand in his. When he told Danielle, she did blink back tears.

I am not, "Mr. Myers."

"Sorry," Jodie blushed again. "I think to tell you the truth, I'm kind of… in awe of who's opposite me. If it hadn't been for Danielle, this would very probably never have been possible sure, but you played your part too, you deserve a fucking load of credit for that. You're not trying to kill me right now, are you? That's you! You're holding my hand, aren't you? That's you!

"Well fucking said," the other three said together. Michael squeezed Jodie's hand, then released it.

So, I ask you again. How, exactly, do you intend to prove this to your listeners?

"Can I have a picture with you?" Jodie almost whispered. "Please? I'd love it for me personally, too."

Michael sighed again, but he was smiling. He stood and approached her, and when he and Jodie stood side by side, Jodie came all the way up to Michael's shoulder. "Damn," she breathed. "I've always wondered how tall I was compared to you. You look good in a suit, too. Please can someone…"

"Got it," Joanne said. A few seconds later, the camera clicked.

"Thank you, Michael," Jodie smiled. "Um, I'm sorry, but I have to…" Next second, Jodie Craig found herself hugging Michael Myers, and he'd put an arm around her. Colin and Joanne smiled at each other.

"Stay still," Joanne said, snapping a picture of their embrace.

"I dare you to post that one on the podcast!"

"Uh, nope," Jodie smiled, squeezing Michael again before stepping back. "I'd probably have the whole of fucking Haddonfield after me!"

The three laughed, and Jodie saw Michael smiling at her. "Thank you, Michael," Jodie said sincerely. "You have no idea how much that meant to me."

Then you are welcome, Jodie. I am going to hazard a guess at the name of the podcast I am about to, albeit visually, feature on. Would I be correct to assume it's Craig Crime?

Danielle and Colin cracked up, holding onto each other for support. "I fucking told you that you needed a new, more original name," she howled with laughter. "Michael got it in one! So original, Craig!"

"Shut up bitch," Jodie muttered, slapping her shoulder. This only made them laugh harder, and Joanne joined in.

"Cole," Jodie said, once their suite door was closed. "Um, will you stay with me?"

"Of course, J, I'm right next…" Colin started.

"No, Cole," Jodie pulled him close and kissed him again. "I mean, stay with me, in this bed?"

"Are you sure?" He said quietly. "I don't want to do anything you're not comfortable with."

"If I wasn't sure, I wouldn't have asked. Now, stop being such a kind gentleman, and please, get in this bed?"

Colin smiled at her. "Ok, Jodie."

As soon as she and Michael were alone, she kissed him so passionately, she felt dizzy, before almost dragging him into the bedroom, pushing him to the bed, almost tearing off his suit, and making love to him more passionately than they ever had before. It was intense, but oh, so good.

Afterwards, Michael texted her again, wiggling his ear on her cheek, and he was also chuckling.

Well, as good as that felt, what was that for?

"Because I love and adore you, Michael Myers! You were so kind to Jodie back there, and you let her have what I know she's privately always wanted, a picture of her with you! She meant what she said, she's been fascinated by you since she knew your name! Then she was brave enough to play the interview with Laurie at your request, I'd have been scared to do that on first meeting you, no shit! But Jodie's got balls of steel, if you hadn't noticed yet! I fucking adore that girl, and you showed her nothing but kindness and respect! I echo her, that was all you. It might have been because you met me, yes, but you could've still killed me! Don't put all your progress down to me, Mr. Michael Myers! Because you did a hell of a lot too, Jodie's right. You deserve a fucking load of credit!"

He chuckled again after her passionate rant, kissing her softly, as they now slipped naked into bed.

Well, I thank you. But one fact remains. It is because I love you.

"You could still have tried to kill me to get rid of those feelings," she countered, pressing tightly against him. "You told me you were considering doing just that. But you didn't, you let it in, you didn't try and fight it. Even when… what happened, happened, you didn't stop me from getting back close to you again."

That… that's because I couldn't! Damn you! You have got into my heart so completely; I still do not fully understand just how.

She kissed him, blinking back tears. "That wasn't me," she murmured. "That was also you, Michael. You could've stopped me, refused to let me in, tried to kill me! Nope, I refuse to take all the credit for this, just as Jodie said!"

Danielle…

"Shh," she whispered, stroking his cheek. "Please, just believe us, accept it. You did so well, Michael. You should be fucking proud of yourself!"

The next morning, just as it had when she'd stayed here with Charlotte, came far too quickly for her liking. She hugged Michael so tightly, it hurt. Colin shook his hand, and Jodie also hugged him.

"It was so nice to meet you Mr. Myers," Jodie said, then blushed. "Fuck! Sorry, Michael!"

Why do you keep calling me Mr. Myers, Jodie?

"Because your name is infamous," Jodie said, in only just above a whisper. "You're known worldwide and… well, to those you don't know or trust, you're fucking terrifying!"

"I told you so," Danielle and Colin said together, Michael rolled his eyes as he sighed.

Fine. But Jodie, I'm Michael to you. Got that?

"Clear as bells," she couldn't help herself hugging him again, and this time kissed his cheek. Gently, he kissed hers back.

After Jodie and Colin had stepped back towards the shuttles to give them privacy, Michael kissed Danielle, holding her close. "I'll see you very soon then," she smiled at him. "I meant what I said last night, you know."

I do not doubt this. I say again, if it's really what you want, then yes, of course.

"I love you, Michael," she kissed him deeply. "Thank you."

You are welcome, very soon to be Mrs. Myers. Text me when you get home, please.

She saw it wasn't a question. "Of course, babe," she kissed him again, not wanting to let go. She feared when she did, she'd start to cry again.

Hey, stop that. Don't cry. It won't be long.

He put her hands on his ears and started to wiggle them and whistled a little tune. She hugged him fiercely, desperately trying not to cry. "G…" she started, but he stopped her.

No. Do not say goodbye to me, there is no need. I will see you very soon, after all. I will simply say, take care, stay safe, have fun, and finally, I love you.

Before she could say anymore, he kissed her one more time, then walked away towards the waiting guard.

"Michael Myers is so much nicer than people paint him," Jodie said with a wink, as they pulled back onto the highway. "I don't know why people make up all that shit about him! I mean, killing his sister? Massacring those teens in 1978? That must be bullshit!" The three chuckled.

She took a deep breath, knowing she had to talk to them about what she and Michael had agreed on. She knew they would be right behind her, but she wanted to get this ball rolling as soon as possible. "Guys," she said without hesitation. "Are either of you in a rush to get back today?"

"No babes," Colin and Jodie said together.

"Can we go into the HH when we get back? I have something I really want to talk to you about, and what better place to do it than over Angela's gorgeous cake and kind company?"

"Sounds like a plan," Jodie said.

"Sure thing," Colin said, smiling at his sister.

Just over three hours later, they were indeed entering the Haddonfield Haven. Angela greeted them all with a hug, before insisting their coffee and cakes were once again free.

"You won't make good business if you keep not charging us," Colin said with a grin.

"That's my choice, however," Angela smiled back. "Now, all of you, sit down!"

"Yes Mom," the three said together, doing as they were told.

"So, D," Jodie said, once they were drinking their hot drinks and eating their cakes. "What did you want to speak to us about?"

"Ok guys, here's the score. Michael and I talked last night, and well, I want to marry him. I mean, soon. Like, maybe next week. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to wait for Charlotte to wake up, but… but as much as I hate it, I also must be realistic! She's not going to for a while, and…"

"I understand sis," Colin took her hand. "If that's what you want, of course I'm right behind you."

"Me too," Jodie took her other hand. "If it's what you want, we'd never stop you, go for it, babes. I'm not asking this as an ulterior motive, but does being Michael's wife give you more access to him?"

"Sadly not. At least I don't think so, Dr Loomis might prove me wrong though. If he got transferred to Glass Hill or another higher security hospital, I think I'd really struggle to see him. But if he doesn't… you know, kill, any further, that shouldn't happen. He… he also told me recently that when he's holding me close, he can't hurt anyone, even when he's feeling his murderous rage."

"Jesus," Colin whistled. "See? That's all you!"

"Fuck me," Jodie breathed. "That's… that's well… that's power over him."

"No. It's down to all the hard work he's done, nothing else. I told him he should be fucking proud of himself, and indeed he should! However, that has nothing to do with it. I want to marry him to tell him and the rest of the world that I love him, and that I don't care who he is, maybe even was! I fell in love with the man, not the serial killer!"

"That's a fair point," Jodie squeezed her hand again. "You know we're right behind you, like I just said, babes. Can I ask you one question though? It's totally unrelated to marrying him, but I'm curious. Now call me a nosey bitch and tell me to mind my own business, but has… has he ever spoken to you?"

"Nosey bitch, mind your own business," she and Colin said together, and the three of them chuckled. "Yes, but only when we're alone, and once or twice to doctors and guards. But 99% of the time, he texts me."

"Does he have a sexy voice?" Jodie asked with a wink.

"Well, I'm bias, so yes!" Jodie and Colin wolf whistled.

"Oh yeah," Jodie grinned. "I forgot you like that I can whistle." She whistled a happy little tune, and now Danielle giggled.

When they got home, she asked her father, Nigel, Colin, Jodie and Tim if they could talk over dinner that night. "Uh oh," her father said, grinning. "That sounds ominous!"

Jodie laughed. "That's exactly what I said once when she asked to talk to me, Dave."

Tonight, Jodie and Nigel once again worked together to cook a comforting and warming beef stew. Once they were all sitting in the lounge with their steaming food, she opened her mouth again and once more began to speak.

"Michael and I talked last night, and well, I want to marry him, I mean soon, like, maybe next week. He agreed that if it's what I want, then yes. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to wait for Charlotte to wake up, but I also must be realistic. She's not going to for a while, most unfortunately, and I… damn it I want to be Michael Myers' wife!"

There was a short silence, before Nigel broke it. "Well, I for one won't stop you if that's what you want, kiddo."

"Me neither," Dave and Tim said together.

"Thanks, dad," she reached over and hugged her father tightly. "I wasn't sure how you especially would react."

"It's your life, you're a grown adult, if that's what you want, of course I wouldn't stop you. You'd be marrying him one day anyway, you just want to move it forward. The only thing I'd ask, is we of course tell Mom."

"Oh, hell yeah! I would love her to be there, but I'll understand if she can't make it, obviously!"

The next day in the hospital, she did just that, while they all sat at Charlotte's bedside once more, including Jodie. She and Colin were now officially a couple.

"It's your decision babes," Emma said, hugging her daughter. "I would never try to stop you, and I understand and appreciate your realism," the group looked sadly at Charlotte's still form.

"Would you… would you be able to be there, Mom?

"Wouldn't miss it for the world," Emma said immediately. "No chance. However, I'd probably have to drive back after the meal, missing most of the reception, I'm sorry for that."

"No, you won't," Tim said. "I'll do it. She deserves you to be there on her wedding day."

"Are you sure, Tim?" Emma asked him.

"Absolutely," Tim said immediately. "There is no further discussion to be had on this, Mom!" both women hugged him.

When she contacted Dr Loomis, for some reason she felt a little nervous. But as soon as she told him, he immediately relaxed her. "Yes, Michael told me you had that conversation with him. Do you have a day next week yet?"

"You're ok with it?" She asked, unsure why.

"If you and Michael feel ready, of course I am. I will do whatever I can to help you. Leave the Smith's Grove end to me. Just do what you need to in Haddonfield, ok?"

"Thanks Dr Loomis," she smiled at him. She assumed that just meant contacting the people they'd invited, she had no idea just how wrong she was.

Two days later.

"Hey," Jodie said, as the two started eating breakfast. Jodie hadn't left since they'd got back from Smith's Grove. She'd joked that she might never see her new place, but it was clear she'd never been happier. The family loved it. "Have you seen the news this morning?"

"Not yet."

Her mouth dropped as she listened.

"Reporting for Haddonfield news, I'm Katie Denning from the Haddonfield Hype. Our top story this morning. It would appear the infamous serial killer Michael Myers, has a girlfriend, or at least a woman who is close to him. Good morning, Haddonfield. Our top story this morning. The infamous serial killer Michael Myers appears to have a woman he is close to. An unnamed source released this photo to us yesterday, showing none other than Myers kissing this unknown female. It is believed she is a Haddonfield resident who was a patient at Smith's Grove state hospital, but this has not yet been confirmed. Smith's Grove have firmly declined to comment, and even told our reporter to, "Mind their own business.""

"Dr Loomis, fuck, I love that man!"

Pulling out her phone, she called Michael, when the whole family had heard the report. "Hey babes," she greeted. "Have you seen it?"

I have. The picture is not exactly clear, but people who know you at the very least will know it's you.

"You know something Michael? I don't give a fuck! Let them hate me! I know who I love, and where the fuck were they when Adam was doing his thing? Fuck them! The Haddonfield Hype can kiss my ass!"

"Well said girl," Nigel, Colin, Dave and Tim said together. "Fuck them is right," Jodie added.

"Do you… care?" Michael chuckled.

Not at all. From my point of view, they of course hate me anyway, it is you I worry for.

"Well don't, I love you, Michael Myers, and I really don't give two flying fucks what anyone might say or do! It's not illegal to love someone, you see."

"Quite right," Nigel agreed. Michael sighed quietly.

Just… just be careful, please. This was those men at the execution, wasn't it?

"That's my thinking too babes," she nodded. "There's no one else it could've been. But I love how Dr Loomis as good as told them to fuck off!"

Yes, I heard that too. It would seem my doctor is a good man; I just didn't see this for thirty-five years.

"Well, you have now," Jodie said affectionately. "Good for you, Michael!"

"Right," everyone agreed.

I thank you, Jodie.

"I will babes," Danielle promised earnestly. "But you'll be my husband in a few days, and Dr Loomis already told me I can stay at Smith's Grove for as long as I like after the wedding."

"Of course he did," Dave smiled. "He is a good man indeed."

Before she knew it, it was her wedding day. She hardly slept the night before, Jodie sharing with her. The next two days had seen her, and Jodie go for a fitting, she was never a dress woman, so wanted to wear a smart pants suit. As Jodie was her bridesmaid, she did the same.

"You need to sleep, Mrs. Myers," Jodie said gently, the night before the wedding.

"You have got to be kidding," she shook her head. "I have so many butterflies in my stomach, I feel almost sick."

It felt like the longest night of her life, but finally, the morning came. She showered for ages, before pulling on casual clothes, she would change at Smith's Grove. "I just wish we didn't have a three-hour drive," she sighed.

Dave and Nigel were the only ones who had spoken to Dr Loomis about arrangements, and knew she had no idea what was about to hit her. The night before, Dave had told the rest of the family, while Jodie kept Danielle distracted upstairs. Now, Danielle appeared in the living room, and the whole family applauded.

"Here's the bride!" Emma smiled genuinely, and the love in her voice almost made Danielle cry. Standing, her mother hugged her very tightly. "I'm so happy for you babes, I'm thrilled to be able to be with you today!"

Although the family were keenly aware one of their own was missing, they were determined to celebrate, knowing Charlotte would be devastated if they didn't. Dave had told Haddonfield Memorial Hospital what was happening, and that Tim would drive back later that evening. He was the one to contact if anything happened to Charlotte in their absence. Before when he told Dr Loomis Tim's plan, Dr Loomis had put his foot down.

"No," he'd said. "I'll ask one of our drivers to drive him back, at no charge. Please do not argue with me, Dave." So, he hadn't.

"Thank you, Dr Loomis," Tim had called the doctor himself when Dave had told him. "I can't tell you how much that means to me."

"You are all more than welcome," Dr Loomis said. "I just wish there was more I could do for Charlotte. But you all deserve to be here, on the happiest day of their lives." There was no more to be said.

Jodie had sneakily asked her what she wanted for their wedding meal, on the pretence she was just curious. She had called Michael, who'd texted her he didn't mind, whatever she wanted was fine with him. "Someone must've told him it's supposed to be the woman's day or something," Jodie grinned. "Not strictly true, but he's taking that approach. Bless him, he's probably out of his depth!"

"Probably? Definitely! Hell, I never expected to be getting married either!"

"Yeah, but he is Michael Myers! He knows even less than you!"

Then, on the quiet, Jodie had called Dr Loomis at his request, passing on what Danielle wanted for food, music and decorations. As Jodie was sighted, Danielle had asked her to handle that part of the day.

"Um, who's driving us up there? I asked Dad, but he refused to tell me. Will people start talking now?"

Dave grinned, hugging his daughter close. "You'll see."

Sure enough, half an hour later, there was a knock on the front door. "I think the bride should get that," Dave said, and everyone nodded. Smiling almost shyly, she walked to the door, opening it.

"Hello," said a slightly familiar voice, but she couldn't quite place it. "I'm Scott, I'm here to drive you to your wedding."

Her mouth dropped open, and she was unable to speak. She tried, but no words came out. All she could do was hug him, feeling his smart suit and tie. "It's a wedding present from Smith's Grove, curtesy of your friend, Oliver Cutter. When you are ready, shall we get going, Mrs. Myers?"

"Scott? Were you the one who…"

"I was there," Scott squeezed her warmly. "That night, yes. I held them at real gunpoint."

"I can't thank you enough, you saved my life."

When they got into the car, her mouth dropped open in shock yet again. Because the car, was a stretch limo. Jodie, Colin, Nigel, Tim, Emma and Dave all fit easily, with Danielle in the most luxurious seat behind the driver. "Ok Mrs. Myers," Scott said through the intercom.

"Let's go get you married!"

A three-hour drive had never felt so luxurious. Scott told the party that the mini bar was complementary of Smith's Grove, containing snacks and drinks. "You're not going to drink before your wedding surely, are you Mrs. Myers?" Jodie teased her.

"You know I don't drink, but you all go for it!"

"We can't be hammered when we get to the chapel," Dave laughed. She took that as just an expression once more, with no idea of the truth. Conversation and laughter rang through the vehicle, as it moved down the highway.

She'd expressed slight sadness that here comes the bride wouldn't be able to be played while she walked towards Michael down a makeshift isle, but she'd said that without reckoning on her friends at Smith's Grove. They had that in hand, she just didn't know it yet.

Three hours later, they reached Smith's Grove. Due to the car, they were in with no security checks. Scott simply held a card to a sensor, and the gates opened smoothly. "I'm going to assume you can all be trusted, no weapons or illegal substances," he smiled. "Not even for the wedding party later." Everyone laughed with him.

"Jesus, I'm getting really nervous," she said, as the Limo slowly drove forward into the hospital grounds.

"Perfectly normal babe," Emma hugged her. "I was terrified when I married Dave, thought he might have got cold feet!"

"Never," Dave grinned.

"It's Mrs. Myers, hello Mrs. Myers!"

She almost started crying at the familiar voice she'd heard through thick and thin, good and bad, the woman who'd even been knocked unconscious for her. "Joanne!" She was crying now, as she ran into her friend's arms.

"Hello, you," Joanne hugged her tightly, kissing her cheek. "I'll more than happily help you get ready, with your mom and Jodie if you like!"

"Duh! Joanne Turner, will you also be one of my bridesmaids with Jodie, please?"

"Oh, Danielle," Joanne was close to tears now, as all the men smiled at her. "Yes, of course I will!"

"The ceremony is at noon, right?"

"Yep," her former guard and now dear friend confirmed. "So, we have two hours. Ready to do this thing?"

"Where's the groom?" Dave asked with a smile.

"He's in another room getting ready," Joanne said. "Dr Loomis is his best man."

"Aww," everyone chorused.

"Adam, Rick and Jack are also already with him, and you four gentlemen, he's waiting for you to join them. I'll take you there first.

"Got it," the four men said together.

"Hello Mrs. Myers!" Another familiar voice sang, and she almost started crying again. "Mel!" She hugged the guard tightly.

"Figured you would want another woman with you as you get ready," she smiled. "Hey Jodie, hey gents!"

"Hey Mel," the others chorused.

"Ok," Joanne smiled. "There is one more female member of our party to help you get ready, she'll meet us there. Let's do this, Mrs. Myers!"

"Mrs. Myers, oh, I'm so happy for you. It was Dr Stark.

"You look stunning, Mrs. Myers! Mel hugged her, tears on her cheeks. "Your husband won't know what's hit him!"

"Beautiful," Dr Stark said, the emotion in her voice unmistakable.

"That's a lovely suit," Joanne, also in tears, hugged her too.

Emma was full-on crying as she hugged her daughter. The makeup artist the family had hired had just finished her work. "I'm so, so happy for you! I love you so, so much, my girl!"

"I love you too Mom," her voice shook, as her mother hugged her as close as she could.

"I have something here for you, it's something to keep," Emma said, before placing a gorgeous heart-shaped neckless around her daughter's neck. She'd always loved it.

"Oh, Mom! Thank you so much!"

"Come on Mrs. Myers," Dr Stark hugged her. "Don't cry, you'll spoil your makeup!"

"Sorry, oh my gosh, I never, ever thought this would happen! When I first entered this place, all I wanted to do was die! I…" she couldn't finish. Dr Stark hugged her again. "Dr Stark, I don't know what to say to you! I love you doesn't do it justice! I thank you so, so much, with all my heart!"

"I love you too," Dr Stark said for the very first time, kissing her cheek.

"It's ten to 12," Joanne said. "We ready, Mrs. Myers?"

"We'll go first darling," Emma said. Mel, Dr Stark and I. Jodie and Joanne go with you, obviously. We'll see you there, Mrs. Myers!"

Her legs were shaking uncontrollably, as her two bridesmaids guided her by the hands. She still didn't know where they were going, where she'd marry Michael, but she suspected one of the meeting rooms. Once again, she was wrong.

When they stopped, Joanne spoke, over the sound of soft organ music in front of them. Jodie breathed, "Wow, this is gorgeous!"

"Smith's Grove does indeed have a wedding chapel, that's where we're standing right now. All your guests are inside now. Rick, Jack, Oliver, Adam, James, Dr Loomis, Nigel, Dave, Tim and Colin. Yes, Smith's Grove does indeed have an organist. Are we ready for this, Mrs. Myers?"

"Don't you get cold feet now Mrs. Myers," Jodie warned, hugging her so tightly, she couldn't breathe. "Bit late for that!"

"Shut up Craig! Ok girls, I'm ready!"

She was still shaking with nerves, but smiling from ear to ear, as silently, the chapel doors opened, and she was guided by her bridesmaids towards her destiny, the rest of her life, and her husband's side.

She almost started crying, when the organist immediately struck up here comes the bride. She could hear her mother sobbing quietly from the front row, and almost joined her. Dave now took his daughter's arm, his suit soft against her fingers, guiding her slowly forward, as she savoured every second. She walked as slowly as she could, the organist continuing to play the famous wedding march. Joanne and Jodie were walking right beside her.

It felt like forever when she finally stopped, Dave moved her arm forward, until her hand was taken in a warm, secure and loving grip she recognised instantly. Her fingers met Michael's suit, and thinking of the 'groom' cufflinks he was wearing, she couldn't help but smile, squeezing his hand, hers shaking with nerves. He squeezed back. Dave sat down next to Emma, Jodie and Joanne moved either side of her, Dr Loomis standing beside Michael as his best man.

"We are gathered here today," said the officiator, who Dr Loomis had told her on the phone was hired by Smith's Grove. Once again, they wouldn't let the family pay for anything, insisting it was their wedding present. "To witness the marriage of Michael Myers and Danielle Avery. Marriage is a lifelong, sacred act, binding two people together for life to love, cry, laugh and grieve through thick and thin, good or bad, better or worse. A husband and wife rely on, trust and confide in each other at any cost, there are no secrets kept between them. If anyone has any lawful reason why they should not be joined in holy matrimony, please speak now, or forever hold your peace."

There was total silence, so loud she was sure she could almost hear it. She'd dreaded this part, stupidly. She'd seen several weddings on television where someone jumped up and shouted an objection at this point. But here, now, the silence was complete.

"Thank you," said the officiator, after what felt like forever. "Danielle, I believe you have your own vows to say to Michael?"

"Yes Mam."

"When you're ready, go for it," the officiator touched her arm.

"Michael," Danielle squeezed his hand tightly, fighting to keep tears of happiness out of her voice and eyes, but failing spectacularly. "As you know, when I first entered Smith's Grove, I wanted nothing more than to die. You know who had caused me so much grief and pain, I just wanted out. One of the men in this room however, Nigel Manning, had other plans, but we had no idea these plans by him saving my life, would guide me to my husband here, now, today. You gave me strength, made me realise I could love again, even though I was kicking and screaming against it the entire way!" There were soft, affectionate chuckles.

"But my heart didn't stand a chance. As much as I tried at first, I didn't see a serial killer in the end, I saw a kind, loving and caring man, who all, especially your best man, thought did not exist." They heard Dr Loomis sniff softly, unable to hide the tears which were flowing silently down his cheeks.

"I fought, I struggled, as any one of your victims would, but it wasn't my life I was trying to save from you, I was desperately trying to save my heart, too afraid to fall in love ever again! But you, my darling Michael Myers, had other ideas. You took control of my heart so completely; I didn't stand a chance! You yourself fought through endless struggles; I can't even begin to imagine how hard they were for you. Yet, we are standing here now, and I'm telling you that as your wife, I will always love you, be there for you. I will forever be loyal to you, forever be true, no matter what life throws at us, what we may endure. As your wife, I will do anything within my power for you, I will be there whenever you ask, I will laugh with you, cry with you, give my all to you. I promise you all these things, for as long as we both shall live, Michael Myers."

Emma, Mel, Dr Stark and Joanne were full-on crying now, Dave had his arms around Emma, Colin Joanne, Nigel Dr Stark, Adam Mel.

"Thank you," the officiator said. "Michael's vows will be read by a computer, as of course, he does not wish to speak. He wrote them himself. Bear with me, just one moment." When the soft male voice began speaking, she would not have known it was a computer, if she hadn't been told.

"Danielle, you have no idea how long it took me to write this. I tried several different ways, none of which seemed good enough. When I first saw then met you, I think you know what my only intention was, your blood on my hands. As you know, I tried several ways to enable this to happen, however they all failed. This was not, however, because of the guards, or any security this hospital has, it was because of you. To this day, I still do not understand exactly how you have done this to me, changed me so completely, but neither can, nor do I want to escape it. As you know, I did try to fight it, I wanted to kill you, just to make it stop, but as you also know, I couldn't." She could hear Dave, Colin, Nigel, Adam, Rick and Jack in tears now, as hers flowed without restraint.

"When you first told me your circumstances, I of course, did not care. All I cared for, was killing you. But then you told me your name that night, and that I think was where it started. Slight at first yes, but it was there. I think, because you were speaking to me, I had not killed you instantly, I could not get away from the fact you were a human, a life, not simply a target, which disabled my ability to cut your life short. Now I stand here, giving you, my heart. It has been a long road to get here, far from smooth, but I want to promise you as best I know how, that as your husband, I will be there for you, comfort you, advise you, sooth you, hold you. Whenever you need me, I will be there, no matter the cost. I love you, and I want to protect, comfort, look after and provide for you, to the best of my ability. I promise you I will do these things, for as long as I am able."

"Thank you," the officiator said. Danielle marvelled at her professionalism, how his vows hadn't brought tears to her eyes, she'd never know. But then, this was her job. "Dr Loomis, Jodie, the rings, please?" The two produced them.

"Please read this allowed?" She handed her a sheet of Braille. Danielle had to release Michael's hand to do so.

"With this ring, I take you, Michael Myers, to be my lawfully wedded husband," she said, her voice shaking with tears. "Through sickness and in health, better or worse, richer or poorer, until death do us part, for as long as we both shall live."

Handing the sheet back to the officiator, she took Michael's hand again, as the computer read Michael's side. She heard the rustle of paper though, and knew Michael was also reading the exact same words.

"With this ring, I take you, Danielle Avery, to be my lawfully wedded wife. Through sickness and in health, better or worse, richer or poorer, until death do us part, for as long as we both shall live."

Taking her hand, Michael took the ring from Jodie, and slipped it lovingly onto her finger, next to her engagement ring. Dr Loomis handed her Michael's ring, and she did the same, feeling her hands still shaking.

"With the making of your vows and exchanging of rings to each other," the officiator said. "I now pronounce you, man and wife. Michael, you may now kiss the bride."
