Hello everyone, this is a story I thought would be a bit different from the One Piece fic. For one, it will not be OC heavy like Silver Legacy. I also want to make a disclaimer that I do not own any of the characters as they belong with their rightful owners. Hope you enjoy the read.

Outside the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and Luigi were walking through a forest.

Princess Peach has asked the Mario Bros. to fix up some of the warp pipes around the Mushroom Kingdom. "Alright, Luigi, this is the last of the warp pipes the princess asked us to fix," Stated Mario as he jumped over a large log.

"An easy day, huh, Mario? Oh - I hope I didn't jinx it." added Luigi as he jumped over the log but ended up missing the landing as he fell into some mud.

Without missing a beat, Mario helped his brother up and cleaned off the mud from him. After a short journey, the Bros came across the broken Warp Pipe. Normally these pipes were green but the one in front of them kept changing colors before their eyes. "Uhhh, Mario, I have a bad feeling about that Warp Pipe." Luigi commented as he looked anxiously at the pipe."

"I mean, it can't be that bad?" shrugged Mario as he looked over the pipe. "Hey, Luigi, can you take a look inside to see if it's-a corroded inside?"

Luigi jumped up to the side of the warp pipe to look it over. He saw that it wasn't corroded inside. It was pretty clear, aside from swirling patterns at the bottom of the pipe. Seeing that it was fine as he turned around, Luigi slipped and fell backwards down the pipe. "MARIOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Mario looked up in shock and without hesitation jumped down the Warp Pipe to follow his brother. "I'm-a coming, Luigi!"

Mario was in freefall as he kept his eyes on his younger brother. The brothers were screaming as they fell down the pipe; Luigi screaming an octave louder. As they were enveloped by light, Mario grabbed Luigi's hand as they went off to wherever the Warp Pipe sends them. "Why did we accept this...!" were Luigi's words before a light enveloped them. When the light died down from the Warp Pipe, it collapsed onto itself and was nothing but rubble.

Unknown Location

In the deepest part of a sewer, the Mario Bros. tumbled out of the Warp Pipe. "Mama-Mia, where are we?" Luigi asked as he got his bearings back and looked around the sewer.

Mario got up quickly and scanned the area. "No idea, but it looks like the Warp Pipe is intact."

Luigi quickly got up and wacked on the pipe. "Well at least we can get ho-"

CRACK!

Mario and Luigi stared in horror as cracks started to form around the pipe before it crumbled to dust. The former could only sigh while the latter dropped to his knees. "Mama-Mia, we're trapped in another world... again." commented Mario. Turning on his heels, Mario headed away from the pipe.

"Wait, Mario? Where are you going?" asked Luigi as he got up and looked at his brother.

"To the surface, Weegee. It's better than being down here."

Seeing he had no other choice, Luigi followed suit, sighing along the way.

Surface of the new world

People were walking down the straight minding their own business as the manhole cover on the sidewalk lifted up with the brothers jumping out from it.

Mario looked around the city and whistled. "You know, this place reminds me of New Donk City."

Luigi took a look and was taking in the sights. Strange symbols were on shops and billboards. On the billboards, they can see people that are dressed oddly promoting different products. One advertisement showed a shapely woman with long blonde hair they didn't recognize.

But most noticeable of all was the people. A couple had a pair of horns coming from their head as they were enjoying their date while a snake woman nearby was walking a young boy who had wool growing off his back.

"Well, we're definitely not in the Mushroom Kingdom, anymore." Luigi noted as he saw a few people giving him and Mario puzzled looks before brushing it off.

"Well, let's go look around Luigi." said Mario, taking off down the street. Luigi followed suit as he ran behind his brother. Both brothers were taking in the sights. They came to a stop by the local park where they took a break from the short run.

As they looked around, Mario noticed a teen that had pink skin, gold eyes with black sclera, and horns coming out of her head.

"Umm, excuse miss," Mario asked her, trying to get the teens attention. "My brother and I are new around here, so where are we?"

A yelp of surprise came from her, but she quickly relaxed and answered them.

"Huh? You're in Musutafu! How'd you get all the way here without knowing where you were? If you're having trouble with the signs I can point you to the right spot."

"Oh, if you have a map, we can find a good restaurant in town." suggested Luigi. Suddenly they heard a growl come from Mario's stomach.

"Guess you're both hungry!" The teen exclaimed. "Come on, I know a great place that makes super yummy pizza!" She then dragged the bros to a nearby pizza place she knew.

Pizzeria Gardulla

Nearly half an hour passed since the teen brought the bros to the restaurant. Besides each brother we're stacks of plates that piled high. All the patrons were staring at the empty bowls stacked next to them as Mario and Luigi were drinking the last bit of water before setting their cups down. "Sorry if we went overboard," apologized Mario. "Neither of us really had the chance to eat for a while."

The girl in question was looking over the brothers bill for the three of them. Tears were spilling from her eyes as the cost for the bill was 20,000 yen alone. "How am I supposed to pay this…"

As if things could not get worse, a portly toad-like woman wearing an apron marched over to their table. "Alright boys," she demanded in a deep, croaky voice. "How are you going to foot the bill?"

"Ah not to worry, we might have something to cover it." Mario then pulled out a gold coin and placed it on the table. "Meals on me."

The woman examined the coin and checked it over. To her surprise, it really was gold. "Alright, this covers ya bill and most likely any meals you have here for the next three months. Feel free to come by to my pizzeria when you're in the mood, hon."

With that, she walked away from the table with the gold coin in hand. The teen girl looked at the brothers in disbelief. "OH, we forgot to ask you your name." Luigi added, trying to move along and trying to figure out what Musutafu is like, according to a local.

"Mina. Mina Ashido." The teen introduced herself. "You could introduce yourself too."

"Ok, this is my brother, Mario, and I'm Luigi," The taller bro introduced himself. "Since we're from far away, we thought we could learn how things are around here."

"Oh, well around here we have Pro-Heroes who keep everyone safe."

"Wait, so everyone is a superhero here?"

"Well not everyone, you need a license to be a Pro Hero. Almost everyone has a Quirk."

"License?" questioned Mario.

"Yeah, with almost everyone having powers, the government made it a rule to keep people safe."

"That seems a little stringent…"

"Well, they do make an exception for self-defense but it can get pretty strict," Mina's smartphone rang and she saw that an alarm went off. "Oh no, I'm going to be late for my train!"

Quickly standing up, she put on her coat before turning to the toad like woman. "Thanks for the meal, Gardulla!"

"Not a problem, sweetie."

Mina then turned to the Mario bros. "I hope you enjoy your stay here, Mario and Luigi. I'll see you around." With that, Mina left the restaurant. Seeing as they were set, the bros followed suit.

Once they were outside, Luigi gave his thoughts to Mario about the world they were in. "This is-a strange new world, Mario."

"Yeah, it is, Luigi," replied Mario. "But at the same time, it's pretty exciting."

"Maybe this world could be re-"

BANG!

The citizens screamed in terror as an explosion from a bank across the street from where the brothers stood drove everyone away. Mario slowly turned and glared at Luigi. The younger brother could only blush in response.

From the destroyed bank, a large man with a huge mouth had two big bags of money in each hand. What stood out were the random sparks coming from his mouth. Nearby, a large man who looked like he was into construction came running onto the scene to face off against the robber.

"Oh my god, it's Death Arms! Take out that Villain!" shouted one man that was watching the scene.

"Halt, Villain!" exclaimed Death Arms as he cracked his knuckles. "I suggest you drop the money and come quietly."

"Ah screw you, hero!" shouted the robber as he started to generate fire from his mouth. He blasted Death Arms with a fireball which he blocked. Before the hero could follow up, the robber sucker punched him in the face and then fired a point-blank fireball into the Hero's facing. The blast launched the hero off his feet and into the side of a building.

Seeing as how Death Arms was down for the count, the Bros turned to each other and gave a nod to each other as they knew what had to be done.

"Let's-a go!"

"Okie-dokie!"

Mario jumped from his spot as he had both feet together and aimed for the top of the robber's head. The blow landed as the robber grunted in pain. Before he could do anything, Luigi launched himself straight at him and gave a powerful headbutt to his stomach. The crook was launched off his feet and slammed into a lamp post.

Leaping away from the robber, Luigi jumped back right next to his brother. The plumbers stared him down without an ounce of fear. Seeing he was being challenged, the robber blasted a large fireball at the pair.

The Bros reached into their pockets and got out the mallets, wielding them expertly. As the fireball got closer, they raised their mallets and waited for it to get right in reach. When the blazing ball was close enough, the brothers swung their hammers and batted the flaming sphere back at the crook. The robber's eyes widened as he screamed loudly when his own attack exploded right in his face. When the smoke cleared, the robber was down for the count.

"Mario! We won!" cheered Luigi. The bros high fived each other and then heard something snap on to their wrists.

Click! Click!

Mario then looked and found that he was in handcuffs along with his brother as a police officer was glaring at them. "Sir, you and your partner are under arrest for vigilantism and using your Quirk without a license."

The brothers glanced at each other and sighed. "Mamamia…" As the brothers were walking over to the cruiser, a camera on a lamppost zoomed in on the brothers.

Musutafu Police Station

Inside the interrogation room, the brothers sat side by side, anxiously waiting for whoever to come into to interrogate them. Through the one-way mirror was a man and a strange white creature. The man in his mid-30s came in, he was well-dressed: shirt and tie, brown pants, a trench coat, and also short brown hair. The creature was a white mouse bearcreature wearing a black suit and a red tie but noticeably it had a large scar on its right eye. They were detective Naomasa Tsukauchi and Nezu, respectively.

"Principal, why are you so interested in these two vigilantes?" asked the detective.

"I viewed the CCTV footage that was recorded and decided to look up any information on them," answered Nezu. "From what I gathered, they don't exist. If I were to guess, you ended up finding nothing on them either."

"I sent in one detective to get their names and so far, we couldn't find anyone that matches their description in any database."

The pair noted the appearance of the brothers. Both brothers were dressed in blue overalls, long-sleeved shirts, white gloves, brown shoes, and hats. Some physical similarity they have were their blue eyes, brown hair, mustaches, and quite noticeable, very large, rounded noses.

There were differences between the brothers as one brother was shorter than the average person, and was on the chubby side. His shirt and hat were both red, with the latter having a 'M' on the front. The other brother was taller and skinnier. His shirt and hat were green and on his hat that had the letter 'L' on the front.

"Indeed, they are quite the enigma," Tsukauchi then noticed how excited the principal was as he bounced in his spot. "Which makes it all the more exciting! Now I believe it's your turn to see them. If they are deemed safe, signal me in and I'll take care of the rest."

"Alright, I hope your judgment on them is correct."

Back inside the interrogation room, the brothers were chatting with each other. "Do we get a free phone call?" Mario asked his brother.

"I'm pretty sure that phone call won't help us, Mario."

"Are you sure, Luigi?"

"Not unless the phone can call across dimensions."

The door to the interrogation room opened with detective Tsukauchi walking into the room with a map in hand. "Hello, my Name is Detective Tsukauchi. I want you both to state your name."

"Mario."

"L-Luigi, sir."

Tsukauchi with his quirk, Lie Detector, was so far getting the truth from the two strange men. "Alright, where are you from?"

"The Mushroom Kingdom." The bros answered at the same time.

TRUE. "...what? Can you repeat that?"

"We both came from the Mushroom Kingdom."

TRUE. "Is the Mushroom Kingdom code for something?"

"No, that's where we live."

Moving on, Tsukauchi tried a different approach. "Alright, Mario, I want you to tell me about this 'Mushroom Kingdom' you come from?"

"Uh, is it usually peaceful? A lot of the population are called Toads because they are mushroom people." explained Mario.

Also TRUE, somehow. Not once did either of these plumbers lie to him.

"Ok then... Luigi, what are your professions?"

Luigi put his hand to his chin to think about it. "Let's see, Mario was a carpenter, a boxing referee, and a tennis umpire but we have worked as plumbers, construction workers, baseball players, basketball players, football players, doctors, teachers, artists, painters, go-kart drivers, tennis players, chefs, lumberjacks, safari guides, golfers, janitors, astronauts, sheriffs, actors, postal workers, and honestly we kind of lost track."

TRUE. "How did you manage all that time? Did you get shining recommendation letters from each previous employer?" Tsukauchi could feel that his brain was trying to wrap around these two brothers having this many skill sets.

"You can say that... sorta." Luigi answered, still skittish. Tsukauchi then put down the file he held and revealed it to be a map. The brothers looked over the map as Tsukauchi prepared the next question.

"Alright, can either one of you point out where the 'Mushroom Kingdom' is on this map?"

"Uh... it's not on the map, sir." answered Luigi.

"Asia, Africa, Europe? I don't think I have heard of those places before." added Mario, looking over the map.

TRUE.

"I mean, if you were sheltered, yes... " Tsukauchi trailed off.

"No, we're both pretty worldly," After a moment, a thought occurred to Luigi before he looked at his brother. "Hey Mario, do you think this is just like how we were teleported to Concordia?"

"Concordia, NY?" Tsukachi interjected.

"No, just the world of Concordia."

TRUE.

"Wha... what? Describe the world of Concordia in your own words." Tsukachi replied, briefly losing his composure.

"Well, it's a land that has people that look like living electrical sockets. All of their lands were drifting islands until we helped unite the lands together, literally." explained Mario

TRUE.

Tsukachi wasn't sure how to respond. All his life, he knew his quirk never failed him yet what the brothers' statements were completely true. Without a word, he got up and left the room.

Behind the one-way mirror, Nezu was thinking about what the brothers had said when the detective was back. "Everything they told me was the truth."

"So, it seems, detective, I have been listening to your interrogation and I have come to a conclusion."

"And what would that be, Nezu?"

Nezu took a sip from his tea cup before he answered Tsukachi's question. "They are not from our world."

Tsukauchi raised an eyebrow at his answer. "That's impossible."

"Ah but when logic fails, the impossible is the only answer,"

"Now the question is, what are we going to do with them?"

The principal put his chin in his hand for a few seconds before smiling. "I may have a solution, but only if you go along with it."

Tsukachi had a feeling he was in for a headache. "Alright, what's your idea?"

Nezu then whispered into the detective's ear. The more he went on the wider his eyes went. Tsukauchi grabbed Nezu by his shoulder's. "Nezu, are you insane!" He scolded the creature with a harsh tone. "Do you have any idea how badly this could go?!"

"Oh, I'm aware of that detective," Nezu then slipped out of Tsukauchi's hands as he straightened his tie. "I believe it's our best option to keep an eye on them and to keep them close." The intelligent Chimera scurred off and made his way into the interrogation room.

"Ah, hello there!" greeted Nezu as he entered the interrogation room and hopped up on the chair in front of the pair. "Am I a dog or a mouse or a bear? Nope, I'm Nezu! And I have reviewed the video of both of you taking down that Villain, so I have an offer for both of you."

The bros glanced at each other and looked back at Nezu. "What's the offer?"

"I want both of you to become teachers at U.A. It's much better than being stuck here. Do you accept it?"

AN: Well it's a new year and now a new story is out. I have rediscovered my love for the Mario series and playing through Mario Wonder, M : Brothership, Princess Peach Showtime, and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door reignited that passion. I am looking forward to writing this particular fic since Mario fics are not as common than I thought. Not to worry, I will be updating A Silver Legacy soon. I had a bit of a slump and life coming up that got me sidetracked. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the first chapter to this fic. Fave, follow, and comment please. I'm not afraid of feedback.

See you next time.
