It wasn't the first time Dino had noticed Hibari Kyoya's peculiar punctuality. No matter how relaxed their outings were, there was always a moment when Hibari would glance at his watch, declare his departure, and leave—swift, precise, and uncompromising.

"Sorry," Hibari would say as he rose from his seat. "I need to go." He wouldn't let Dino pay, either, no matter how much he protested. The brunet would snatch the bill and pay for both of them before Dino could even blink.

At first, Dino chalked it up to Hibari's stoic personality and his rigid adherence to his own rules. It was just a "Hibari thing," and Dino accepted it with his usual sunny smile.

But curiosity itched at the back of his mind. Hibari wasn't one to make small talk or offer explanations, so Dino never asked. Still, the question lingered.

One day, while they were hanging out at a park, Dino braced himself for the usual routine. As the clock struck six, he expected Hibari to check his watch, mutter a curt goodbye, and vanish. But this time, he didn't.

Hibari stayed.

Dino blinked at him, surprised. "Hey, uh, Kyoya… you're not leaving?"

Hibari gave him a flat look, as if the question was unnecessary. "No."

"Why not?" Dino pressed, curious now.

"My brother's home today."

Dino tilted his head, trying to connect the dots. "And…?"

Hibari sighed softly, clearly unimpressed by Dino's lack of understanding. "So, he'll feed the dog."

It took Dino a moment to process the words. "Wait," he said, eyes wide with disbelief. "You mean… all this time, you've been rushing home to feed your dog?"

Hibari shrugged as though it were the most obvious thing in the world. "He has to eat."

Dino's heart practically melted on the spot. "Kyoya, that's adorable."

Hibari's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Bite me."

"Not literally," Dino teased, grinning. "But seriously, that's so sweet of you. Who knew you were such a responsible pet owner?"

Hibari didn't dignify that with a response, instead turning his attention to a passing bird as though Dino weren't even there.

Dino chuckled to himself, his chest warm with affection. Trust Hibari to turn something as simple as feeding his dog into a no-nonsense routine.

"Hey, Kyoya," Dino said after a moment, his voice soft, "you're amazing, you know that?"

Hibari didn't respond, but Dino could swear he saw the tiniest hint of a smile tug at the corners of his lips.

And for once, Dino was content to sit in silence, enjoying the rare moment with the enigmatic prefect who always had somewhere to be—except, for now, here.
