Disclaimer: I do not own Dracula or any of the other fandoms featured in this story.
Sorry for the long wait between updates, I hit a real case of writer's block with this story and had to leave it awhile before coming back to it.
There are references to other vampire films like Fright Night and The Lost Boys albeit with some alterations to make them fit the story.
The next chapter will unfortunately be the last as we reach the 21st Century.
Dracula's Deal 6
Vampire Coven's Manor, London...1985...
The display boards showed the current rates and percentages on company shares and if they were up or down, red text flashing past at a fast speed. It was something she and other members of the coven like Paul kept a vigilant eye on the markets as they were all constantly fluctuating and needed to be monitored closely so they knew were to put their investment or for other opportunities to make money.
Mina looked at them and saw that many of their companies were up in value, smiling as the coven was now richer and influential than ever. They had a massive fortune and vast revenue stream so more kept coming in all of the time. Through both business and other channels they had influence over governments and other organisations so they could make sure their existence remained hidden and that sometimes laws and policies that benefited them were implemented.
The fact that nearly a century had passed since her own turning and now if she included her human life too meant she was over a hundred years old did make her smile a little. She had seen the world change with her own eyes and despite the great tension of the Cold War she was sure that the world would have many more wonders to come and she would be very glad to see them.
Her powers had grown so much that she was able to control the weather and so much more at will, she was still even after forty years of having such abilities discovering just how far she could go with them as she sometimes made new discoveries. Her covens were loyal to her, something that she made sure of with her careful and steady hand at the wheel.
Mina was broken from her thoughts by the sound of someone approaching, she could hear them quite clearly and turned, looking every inch the business woman in her knee length black skirt and blazer teamed with a red blouse and black heeled shoes and her hair in styled waves. She refused to go with the enormous shoulder pads though she thought wondering with amusement how that had caught on.
But she was broken from these fashion thoughts by the appearance of the latest member of their coven, Tanako a man of Japanese descent living in London but the man had the skills of a technological wizard. He was a savant with computers and had been a major help to them in bringing the new technology into their lives and with some private funding from the coven was already moving them ahead of the rest of the world. Computers were one of a string of new technologies that were sweeping the world and many of them were highly useful for the covens...they even had their own satellite now she thought with amazement at such things being even possible. For a girl from the 19th Century it was almost unthinkable to put something into space but the last few years had been full of the impossible she thought with a smile, remembering her watching the moon landing for the first time...that had been an experience she thought with a smile.
Tanako then told her.
"The meeting is set up."
"Thank you Tanako. Exceptional work as always." She told him which made him smile with pride. She walked out of the room to the meeting room where not only was her council waiting in their seats, she smiled at each of them and then at the large computer screen at the other end of the table where the faces of other coven leaders could be seen, another advantage of computers and satellites was that they were making it so much easier to communicate in real time with anyone else in the world.
"Greetings my friends, there is much business to discuss so by all means, let us begin." Mina said as she sat at the head of the table. They all nodded and each of them began speaking in turn to make them all aware of what they were doing.
"We have acquired several new weapon manufacturing contracts, our munitions related companies have been bolstered by the government and private contracts. This is delivering a handsome return." Christina said with pride, her private security business was booming and now having branched out into new and more advanced weapon systems they were gaining a great profit.
"Excellent work, keep us up to date on any developments." Mina said with a smile to the woman who had worked for decades to grow her business ideas. Christina liked the compliment and returned the nod.
"We have control of several large studios and news outlets, controlling the flow of information is now fairly simple for us." Kate said with a proud smile as she was now making the news rather than just reporting it. Mina knew her ambition and smiled, glad she had achieved it.
"Our Criminal Empire is expanding into several new areas with modernised methods of smuggling and we are now an established international fence for various goods." Alice then reported which Mina accepted and told her.
"Your efforts are truly inspiring to stay ahead of the authorities Alice." Mina told her with a complete honesty who as one of her oldest friends could tell she meant it.
"What of our charitable efforts?" Mina asked and Alexander Grayson, the head of their North American Coven answered.
"A few big donations had gone well received, a supply of food to countries in need and there was news that the Titanic has been found too." Alexander told them with his usual broad smile, Mina almost rolled her eyes but it was good to hear that they were doing some good in the world too.
"What of the AIDS situation?" The leader of their Rome Coven asked, bringing up an issue that had been making their entire people scared for quite sometime. The mention of it sobered them all up and all friendly atmosphere disappeared in an instant.
One of their people had recently fed on someone with the AIDS virus and had contracted it resulting in a long and extremely painful period of suffering, the idea that they could actually be infected with such a deadly disease terrified most vampires. They all turned to the now fully qualified doctor and surgeon Emma who was handling the incident.
"The disease has proven deadly to us I'm afraid, our unfortunate victim died earlier today." Emma informed then with sadness but the news that they could actually die from this disease only increased the fear in all of them except Mina who had spoken with her already about this and knew that the excellent doctor had already come up with a solution.
"But we can continue feeding as I have begun to set up blood collection and screening clinics in most of your cities, clinics that will give money for donations of blood that can be checked for diseases and will see us fed, as technology improves we will be able to streamline the service to accommodate our needs." Emma informed them and the news that they would not have to hunt any more unless they wanted too but had a safe way to consume blood again was met with mixed reactions. Some were happy and relieved at the solution while others felt it was a waste and wrong to abandon how they had been doing it all these years.
"Blood will be safe again and hunting can still happen but with the right care to make sure to avoid infection." Emma told them but reminded them sternly. "But the risk will always be there and the cleaners will need to contacted as soon as possible."
"Splendid." Mina told them all as she brought the matter to a close, Emma's idea was brilliant and would cut down the chance of them being accidentally discovered if one of them was careless and got caught at the wrong moment. "I think that will conclude our business for today. The best to you all." Mina said with a smile and they all nodded in acceptance of her words as their queen before the conference call ended.
The Council all stayed seated though, they were all hoping to spend some time just chatting about normal things for awhile and not the intensive jobs that they all had.
"There are a few big cases coming up, ones that will be something of a challenge." Sarah told them of her law firm's now exclusive workload, excitedly speaking as they sat around the table and had a glass of blood each.
"How's Sandie's new enterprise going?" Diana asked David who smiled proudly of his partner in every sense of the word.
"Her new talent agency is going great. She just wants to help young future stars avoid all of the things she had to deal with." David said, proud of her for her efforts. Sandie had enjoyed a good career as a singer when they had helped her get started but now officially retired from that she had decided to help protect young women especially from people like those that had preyed on her when she had been starting. Their relationship was still going strong and she had often told him that he was the best thing to ever happen to her in her entire life.
Something that he humbly accepted.
Thomas patted his back with a smile, glad that his son had found someone to spend his time with. It was strange that he had been forced to wait half a century to find her, Thomas thought with amusement and glad that he finally had.
"At Cambridge...how are your classes going?" Paul asked Adam who nodded with a smile.
"Heading up the Physics department there has been most rewarded, how times have changed." Adam said with pride as being a man of colour would have made such a thing impossible a century ago and although he did still face racism which angered him a great deal it was not as bad as it had been.
The door opened which distracted them from further conversation as Lila entered, wearing a school uniform. She had decided to go to a school in London to make sure she could keep up with the times and modernise her attitudes, a private school of course and her accent which was still clearly American after all of these years being explained at her father being in the US Air Force stationed here.
"A postcard just came from Charley." Lila said with a smile. "She's in South East Asia now."
"I can't wait to hear just what she's gotten up to this time." Maria said with a chuckle as Charley had decided to finally go and travel the world properly and experience all of the adventures that she had dreamed about.
"I am sure it will be thrilling." Mina told them before getting up to leave and the others doing the same as they all had other things to do tonight.
Mina went to her office were a lot of paper work was waiting for her much to her annoyance but it had to be done she thought with a sigh as she sat at her desk and began reading.
The first thing she saw was the report on the group that had tried to crash their party in 1965, looking through the surveillance on the group and see just what they had gotten up too.
They had all remained friends she noticed and met up regularly with each other and their families, that was nice she thought as she read. They had found real jobs and were doing fairly well for themselves in their different fields, she smiled glad to see that her decision to let them live had been the right one but frowned slightly as she saw that Jessica Van Helsing had followed in her grandfather's footsteps and become a Professor in the Occult. There was no signs that she had remembered them but her choice of career was a concern but since it did not present an immediate threat they would let them be for now.
She then read a report from the USA, apparently another rogue had surfaced she thought with an annoyed sigh. How many were there? She thought as like she had once told Jack who had turned up this lead, every time they thought they had finally managed to eliminate them another one showed up seemingly out of nowhere. She was considering the possibility that some rogues might be made accidentally or on purpose by their own people and so she would need to see if that was the case although she hoped it wasn't.
Turning her attention back to the current rogue it was located out in the middle of Iowa, a small isolated town and worse reports of missing people where not only making it to the authorities but also meant the possibility of turnees that they might have to deal with too.
She would dispatch David and a team of his people to resolve the matter as soon as possible Mina decided and with a sigh as they never seemed to be done with the rogues. She sat at her piano and began to play, she had not done this since her transformation into a vampire but recently she had taken it up again as a hobby. The notes echoed in the room as she played, her eyes closed as she allowed herself to focus completely on the music and lose herself in it. She had also taken to learning all kinds of different dancing styles to keep her agile and fit.
All of the different members of the various covens now had such pastimes to devote themselves too, it was a good coping mechanism to have something solely to themselves.
Rancho Corvalis, Iowa...The Next Day...
The town was sleepy at this time of night and David was leading his team through the dark streets, he looked at the simply ordinary house and had to hand it to the rogue for finding an unusual location to base himself.
Most vampires fell into the gothic route of old manor houses, castles or the more desperate used abandoned warehouses and the like. He had hunted rogues for decades now and most of them were entirely predictable, it was actually refreshing he felt to have one that did things a little differently.
David led the hunters into the house, their senses alert for any signs of trouble and their weapons out.
The silence was broken by a sudden scream and snarl, a feral looking vampire leaping out at them from the kitchen but David was holding his gun in hand already and fired, his special pistol hitting the attacker with steel tipped explosive round that pierced the chest and exploded inside, destroying the heart immediately.
The creature's screeches awoke the rest of its group who all came screaming at them, David however remained cool and collected as did his men all of whom were nearly as experienced as he was at the hunt.
They fired their guns and took them down with ruthless efficiency until they all dead at their feet, David with his hearing stretched could hear someone trying to hide in the cellar so he moved down and found a single remaining vampire, one that looked far more human than the ones upstairs had.
He was a fairly tall man with jet black hair, pale skin, a grey jacket and red scarf along with a dark dress shirt and trousers. He looked at David with curiosity and asked.
"Who are you? I smell that we're the same but you're killing us." The vampire asked, David with his face still disguised at 'Jerry's' as he was known comment before shooting him without wasting any more time chatting.
Jerry was older than his fledglings but younger than David, not being fast enough to completely evade the shot and was wounded, screaming out in pain as David drew his sword and pounced, cleaving his head cleanly from his neck and telling him coldly.
"Not really." David said before cleaning his sword on Jerry's coat and looking around for anything important and found nothing so he and his people dosed the entire house in accelerant and set it ablaze to destroy any trace of their presence.
David watched from some distance away as it burned, thinking quietly to himself and then received the message he had been waiting for. The human who suspected their existence had been committed to an insane asylum, he nodded in satisfaction as he read it. It was harsh but better than killing him, in time he would think this had all been in his head and they would slip back into fantasy.
It was better for them and for the humans this way David thought wisely, to let them have their ordered little world and they keep to their way, watching the world turn as they enjoyed all there was to see and do.
Santa Carla, California...Later that Year...
Jack Thompson was standing there with his team of men, all veterans of the last big war and Vietnam so they were as tough as it gets. They were in their synthetic materials combat suit, armed with all of their latest gear as they tracked rogue activity.
He had been the head of their intelligence service for decades now and it was like second nature to him but sometimes and his men too liked to remember that they were soldiers first and foremost, so when they had learned of rogue activity they had jumped at the chance to deal with it personally.
Jack took a sip from his canteen and looked on, watching these stupid teenagers made vampires being so reckless it was a miracle that no-one had really caught on to what was happening given the amount of people they were killing. The town had even been given the title of the murder capital of the world.
Something he and his men were going to stop tonight, Jack thought coldly to himself.
He spotted the four young rogues leaving the boardwalk and heading back to their lair, he followed as did his men, tracking them until they found it. It was an old hotel abandoned after sinking into the ground during the 1906 earthquake, quite well hidden he had to concede but they didn't attack just yet. Instead they waited for the maker to arrive, these four were not responsible for all of the murders here so there must be another one who had turned these four youths he reasoned and so they kept watch.
It took a few days but finally as they were on the verge of giving up...he appeared.
He was not what they were expecting at all, a bespectacled male in his late thirties to early forties. Pale skin with a neat hair cut and wearing a cheap if well kept suit. Jack's eyebrow raised but they could see he was a vampire from the way he moved but worse was the fact they actually recognised him.
"Max?" Jack said in a whisper to himself in astonishment, the man had been a respected member of the Los Angeles coven. A book collector and theatre producer who had been a quiet and law abiding member of their community, hell he had even spoken to him at the annual ball when he had visited the Los Angeles coven two years ago! He was the one making these rogues Jack thought to himself with confusion and needed to know why.
With the main target now acquired he signalled for his team to move in and surround the lair before moving in, they were all armed with explosive and incendiary rounds which they checked before going in as it was good practice. They moved in and without wasting a single moment, Jack's team opened fire on the rogues.
The explosive and incendiary rounds were highly effective, the inhuman screeches as they were blown apart and set on fire, Jack however targetted Max and carefully shot out both his legs, leaving them blown off below the knee. Max screamed in pain but Jack was cold and calm as he held the gun to his head.
"Max. Why?" Jack asked him and through his pained face he looked at him and said with tears of blood running down his face.
"They were my boys...my lost boys. I took them in and made sure they would never need to grow up." He said with a strange madness now burning in his eyes.
Jack looked at him and wondered what had driven him so far over the edge to do this before ending him with a shot to the face before they burned the bodies to make sure they were all gone. Jack now wondered if there were others like him, were members of the vampire covens making more rogues? Was that the reason they kept appearing for so long now? He pondered to himself.
He would need to keep a closer eye on their own people now he thought to himself and report to the Queen in person about this. Who knows who else might be making these rogues?
Farrington's Auction House, London...Two Months Later...
Farrington's Auction House was the oldest establishment of its kind in London, founded a few short years after the Great Fire of London in 1666 it was a testament to old style taste and construction.
Built in a Venetian style it was lined with statues and carefully sculpted stone decoration on the outside with white marble on the inside although in the mid Georgian era it had received mahogany panelling and eventually in the early twentieth century a renovation to keep it grand and maintained. It was one of the oldest buildings in London and one of the most magnificent. They even used the same wooden benches that had been the original fittings of the building in the auction rooms.
The tradition and grandeur of the building made it a perfect place to sell valuable antiques and other important pieces among the super rich and upper classes.
Hubert, taking a break from his duties as Queen Mina's private assistant was here today in his best suit to purchase a particular piece that he had been interested in for some time but it was only now coming onto the market. He listened intently as the auctioneer as they went from item to item, he even bid on some of them but only half heartedly as he didn't really care if he got them or not. Some of which he did obtain but it was only at the very end of the current auction that his real prize was placed on the auction block.
"Lot 224 Ladies and Gentlemen. A painting named The Celestial Magnificence by Ulisse Meraviglia, painted in 1670. I am sure you can agree one of the finest pieces of art of its time. Starting bid is "Fifty thousand pounds." The auctioneer said as the painting was uncovered and shown to them all.
It was a scene that resembled the sort of images of far and distant objects in space that they were beginning to uncover with the radio telescopes and satellites he thought with awe as he looked at the image displayed. A bright blue sun was the centre of the painting over the image of a desert with strange silver sand and a yellow haze before it reached into space where the upper half of the painting was decorated with the strange array of colours like a nebula cloud.
It was a beautiful image Hubert thought with amazement and all done before they could have seen such things in their telescopes so how the artist had dreamt of such a thing he could scarcely imagine. He wanted it not just for the archives but for himself, he had a lot of personal money so he was prepared to go all out today to acquire this painting and even take a loan from the coven if needed.
He waited a moment and some bids were placed, the price rising steadily as Hubert looked on and waited for the bidding to calm down before finally as the painting reached two hundred thousand pounds he waited and then placed his own bid.
"Two hundred and fifty." Hubert said, raising his auction paddle.
The people in the room gasped in shock at the sudden bid and the man who had previously held the winning bid glared at him. He was a tall man even when sitting down with a stocky build, bald and looked to be of Israeli descent, his eyes were harsh and cold but Hubert despite a chill running down his spine held his ground.
"Three hundred." The man said in a deep and thick accent that Hubert couldn't place and the gasp went through the room again and Hubert frowned before bidding again.
"Four hundred." Hubert said, wondering just how high the other man was prepared to go.
That really angered the other man who was now glaring so hard it was like fire was straining to come out of his eyes! The man however seemed unable to match the new bid and the auctioneer looked around for another bid but since none came he closed the auction.
"Going once...going twice...sold to the gentleman 486." The auctioneer said gesturing towards Hubert who smiled broadly in victory. He almost didn't notice how much hatred was being directed towards him by the man who he had outbid.

Later that night...
Maria smiled as she saw Hubert from outside the auction house, after handling the paying in of the money the various pieces were being loaded into their truck and she was waiting in the car for him before they returned to the coven to show off their latest acquisitions. She waved slightly to him from the back of the car as he came out but then she saw something that froze her still.
A stocky bald headed man in a suit emerged from behind him and with a quick brutal swing of a curved sword, took Hubert's head clean off!
Maria was momentarily gripped by shock at what she had just seen, not able to understand or believe it but the sight of Hubert's head and corpse falling to the ground was horribly real. She saw the man that did it accompanied by others get into an old fashioned limousine and drive off, thinking quickly she opened the door and told the driver.
"Follow them, discreetly. Find out where they go." She said quickly and he nodded as she got out of the car and reached for her mobile phone. Most of the coven had these now, they were remarkable devices she thought absently, no need for wires or anything like that but it was only half hearted admiration as she called David back at the coven to inform him of what had just happened.
A squad of their hunters and a clean up crew were there in less than ten minutes and the site was quickly secured, David looked down at Hubert with sadness and grief. He had been there to see Hubert and his partner Stuart meet, oh no he thought with horror he would need to tell Stuart what had happened. A duty that he hated doing but as he came over to Maria who had not left Hubert's body since they had arrived and put an arm around her shoulders to provide some comfort. She leaned gratefully into it as they shared a moment of grief as they had both lost an old friend tonight.

London Coven Manor, One Hour Later...
The Council was silent as they met, not sure what to say in the face of such a loss. All of them had known Hubert for a long time and he had been a friend to many of the coven here.
Now he had been murdered and they had no idea why.
Mina entered, having informed Stuart herself who was now in the hands of Lila and Sandie, sobbing great wretched cries of misery while Mina met with the rest of the council. Her own grief at the death of her long serving assistant was palpable but she suppressed it ruthlessly. There would be time to mourn, for now she thought coldly to herself it was the time to avenge him.
"Do we know where they are?" Mina asked calmly as she took her seat. Maria who was still dealing with what she had seen nodded.
"We tailed them to a manor outside of London. Tudor and with a large estate. We checked them out. There is some oddities with the ownership, it seems to have belonged to a man named Savella for roughly five hundred years." Maria said with a frown.
That caught them up short, could it be that there was another coven of immortals right under their nose all of this time?
"How many are there?" Diana asked now wondering just how many of these 'people' they were dealing with.
"They produce body heat, we know that." Adam told them with a confused look in his eyes. "Not like us and we counted thirty."
This was a strange discovery and Mina didn't like it at all.
"They have financial holdings, we were able now we know the address to tie it to them. But they are hardly the best...old money but with ever diminishing returns." Paul said with a look of disapproval at what he saw as poor financial practices.
"Property holdings are fairly sparse, some profitable pieces but hardly anything to write home about." Sarah told them as she reported what she had managed to uncover.
"But they are well connected." Thomas said as he had information of his own to report. "Old money and all that they have their own hold on the structures of power at least in this country."
"Old but not moving with the times. Just who are these people?" Emma asked with worry at just what they were dealing with.
"Whoever they are, we cannot let them get away with murdering Hubert." Alice said with a snarl and Mina nodded in agreement before giving her command.
"Rally our hunters, as many as we can raise and use our best weapons and armour. We know little about them so use extreme caution." Mina commanded and got up to leave along with the others as they took her lead.
She walked back to her room and opened the chest at the foot of her bed. Pulling out her combat suit, it had been modernised and bared little resemblance to the last one that she had worn during the last war but it was her suit regardless. She held in it her hands and grimaced before shedding her clothes and slipping it on again.
She felt the synthetic material sit snugly around her figure as she tied up her hair and gathered her weapons. She slid her sword into its scabbard, the knives into their slots around her waist along with spare ammo and then her twin modified pistols. She slid up her mask so it covered half of her face and then pulled her hood over her head, turning to look into the mirror she saw the fierce warrior she had been staring back at her and her eyes hardened knowing she would need to fight tonight.

The Brotherhood Manor...Two Hours Later...
The manor was old and in reasonable condition but not the best, the hunters moved around it with caution and stealth but were surprised to find no modern security systems like cameras. It was like one you would find two centuries back albeit with electric lights and gas heating.
The hunters all dressed in their best armour crept closer, easily scaling the wall and moving across the laws which were well kept in the Georgian style.
David was feeling more angry than he had in years, Hubert had been a good man. A solid friend and a devoted member of their people for so many years and he had been murdered for no reason.
He was eager to make their new enemy shed blood for that he thought with hatred pulsing through him.
The old fashioned locks were easily bypassed with picks, he and the others moved inside and and their leather boots made noise as they stepped across the stone floor. The door opposite opened and on instinct one of the men shot him strike in the heart. The bang echoed loudly around the area and the lights flicked on.
"MOVE!" David yelled as he knew the time for stealth was over and their warriors charged forward into the house, Mina stepped into the house with them and glared at the offender who cowered before her however they still had a job to do and so they pressed the attack.
David led the assault, seeing one man carrying a rapier was charging at him but he just shot him in the head and then the next two before having to drop his gun to draw his own sword and engage one of the enemy that had leapt towards him, he parried the blow and then easily forced it aside. Whoever they were he realised they were not as strong as them but a kick to the diaphragm showed that they were just as resilient as they were. The sword fell from his enemy's hands but instead a nail on the thumb grew to a monstrous length right before his eyes and slashed at him but David easily evaded it and with a harsh slice, took the man's hand off and kicked him hard in the head.
Mina herself was working with her hunters, moving a grace grown from years of not just combat experience but the dance classes she had taken, making her flexible and graceful in her attacks.
She found herself against the man that had apparently killed Hubert eventually, a stocky bald headed man in an old fashioned suit who attacked her with a curved sword. Mina however was no novice with her own and parried his moves easily before pivoting around him like a ballet dancer and slashing at his arm as she did so. The cut was harsh enough that he dropped his sword and she managed to kick him hard in the back of the head. He fell forward and into a desk, cleanly knocked out.
There were only thirty of them as Adam had reported and it did not take long for them to be rounded up. Those that had not been killed outright, about twelve in all were tied up and secured on their own lawn as their people checked through the house for anything that might explain just what they were dealing with.
The bald headed leader as with many of his male followers glared at them with dismissive arrogance despite their position. Mina and the women among them especially, there had been no females among them so it was quite clear that they were chauvinists but Mina as she stood in front of the bound leader confirmed it.
"I assume that you despise women, given the looks you give me and my associates." She said as more of a statement than a question. The man with a thick and heavy accent told her with derision.
"Women are frail and stupid. They don't deserve our blessings." He said with complete certainty, Mina however aggravated she felt by that merely raised an eyebrow while the others around her glared at him.
"Yet you are the ones on your knees and the one I disarmed so easily. Blessings though, clearly whatever sewer you crawled out of did not bless you with much wisdom or intelligence." Mina said with cold detachment and the man seemed to try and leap up at her but his bindings held him firm.
However she noticed one of the other surviving members of the group, a younger looking man with dark hair seemed slightly amused by that. She pondered about him as Adam came out with Alice and Maria after having analysed their records.
"They are vampires but of a different kind. They have the nail rather than fangs like us and no greater things beyond physical resilience. They number only what was in the manor and a few outside hunting for these two women." Adam told her as he handed her a pair of pictures, one of an young woman with dark hair in a bob who was admittedly quite beautiful and a teenage girl with a sweet looking face and haunting eyes. Both pictures in black and white, showing signs of age and taking her chance Mina took the pictures and tested her theory by going to the one that had laughed and gambled that he who seemed to reject their ethos by not looking at her or the other women with disdain like the other did might tell her the truth.
"Who are these women?" Mina demanded, holding up the pictures in front of his face and the man looked immediately unsettled, clearly having some personal connection to this. She saw the other prisoners about to protest but a nod from her made sure they were gagged and unable to speak. Her piercing gaze finally made the man talk.
"Clara Webb and her daughter Eleanor, the only women of our kind...they are not permitted to survive but so far have eluded us for nearly two centuries." The man said sadly, he clearly didn't bare them the same ill-will that the others of his kind did.
"So you are vampires, a different kind of vampire to us. Why must they be destroyed? Or are they just a threat to the status quo?" Mina asked him coldly and the man nodded in shame before telling her the whole story.
Mina listened, disgusted by what she was hearing and shaking her head in dismay.
"You would give a man that not only stole from you but pushed one girl into prostitution and then raped another to purposefully infect her with a deadly disease immortality? Then hunt those two women for centuries merely because they threaten your people's outdated and stupid beliefs? Darvell, you are a truly terrible judge of character." She said having learned his name as he had spoken the story, the fact that he seemed to think good of a man like Ruthven despite his clear greedy and viciousness disgusted her. He wilted slightly at her remark having realised that himself in the years since it had happened.
"We will find these women, they do not deserve to spend eternity on the run. They will be allowed to join our coven and live as they choose." Mina said which made many who had heard the story nod in agreement before she then added something to this. "As will you but while the assets of this Brotherhood will be placed in your keeping, it will be solely so you can care for those two women. Is that understood?" She asked him with cold anger and Darvell, despite being older than her by fair degree had to admit this woman was intimidating him. He nodded which earned him glares of the utmost hatred from his fellow Brotherhood members but in truth...he had always known that they were wrong and their pursuit of Clara and Eleanor was too. Clara had simply wanted to live rather than die of illness much as he himself had and to save her daughter after the man that he had once called friend had raped her and left her infected with the same disease.
Why did they have to die? Other than to keep things as they were.
Mina and the others wasted no time in dispatching the others and taking Darvell into more secure custody while Mina turned to Adam and told him.
"Keep searching through those records, I want to know everything they have done and where any more of them are. David, hunt any others out there and take them down. Also look for the two women, I want them found but not harmed."
Adam plus David nodded and with Alice and Maria went to do as she ordered but she was distracted slightly by the fact that another species of vampire had been existing almost under their nose all of these years and they had no clue until they had made the mistake of crossing them.
Could there be other species of vampire out there? Mina wondered, worried as it was no guarantee that they did not have yet more enemies out there. She would have to have the other covens look into it and see just what was hiding in the world.
The search for other species of vampire was met with a certain amount of scepticism from the other covens but they duly looked into it and were incredibly surprised when another species of vampire was indeed found.
Their covens in Central America discovered one that resembled snakes had groups of their own that stretched from Mexico all the way to Panama. They were highly territorial and so they just left them alone for the moment, not sure how to approach them before again another species were found in North America, one that was much more friendly.

Hotel, USA...
Mina sat in the private area of the hotel chosen for this meeting, dressed in a business suit although she had some knives concealed on her person just in case they were needed along with some hunters in disguise concealed nearby. She was not expecting trouble but it was better to be prepared she had always found. Hence why she had arrived early to sweep the place and make sure that it was secure before hand.
At the appointed time her dinner guest arrived, he didn't look like much as he approached. Middle aged wearing a tweed suit that seemed very understated, his brown hair was in disorganised tufts on his head but he had a warm and welcoming smile that many would have found disarming.
"Greetings, I hope I am not too late." He said with a friendly and amused voice. Mina carefully nodded in greeting before saying.
"Not at all you are right on time. Please, take a seat. The bottle." She said politely, calling out to the server who was one of her bottle who approached with a bottle of blood. He carefully poured it into two glasses and that retreated.
The man took the glass and smelled it carefully, humming in appreciation before looking to Mina who took a sip from her own glass to prove it was not poisoned. He smiled and then sipped it himself and hummed again liking the taste.
"Human, Type O- I believe. So we both drink blood, that sounds like a good point to start with." The man said and Mina nodded in agreement.
"Indeed, we both can also take sunlight." Mina noted before the man said with a charming smile.
"So we can but forgive me I have forgotten my manners. I am Modoc, so you must be this Queen Mina that I have heard about when your people made contact." He said with a warm look, Mina raised an eyebrow before replying.
"I have never called myself a queen, that is something my people have given me." She told him rather matter of factly and he nodded with a chuckle.
"You have the bearing of a queen, you ooze authority and strength from every delectable part of you. It speaks greatly of you if your people if they have given you such respect and trust me in my two hundred and fifty six years I have met few people who demand respect and manage to achieve it without effort." He said, complimenting her and although she knew better than to simply accept flattery he was being very charming so she managed a small smile for him.
"Thank you for the compliment. Is it true that your kind age but a single year in a decade? My kind do not age at all." Mina asked him and he nodded.
"It is, we are Living Vampires so I assume that you are undead vampires. An interesting contrast." Modoc said with interest. "I can say I have not encountered another species of vampire and I am wondering if we are so different from each other."
"We shall have time to find out." Mina said before having the glasses refilled and holding hers up in toast. "To a friendly and peaceful exchange."
"Indeed." Modoc said before joining her in a toast, gently knocking their glasses together before drinking.
Strip Club, Manchester, Britain...A Few Weeks Later...
The music was loud and the atmosphere smoky inside the club, it was not pleasant to David or his people as they entered the club and sought out their target. The Brotherhood had been terrible at tracking people, their methods archaic but modern technology had proven much more effective.
Using their influence and faxing pictures of the women they were looking for to all of the police forces in the country had allowed them to pinpoint Clara's location within weeks and her daughter Eleanor had managed to give herself away by cross referencing suspicious deaths in hospitals in the same area.
Now they had finally located their targets, David thought as he sat in a booth nearby and fixed his eyes on Clara.
While he would never cheat on Sandy he did admit that Clara was a beautiful woman, her dark hair was silky and her face pleasing to look at. Her teasing smile enticing and her body highlighted by the underwear she wore slim yet full.
No wonder men frequently would ask for her, he thought as they surrounded the place and specifically her.
Clara was also observant he thought with admiration for her survival instincts as she had noticed them he realised and when she was able to she darted off suddenly, leaving the man who she had been giving a lap dance looking very unhappy. David moved along with his men, chasing after Clara who they easily caught up to as despite being quick on her feet she was nowhere near as fast as them.
Still she managed to reach fire escape and was running out of it when they sprung their trap, a net darted out from the side and caught Clara by surprise. She cried out in anger and fought ferociously to escape it but they secured her and made sure she was securely bound.
Christina smirked as she looked down at the woman with the net-launcher still in hand, turning to David she told him.
"You let her get to the fire escape? Shame on you." She teased him but David rolled his eyes and ignored her, using his mobile phone to call check on the second team.

Hospital, Manchester...Same Moment...
Eleanor having just fed was walking along the corridor, having timed her visit to coincide with visiting time so anyone who saw her would just assume she was a relative of a patient. She only took those who were ready to go but it was still murder in her mind, a necessary fact of her survival but still murder.
She just wished they didn't have to drink human blood, oh that would be worth any sacrifice in her mind she thought with faded hope.
She saw two tall and muscular men walking up the corridor ahead of her, she saw them part to go around her and she would have just let them pass and carried on her way but then suddenly they seized her by the arms and held her tightly before pulling a dark bag over her head!
"HELP!" Eleanor screamed but no-one came. She struggled but whoever these men were they were too strong for her, she felt herself being carried and then thrown against something hard which knocked the wind out of her. Eleanor was terrified, she had no idea just what was going on and desperately wished for her mother, she would know what to do she thought.
She continued to struggle and felt the vibration of a motor vehicle, knowing she was being taken somewhere but had no clue how long or how far she was being taken. Time seemed to stretch out to make it feel like she had been in this dark place forever. Before at last the vehicle stopped and she felt herself being lifted again and thankfully the hood was pulled off so she could see again.
It took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the light but soon it came into focus, she saw she was in a hanger of some kind. The same two men who had been holding her were both at her side and she was pulled forward before she heard a voice that filled her with both relief and dread at the same time.
"ELEANOR!" She looked over and saw her mother Clara being pulled over by three men with her hands tied up securely. Clara looked frantic and while she was deeply relieved to see her mother after her experience Eleanor was now more afraid as whoever these people were they had managed to capture them both. She was allowed to stand next to her mother who was now crying with both fear and love as she looked at her.
"I love you my baby!" Clara said with her eyes full of tears and emotion which was so rare Eleanor could hardly believe it but all the same it was a reminder that whatever she did or said, Clara loved her more than anything.
They stood there for a moment when they heard the sound of footsteps on the concrete floor, looking over they saw a young woman in a business suit with red hair that was much like Eleanor's and at her side another young woman with golden blonde hair in some kind of combat suit. Clara seemed confused and shaken by this although Eleanor had no idea why.
"You're not with the Brotherhood are you?" Clara asked with hope and desperation on her face, thinking if they weren't perhaps there might be a way out of this. The woman with red hair shook her head before answering.
"No thankfully not. They are no longer a concern and we apologize for the rough treatment but I doubted you would come willingly." She said before nodding to her men who to Clara's and Eleanor's shock cut their bounds and released them. The first thing Clara did when she was free was pull Eleanor into a hug and hold her tight. Eleanor leaned into it to take the comfort her mother was offering before asking.
"Brotherhood? Mother do you know these people?" She asked her confused and the mysterious red haired woman raised an eyebrow before asking Clara a question too who looked suddenly unsettled.
"You never told her? What would have happened if they had found Eleanor when you weren't there?" She questioned Clara who with fear spoke to her daughter and told her the part of their story that she had always kept to herself.
"Eleanor, I lied to you when I said there were no others...there are. They call themselves the Brotherhood, a group of men who jealously guard the secret of immortality until I stole it from them. They permitted me to live as long as I did not lay claim on them or create another. A rule I broke to save you after..." Clara said with a familiar horror and anger and shame all rolled into one coming to her, one that she felt every day when she looked at her daughter after what Ruthven had done to her beloved daughter, who she had fought to protect and keep pure all of these years. Who Ruthven had raped to kill her slowly with the rotting disease when Clara had wounded him and stolen the chance to be immortal although no one deserved it less than he did in her mind.
So now Clara was forced to tell Eleanor the whole story, about Darvell and the why they had been forced to hide all of these years. Eleanor was shocked to hear that they had been hunted all of this time and she had never known but before she could ask more questions the mysterious woman spoke again.
"But now you need to hide no longer, you are not the only immortals in this world. We are vampires too but of a different kind and if you wish it then you will be permitted to live among us as free women. The Brotherhood as you called them killed a member of our people and we hunted them down and wiped them out. I am Mina by the way." Mina told them as she let them know that they were safe, she did not talk of such killing lightly but it had been required in this case.
Clara's eyes widened in surprise as she continued to hold the very confused Eleanor before asking to confirm.
"All of them?" She said with shock, not sure she could believe it but then Mina as she was known made an admission.
"All but one." Mina told them and gestured for one of her people to bring in the prisoner. Both Clara and Eleanor looked over to see a man with dark hair being led in and Clara recognised him immediately.
"Darvell." She said in shock, he looked up and smiled slightly as he saw her while Eleanor looked at him with amazement that she would finally meet the man her mother had said was wonderful.
"Clara." He said with a warm look of joy in his eyes. His eyes then looked at Eleanor and studied her in return as she was doing to him. He smiled at her and said. "So this is Eleanor."
"It is." Clara said with discomfort as she did not know what to make of the current situation but Mina then spoke again.
"The assets of the Brotherhood are being placed in Darvell's keeping but on one condition, that he cares for you both. You will both be supported by him." Mina told her with a firm look at Darvell who nodded and looked over to Clara and Eleanor who blinked in surprise at what they were being told.
"We...we don't have to run any more." Clara asked, shocked and uncertain as it had been a way of life for the two of them for nearly two centuries now and for that now to be over, she just didn't know how to process it.
"Other immortals." Eleanor said quietly to herself as it meant that they were not alone as she had long believed.
"Indeed, now...I have a lot to tell you." Mina said as she allowed Darvell to walk over to Clara and Eleanor who looked at him uncertainly before she began to speak and let them know just how things were and what would happen next.
Vampire Coven, London...Two Weeks Later...
The manor that served as the headquarters for the Vampire Covens in Britain was quiet at this time of the day but not empty.
Clara Webb sat on the sofa, frowning as she was at a loss at what to do with herself now that she no longer had to hide both herself and her daughter from the Brotherhood. She didn't even have to hunt or work as a whore or stripper to make money with the Coven's blood collection system and Darvell supporting both her and Eleanor.
Darvell was spending time with the business people of the coven to modernise the assets now in his keeping and Eleanor had decided to go to school as she often did whenever they stayed somewhere for a long enough period but she herself was struggling, not sure just what to do with herself now they did not have to struggle to survive.
She sighed and got up to look at the window, looking out at the immaculate grounds and just stared wondering to herself why become immortal if this was what it was like day after day? Her well honed instincts alerted her to someone approaching and she turned to see the 'queen' of the coven Mina enter. If she had been a whore Mina would have been the most requested Clara considered, her own frame of reference being her own experiences. She was extremely beautiful with her vibrant red hair, alluring blue eyes, perfect face, long legs and hourglass figure, one that made even Clara herself feel somewhat envious. But she also had both style and taste with a well made outfit that showed her body without being vulgar and showy, another thing Clara envied about her.
"Bored?" Mina asked, her voice smooth and educated. While not as old as Clara herself Mina intimidated the other woman with her intense stare and the intelligence and will behind those eyes was deep and burning with an unbreakable strength. Clara nodded with a shiver and added with another tired sigh.
"I had to support myself and my daughter and keep us ahead of the Brotherhood all of these years, now that I don't have to any more I am at a loss for what to do with myself." Clara said bitterly, survival had always been her focus and something she was good at and now she did not have it she honestly felt useless.
Mina nodded, understand more than she knew before telling her as she walked over to the same window so they could share the view.
"The advantage of immortality is that time is always on your side. You come from an era where women had few options and no rights, but now times are changing and the opportunities available for you are plentiful. You have the time and means to adapt yourself to this century and to the next if you care to try. Why not try to make something of yourself? Go to school and get an education like you never could before? Set an example for Eleanor and let her see you too can find something that is yours without clinging to the past?" Mina told her calmly. Many members of the coven had found something they could do to pass the time and make something of themselves in the world, maybe it was time for Clara to do the same?
Clara was silent as she considered Mina's words, she was a whore and it was what she knew. Seduction being her key ability as trading on her looks had been all she had but she knew how much Eleanor disliked it and while it grated that her own daughter looked down at her she too had to admit it was demeaning to her sometimes, something she did out of necessity not because she liked it.
The idea of going to school herself was so strange to her, she had no experience in such a thing as there had been nothing like that when she had been a child. Over the years she had managed with some help to learn how to read and write but only as much as she had too, it had hardly been a luxury which she could indulge in but now she could Clara realised with stunned realisation.
She did find herself drawn to the idea of making something of herself, building something of her own and not have to sell herself or others to do it. Prove not least of which to herself but more importantly to Eleanor that she was more than this and that she did not have to be ashamed of her.
Clara nodded as she made her decision, committing herself to this with the same determination that she had to keeping herself and Eleanor safe from the Brotherhood. She would make the most of her opportunity and do something with her life.

Private School, London...Same Moment...
Eleanor was looking around the corridor, dressed in her school uniform in grey and white. She was the new girl again and having many years experience at it she knew she stood out but this time she was not alone, she had someone with her...someone who she could actually confide in.
"Ignore them. They'll get bored eventually." Lila Lee said with a smile, herself knowing what it was like. They both stuck together as they walked through the corridors. They saw boys staring at them with interest which was something they were both sadly used to as they knew people considered them beautiful even if they themselves were both too modest to think that way. The girls looking at them with suspicion and envy which again they both were sadly used too.
"Is the school challenging?" Eleanor asked Lila who shrugged slightly.
"They have a good program but it is reasonably tough." Lila told her with disinterest. "Try hard and you pass."
"Is English any good?" Eleanor asked, it being an particular interest of hers. Lila thought for a moment before answering.
"Pretty good."
Eleanor liked that, she thought to herself. She loved writing and reading, it was her favourite pastime and she liked the idea of being challenged for once. They walked off to their first class in silence eager to get on with the day.
Castle, Romania...Later that Year...
The covens search for other vampire species had not stopped after their first few discoveries, the more distant covens were occasionally finding new leads but it was the Romanian Coven that found the most promising, despite the local Communist government they had managed to establish a coven there in the years since the end of the second world war.
A trail of deaths had occurred, corpses drained of blood which was a telltale sign of vampires and it was starting to get noticed by the authorities who suspected it might be a serial killer. The coven however knew better and so a team of hunters led by David had been deployed to the area to track down this vampire and see what they were dealing with.
Another rogue...or something more.
The trail led them to a castle in the more rugged parts of the country, an ancient structure that was in reasonable shape for its incredible age but was certainly ruined in some areas. David looked at it and felt it was foreboding but they kept on going, the bodies left behind led them to this castle and as darkness fell they dared to enter.
The stone corridors echoed with their footsteps however quiet they tried to be, but through that noise they also heard things going on elsewhere, the sounds of metal striking against metal and David turned to his men and told them.
"Hurry."
Abandoning all attempts to be stealthy they raced to the source of the noises and came upon a very confusing and disturbing scene. Four people seemed to be locked in some kind of harsh struggle, a woman with a bleeding wound on her neck was waving a flaming torch to protect herself from a snarling woman with fangs not unlike their own but she was definitely more animalistic than they were. On the other side of the room two men fought with each other and they were the ones holding the swords although to call one of them a man was a fair stretch. His face was ghastly to look at with skin so white it looked like paper and twisted in an demonic visage, blood staining the corners of his mouth and his eyes glaring with an inhuman anger.
David and his hunters watched as the woman with the torch waved it at her own foe to force her back while the normal looking man swung his sword to cut a rope and send a chandelier made of metal down onto the animalistic woman, impaling her through the chest.
This seemed to enrage the demonic looking man who charged with a snarling rage, David however had seen enough and decided to get involved. He leapt into action and drew his own sword, made from titanium and customised to his own specifications it was perfect for him and allowed him to completely surprise the demonic man who on reflex swung his own blade and the two swords met with a clang but the older steel blade the other man was using was not as strong as David's newer and better one, allowing David to cut it in half!
The demonic man stumbled but the other hunters were on him in moments and drew their stakes, putting one straight in his heart while another took his head with a single swipe of his sword.
The young woman and man looked over in surprise at their sudden appearance and even fear as they were still dressed in their full hunter outfit which concealed their identity. David now was able to smell them and while different he could tell the man was not as young as he seemed, many years clung to him and he could smell blood on his breath. The young woman meanwhile was was still human for the moment but it would not be long as they could smell the taint coming from the wound. She was already starting to turn and would within a few days be like the other man.
"Who are you?" The young woman asked with fear at their intimidating appearance. David looked down at the bodies and saw there was actually another young woman dead not too far away and an injured old man nearby who was human.
"Hunters, we have been tracking that creature over there as he left a trail of bodies for us to follow." David told them. "You are vampires aren't you? I can smell it on you."
The man seemed surprised by this and the woman seemed scared but the man nodded slowly.
"Yes...I am Stefan. This is Michelle, she will become one...nothing can stop that now." Stefan said with sadness at her fate, Michelle looked scared at it and rushed over to him so he could hold her in his arms. "That thing was Radu, my half demon half vampire brother. The other girls were victims brought under his thrall. He wanted the bloodstone and everything else he could set his eyes on."
"The bloodstone?" David asked him as the men dealt with the other two female corpses and made sure the old human man was fine. Stefan nodded before getting the object in question, a crystal of some kind with a grasping bronze metal object around it.
"This is the bloodstone, an object supposed to contain the blood of the saints. It refills itself and vampires who hold it do not need to drink from humans." Stefan told them and Michelle finally had enough of being silent and spoke up herself.
"Who are you? More vampires?" She asked with her own discomfort as she could already feel the change happening inside her and knew it would not be long before she turned.
"Vampires yes, like Stefan...no. We are vampires of a different kind and make sure that we remain undetected by humans. Radu was endangering the secret so dealing with him became our business." David explained calmly. But the sight of the rising sun made Stefan and Michelle become nervous which confused David before he realised they must be more vulnerable to it than they were themselves.
"We must rest." Stefan said before Michelle asked him with a pleading in her eyes.
"Stefan, I don't want to become a monster like him. Its the only way." She urged him and he slowly nodded before biting her carefully to turn her himself. They moved towards coffins followed by David who told them.
"We will handle the clean up, rest and we will speak tomorrow night." David reassured them as they took their rest and sealed themselves safely in their coffins. He sighed with annoyance at the wait but let them sleep.
"David! Something weird is happening!" One of his men called out and David expecting the worst rushed into the room with his sword already drawn but was stunned to see three small imp like creatures trying to reattach Radu's head. Drawing his gun he and the others pointed and fired, hitting the small creatures which imploded into dust when they hit them.
The group shared a look in astonishment before David with fear for just what they were dealing with here told them.
"Burn that body, really burn it." David told them with urgency and they all did exactly as he said, burning Radu's body to ashes and then securing the ashes in a container to make sure. David as he looked at it wondered just how those imps had happened and would need to ask that of Stefan and Michelle when they awoke.

Sunset...Hours Later...
When the sun finally went down they had searched the rest of the castle and thankfully not found any more surprises and no more of the strange imp things. David kept a close eye on the remains of Radu before finally Stefan awakened from his sleep.
"Thank you." Stefan said with gratitude before David asked the question that he needed answering.
"Strange imp like creatures tried to resurrect Radu while you slept. We stopped them and burned his body but what were those things?" David asked with confused worry. Stefan grimaced before explaining.
"As I said before, Radu is not just a vampire but his mother was a demonic sorceress creature. He had some of her abilities including making those creatures that you saw. She will resurrect him if given the opportunity." Stefan said with worry that Radu might return.
David frowned, this was going far outside his own experience now but this creature he was describing could be a very dangerous threat. He would need to confirm with Mina as this was something beyond their current mission but his first instinct was to destroy the threat.
"I will need to return to Bucharest to speak with my boss but if she agrees then we shall see what we can do." David told him and Stefan stiffened before adding a new piece of information.
"That is where Radu's mother is at the moment."
David frowned before nodding as this would need to be resolved before they left the country. The other coffin then opened and Michelle emerged, looking a great deal more pale than she had before.
"Stefan." She asked with confusion as she could feel the change hadn't completed yet but she wasn't fully human either.
"Michelle." Stefan said with a smile as he went over to her and comforted her, still holding the bloodstone in his hand as he knew she was still partly human for the moment. That would pass within another day or so at the most, he would be there to help her when the time came but for now she needed his reassurance.

Bucharest, Romania...The Next Day...
The day was busier than the night given the government still was trying to enforce its will on the people but this worked in David's favour as he and his people now dressed in regular clothes could move with ease through the streets as they had acquired all the necessary passes and paperwork to pass the local authorities without trouble.
Arriving at the place Stefan had told them about, where the 'demon witch' lived. They found one of the more elaborate openings to the catacombs and sewers under the city, entering them with great trepidation David led his team into the complex series of tunnels. They seemed to go on forever as they moved through the tunnels until finally they found their target.
It was a strange sight, a chamber that had a fireplace on the far side and old style metal gates. A stone table and the corners of the room were covered with vials and jars filled with strange looking potions that made noxious smells that filled the room but over the cauldron in the centre of the room was the one they had been looking for.
It was easily the most revolting thing that they had ever seen before; a creature that had shrivelled up eye sockets and brown rotting skin that stretched over the human shaped skeleton. Clumps of discoloured hair hung off of her head and the figure of an old crone looked up at them, how she had noticed them with how quiet they had been and not having any eyes confused them but her arm raised, bracelets on her wrists and with talon like fingers gestured at them with a snarling rasping voice.
"You are not welcome here!" The old witch said at them but then she seemed to realise something through some sense that they did not understand. Then her raspy voice went up several octaves, so high it actually hurt their ears. "YOU KILLED RADU!" She told them accusingly and David drew his gun and fired with the rest of his people doing the same.
They were using a mix of different ammunition as they had no idea just what would actually affect her; armour piercing, incendiary, explosive and a few others at her, they were all were crack shots and hit the target but this creature was shockingly resilient!
It still lunged towards even after putting at least twenty rounds of different types in her chest and still was moving towards them with a dagger drawn! David on instinct pulled a stake and thrust it hard into her chest while another man drew his sword and took off her head.
While this finally did the trick it was not a quiet death, the creature screeched so loudly for what seemed like forever, making their eardrums bleed before finally dropping dead.
David and his men looked down at the creature with disgust and reluctant awe, they had never seen anything like it before and as they burned the body and her place to wipe it clean they could only wonder what fresh challenges and surprises lay ahead.
There we are, hope you liked it. Please leave a review and let me know what you think.

Next Chapter – The Coven enters the 21st Century.
