Movie 8: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan

Like silencing the voice of a baby with the soft hush of its mother, an entire galaxy would meet a swift and silent end. Not a soul would live to tell the tale as the galaxy was tuned into space dust, scattering across the stars of space.

King Kai mourned the many lives that were unfairly ripped away with a lowered head. His sullen mood couldn't last for long as he realized that the overwhelmingly powerful individual responsible was heading to his galaxy next.

In times like these, there was only one individual he could count on to save the day.

"Makima, can I take this suit off now?"

"No, darling." Makima repeated for what felt like the 20th time today. And to be fair, it WAS the 20th time today that Goku had asked her this question.

While their son and the rest of their friends were off enjoying the Hanami Festival today, she and her husband had more important matters to handle. At the moment, they were waiting in the incredibly long line of one of the most highly profiled academies in the country. Today was the only day the school would allow admissions for the upcoming school year, interviewing parents to see if their children were worth enrolling. An interview that called for BOTH parents unless there were unfortunate circumstances.

And she couldn't exactly lie and say that her husband was dead…this time.

And was it a weird time to hold one of these with the Cell Games looming over their heads like a grim reaper's scythe? Yes, but the promise of safety from the world's champion, Hercule Satan, has seemingly revitalized hope and security within the human race. Enough so to make them return to their daily lives.

Such stupid creatures to believe in a buffoon like him. Still, she'll take advantage of the situation

Son Goku whined like a child as he fiddled with the uncomfortable grey suit that Makima had forced on him. "But it's so stuffy! I can hardly move my muscles!"

"Probably because your muscles have increased in size due to all of the training you've done recently." Makima comments, uncaringly. She's dressed in a beautiful teal blue business dress that hugs her body nicely, matching with her husband's colors.

Behind her, he frowns in a pouty way. "Come on, Makima! Can't we just go hang out with Gohan and the others! Fami's probably eating up all the food Bulma's chefs prepared!"

"We can-"

"Yes!"

"-After we get Gohan enrolled."

He would have fallen to his knees if it didn't mean dirtying the suit and suffering the wrath of his wife. Goku crossed his arms. "Can't you just…uh…make them enroll him?"

"I could." She doesn't deny how easy it would be. "However, that would deny us the chance to experience putting in the effort for our son to experience life like normal children his age. Like any good parents should."

"Being a parent sounds boring."

"You ARE a parent."

"I know…" Goku groaned. He could feel his stomach growling just at the thought of the delicious food everyone else was probably eating. Goku looks up, blinking at the pink petals that danced across the sky. Some of his more negative emotions faded away like the breeze sweeping the petals. "But at least we still get to see the Sakura Petals."

Makima looks up at the swirl of pink with a soft smile. "Yes, no matter where we are, they're certainly a breathtaking sight."

Meanwhile, a mysterious survivor of the Saiyan race known as Paragus arrived in the middle of the gang's Hanami picnic. He declared to Vegeta that he had claimed a new Planet Vegeta in the prince's honor, inviting him to take his rightful place on the throne. Paragas completes his offer by revealing that there is another Saiyan out there as well, the Legendary Super Saiyan, a powerful warrior that had destroyed the South Galaxy. Being the arrogant bastard that he was, Vegeta happily accepted the offer.

Trunks, Gohan, Krillin, Oolong, a drunk Roshi, and Fami followed Vegeta to ensure the prince wasn't walking into a trap.

Bulma, with baby Trunks in her arms, watched the huge spaceship depart with her baby daddy and the others. She could only hope that nothing bad happened and that they all come back safe.

And then she realizes that Gohan just ran into space without his mother knowing… Great! She was definitely looking forward to that conversation.

"So, Makima, you've done interviews before, right?" Goku asks his wife. The pace of the egregiously long line had picked up a bit, so now they were inside the expensive campus' stairwell. He held a few bags of cookies that Makima had prepared for him knowing that he'd get hungry.

"Yes. I've interviewed employees plenty of times." Makima answered.

"But like, have you been on the other side of them?"

"A few in previous times." By that, she meant in previous lifetimes. Those were just for fun rather than anything important to her goals of world domination.

"What kind of things should I expect?" Goku wondered, crumbling up an empty cookie bag. He handed it to his wife, who pocketed it inside of her purse to hide her obliteration of the trash.

"They'll just be asking you of your favorite activities, such as your hobbies and interests." Makima answered.

The Saiyan hummed, eyes staring up at the ceiling. "Hobbies and interests? Like…martial arts?"

"Yes, that is your main interest in life. Athletic professions such as MMA, boxing, judo, and the like are worthy paths to take. They come with their fair share of issues but that's every road in life." Makima turns to her husband. "But that's not the only thing you could mention, darling."

"What do you mean?" He asked, curiosity written all over his face.

She turns around fully to face him. "You can mention your love for nature, your indomitable will to never back down from a challenge, your pursuit of self-improvement, and the overwhelming love you hold for your friends and family." With each point, the Control Devil tightened the proximity between them. Their faces were inches apart, passionate heat could be felt by everyone around them. Goku couldn't help but hold his wife close, hands snugly placed on her hips.

While they were lost in their love, the line was still moving in front of them. The parents behind them, while finding the display cute, were growing annoyed by the delay. A karen-like woman pushed her hand against Goku's back, but gaped at the fact that the man wouldn't budge. She kept pushing but Goku's iron-like body weighed far too heavily. The woman beckoned for the people behind her to help push the Super Couple. Every single able body started shoving as if they were trying to breach the walls of a castle, unfortunately it still wasn't enough to move the Saiyan.

A few minutes later, Goku and Makima broke out of their trance to catch up with the moving line, completely ignorant to the exhausted humans behind them.

The Son family parents sat in the headmaster's office for their interview. Per his wife's instructions, Goku wouldn't talk unless he was directly asked a question, so he was simply sitting in his chair with a bored feeling. His wife went on about whatever things these people clearly wanted to hear while they went over Gohan's academic files.

He kinda wished something exciting would happen.

"Goku!"

"Hm?"

"Goku! Goku, can you hear me?!"

"Huh? King Kai?" Goku muttered, not expecting to hear his teacher's voice. "Hey, King Kai!"

"Goku, I need to see you immediately! Do not delay it's a-" Suddenly, King Kai's voice vanished from his head.

"Wait what?" Goku blinked, confused. He looked around to see his wife was still talking to the school's primary heads. However, the savior of the universe noticed a small vein pulsating on his wife's forehead.

"Gah! Dammit, Control!" King Kai's voice returned, irritation loud and clear. "Goku, I need you to listen to me quickly before she shuts me out again! It's a big emergency-" And his voice was gone again.

"King Kai?" Goku calls for his instructor.

"Mr. Son, are you okay?" The headmaster asked, catching Goku's attention.

Goku rubs the back of his head. "Oh yeah, sorry! Hehe!"

Adjusting his glasses, the older man looked over his sheets. "Well, your wife has talked quite a bit, however we'd like to hear from you as well."

"Oh, cool-guh!" Makima elbows him lightly. "I mean, that would be perfect!" He straightens his back and speech.

"Your son's file here mentions that you both dabble in…martial arts? Could you tell us how a field such as that encourages an academic mindset?"

"Oh! I-uh-"

"GOKU! I NEED YOU, RIGHT NOW!" King Kai suddenly shouts into his head.

"Yeesh! King Kai, no need to yell!" Goku winces loudly, confusing the academic heads. Makima was simply tapping her finger on her lap, her anger clear as day to anyone that knew her.

"THIS IS A SERIOUS EMERGENCY! I NEED YOU-GAH-DAMMIT!" The Northern Kai screams painfully. "CONTROL YOUR FREAKING WIFE FOR ONCE-GAAH!"

Coming to a clear decision, Goku stands from his seat. "Sorry, Makima, but King Kai needs me for something."

"Darling-"

"Mr. Son-"

"I'll be back, I promise!" Before she could stop him, Goku teleports away to his teacher's small planet, leaving his spot completely empty. Makima pinched the bridge of her nose while the three humans gawked at the disappearing act.

"M-Mrs. Son… Is your husband some kind of magician-AH!" The minds of the academic heads went blank as Makima's control overcame their pathetic souls. A chain whipped out into the security cameras to erase the footage completely. She'll deal with whoever was watching them in a second as soon as she rewrites these humans' memories into accepting her son.

She was pissed, incredibly so. This was supposed to be a relatively peaceful day where she and her husband worked together to get their son accepted into a school, go enjoy the Hanami Festival, and then all go home. But that was too much to ever ask for if the universe had anything to say about it.

Makima was hoping that King Kai died by the end of the year, preferably crashing that car of his into that tiny little house he owns or blowing up into tiny bits, either one works.

Paragus introduced Vegeta, Trunks, and the others to the 'New' Planet Vegeta. A near desolate world with a very small population of tiny green people and an entire militia. When they arrived at the palace, Paragus introduced the group to his son, Broly.

Broly is a light skinned Saiyan with dark eyes and black spiky hair reaching his mid-back with short bangs framing his forehead. Broly is a towering man with a lean but well-built frame. His facial expression had a melancholic demeanor to it. He is shirtless while wearing white pants with a red waist cloak draped around his waist and secured by a yellow belt with a blue gem-center. He also wears similar yellow boots with a blue gem at the top and the front. On his head and around his neck are golden accessories with a similar blue gem on the center.

While everyone else stared at the newly discovered Saiyan in awe, Fami could see something more, something that made her stop munching on her snacks for a moment. While her eyes weren't as perceptive as Death or Makima's, she still held a level of ocular powers that let her peer into the colors of the soul. It didn't take her long to see that Paragus' soul was as nasty as sewer water (Which actually didn't taste that bad).

Broly's soul was pitch black, like a pit that swallowed up everything around it. There was no light, no hope, no signs of actual life. Just a pure black that desires nothing more than the destruction of everything and everyone.

"Ah. So, he's the Legendary Super Saiyan…makes sense." Fami realized as she took another bite of her cookies. Looks like they (Specifically Vegeta) had been led into a trap. She looked back at Paragus, who was clearly trying to keep everything hidden. Well, it looks like he wasn't trying to sick the guy on them at the moment, which meant she didn't have to worry about it.

Fami honestly didn't feel like fighting at all today, so avoiding a confrontation would be in her best interest. And judging by the fact that everyone, including her intelligent nephew, couldn't figure out the Broly was the Legendary Super Saiyan meant that she could continue being lazy until the inevitable.

"Auntie." She looks down at her nephew, his concerned gaze meeting her lazy eyes. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah." Fami answered with a shrug.

As Bulma predicted, Makima eventually appeared at the Hanami Picnic, though the Control Devil was already agitated about something. Judging by the fact that Goku was nowhere to be seen, the single mother could guess what happened.

Makima scanned over the park, noticing the lack of her son and several others, and came to a conclusion as she approached Bulma. "Let me guess, they're in space, aren't they?"

"Let me guess, Goku went to King Kai's?"

"You think they're connected?"

"Very likely. Explain the situation to me." Makima ordered.

"Hold him." Bulma, seeing Trunks reaching for the Devil, handed him off to Makima. The scientist reached into her purse to pull out some wipes. She began wiping down her son's face and started explaining. "Some unknown Saiyan called Paragus dragged Vegeta off into space to fight some Legendary Super Saiyan, the others followed to make sure he didn't get himself killed."

Makima readjusted her hold on the hybrid baby, bouncing him gently. Trunks giggles as he snuggles into the demon's chest. The Control Devil rolled her eyes at the tale. "So, Vegeta fell into an obvious ploy and got my son dragged into his mess. Great." There was also the fact that her son rushed off into space without even attempting to warn her. She'll punish him for that later.

"What happened to Goku?" Bulma asked.

"King Kai called for him during the interview, likely to deal with this Legendary Super Saiyan issue if our luck is anything to go by." Makima explained. "Do you think you can track them?"

"Shouldn't be too hard to lock onto Paragus' ship's signal. You'll have to take the ship at Capsule Corp." Bulma answered.

"Then, we'll need to move now." Makima said.

Bulma turned to look over at her parents, who were still enjoying the festival. "Mom! Dad! Watch over your Grandson!" Makima gently floated the baby over to Panchy, who was more than happy to hold her grandson.

"Have fun, sweetie!" Panchy waved.

"Bring back some of my beers in my office!" Dr. Briefs requested.

"Get them yourself!" Bulma barked back before taking Makima's hand. The two women disappeared in a flurry of Sakura Petals.

After receiving his assignment to stop the Legendary Super Saiyan, Goku traced the warrior's energy across the galaxy. He had found one of the planets that had fallen victim to the Saiyan's might. As much as he was looking forward to battling someone of this magnitude that didn't mean he approved of the Saiyan's evil methods. Goku understood that this guy needed to be stopped at all costs.

Luckily, he was able to trace where the Saiyan's power had gone which led him straight to 'New' Planet Vegeta. He received a stray punch to his face courtesy of Krillin the moment he teleported into the middle of a…freedom fight?

His son, who was also here for some reason, explained what was going on. Apparently, they were freeing these little green people who were being mistreated by the militia on this planet. They had been brought here by a Saiyan known as Paragus, who wanted Vegeta to take his spot as the King of all Saiyans and defeat the Legendary Super Saiyan.

"What are you doing here, Dad?" Gohan asked.

"King Kai asked me to check out the whole business with the Legendary Super Saiyan too. I tracked his energy here." Goku responded.

Trunks narrowed his eyes. "Wait, you mean the Legendary Super Saiyan is here?!"

"Well, I don't know. I felt his energy, but it suddenly vanished as soon as I got here." Goku scratched his cheek. "But since I'm here I can just wait for it to pop back up!"

"The more the merrier I'd say!" Goku and the others turned around to see Paragus walking over to them. "I can't say I was expecting one of the sons of Bardock to still be alive after these years, but it seems I underestimated my fellow Saiyans."

Goku tilted his head. "Huh? Bardock? Who's that?"

"Your father. He was an average fighter but a brilliant scientist!"

"Really?!"

"No." Paragus cut the jokes with a bored tone. It surprised him to see that Goku so easily believed the joke, but concluded the man was likely a complete idiot. "Still, feel free to make yourselves at home. This is our new home world for our dwindling race, after all."

While Paragus walks away, Krillin slaps his friend on the back. "Anyway, it's good to have you here, Goku! Feels me with a bit more confidence about all of this!"

"...Yeah." Goku mutters, his eyes locked onto Paragus' retreating form. There was something about the guy that didn't sit right with him at all. But he didn't have time to worry about that now, especially since he had a mission to take care of.

RUMBLE!

"Oops!" Goku laughed, rubbing his stomach. "Guess, I'm still pretty hungry even after that feast King Kai made! Hehe!"

"Here." Fami tosses him a box full of cooked ham. "You're gonna need it."

"What do you mean?" Goku blinks, but the Famine Devil doesn't elaborate as she goes back to eating her own food.

"By the way, Dad, where's Mom?" Gohan asked.

"Probably upset that neither of us are on Earth." Goku shrugged. He'll deal with that after this whole mess is finished. Hearing that his mother was upset didn't exactly fill Gohan with a lick of pleasant feelings, he knew a punishment was awaiting him back home.

Bulma finished inputting the coordinates of Paragus' ship's signature into the spaceship. Makima stood behind her, having discarded her business attire for her Public Safety uniform. "Have you finished, Bulma?"

"Yup! At max speed it shouldn't take you longer than a few hours to reach whatever planet Paragus took them." Bulma explained.

"Good." Makima uncrossed her arms and approached the control panel. "In case anything goes wrong, be sure to have the Dragon Balls ready. While I hate relying on them, we're in a situation of unpredictability. I rather not risk anything unfortunate."

"Gotcha! Then I'll-"

"Not so fast!" The two women turned to the entrance of the ship to see Piccolo standing in the doorway. His cape bellowed softly as he stepped closer to them. "You're not leaving without me."

Makima rolled her eyes. "Figured you'd catch on before I could leave. I assume you felt their energies leave the planet?"

"Pretty much. You can fill me in on the entire situation on our way there. The more time we waste, the more likely the others are in danger." Piccolo responded.

"You can admit that you're mostly concerned about Gohan." Makima teased, causing the Namekian to blush.

"Shut up!" He huffed.

Bulma picked up her bag, hurrying towards the door. "I'll get started on finding the Dragon Balls! Good luck, you two!" Bulma watches as the ship ascends through the clouds, entering the atmosphere at breakneck speed.

Inside the ship, the two took their seats, watching as the stars flew on by the ship. Piccolo crossed his arms, lowering his head. "So…did Gohan get into that school?"

"After I took control of them, yes."

"I thought you-"

"All of this happened."

"Ah."

"Did you bring Senzu Beans?" Makima asked.

Piccolo raised a small brown pouch. "Three."

"Good enough."

Silence returned between them after that, the only sound entering their ears was the sound of the ship's engines.

Paragus stormed through his castle, sweating profusely at the rapid changing events occurring. Things were going smoothly until the unpredictable variable identified as Bardock's youngest son arrived on this planet. Sure, the arrogant prince was growing impatient, but that was still workable. However, Kakarot's presence was going to send his unstable son on a downward spiral if something wasn't done.

He still needed to buy time for Comet Camori's arrival, his key to his ultimate revenge plan against Vegeta-the KING Vegeta-not the prince. To be honest, the prince had done nothing wrong to him or his son other than being rude. But the sins of the father fall upon the son, so this was the next best thing he was ever going to get.

Stepping into his son's chambers, Paragus' mood worsened upon finding the room empty. His son, when under control, was never known for moving around unprompted. Broly would sit quietly in his chamber, stuck in a slumber that kept his murderous impulses in-check under the gems' power. But if Broly wasn't in his chamber, then the only other place he could be was-

BOOM!

"BROLY!" Paragus shouted, rushing out of the chamber quickly. Dashing out of the palace, the evil Saiyan let out a panic gasp upon seeing a loud burst of green energy erupting in the distance. He quickened his speed to reach the epicenter, thrusting the control device around his hand.

Confronting his unstable child was, as he predicted, Kakarot. The Saiyan in orange could only watch in amazed horror at Broly's enormous power.

Stomping down between the two, Paragus activated the control device. "Broly! Calm down, now!"

"RAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Broly roared, his emerald-colored aura pulsating violently.

"STOP! STOP, BROLY!"

"HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!" A gut-wrenching evil laugh emerged from the Saiyan.

"NOW!" Paragus cried one last time. Thankfully, for all of their sakes, Broly started to calm down. His aura vanishes with a whisper, his hair turning back to its black color, and his muscles shrinking to normal size.

Acting quickly, Paragus gently turned his son around. "Let's get you back to the palace. It's almost time." Broly listened, but not before giving Goku one last glance. The two full-blooded Saiyans flew off towards the palace, leaving Goku standing near the lake.

Goku's face scrunched into a nervous scowl. "I get it…he's the one. Broly's the Legendary Super Saiyan."

"About time you realized."

"AH?!" Goku jumps, turning around to see Fami sitting in a tree with an apple in her mouth. She took another bite while her brother-in-law straightened himself out. "Fami?! I thought you were asleep?!"

"I don't need sleep."

"Oh yeah. I think I remember Makima mentioning that you Horsemen don't necessarily need to sleep. But I don't remember." Goku rubs the back of his head. The two stared at each other until Goku remembered what she said before. "Wait, you knew Broly was the Legendary Super Saiyan?!"

"From the moment I first saw him."

"Why didn't you say anything?!"

"I didn't want to fight."

"Ahhhhh! That makes sense!" Goku chuckles at her lazy nature. "I guess, I should get moving then, huh?"

"Yup." Fami took another bite. "Might want to hurry before they kill Vegeta or whatever. Not that it would be that bad of a loss if they did."

"Don't say that! Vegeta's a great guy!"

Fami gives him a look.

"Trunks and Bulma would be upset."

"They're the only ones who would."

After a while, Piccolo looks over to his companion. "Is there a reason you didn't invite War?"

"Why should I babysit her? If she's stupid enough to miss something important then that's her problem." Makima answered, coldly.

"Fair."

"Why didn't you tell her if it bothers you so much?" Makima asked back.

"I don't care if she does or doesn't but figured that you would because she's your sister."

Makima gives him a look.

The Namekian huffs. "You like having extra hands when necessary."

"We'll have more than enough with four Super Saiyans. She's unnecessary in the grand scheme of things."

"So, you're fine with Gohan fighting now?"

"I'm not fine with it. But he's a Super Saiyan now, so there's only so much I can do to stop him from getting involved. At this point, all I can do is be there to watch over him." Makima answered, truthfully. "He takes too much after his Father in that regard."

"It's not just him that Gohan takes after." Piccolo thinks, keeping it to himself.

"Hopefully, darling is keeping the situation under control before we get there."

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHHHH!"

Welp, things certainly weren't under control anymore.

To summarize, Paragus realized he had finally been caught and revealed his evil scheme of getting them all (Specifically Vegeta) killed by the cataclysmic Comet Camori. During his explanation, Broly completely lost his cool, his hatred for Goku was far too strong to keep him contained under Paragus' control. Vegeta attempted to stop Broly, but his power was like a love tap in the face of the Legendary Super Saiyan. Now the prince was left gasping in disbelief on his knees like a frightened child.

With his unbridled power fully unleashed, Broly's skin exploded forth like shedding a cocoon. Everyone had to shield their eyes from the sheer force of Broly's energy becoming blindingly bright. When it died down, everyone could only look speechlessly at the raw magnitude of the Legendary Super Saiyan. Broly's body had increased in size, towering over all present with massive muscles. His hair had changed into a unique color from the usual golden Super Saiyan, now spiking up with a bright green aesthetic. His pupils vanished from his eyes, showing that the Saiyan was completely consumed by his rage.

"So, he's the one…the Legendary Super Saiyan…?!" Vegeta speaks with heavy breaths.

"Why is his hair green?" Fami questioned. Though she didn't receive any answer for her question.

Broly took a single step, shaking the ground in the wake of his might. He pointed directly at Goku. "Kakarot, I'm going to cover this planet in blood starting with yours!"

"No, you won't!" Gohan declared as he stepped in front of his father.

"RAAAAH!" Broly charges forward to battle the father-son duo. Goku moves to protect his son, knowing how dangerous this enemy was. Broly wasn't going to let them go that easily and gave chase.

Trunks got over his stupor, realizing that Goku and Gohan needed help. "They're in trouble! C'mon, Dad!" He flies off to assist them.

Vegeta, however, continues to sit in uncharacteristic fear. "I-it's no use…we're all gonna die."

"You're correct, Vegeta." Paragus steps into view, savoring Vegeta's fear. "Now that Broly's broken free of my control, there's nothing in this universe that can stop him now." The two of them watch the battle between Broly and the good-hearted Saiyans, the planet shivering from the chaos of the fight. "When Broly was born, your Father deemed him too dangerous to keep alive. He ordered to have us both killed and thrown out with the trash. It was only by the saving grace of Broly's unfathomable power that we survived the destruction of our home world." He looks down at the shivering prince. "And now that power shall be used to wipe your disgraceful bloodline off the face of the universe!"

"Cool story."

"What?!" Paragus turns around to see Fami standing right behind him. The Famine Devil looked bored as she munched on a bag of chips. Her demeanor confused the vengeful Saiyan. "A-are you not afraid?"

"Not really. Anyway, I'm going to round up the others. Have fun, Vegeta." Fami walks away with a wave. It wasn't like she expected the prince to respond since he was still frozen in fear. Thinking about it now…if they were on Earth could a Devil of Broly's might be born if someone like Vegeta was actually scared of him?

She shrugged, deciding that it wasn't an important thought to have since they weren't on Earth anyway.

"That's not good!" Piccolo exclaimed, staring out the window to see the massive light blue comet coming straight for their goal.

"Of course, it can't be anything simple…" Makima muttered. That comet wasn't the only issue, because that bottomless power level being felt from the planet below was honestly an even bigger problem. The situation seemed dire right from the get-go and there wasn't any time left to dilly dally.

Once the Capsule Corp ship landed on the planet, Makima and Piccolo wasted no time in dashing through the air to reach the battle. The Control Devil caught a glimpse of Fami, Krillin, Oolong, Roshi, and some small green aliens heading in their direction, likely trying to reach their ship after seeing it land. Whatever, as long as they stayed out of the way then she had no issue with that. All they needed to focus on was the upcoming battle ahead.

Broly stood above the desolate city, his foes defeated around him. The malicious Saiyan relished in his victory and the carnage that awaited him. Best yet, he'll not only get to kill Kakarot but the fool's son as well. Speaking of son, he looks over towards the unconscious boy dangling from a building. Broly fired off a KI blast strong enough to kill the brat for good, but a silver chain yanked the boy out of the way before it could land. Broly is confused until he sees the boy land in the arms of Makima, the woman holding him tightly.

"So, you find picking on kids enjoyable?" Broly turns to see Piccolo standing across from him with his arms crossed.

"Hmph! I do what needs to be done, but what else do you expect from a true freak?!" Broly laughs.

Makima pops a bean into her son's mouth, helping him chew and swallow it. The effects are immediate, waking her son up. Gohan's eyes brighten at the sight of his mother's yellow swirls. "Mom!"

"Thank you for holding out, son." Makima sets him down to stand on his own feet. "C'mon, Piccolo is helping your Father and Trunks."

"Mr. Piccolo's here too?!" Gohan exclaimed happily as he followed his mother. The two flew over to the building where a healed Goku was waiting for them. He smiled at his wife and son with his usual grin.

"Gohan, you're okay! And hey, Makima!" Goku greets his wife with a tender touch, something that didn't go unnoticed by Broly. The evil Saiyan kept his eyes on them the whole time, waiting for them to resume the battle. It didn't take long for him to piece together the relationship held between the three and laughed with excitement, picturing the exact way he'd tear Kakarot's family to pieces right in front of him.

"It seems we've found ourselves in another great predicament, haven't we, darling?" Makima smiled as she took off her jacket.

"Yeah, one we can't ignore." Goku responded, seriously. Makima placed her hand on his head, closing her eyes.

"Let me catch up on the situation, darling." With a nod of his head, he gave her permission to look through his head. Makima quickly absorbed the events that all led up to this moment, growing exasperated as she listened to Paragus' insane revenge plan against a dead man, and slightly entertained by Vegeta's fear of Broly. But the most important detail for her came straight from Broly's mouth.

Kakarot, how much do you love your son?

No matter what happens, she'll ensure this creature dies today.

"Mrs. Makima!" Trunks and Piccolo touched down on the rooftop with them. "I'm sorry that things got this far but-"

"Don't apologize, it's not your fault. All we need to do is kill that thing." Makima points at Broly.

Piccolo tossed off his weighted clothing. "If we're all done talking, then it's time to finish this! We don't have a lot of time!" The Saiyans transformed into Super Saiyans, while Makima and Piccolo powered up to their full-strength. Three Saiyans, a Devil, and a Namekian surrounded the evil Super Saiyan, who cackled like the crazed bastard he was.

"If you had just let me kill you all before you wouldn't be dealing with this pain! You're all complete and utter wastes of Saiyan blood!" Broly declared.

"We're all still far better than you, monster!" Trunks fired back.

"Monster? No! I'm the devil himself!" Broly shouts, proudly.

"Unfortunately for you, the devil's a woman!" Makima claps her hands, tightening the space around Broly to trap him. Goku and Piccolo lunge forward to unleash a fierce combined combo on the legend, however, Broly easily breaks free from his imprisonment to smash his arms against their chests. He leaps towards Makima and forces the woman to raise a barrier to block his savage strike, but it shatters under his weight and sends her into the ground.

Gohan and Trunks fire off a dual Masenko that does nothing to Broly. He whips around and fires a KI blast to scatter them both. Broly appears above Gohan and knocks him through the building below with a downward smash. Trunks kicks at him only to get his leg grabbed by Broly, the Saiyan descends with a screaming hybrid and smashes him into the ground.

Piccolo returns to the battle with a knee strike to the back of Broly's head. He continues with a few more blows before getting knocked away by Broly swinging Trunks into him. Broly releases the hybrid, then knocks Trunks back into the floor. Before he could continue beating down on the son of Vegeta, the ground between them is ripped apart by an invisible force.

Broly grins savagely when he sees the married couple converge on top of him together. Makima fires out supercharged rounds of invisible bullets while Goku unleashes a scattershot KI volley. Broly charges through their onslaught with a right hook that sends Goku flying through the city. He uses his other hand to grab Makima by her face, dragging her along one of the buildings.

Suddenly, a KI blast connects with his face and brings his attention to the oncoming Devil hybrid. Seeing the son of his most hated foe brought him immense joy. Broly throws the mother at her son, then follows it up with a charge KI blast. Makima quickly raised a reinforced barrier to protect them, but the force was still strong enough to send them crashing.

"Burning Attack!"

Broly dodges the flame-like KI blast to ascend towards Trunks, crashing into him with a brutal headbutt. Broly backflips with a kick that knocks Trunks back down into the city. Without even looking, the legend backhands Piccolo then swings his elbow into his sternum. Piccolo falls forward, gasping for air before getting swatted away like a fly.

"HYAAAAH!" Goku rushes into the battle, his aura flaring up brightly. He crashes against the Legendary Super Saiyan, the two exchanging a fierce repetition of blows. Goku breaks away, swerving around to find an opening. Broly counters his attempt, folding the Earthly Saiyan like laundry over his larger arm. He chases after Goku's rag dolling body to land a devastating kick that dragged Goku through most of the city.

Chains wrapped around his forearm, but a simple flex of his muscles tore them to pieces. Multiple copies of Makima surrounded him, clapping their hands to crush the Saiyan into a red paste. A sadistic laugh came from him as he felt his body constrict under the weight of her force. "Good, but not good enough!" Broly shouts, his energy pushed against her space manipulation like a bright green shield. "HAAAAAAAH!" All of Makima's clones were annihilated from the sheer force of his aura.

"T-this isn't good…!" Makima grunts when Broly's hand grabs her shirt. He punches her straight in the nose, tearing the fabric, and knocking her down towards her husband.

Broly continued to enjoy the carnage as Gohan, Piccolo, and Trunks jumped back into the battle.

Fami and the others had taken the Capsule Corp ship to leave the planet. She didn't feel bad since the others would prefer for them to be out of the way of the fight. Her eyes stared at the approaching Comet Camori. She wondered if comets tasted delicious. She'll have to test that out in the future.

Makima pulled herself out of the rubble of a collapsed skyscraper, brushing the blood and dirt off of her black sports bra. She listened to the silence, baffled by how someone of Broly's size and demeanor could actually go quiet. Her eyes scanned for his presence until she felt the air behind her ripple like water. Broly's massive hand emerged from the ground, his bulky frame tore through the stone and gravel as if it were paper. He held the Son matriarch in his palm, squeezing her skull slowly.

"Kakarot's mate! I wonder how much pain it'll bring him when I display your broken corpse!" Broly laughed. Makima tried to break free by blasting his torso with invisible bullets, but they did nothing to him. "Pathetic!" Broly increased his grip to crush her skull.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Gohan's foot smashed into Broly's face, actually managing to knock the Saiyan away. His mother fell to her knees, shocked by his sudden display of power. Gohan's eyes were glowing bright red, his Super Saiyan aura flashing with a tiny mix of crimson. "I won't let you get away with this!"

Broly stood up, wiping the small trickle of blood from his lips. A sadistic grin etched across his face as he stared at the hybrid child. "Looks like Kakarot's son has more bark than both of his parents combined! Try to make this interesting for me, boy! HA HA HA HA HA!" Broly lunged forward, tackling Gohan further into the city.

"Gohan!" Makima quickly gave chase to assist her son. It wasn't just her, since Goku had recovered and had seen Broly throw his son like a ragdoll.

Vegeta watched the battle, frozen stiff in his own fear. "H-how can they continue to fight?! It's no use, he's the Legendary Super Saiyan!"

"You have no idea how long I've waited for this, Vegeta, to see you groveling like a helpless child. Whether it's Broly or Comet Camori, your death is more than guaranteed." Paragus continued to taunt. "I only wish that it was your Father here before me instead, but the son will have to suffice."

"My… Father…?" Vegeta muttered.

"Yes! And the son is just as pathetic as he is! When all that pride and arrogance is taken away, you're both nothing more than cowards hiding in fear!" Paragus laughed. He missed the way Vegeta's gloved fists tightened. The prince's eyes returned to the battle, a small flame igniting within his irises.

Gohan's scuffle with Broly was brief, his anger barely made a difference in the face of the brutish legend. He was smashed against a wall, his Super Saiyan form fading away into the rubble. Goku and Makima jumped in the way to protect their son but a foot to the face greeted the mother, and the Control Devil crashed off into the distance.

"Makima!" Goku cried.

"What's wrong, Kakarot?! Too weak to protect your family?!" Broly taunted, slugging the Earthly Saiyan across the face. Goku bounced across the ground before stopping on his hands and knees. He looked over to see Broly slowly walking towards him. Knowing that they didn't have a choice in stopping, Goku climbs back to his feet.

"C'mon! Why don't you give us a handicap?!" Goku asked.

Raising his hand, Broly fired off a round of KI blasts. "Is that another word for coffin?"

Goku blocked the onslaught, his body stinging from the pain. He cups his hands to fire off his signature attack while Broly continues his slow march. "KA! ME! HA! ME! HAAAAA!" A point-blank Kamehameha does absolutely nothing to the Legendary Super Saiyan.

"HA HA HA!" Broly picks him up by his head. "What was that supposed to be, Goku?" He mockingly asked.

"Hehe…" A small chuckle leaves his lips before a glass-shattering punch connects with Goku's body.

Paragus looked up to see that Comet Camori was growing closer. "It seems that our time together is coming to an end. As much as I would love to continue watching your pride shrivel up, I must be making my escape."

"My pride…! Dammit…!" Vegeta punches the ground, surprising Paragus.

"Prince-"

"Sitting here like some small child, compared to my weakling of a Father, and having my pride mocked by those lower than me…!" Vegeta listed off his grievances as he stood back up. His eyes were burning with raw fury.

The vengeful Saiyan stared in horror. "H-how are you…?! You should be shivering in fear!"

"Fear?!" Vegeta's aura explodes, pushing Paragus away. "I don't fear anything! Especially not some mutated freak of a low-class Saiyan! HYAAAAH!" His Super Saiyan form roars to life. "I AM PRINCE VEGETA!" The Prince of all Saiyans shoots into the sky to join the battle with Broly.

Paragus, blown away by Vegeta's rejuvenated spirit, spits at the ground. "No matter! Fight as hard as you want, but there's nothing that can stop Broly! Your deaths are ensured, so all I have to do is escape this doomed world!" He flies off towards the palace to reach his escape pod, which he hopes didn't get destroyed in the chaos.

Trunks stands up from the rubble with exhausted breaths. The battle was going nowhere, and Broly was showing no signs of growing tired. Everything seemed hopeless until he noticed a familiar armored Super Saiyan descending into the city. Trunks' eyes brightened at the sight of his father. "Yeah! Get him, Dad!"

A defeated Piccolo is held in Broly's grasp and is about to be finished off until Broly notices the newest addition to the fight. He drops Piccolo and laughs loudly. "Well, well, another bug for me to squash!"

"I am the ruler of all Saiyans, including you, Broly!" Vegeta declared, proudly. He throws a rushing punch that Broly easily dodges. His other fist is caught by the larger Saiyan. "What?!"

"Then please make me kneel before you!" Broly brutally headbutts Vegeta, knocking him back. He stomps forward while Vegeta desperately fires off a KI volley that once again does nothing. His son attempts to protect him but is easily battered away by Broly.

Growling at the massive enemy, Vegeta engages with powerful strikes to deal damage to the Super Saiyan. Their scuffle takes to the sky with Vegeta clearly losing ground in the fight.

Makima spits out blood, coming to the conclusion that fighting like this wasn't going to get them anywhere. If they were going to win this battle, then they needed something that could gain them the edge in this fight. That's when her eyes noticed another strong energy signal off in the distance. Her eyes narrowed in that direction with her vanishing from the battle to follow it.

Paragus gives a relieved sight at his pod. While abandoning one's son may seem evil, this was a special circumstance. Certainly, Broly wouldn't be so easily killed by Comet Camori, so he'd still have a chance at controlling him once again. And if not? Well, his goal of revenge would be fulfilled, and the risk factor of his son would be gone as well. "Either way, I win regardless of what happens."

"Are you sure about that?"

Paragus whips around to see the bruised and bloodied Makima looming over him. His only good eye stares in fear and concern at her appearance. "H-how are you alive?! Shouldn't you be fighting Broly?!"

"Trying to run away when all of this is all your fault? Pathetic, and you call yourself a Saiyan." Makima scoffs.

Glaring at her insult of his blood, Paragus stands against her. "Do you think it matters at this point?! Broly is unstoppable, Comet Camori is almost upon us, and this entire universe is doomed too!"

BOOM!

Makima clicked her tongue, noting that sound was Vegeta losing his fight against Broly. The only ones left standing were herself and her husband. "I don't have the time to argue with a coward like you. I need a way to kill your monster of a son, and the answer lies in your head." She raises a finger at his temple. Paragus attempts to blast her, but his brief stint of fear was more than enough to quickly shut him down. His weak power meant nothing to her, and he was brought to his knees the silver chain lodged in his forehead. The Control Devil scoured through all of Paragus' memories in a millisecond until she found the specific information she needed.

Comet Camori was getting dangerously close to the 'New' Planet Vegeta. The planet was barely managing to handle the increased pressure being applied to it. On the surface itself, Goku was getting pushed through a brutal beatdown courtesy of Broly. The smackdown was so bad that it felt like he could hear rock music blaring loudly in the background.

"GYAH!" Goku was flung through the air, crashing through multiple rocks before coming to a stop.

"Poor, Kakarot!" Broly marches forward with sadistic thunder. "Too afraid to die!"

Goku climbs to his feet. "I've died before… I gotta say… It ain't as fun as it seems."

"Then allow me to make these final moments enjoyable!" Broly fires off a beam, exploding the ground in front of Goku. His body ragdolls into the air only to get smashed back down by Broly, then the larger Saiyan starts bouncing on Goku's body as if it were a trampoline. Goku's cries of pain were like music to Broly's ears, unfortunately for him, his fun came to an end when something collided with his head.

Broly caught the thing in his hand and looked down to see that it was his father's decapitated head. "What?"

"A little gift from me to you." Makima reveals herself to the legend. "I hope it doesn't bother you."

"Ha! Did you think I cared about this weakling?!" Broly proves this by crushing his father's head, drenching his palm in brains, blood, and bone marrow. "All you did was save me the time of killing him myself!" Broly charges forward to kill the woman, but she vanishes before he could land his blow. "Huh?!"

Makima appeared next to her husband, carrying him away to hide behind a rock. "Darling? Can you hear me?"

"Y-yeah… I can hear you…" Goku coughs, slowly rising to his feet. "This guy… Is really strong."

"He is, isn't he?" She agrees with his sentiment. "I have a way to beat him. But I can't do it alone." As she said that, a chain each sprouted out in front of their fallen allies. "I'm going to need the power from the others in order to finish him off."

"In that case…" Goku stops leaning on her to stand on his own. "I'll buy you some time." Their conversation is brought to an end by Broly smashing through the rock they were hiding behind. He makes a grab for Makima, but Goku blocks the attack. "Hurry, Makima! Everyone!"

"Right!" She jumps back to gain some distance to stay out of the crossfire.

"No matter what you do, you weaklings can't compare to me!" Broly declared. Goku holds him back, managing to let out a smirk.

"You never really know unless we try!" Goku punches against Broly's chest, but the evil Saiyan tanks all of it like nothing. He beats the Earthly Saiyan to a pulp without a bit of hesitation. All Makima could do was watch while she waited for the others to share their power with her.

Piccolo grabbed the chain. "Everyone…! Give your power to Makima!" He could feel his energy being drained by the second.

"Mrs. Makima…" Trunks held the chain to lend his energy.

"Mom… Dad…" Gohan mutters as he shares his energy.

Vegeta, unlike the others, stares at the chain in frustration and despair. He knew giving his energy was the smart thing to do, but he couldn't bring himself to do it.

"GYAAAAAAH!" Goku's screams echo all over the planet as Broly continues to brutalize him. Several savage punches connected with his stomach, burying him through several rock formations and boulders. He spins through the air, correcting himself to avoid a lariat that would have taken his head off. Unluckily, that left him open for a kick to his back that drags him against the rocky ground. Broly picks him up by his leg and smashes him down like a hammer repeatedly.

Her husband's cries forced her hand, knowing that he couldn't take much more punishment. Feeling the energy of the others filling her body, the Control Devil's braid comes undone, her hair flowing upwards with the golden aura surrounding her. Makima thrusts her hands forward, releasing glowing, silver chains that wrap around Broly's body, stabbing into his chest.

"Huh?!" Broly whips around to glare at the woman. "Do you really think something like this will work?!" He attempts to blow the chains away with his power but finds that they weren't as easily destroyed as last time. "What!?"

"Last time I wasn't aiming for your soul! Everyone has something they fear, even the likes of the Legendary Super Saiyan!" Makima crosses her arms, to quicken the chains to reach Broly's soul.

SHACKLE!

One of the chains wrap around his raging soul, causing the Saiyan to scream in pain. The intrusive attack causes a deep memory to flash in front of his eyes. A memory that scarred his heart for as long as he could remember. A dark room, surrounded by a plethora of infants, with one in particular crying loudly without stopping.

"S-STOP…!" Broly coughs out, his energy starts fluctuating widely in defensive response. "STOP…! KAKA…KAKA…!" More chains started wrapping around his soul. The infant's cries were getting louder. "KAKAROOOOOT!"

The sheer gargantuan explosive force almost knocked Makima over, her eyes widened at how much power Broly still had within him. "Just how strong is he?!"

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Broly's power continued to increase, pushing back against the chains that tried to hold him. The planet around them was starting to crumble from the proximity of Comet Camori, reminding Makima of their extremely limited time.

"D-dammit! Just go down!" Makima screamed. If his power kept growing like this, then her chains wouldn't be able to hold out. Suddenly, another burst of energy entered her body, granting her the chance to increase the density of her chains. The Control Devil turned around to see her husband holding her close. "Darling?!"

"C'mon, Makima! We're almost there!" Goku encouraged his wife.

"I know! HYAAAAAAAH!" Husband and wife roared, pushing their power to the limit to keep Broly's power contained. His body was pulsating violently to ward off the intrusive forces that attempted to seal him away. The chains continued trying to shackle his soul, but more and more resistance was destroying them just as quickly as they were appearing.

"T-this should be enough…! Why isn't it enough?!" Makima cried, frustrated. "I need more power!"

"Why…?" Vegeta's voice could be heard. "Why should I give you my power?!"

"Vegeta?!" Goku gasped.

"F-Father…!" Trunks couldn't believe what was happening right now.

The prince crawled to his feet, glaring at them in the distance. "I refuse! There's no way I'll share my energy with you!"

Goku growled fiercely. "VEGETA! MORE POWER! RIGHT NOW!"

"NO! If it were you Kakarot that would be one thing, but to give my power to that infuriating satanic woman burns my blood like no other! I am the Prince of all Saiyans, I refuse to give my power to her!" Vegeta shouted.

Makima hissed between her teeth, struggling to maintain her grip on Broly. "Vegeta, we don't have time for this! You either give me your power right now or I'll take it from you by force, even if it means tearing your soul to pieces!"

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Broly's energy was breaking through his skin to reach freedom. "KAKAROOOOOOT!"

"VEGETA, GIVE HER YOUR POOOOOOOWEEEEEEER!" Goku roared.

"DAMMIT ALL!" Vegeta, growing tired of the pressure, grabs the silver chain. "FINE! BUT SHE BETTER FINISH THIS NOW! TAKE IT!"

Makima's eyes shined a teal color, her hair ignited into a golden light like a dancing flame, and her chains matched it with a new golden illumination. Her aura exploded with a powerful burst thanks to Vegeta's energy completing the transfer. "This is it! All of this power is under my control!"

Responding to Makima's commands, the chains were now powerful enough to fully wrap around Broly's soul, forcing back all of his energy. "All of that power you were so proudly boasting about means nothing in the face of fear!"

"G-G-G-GRAAAAAAAAH!" Broly's body started to shrink back down to its regular size, his pupils returning with the diminishing of his power. "KA-KA-KA-KA!" His most traumatic memory continued to flash through his mind.

Goku's crying, the stab wound that almost killed him, and the giant sun that almost consumed him. His body couldn't take it anymore, it started to fall to pieces as a result of the seal placed around his soul.

Comet Camori had finally arrived, consuming the planet bit by bit.

Broly's hate-filled gaze met the eyes of Makima. The two people he hated the most showed no remorse in his defeat. Makima closed her hands to finish the seal.

"Too bad, Legendary Super Saiyan, the one to defeat you…"

A baby's crying echoed in Broly's ears one final time; in his mind he looked over to Kakarot's incubator to see the baby's eyes weren't black.

"The one to defeat you…"

The baby's eyes were yellow with spirals swirling in the pupils.

"Was a Devil!"

CLAP!

"KAKAROOOOOOOOOT!"

With Broly's final scream, Comet Camori completely devoured 'New' Planet Vegeta, erasing the world from existence.

In the void of space, the Capsule Corp ship floated peacefully until it was suddenly bombarded by more people entering the interior. The ship was already pretty full with the Shamosians on board as well, but the addition of Makima and the others almost made it burst. A last minute save thanks to Instant Transmission was the only reason they survived the planet's destruction.

While everyone else tried to get comfortable, Goku and Makima shared a nice kiss to celebrate their victory.

After returning to Earth and getting into a nice change of clothes, the Son Family returned back home in a flurry of Sakura Petals. Their door burst open from the impact of their dogs rushing to greet their owners. Gohan was knocked over by the plethora of loving creatures tackling him.

"Hehe! I guess they missed us! We weren't even gone that long!" Goku laughs.

"Hm, yes, but I miss you too whenever you're not around, darling." Makima kisses his cheek.

Goku giggles softly at her affection, then thinks about recent events. "I have to admit, Broly was pretty strong. To think there was a Legendary Super Saiyan out there."

"Yes, but someone like him is far too dangerous. He's better dead rather than alive, darling." Makima said.

"True." Goku agrees. That battle was definitely one of their hardest in recent times. And they have another one coming up in a few days, thankfully Cell hadn't moved from his place whatsoever.

Even then, a part of him wondered if Broly really did die at the end there.

Floating through the void of space in the Milky Way galaxy was a tiny green sphere of energy, it was sealed tightly by a woven web of golden chains. However, if one were to listen closely, a vicious growling could be heard coming from the green sphere.

Movie End

NOTE: Yeah, I skipped through chunks of the film. I really didn't feel like writing those parts out and I don't really like this movie all that much. When people say they like this movie, they're mainly talking about the last 20 minutes where Broly is just beating the shit out of everyone with heavy rock music blasting in the background as he spits out a bunch of one-liners (But this only stands if you've only ever seen the English dub).

I felt like Makima deserved to beat him here, because of that 'I'm the devil!' line that Broly has. Yes, that's Broly's soul at the end. His body was destroyed while his soul was sealed away, so it didn't transfer into the Afterlife. What does this mean? You'll have to wait till I get to Second Coming.

No War Devil, because I did not feel like including her. If it makes you feel better, she'll be in the next one.

Next Movie - The Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans
