Sam stared up at the stars as Lucifer pointed out his favorite creations. It was so surreal looking up at the night sky with one of its original creators.

"What was your favorite creation?" Sam asked.

"Earth, because that's where you were formed," Lucifer said and then kissed Sam.

"What's your second favorite then," Sam whispered against Lucifer's lips.

"Right up there in the center of Andromeda is a massive black hole, its gravity so strong that nothing can escape once it falls into it. I was thinking of you…trying to imagine what our bond would be like when the black hole was created. Scientists named it M31. I named it Samifer," Lucifer explained.

"Samifer, as in us together?" Sam asked.

"Some view black holes to be the epitome of destruction, but it's the massive black hole that regulates creation. Millions and millions of stars have sparked into creation because of it. You and I won't be any different. Yes, we will indeed leave a path of destruction in our wake, but we will also create brilliance that won't be numbered. There's nothing that you and I won't be able to do," Lucifer explained.

"Have you ever been inside a black hole?" Sam asked.

"No…nothing would survive not even an Archangel."

"Will we survive as individuals?" Sam asked.

"You were designed for me, just like I was designed for you, so we should be able to survive the merger. I'm certain that you're the only one strong enough to contain my power," Lucifer stated.

Sam leaned against Lucifer as they looked up at the sky.

"I'm sorry, I run a little on the cold side," Lucifer said as Sam shivered.

"I wouldn't take you any other way," Sam said.

Lucifer smiled at Sam, the realization that his human was the only one in all of creation to love and accept him as he was.

XOXOXO

"There's only one way that you can stop this. Take control Sammy, jump in the cage," Lucifer shouted. The voice sounded so close, but yet so far away. He felt as if he was wrapped in contentment and peace, but there was something wrong. He knew that if he succumbed to the peace he would never find his way out of the black hole. He looked down at his hands and they were bruised and bleeding, but he raised them over and over again. He was beating Dean…why was he beating Dean? Confusion was like a slap in the face as he awoke with a start.

"It's okay Sammy, you're okay, it's over now," Lucifer whispered as he brushed the hair out of Sam's eyes.

"Dean…"

"Your brother is fine Sam. He's waiting for you to return," Lucifer reassured him.

Sam relaxed his breathing as he listened to Lucifer's heart, or rather Nick's heart. Was Nick drowning in that same sea of contentment? Was being one with Lucifer a black hole he may never escape from? Sam shuddered at the thought. He couldn't think about it. He would say yes, it was inevitable. Was it a nightmare? It didn't feel like a nightmare…It felt like a premonition of things to come.

"Sam…" Lucifer started but then the conversation trailed off into silence.

Sam drew heart-shaped figures on Lucifer's chest. The last 23 hours had been amazing. Star gazing, and then making love on the blanket underneath the stars. Lucifer had ensured that they had their privacy. It was perfect. Sam had never felt so connected with anyone and then he fell asleep and now he was scared that he would lose himself to his love.

"Talk to me Sam…" Lucifer whispered after the silence between them had become unbearable.

"What was that?" Sam whispered as he looked up into his Angel's eyes.

"That was our future on the day of the apocalypse," Lucifer explained.

"We were beating Dean and then I woke up. Do we kill him?" Sam asked.

"I don't know. Our story's still being written and my dad is keeping his drafts close to his chest, but you've always been able to see your way into his stories. I think that's what the premonition was. I know you're scared and I don't blame you, but I will use all my power to keep your brother safe from us. I know how important he is to you," Lucifer stated.

"Thank you, Luci."

"If you have any more premonitions please tell me. I can't see into his stories the way that you can."

"You're scared," Sam whispered.

"I just don't want to be the cause of your pain."

"Then don't. We'll write our ending. You and I will be strong enough to choose our path. There's nothing that we can't do," Sam reminded Lucifer and then pulled him into a kiss.
