Naruto was walking through the district, picking up groceries, annoyed with his Sensei blowing him off.
I was saying that Sasuke needed more help than Naruto did.
Sasuke has the Sharingan, and Naruto knows full well what Gaara is.
Even when he told Kakashi that the man had just blown him off.
So, Naruto had someone who did not bother to teach him anything other than to use the Kyūbi.
So he just thought about giving up.
He wanted to win with his power, not some borrowed power like the fox.
"Hello, Naruto," A voice that Naruto knew well called out behind him, and he turned to see the Hokage walk up to him.
"Hi, Jiji," Naruto said as the man smiled at Naruto.
"So, how is your training for the finals," He asked Naruto.
"I have not done any as Kakashi has blown me off, and the person who agreed to help train me wants me to use the fox, so I've decided to give up," Naruto said as the man looked sad.
"Or you could keep fighting," Someone said behind the both of them, and they both turned around to find an elderly man of average height with fair skin and a bald head, deep wrinkles, a hooked nose, and pronounced cheekbones.
His eyes were red, and his eyebrows were long. He had a long, hip-length white beard secured by a purple band that ran down it. Two long scars crossed above his right eye on his head.
His clothes were a white shitagi under a black kosode and black hakama pants, white hakama-himo, white tabi and waraji covering his feet.
A white haori draped over his back, and in his hand was a large wooden staff that looked like it could be used like a spear.
Naruto and the Hokage felt on edge as they thought they would have known someone was there.
"Who are you," The Hokage asked the man as he looked over to the leader of Konoha.
"Well, Hiruzen Sarutobi, my daughter-in-law, told me that my grandson, who did not have anyone to train him, needs help, so here I am," the elderly man said as he walked over.
"And who is your daughter-in-law," Hiruzen asked as he kept his eye on the man.
As he looked at the man, he knew that this man was strong, as he had known this type of power before, and it was with both his Sensei.
"I believe the young man behind you would know the name of his mother, Artemis or Diana, goddess of the moon," he told the Hokage as both men saw Naruo freeze on the spot. "And to think that my son got himself a virgin goddess," he said, but Naruto shook his head.
"Mom was put in a mortal body as a punishment for something she did to her father," Naruto said as the man stopped before shaking his head.
Hiruzen looked at Naruto, wondering what he was saying, but knew he would only lie about a prank or something else.
But when it came to his family, Naruto would never lie.
"Did I not teach that boy how to pick up a girl?" he sighed before looking at Naruto. "But yes, I am here to train you if you wish," he said as he was only a few steps from them.
"You have yet to introduce yourself," Hiruzen said as he looked at the man, who nodded.
"That is true," he told the Hokage with a nod. "Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto," Yamamoto said as Naruto's eyes shot wide.
"I don't think we should be having this conversation out in the open," Naruto said.
Hiruzen saw that Naruto knew something, so they nodded and headed to Naruto's apartment.
"So you have heard of me," Yamamoto asked as they moved to the building.
"Mom visits my dreams, and she tells me stories about her life as a ninja of Konoha and even stories of her and dad," Naruto said as the three claimed the stairs to his apartment.
"So you know who your father is," Hiruzen said as Naruto nodded.
"Yea, and I know why you didn't tell me, with dad enemies," Naruto said as Hiruzen said.
As they reached it and got in, the men sat at the small table while Naruto took the chair off in the corner. "So, Naruto, who is this man?" Hiruzen asked the blond. And when were you going to tell me that your mother was a goddess?" he asked him.
"Well, for the second, the gods had decreed that no mortal shall know that demi-gods still walk the earth in case they are forced into building a harem and have children," Naruto said as Hiruzen looked confused, so Yamamoto explained.
"If a child of a lighting god had a child, that child would have a strong Lighting Release but is said god and could also summon a lighting hound," he said as Hiruzen nodded, getting the pitcher.
"So, in my case, if people found out that I was the son of a goddess then, I would not have a chance to rest," Naruto said as Hiruzen nodded.
"If you don't mind me asking," He asked.
"Under the moonlight, I am twice as strong, twice as fast, and heal faster than I already do; then there is I am on par if not better than an Inuzuka at hunting, I am a born expert with a bow and arrow or really any hunting weapon, " Nartuo said stating fact as Hiruzen took in this information as he planned future missions for Naruto, "I have all element releases thanks to her being the goddess of the wild, thanks to Mom being a virgin goddess I can tell if someone still has there virginity, I can understand all animals and they automatically love me thanks to Mom, I can summon two of animals, one male one female when I kill the original, I am a born midwife as Mom help her Mom give birth to her twin brother and my uncle Apollo, I can turn into animals, and when I need to I can change some into the other gender," Naruto said as Hiruzen looked amazed as did Yamamoto.
"And it's the reason why I made the Oiroke no Jutsu, as I really turned into a woman. And so once a month and when I disappear from the village around my birthday, I join my mother and her hunt," Naruo said as Hiruzen nodded but looked confused. "Mom hates men, or to be more accurate, the big majority of them, so her hunt is full of girls that have been granted immortality by swearing off men," Naruto said as Hiruzen nodded.
"Thank you for this, now the first question I asked you," He asked the blond.
"Mom came to me last night asking me how the exams were going, and when I told her what was happening, she was not happy, so she told me about my grandfather, who was a Shinigami but not the Shinigami whom the Uzumaki worship," Naruto said as Yamamoto nodded.
"A Shinigami but not the Shinigami," Hiruzen asked.
"There is the Lady of Death, Lady Shinigami, who is the wife of the Soul King, and then there are the forces that both of them use to look after the afterlife, the foot soldiers, Shinigami or, otherwise known as Soul Reapers," Yamamoto told Hiruzen, who nodded. "And Artemis is right, as I am one of these Shinigami," he said as Hiruzen turned to him.
"But I am no ordinary Shinigami, but I am the leader of them, to be exact, and I trained my son in the art of being a Shinigami, and he even gained his Zanpakutō, Hiraishin, which he used during your third great war," He told both of them as Hizruzen's eyes shot wide.
"Is that why we could never truly recreate his Kunai," He asked the older man.
"Yes, Hiraishin was a speed-type Zanpakutō that granted him the ability to teleport to a place where a marker was placed, and he created his markers on his Kunai," Yamamoto told them as they looked shocked. "So I would like to offer Naruto that training in gaining a Zanpakutō," Yamamoto said as he looked at Hiruzen.
The Hokage narrowed his eyes at the older man before gaining a thought, "If I say yes, how long will he be away from this village," He asked the man.
"For this world, two weeks, for where he going to train for two years," Yamamoto said as Hiruzen nodded as he looked at Naruto.
"What will he be learning," He asked.
"Kenjutsu, Zanjutsu, Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Hohō, Kidō, Hakuda, how to use his Reiryoku and Reiatsu, Genjutsu and anything else that is needed for his life as a ninja of Konoha," Yamamoto told Hiruzen who nodded.
"I see," The Holkage said before looking, "Cat," He called out a female Anbu, who appeared next to him.
The Anbu was a young woman with straight, purple hair reaching down to her waist, and on her face, she wore a porcelain mask resembling a cat with three red stripes — one vertical stripe on the forehead and two horizontal stripes, one on each cheek.
She was also dressed in the standard Anbu uniform, which consisted of black and grey armour, metal arm guards, a katana strapped to her back, and the signature Anbu tattoo on her right shoulder.
"Can you go into my office and get the two scrolls that are in my bottom left desk drawn for me before going to the Jutsu Library and get nine of each element release along with three of each type of Jutsu," He told her as she looked at him.
"Yes, Hokage-sama," She said before disappearing.
Hiruzen looked at Naruto before turning to Yamamoto. "I have a feeling that you are not going to train here. Am I right?" Hiruzen asked as the older man nodded.
"That is correct, as we will be training in the Soul Society and within the Seireitei," Yamamoto told him as Hiruzen nodded.
"Would it be alright if I send another of my ninja there so that they could teach Naruto how to use the chakra that his Sensei had failed to teach him," Hizruzen said as Yamamoto nodded.
"Who were you thinking in teaching him this as it seems that most of your ninja do not care if he lives or dies," Yamamoto asked the leader of Konoha.
Hiruzen looked down at the floor before looking up, "I know that, but I think I know the exact ninja to train him in the needed fields, and she is one of the best of the best," Hiruzen said as Naruto's eyes shot wide.
"You're going to have an Anbu train me," Naruto asked him as Hiruzen nodded.
"Yes, and with you telling me how your mother's hatred of men, I had to narrow it down to the female ninja under my command and with you being failed by both the student of my predecessor, your own father and my own student, your godfather," Hiruzen said shocking Naruto and Yamamoto, "And with this person being an Anbu and your mother's former student, when she was in a mortal body as you told me she was, will follow my orders and make you like a true Uzumaki," Hiruzen told Naruto.
The blond nodded before looking at his leader, "So, that guy with the toads," Naruto asked weakly.
"Yes, and he went against orders," Hiruzen said as Yamamoto raised a brow, and Naruto looked confused. "When you reached at least Chūnin in rank, that was when we were going to train you in using the Kyūbi's power," Hiruzen said as Naruto nodded.
"That makes sense, as with me being Chūnin, I would have better access to the Jutsu Library," Naruto said as Hiruzen nodded.
"Yes, but not only that, you would have had my full attention with dealing with helping you train with the fox's power along with the heads of the Yamanaka and Nara clans," The Hokage said as Naruto nodded, "And when us trained you in using it's chakra it would be for a last resort," Hiruzen said.
The three fell silent before turning to Naruto, "Can you show me some of your-" Hiruzen started asking before Naruto cut in.
"Demi-god abilities," He asked.
"Yes," Hiruzen said as he watched Naruto as brown feathers started to grow out of Naruto's face, and he began to shrink in his seat.
Both men watched in amazement as his arms turned into wings, his clothes were soon hidden by feathers, and his feet turned into talons.
Before long, Naruto was a falcon looking at both of them. "Can you understand me?" Hiruzen asked before feeling sheepish, but Naruto nodded nonetheless. "Can you still use chakra in this form?" Hiruzen asked as Naruto did what would be seen as a shrug.
"I see," Hiruzen said as he held out his arm, and Naruto jumped onto it. "Do you know how to fly?" he asked Naruto, who nodded.
After a few minutes of Hiruzen and Yamamoto looking over Naruto's falcon form, Cat returned and looked around, "Hokage-sama, where is Uzumaki-san," She asked him.
"Cat, as one of my personal Anbu, you know what we talked about before I sent you off to get the scrolls, yes," Hiruzen said as Cat nodded at him, "Then you know that Naruto has said that he could turn into animals," Hiruzen said as he held up his arm that Naruto was resting on.
She looked at Naruto, who looked back at her, "Uzumaki-san," She asked Naruto, who nodded before he hopped down and turned back to his standard form.
Everyone saw and thought it was weird watching the transformation in reverse.
"Anyway, Cat, do you have the scrolls," Hiruzen asked her as she nodded.
Cat pulled out three scrolls, "The two scrolls that you asked me to get along with all the scrolls that I was told to get from the Jutsu Library," She told him.
"Well done, and I'm putting you on a mission," Hiruzen said as Cat stood straight, "I am going to send you along with Naruto to teach him everything that you know and everything that is within these scrolls," Hiruzen told her as she nodded.
"I accept, but can I ask why I am going on this mission and not any other member of the Anbu," Cat asked him.
"With what Naruto has said about his mother hating men, I decided to take the male members out of the equation, and the two that I thought would teach him best would be you or Snake," Hiruzen said as Cat nodded, "And for this mission, you will be going as the person behind the mask," Hiruzen said as Cat nodded and took off her mask and showed her face.
She had brown eyes and red lipstick on.
"Yūgao, I shall see you in two weeks," Hiruzen said as Yamamoto stood up.
"Then it is time to go," He said, holding up his staff as the wood disintegrated.
Under the staff was a katana with a dark purple handle, a circular bronze handguard, and a brown sheath.
"This is my Zanpakutō, Ryūjin Jakka, but that is not why I called it out," Yamamoto said as he drew his sword and held it up.
The blade of Ryūjin Jakka started to glow red before he thrust it forward; the blade disappeared into the air as it rippled around the handguard of the sword, "Unlock," He called out as he turned the sword like one would a key.
A pair of Shōji doors appeared in front of him before they opened, showing a circular door with another pair of Shōji doors.
The circular Shōji doors opened as three butterflies flew through.
The butterflies were completely black with some purple over the wings, "Shall we go," Yamamoto said.
Naruto and Yūgao walked next to him, and the three of them, along with the butterflies, went through the doors and closed behind them, leaving Hiruzen alone in Naruto's apartment.
"Tiger," Hiruzen called out as a male Anbu appeared beside him.
"Yes, Hokage-sama," Tiger asked him.
"Get me both Kakashi and Jiraiya," he told the Anbut as he walked back to his office. "And if needs be, drag them there, as I am not too pleased with the two of them," he said as Tiger nodded.
Soul Society, Seireitei
The Seireitei was a circular Shiro with four main entrances that were ten days' walk apart.
The walls of the Seireitei were white and made from Seireiheki, a rare type of stone known to negate all Reiryoku, similar to magnetic lodestones.
The stone also forms a spherical barrier around the city known as the Shakonmaku, extending above and below, stopping anything spiritual from breaching it from ground level, sky, or underground.
The Seireitei was filled with buildings of many shapes and sizes.
The large red gates within the Seireitei opened as Yamamoto, Naruto, and Yūgao walked through, and the butterflies flew off. "Follow me, Naruto, and we'll get you an Asauchi as we awaken your Reiryoku," he told his grandson, who nodded as they walked.
"So this is the world of the dead," Yūgao said as Naruto looked at her.
"This is one of them, as there are Hades as well," Naruto said as Yamamoto nodded.
"Indeed, and so we send out our Soul Reapers to guide lost souls and deal with Hollows while the other worlds have other means of guiding souls," Yamamoto told them.
"Hollows," Naruto asked him.
"A soul that has lost its way and has been driven mad and needs to fill its heart with something trying to become whole once more," Yamamoto said. Both of them nodded as they walked over to the academy, with Yamamoto giving them information about the place until they reached the academy.
"I had my second in command get an Asauchi prepared for you," Yamamoto said as they walked in.
As they walked down the hallway, Naruto saw countless pitchers of countless people. "How many people went here?" he asked his grandfather.
"I built this school many years ago before I met your grandmother," Yamamoto told his grandson as they walked.
They soon reached a room at the end of the hall until they reached the room and when the door opened, they found a room with a porcelain white statue with just eyes.
"Now then, let's start teaching you how to be a Soul Reaper," Yamamoto told Naruto.
