Turtle limped through the forest carrying Aucklet on his back. Snow was everywhere and he stumbled wirh each step. He could fell her blood on his back. How had things gotten so bad? Hoe could his family be dead! And how could his little sister be bleeding out and dying. This was the worst nightmare ever and he wished he could wake up

24 Hours earlier
Turtle loaded charcoal into his basket. This was the only way to get money for his family, recently the trips had gotten harder since Tsunami ran away from home after getting into an argument with their mother about Tsunami having to marry Whirlpool- an older seawing in the village-who Tsunami absolutely hated. At the thought of Tsunami Turtle glanced at his charcoal stained talons and at his greenish blue scales also stained. He brushed she scar on the side of his head remembering how Tsunami had made him fell beter about it. Tsunami was the one their other siblings needed but since Tsunami had ran away Turtle had tried his best to fill the role she had left.
Turtle lifted the basket onto his back trying to now ruffle or smug hischeckered, black-and-biscay-green Haori - Turtle knew if he ruined it his mother would kill him- once he had the basket on his back he rubbed his hanafuda earrings - one of the few things his father had left him before he died - they always brought him comfort when he needed it because it made him fell like his father was still here. "Turtle" as soon as he heard his mother's voice he turned around to see his mother who said "You don't have to do this" turtle shook his head and said "But I want us to have the best New Years celebration. They need it." Coral sighed and gave a small smile saying "Your just like your father. He'd be proud of you." Turtle looked down and asked "Do you think tsunami is ok" Coral gave a brief nod saying "Mabey, if she is she's going to get an earful when-if she gets back."
Turtle nooded and turned to leave. When he heard the door open and heard Anemone and Octups and turned to see the two run out of the house as Anemone said "Your heading into the village can I go with please." Coral shook her head and said "Turtle can't take the cart down and he can't carry you when you get to tired when heading down" Anenome pouted ans said "but I'll be supper helpful. I helped Octopus clean out the fireplace." Octopus scowled and said "No you didn't fish brain! I did all the work while you just sat around telling me what to do." He pushed Anenomey and she pushed him back saying "Don't call me fish brain seaweed breath" the two were about to start restling but Coral got between the, saying "If you two fight you both won't get to celibate the new year when your brother gets home." The two siblings looked at each other and started apologizing to eachother. As Turtle turned to leave he saw his brother Fin who was carrying an axe. "Hey Fin can you chop up some wood while I'm gone?" Asked Tuetle fin let out an annoyed groan and said "I was going to do that anyways. I was hopeing you'd help this time" Turtle patted his brother's head and said "Don't worry Fin I'll help as soon as I'm back." Fin swatted his brothers talons away and his face blushed wirh annoyed embarrassment. Octopus and Anemone let out snickers Fin turend twords his siblings and yells "Hey cut it off!" Octups while laughing said "He's blushing". Fin let out an annoyed yell saying "SHUT UP!"
Turtle walked away firm his home waving goodbye to his family. As he was walking turtle saw the green scales of his sister Auklet (they were the only ones with green scales among the blues of the rest of their family ) he could see the pink kimono with an asanoha pattern. Their younger brother Cerulean was asleep and nestled between her wings. "Hey Turtle. Had to put Cerulean down for a nap he's been glued to yiur side... since dad and... Tsunami leaving" Aucklet said looking to the side to try and hide the sadness in her eyes. Turtle nodded and said "I'll ba back don't worry" and started making his way down the mountian

As turtle walked into the village he saw a woman who turend ti him and said "Oh turtle yiu came down the mountian in this weather how are you felling"
"I'm felling fine I brought charcoal" said turtle
"I'm fine." Said a SkyWing
"I could use some." Said an icewing
A door open and a seawing sumboed out saying "Turtle I need your help I've been blamed for this. Use your nose and tell them it wasn't me" turtle sniff it and said "it was a cat." The SeaWing turned and yelled "SEE I TOLD YOU IT WAS THE CAT IM INNOCENT!"

Turtle had managed to sell all of his charcoal and was walking up the mounitan. As he was walking up he passed Nautilus' home the seawing poked his head out of his window and said "Turtle it's to dangerous ti travel at night."
"I'll be fine I've got a good nose."
"I, talking about demons they roam the night and will kill you it be safer if yiu stayed the night here and left on the morning."
Turtle wanted to argue but knew he could not win. Besides it would probably be better if he stayed the night and left at morning.
After eating Turtle and Nautilus talked. Turtle had asked if the demons would get into dragons homes and Nautilus said they could and the only thing protecting Dragons were the Demon slayers.

In the morning turtle set off.'Nautilus must get lonely living up here alone I should bring my siblings to visit him- blood'
Turtle could smell blood and it was fresh. Turtle ran towards his home that's when he saw it the blood. He saw Auklet she was coverd in blood her body coveringCerulean. Turtle ran over to the two Aucklet was the only one that was still warm. Then he looked inside his families home and he saw blood everywhere, claw marks on the walls and the bodies. It was too much the smell was worse. Turtle looked away. He ran over and picked up Aucklet and the hatchet then he started running towards the village she was the only one that was still warm and he had to move fast in-order to save her, he needed to get to the village fast!
As he ran turtle could fell Aucklet twitch and let out moaning groans. He needed to move fast! Just then the ground broke and the two tumbled down the side of the mountian road landing in snow. Turtle got up and saw Aucklet twitching and growling her eyes seemed to be staring into nothing. He took a step twoards her and she turned growling and leaped at Turtle

Tsunami walked out of the threes and saw her childhood home. She was not looking forward to this but the demon she had been tracking had been hiding this way so she had to see her family. Tsunami already knew she and Coral were going to get into an argument tsunami could hear her mom's voice now " Tsunami dear what do yiy have a sword. Dear god your filthy are those scars. What did you do to your Haoriwhy is it split down the middle into two different halves did you sew the left one on." Tsunami said in a mock voice of her mother. Tsunami pulled her Haori tighter. Her Haoriwas split down the middle into two different halves: the right one in a carmine color, and the left one in a geometrically patterned rhombi prints, in green, dark green, orange, and yellow. As she took a steep forward she saw it the blood. A young dragon lay in the ground and he was cold. She stood up and looked into the house and saw the bodies and blood. Tsunami ran in and turend coral over. Coral was staring sightlessly her throat was cut open. Tsunami took a step back shoked thst her mother her entire family was dead! Tsunami ran out and saw some talon prints! They seemed to be waited down by something along with the talon prints were drips of blood. Some idot had taken the demon and she would hunt it down and avenge her family!

Aucklet tackled turtle to the ground. Turtle was barely able to get the handle of the hatchet into her mouth. Auklet claws at turtle trying to bite him!'This is what anold man Natlus was trying to tell me she's a man eating demon but Auklet has allways been a seawing since the day she hatched! She didn't kill the rest of our family she was trying to protect Cerulean and her talons and mouth weren't coverd in blood! There was another sent I didn't know!' Auklet started to grow and push down on turtle clawing at his throat
" While I was sleeping yiu all were dying! I'm sorry so sorry please stay strong! Please!" Said turtle.
Just then she stoped pushing down and Turtle could see her crying. That's when he noticed a nother figure blade raised and turtle barely moved Aucklet out of the way as the sword came down and slashed off part of his horn! The two rolled away as there was a blast of snow. Tuetle slamed into a tree he looked around and couldn't see Auklet! Then he saw the blue scaled seawing holding a hissing and growling Aucklet. The Seawing held a black bladed sword and put it to Aucklet throat. Turtle took a step foreard saying "Please let her go she's all I got she's my little sister!" The seawing shook her head saying "No she isn't not any more she got infected by demons blood so o have to kill her. I saw what she did to that family!"
"SHE DIDNT KILL PUR FAMILY AUKLET WOUOD NEVER HURT ANOTHER DRAGON PLEASE YIU HAVE TO BELIVE ME!"
"She's a demon now kid o have to kill it!"
Turtle grabed the hatched and a rock and the threw the rock with all is might.

Tsunami sliced the rock in half. She looked and saw the green scales seawing run behind a tree and threw another rock which tsunami deflected. Then he charged out one arm pulled back coverd by a wing. He went in for a swing and with out breaking a sweat trauma I brought the but of her sword down on his head knocking him out. That's when she realized the hatchet was gone she looked up and saw the hatchet barely moving her head in time to avoid being hit! "He threw the rock to destruct me then the hatchet he ran out of the tree as a nother destruction so I wouldn't notice the hatchet!" That's when she noticed the scar on his head. It was so fimiliar she had seen it before-Turtle! She had attacked her brother and- the demon got free and knocked tsunami back! It leaped at Turtle. Tsunami wouldn't be fast enough she couldn't get there in time! The demon Wouod rip out his throat and the last of her family would be dead! Orca had died saving her! This demon would now kill the last of her family! Then she saw something she didn't expect. The demon stood infornt of Turtle defensively. 'Auklet would never hurt another dragon!' Tsunami reregistered Turtle's words and looked at the demon- no Auklet. Tsunami laid her sword down and walked over puting a talon on auklet's head saying "you've grown sister" She then punched Auklet in the gut knocking her out. Tsunami careful laid her sister down next to turtle and broke down into tears.

'Protect your sister' his mother's voice echoed in his head as he opened his eyes and saw Aucklet unconscious a bamboo muzzle in her mouth. Turtle extended a hand to his unconscious sister. He looked up and saw the Seawing her back turend to him as she said "Keep her out of sunlight. Get to mount Segeri find an old man named Webs... tell him tsunami sent you. I hope you can save out sister... Turtle." Turtle's eyes widened as he looked at tsunami he extended a hand stabing " Tsunami wai-" before he could finish a word she was gone. Turtle picked up Auklet and walked back to their former home.
Several hours later they buried their family and gave a prayer for their souls. Turtle looked at his sister and said "Alright Auklet let's go to the Segeri mountains we can find help there."
The two stood and walked away form their home.
