When Donna and Hippolyta arrived at the hotel, things were a bit awkward between the former Amazon Queen and the current one.
However, things were perfectly pleasant between Diana and her little sister, who she eagerly hugged.
"I'm so glad you could be here. I assume that Karen's en route as we speak." Diana asked, since she was aware of her sister's new relationship and she completely supported it.
"Actually, I came here with them." Karen said as she popped up from behind Donna.
"I hope you're not sharing a room with them." Diana said, since for one thing, she wasn't sure her mother was comfortable with the idea of sharing a room with two teenagers who were dating, especially since it was likely they'd wind up sharing a bed.
"No, Kara got me my own room, since while she originally wanted me to stay in the penthouse with her and Lena, I refused." Karen said.
"Is it for the reason I think it is?" Diana asked.
"You mean the fact that hotel walls are notoriously thin, I have super hearing and Kara and Lena are sharing a room and a bed?" Karen asked.
"I don't blame you. Though I hope that Donna isn't going to try to take advantage of that." Diana said to her sister.
"Are you kidding, one of the reasons Megan's coming is to room with Karen for that specific purpose." Donna said, since M'gann was attending as J'onn's plus one.
"Good. Nice to know that none of the teenagers attending will be alone. Though I'd be more concerned if Connor was attending this wedding too." Diana said, since Clark's clone/brother/sidekick was back in Metropolis, since a majority of Young Justice had not been invited simply because neither she or Steve knew most of them.
"So you see it too then?" Karen asked.
"Everyone sees it except the two of them." Diana said, right as Hippolyta coughed, to finally make her daughter acknowledge her presence.
"Why don't we head upstairs. I need to let Kara know that I got here safely. Donna, why don't you come with me so we don't have to witness this awkward reunion." Karen said.
"Gladly." Donna said as the two of them headed for the elevator.
"Diana." Hippolyta said.
"Mother. I'm glad you could attend my wedding. I wasn't sure you would." Diana admitted.
"I told you I wanted to be here for you and more importantly, Donna's spent too much time around human teenagers for me to trust her to be around Karen without supervision, since I don't trust her anymore than you do." Hippolyta said and Diana chuckled as she felt some of the tension between them fade.
"How have you been adjusting to life in man's world?" Diana asked.
"It's been an adjustment, but I've begun to see what you do in the world of man. Though I still don't fully understand the concept of love." Hippolyta said.
"I'm still convinced that's because Aphrodite cursed you because of how dismissive you've been towards love all your life." Diana said.
"No, because I wouldn't see any problems with that." Hippolyta said and Diana couldn't argue with that.
"Anyways, given by your attire, I'm guessing you've learned to adjust to not living like a warrior queen?" Diana asked.
"I've been exiled from the Amazons Diana. Even if Themyscira still existed, I wouldn't be able to wear my armor again until my exile ends." Hippolyta said and Diana nodded.
"Not to mention it would draw unwanted attention to you." Diana said and Hippolyta nodded.
"I admit that raising Donna has allowed me a bit of a second chance to correct the mistakes I made with you. I can't keep her isolated like I tried to keep you." Hippolyta said.
"You know Jason will be here for my wedding. Are you sure you can face him?" Diana asked.
"I'm more worried about facing my sisters, since I'm sure that they blame me for what happened to our home." Hippolyta said, since Diana had invited all the surviving original amazons to attend her wedding.
"And if they have a problem with it, they have to deal with me, since there's no way I'm getting married without at least one of my parents in attendance." Diana said as she led her mother towards the elevators to get her settled in before the rehearsal dinner tonight.
