The next day was the wedding. Which was why Diana was currently standing alone in the bride's suite, preparing for the one adventure she'd spent a majority of her life thinking that she'd never go on. Marriage. Her entire childhood, she'd been raised to believe that love was a weakness and that it had no place in her life.

Then she met Steve. The man who'd not only convinced her to leave her home, but had shown her how wrong the Amazons were about everything. The world of men and most importantly love. She'd fallen in love with Steve and she had no regrets about it. Even though she knew that one day she'd lose him to Hades while she continued to live on. But she'd known that going into this relationship and while she knew she'd be heartbroken when that day came, it would be worth it for whatever happiness she could get with Steve now.

But Diana was pulled from her thoughts when she heard a male voice behind her.

"You look beautiful." a man said and Diana turned to see a man she'd never seen before standing in front of her, though there was something familiar about him.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Diana asked.

"I'd be hurt that you don't recognize me, but then again, you've never met me before and this is not the form I took when I was with your mother." the man said and that was when Diana realized who this was.

"Father?" Diana asked, since while she'd dreamt of her father, Zeus, king of the gods, attending her wedding, she didn't think it would actually happen.

"Yes, my beautiful daughter. While I have missed much of your life due to my decree that the Gods were to keep our distance from Earth after your brother Ares was cast out, but I could not bring myself to miss this day. Especially since it is clear that without my guiding hand, the Amazons strayed from their path due to Hippolyta's stubbornness. Perhaps if I had reached out to her, she would've allowed you to leave Themyscira sooner and the island would not have sunk, since you were right that I had a reason for restoring her memory of Hephaestia. There was a reason I ensured that she birthed a son along with a daughter. I'd always intended to use you and Jason to reunite the two peoples into one group. And while it was not the way I intended for it to happen, you did unite your people as their Queen." Zeus said as he placed his hands on her shoulders.

"Can you raise Themyscira from the oceans?" Diana asked, since while her people were happy on Hephaestia, she knew that some of them missed their old home.

"There is not much of the island left to raise, since Atlantis's attack was quite thorough. My brother is lucky I did not blame him for what his followers did, since Poseidon was just angered by what that foolish mortal Orm did as I was. But I do not wish to speak of such matters on what is supposed to be a very happy occasion." Zeus said to his daughter.

"Does this mean that the gods will be interacting with the mortals again?" Diana asked.

"I would not go that far, since I did agree with Clotho's decision to allow humanity to grow beyond their dependence on the gods. Why do you think I never punished her or tracked her down after she destroyed her loom." Zeus said.

"You knew about that?" Diana asked, only to have Zeus raise an eyebrow at her.

"I knew that it was only a matter of time until she did, just Clotho was always rebellious due to her youth in terms of gods. But do you really think that she could've destroyed the Loom if I had not allowed it?" Zeus asked.

"Fair enough. And I'm glad that you don't blame her, since she will be here today, since she is a good friend of mine. Along with my sister." Diana said and Zeus nodded.

"I suspected as much. I just hope that Lachesis and Atropos do not attempt to attend, since while I empowered you to defeat Ares, I don't want to get involved in further fighting between my children. Though I do look forward to seeing my son and other daughter here today." Zeus said.

"I'm sure both Jason and Donna will be eager to see you, though I do hope that the other Amazons here today won't pay more attention to you than me, since I am the bride." Diana said.

"And I will not allow that to happen. While I do enjoy attention, I did not come here to steal the attention away from my daughter. Though I do need to have a talk with your mother after the ceremony, before I and the other gods return to Olympus, which you will always be welcomed to visit, since you are half god, it is your right to see Olympus." Zeus said as he then produced a bottle.

"What is this?" Diana asked.

"A gift for you to give to your future husband. An elixir created from the juices of a golden apple of immortality from the tree in Hera's garden. It was not easy to convince her to allow me to take the apple and even harder to convince your uncle Hades to allow me to give this to you." Zeus said.

"Why?" Diana asked and Zeus smiled.

"I know how much you dread the day that you will lose your beloved to Hades' realm, but this elixir, should he choose to take it, will give him a lifespan as long as yours." Zeus said and Diana couldn't stop herself from hugging her father.

"Thank you father. I can only hope that he will take it, since I won't force him to." Diana said as she felt tears of joy and relief flow from her eyes.

"Enough tears my daughter. It is time for you to look like the queen goddess you are for your wedding. Which is why I brought in an expert." Zeus said as a woman appeared out of nowhere who looked more beautiful than anyone else Diana had ever seen.

"Aphrodite." Diana said, recognizing the goddess of love immediately.

"Hello my dear. Let me work my magic on you so I can make you the most stunning bride since Helen herself." Aphrodite said as Diana allowed the goddess to work her magic.
