To say the Amazons were surprised when the gods of Olympus appeared at the wedding. Specifically Poseidon, who was speaking with Arthur and Mera, along with Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Athena, the Fate Clotho, and of course, you couldn't host a party with gods without inviting the literal party god himself, Dionysus, and they were even more surprised to learn that the king of the gods himself, Zeus, Diana's father, was attending as well, however, they were ordered not to allow that to draw attention from the bride and groom.
Speaking of which, as soon as the music began to play, everyone took their seats. On Steve's side of the aisle was his relatives and friends from the military, while on Diana's side sat every associated with the Justice League who weren't a part of the wedding party, meaning Oliver, Laurel, Barry, Iris, Lois, J'onn, M'gann, Karen, Arthur, Mera, Lena and Felicity, along with the gods, Hippolyta and the other Amazons, including Diana's aunt Antiope, who'd been one of the survivors of the Atlantis war and had become one of Diana's staunchest supporters as Queen and served on the Hephaestia High Council and was a general of it's military, along with a few other friends Diana had made in man's world, including Julia Kapetilis, her daughter Vanessa and a close friend of Diana's, Etta Candy.
Standing up at the altar already was Steve, who was standing next to Kent Nelson, who in addition to being the host of a lord of order was also a licensed wedding official.
As the music started, the first ones to come down the aisle were Steve's young niece and nephew from his sister Tracy, who were serving as the flower girl and ring bearer. His niece Susan was dropping petals as she walked until she and her brother Max reached the end of the aisle, at which point Max walked up to the standard place for the ring bearer while Susan sat down on her uncle's side of the aisle.
The bridesmaid and ring bearer duo to come walking down the aisle was the kids' mother Tracy Trevor, along with one of Steve's friends from the service, John Stewart.
After they took their places at the far end of each side of the altar, the next bridesmaid and groomsman came down the aisle were Selina and Bruce, followed by Alex and Clark, then Jason and Donna and then finally, the maid of honor and best man, Kara and Hal, since Hal was one of Steve's oldest friends.
After they reached the altar, everyone stood up as Diana came walking down the aisle, looking more like she was the queen she was, in a flowing white gown with her hair and makeup having been done by the goddess of beauty herself to make sure Diana looked like what she really was. A god and a queen, since she was half old god and she was the queen of Hephaestia.
And walking her down the aisle, looking very proud and happy about this moment, was the King of the Gods himself, Diana's own father Zeus.
When they arrived at the altar, Steve walked down to greet his bride, though he did gulp nervously at the sight of his future father-in-law, since he hadn't exactly been able to ask for his blessing before he'd proposed to Diana.
"Calm yourself Steve Trevor. If I'd had a problem with your proposal to my daughter, you would've been struck by lightning when you did it. However, I warn you now. Should you hurt my daughter in any way, I will strike you down to the depths of Tartarus and order my brother Hades to unleash the worst horrors of the pit onto your soul." Zeus said and Steve simply gulped and nodded as Diana rolled her eyes at her father, even though she was thrilled he was her.
"Now, I believe that is your cue." Zeus said as he handed his daughter off to her groom and took a seat near the front next to Hippolyta as Steve and Diana walked up to Kent.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to serve as witnesses to Steven Trevor and Diana Prince becoming joined in holy matrimony. If there is anyone here who sees a reason as to why these two loving souls should not be wed, well, keep it to yourself or risk the wrath of the gods." Kent said and while everyone on Steve's side chuckled, thinking that was a little joke, everyone sitting on Diana's side knew how serious that threat was.
"Now, I believe the bride and groom have written their own vows." Kent said as Steve took over.
"Diana, before I met you, my life was all work. The only thing I truly cared about besides my family was my country. My life was work, work, work. Then one day, whether it was either by really bad luck or really good luck, my plane went down and I washed up on your shores and you angel, were unlike any woman I'd ever met before. You not only saved my life, but you changed it for the better. You did something that no one, not even my sister or my best friends could do. You got me to start to enjoy life outside of the service. I promise to love and cherish you forever." Steve said and Diana smiled as a few tears came to her eyes as it was her turn.
"Steven, before I met you, I thought I had my life figured out and men were not a part of it. I thought that they were a waste of time, a plague on the world. But you changed all that. You showed me there was so much more to the world than I thought and you brought so much joy and love into my life. I promise to love and cherish you forever." Diana said, hoping deeply that Steve agreed to take the elixir her father had given her.
"Present the rings." Kent said as Steve's nephew Max presented them.
"Do you, Steven Trevor, take Diana Prince to be your lawfully wedded wife?" Kent asked.
"I do." Steve said as he took Diana's ring, which just so happened to be the piece of the Loom of Fate that Clotho had entrusted Diana with and placed it on her finger.
"And do you, Diana Prince, take Steven Trevor to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Kent asked.
"I do." Diana said as she slid Steve's own ring onto his finger.
"Then, by the power vested in me by the city of Washington DC and with a blessing of love and passion from the gods, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Kent said as Steve and Diana shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
