The large practice room, was like a breath of fresh air for Yesung. He stood in the middle of the room, enjoying the peace and quiet. This was the place, where all of Yesung's worries couldn't disturb him. Yesung's mind had been filled with various amounts of thoughts. Not all positive unfortunately. Since Yesung was a young adult, this was his sanctuary. Filling the room with his soft vocals, which took him far away. Yesung put his hands on his hips and looked up at the ceiling. "What do I do?" Yesung quietly asked himself. "Yesung", suddenly he heard his name being called out quietly.

"Yesung, I know you want to be left alone" it was Siwon. "Could you please, let me explain?" Siwon asked. Yesung was silent, he wanted to respond but could not seem to find his voice. "I understand If you cannot face me but please let me take this opportunity to talk to you" Siwon was desperate. Y With Yesung's silent response and not leaving the room. Siwon took this as a sign and began to speak.

Siwon

"Yesung, I know that what I said surprised you but you need to know, this is all a surprise for me as well". "Throughout the years, I have always thought I knew what I wanted" Siwon's voice sounded a bit shaky. "However it wasn't until a year ago, that all of that changed". Siwon took a step closer to the man in front of him.

Yesung stood there frozen, unsure of whether he should leave or stay. "I knew that, I wanted to meet someone, get married and start a family" Siwon continued. "That was going to be my future, but all of that vanished, the day you got really sick". That last sentence, suddenly caught Yesung's attention. It took Yesung back to the date of the second of January, two thousand and twenty four.

Flashback

02/01/24

It was a late night and Leetuek, Ryeowook and Siwon were all waiting outside a hospital room. A small lady was sitting in a chair, surrounded by two men. It was Yesung's parents and little brother. Yesung's mother appeared quite upset and worried about the individual who was in the hospital room. The doctor came out and stood before the small group of loved ones. "How is he?" the older man asked the doctor. "Your son appears to coming around which is a good sign" the doctor explained. "But doctor, what is wrong with him?" Siwon asked, tired of not being told anything informative.

"Yesung has influenza" the doctor shared. The doctor explained how each person responds differently to influenza. To some it may appear like a cold but to others it could be fatal. "Yesung, will need to stay in hospital until he has made a full recovery" the doctor said. "He is still in a critical state, the next twenty four hours will be crucial". "I suggest you all go home for now, there is nothing you can do at this time" the doctor then left. Yesung's mother was determined to stay, but was convinced by her husband that it was best they go home. He reassured her, that the hospital would let them know if anything happens. To bring comfort to the couple, Siwon said he would stay with Yesung. With that being decided, Yesung's family and the other members went home.

Siwon went into the room and looked at the helpless man laying on the bed. Siwon sat down beside his friend. "I told you to not overdo it but of course you don't listen" Siwon said. Siwon sat down on the only chair in the room. "You are so stubborn, always making your family and friends worry", Siwon took Yesung's hand. "Why won't you just take it easy, what are you trying to prove" a tear suddenly fell down Siwon's cheek. Siwon was surprised by the sudden wetness of his cheek. "Just wake up", Siwon wrapped both hands around Yesung's. Attempting to contain these sudden feelings that he was feeling.

End of flashback

A tear rolled down Yesung's cheek. He may have been out of it. Yet somehow he remembers a presence that was beside him, the day he fell ill. "It was that very moment, that I realised my life wasn't going to be the same again" Siwon continued. "These feelings that I feel for you Yesung, is real". "I am in love with you, as crazy as it sounds, I always have been". "It just took the possibility of me, losing you to realise it" Siwon explained. Yesung turned around and looked at Siwon. "So what am I meant to do with that?" Yesung asked with a torn look.
