Chapter 22: Nightmare and Retaliation (II)

After the girls finally fell asleep in our arms, I gently got up, ensuring that Momoko was soundly asleep, and quietly slipped out of the bedroom. I picked up my phone, opened Instagram, and saw that Kagami and Shigeru had also sent messages.

I sent a message first: "Brothers, Momoko told me tonight that today at work, she was almost assaulted by the manager..."

Kagami quickly responded: "Miyako too. That professor did something unspeakable to her. Can I chop him up?!"

Shigeru added: "Same with Kaoru; the coach almost tried something on her. I can't hold back any longer."

The three of us shared our girlfriends' experiences through messages, unable to calm the fury burning inside us. My fists clenched involuntarily, and my mind was already starting to plan our next move.

I replied, "Let's all take leave tomorrow. These three wolves can't be left in this world anymore."

Kagami immediately agreed, "Absolutely, they must pay the price. We can't let them hurt anyone else."

Shigeru also expressed his resolve, "It's settled then; tomorrow, we'll take care of them."

We were determined not only to seek justice for our girlfriends but also to ensure that such things would never happen again. We knew it was our responsibility to protect the girls we loved and never let them be harmed again.

After agreeing on the details of our actions on Instagram, I quietly returned to the bedroom, lay down beside Momoko again, and gently pulled her into my arms. Watching her peaceful sleeping face, I silently vowed that I would never let these wolves have another chance to hurt them.

The next morning, I took leave from school, my mind already clear with a plan. The anger in my heart burned like a raging fire, constantly urging me to act. The image of Momoko crying in my arms last night kept flashing in my mind, filling me with endless contempt and hatred for that vile manager.

I headed straight for the Tokyo Skytree, and the pedestrians and scenery along the way became blurred; the only thought in my mind was to seek justice for Momoko. I stepped into the café on the observation deck of the Skytree, and the staff turned their heads to look at me. It seemed they were intimidated by the aura I was exuding; no one dared to stop me. Without hesitation, I walked straight toward the manager's office, ignoring the stares and whispers around me.

Pushing open the office door, I saw the manager sitting in his chair, smugly flipping through some documents. When he saw me enter, he showed a trace of impatience on his face. "Who are you? Do you know who I am? How dare you barge into my office?"

I didn't respond to his provocation; instead, I let out a cold smile, my eyes flashing with a chilling light. I walked straight up, grabbed the manager by the ankle, and without a word, lifted his entire body. The manager hadn't even processed what was happening before I dragged him to the window.

"You… what are you doing? Let go of me!" the manager shouted in panic, his voice trembling with fear.

I ignored his panic and only laughed coldly, hanging him upside down outside the window. From this height, the ground of the Tokyo Skytree looked like a distant otherworld. I dangled him over 450 meters above the ground, watching him flail in terror. The anger in my heart eased slightly.

"Manager, isn't the view better upside down?" I said coldly, my voice filled with mockery. "Do you know this is over four hundred meters high? If you fall, you'll end up like a smashed tomato, won't you?"

The manager turned pale with fear, his body trembling uncontrollably, but he was still trying to keep up a tough front. He gritted his teeth and attempted to regain control through threats, "Do you know who I am? What you're doing is illegal! I will make you pay for this! If you lay a finger on me, I will..."

Listening to his threats, I laughed even colder, "Oh, really? You're going to make me pay? Then let's make it more exciting." With that, I loosened one of my hands, which had been holding his ankle, so that I was now holding him with just one hand.

The manager's body began to sway wildly, and he screamed in terror, "No, don't do this! Pull me back in! You'll kill me!"

I responded mockingly, "Oh? What's wrong? Weren't you tough just now? Go on, keep talking. Maybe I'll get so scared that I can't even hold on to your foot anymore~"

The manager was scared out of his wits, his head becoming congested from being upside down, and his vision started to darken. He finally realized that I was not someone he could deal with.

"No, please don't! Pull me back in, I beg you! I... I'll never do it again!" the manager pleaded, his voice tinged with a sob, completely losing his previous arrogant demeanor.

I looked at him coldly, my heart ice-cold. Scum like him only felt fear when faced with a real threat. I looked down at the manager in my hand and said coldly, "You think you can escape using your connections and power? You can try!"

The manager's heart pounded rapidly, and every cell in his body screamed with fear. He felt like he was only a step away from death.

"I... I really know I was wrong. Please pull me back in. I'll never do it again!" the manager almost begged.

I smirked coldly and suddenly pulled the manager up, tossing him back into the office. He fell to the floor like a pile of soft mud, dizzy and unable to stand up. I looked down at him from above. "If you ever dare to lay a finger on Momoko again, I guarantee that a picture of you splattered like a tomato will be on the front page of Japanese news. And your connections and power? They mean nothing to me. I'll show you what real terror is."

After saying that, I turned and left the office, not caring about the manager who was collapsed on the floor. I had already decided that this matter would not end here. This was just the beginning. I would make sure this wolf tasted more suffering in the days to come.

To seek justice for Miyako, Kagami decided to take more direct action. Because he had left his Katana at his home in Kyoto, he headed to a famous shrine in Tokyo dedicated to Susanoo This shrine is renowned for its sacred katana, which is said to be able to cut through all evil.

When Kagami walked into the shrine, a familiar shrine attendant immediately came up to him with a friendly smile. "Mr. Kagami, long time no see. What brings you to the shrine today?"

Kagami politely smiled in return. "I have something that requires the shrine's help today. I'd like to borrow the sacred katana of Susanoo"

The shrine attendant looked a bit puzzled upon hearing this. "The sacred katana? What do you intend to use it for? It is a divine object, and we cannot easily lend it out."

Kagami continued to smile, but his tone carried an undeniable resolve. "There have been some vile things at Bunka Fashion College recently, and unfortunately, I left my Katana at my home in Kyoto. I plan to use this katana to exorcise them. Rest assured, I will return the katana quickly."

Though the shrine attendant was still somewhat doubtful, due to Kagami's usual conduct at the shrine and the reputation of the Midou family, they did not question further. They simply nodded deeply, turned around, and headed to the sanctuary to retrieve the sacred katana, which they then respectfully handed to Kagami.

Kagami took the sacred katana and felt the cold chill emanating from it. After thanking the shrine staff, he walked resolutely toward Bunka Fashion College.

When Kagami, holding the sacred katana, entered Bunka Fashion College, it was lunchtime, and the campus was full of chatting and laughing students. Some students noticed the Katanain Kagami's hand and stopped in their tracks, whispering in surprise.

"Who is that guy? He's carrying a Katana in here!"

"What's he planning to do? Is this for a movie shoot?"

"It doesn't look like it... his aura seems different..."

Kagami didn't feel uncomfortable with these remarks; instead, he smiled and responded, "I'm here today for a Kendo exchange and to demonstrate some Iaijutsu techniques."

The students, though still puzzled by his words, couldn't question him further. They continued to observe Kagami's every move. They saw his steady steps and determined gaze. Even though he wore a smile, his composed and calm demeanor commanded a sense of awe.

Kagami walked steadily toward the professor's office, and the murmurs of the students gradually quieted. Everyone was speculating about what this young man with a Katana was planning to do. But Kagami was clear in his mind that there was only one purpose for his visit today—to seek justice for Miyako.

Kagami arrived at the door of the professor's office, took a deep breath, and politely knocked.

"Come in." The professor's voice came from inside the office.

Kagami pushed the door open and walked in. The professor looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Who are you? I don't recall seeing you before. Are you a student at this school?"

Kagami maintained his cold smile, but his tone carried an undeniable authority: "Professor, have you ever heard of the Midou family from Arashiyama, Kyoto?"

The moment the professor heard the name "Midou," his face instantly turned pale. The Midou family from Arashiyama was a renowned martial arts clan, not only in Japan but around the world. They wielded power and wealth equal to that of the government, with even the Japanese royal family showing them great respect. The professor immediately realized that he might have provoked someone he should never have crossed.

"You... you're from the Midou family?" The professor's voice began to tremble, his eyes filled with fear.

"Yes, I am Kagami of the Midou family." Kagami's smile remained, but the chill behind it grew even more intense. "I'm here because of what you did to my girlfriend yesterday."

Cold sweat instantly broke out on the professor's forehead, and his legs began to shake. He tried to hide his fear, but his voice was already trembling: "It... it was a misunderstanding! I... I was just giving her some guidance!"

As the professor stammered out his explanation, Kagami's smile grew even colder, as if the temperature in the room had dropped. His voice turned icy: "What did you say? 'Boyfriend'? 'What can he give her'? You said you could give her everything, as long as she was willing, didn't you?"

The professor's face became even paler as he struggled to stammer a response, but his words were completely cut off by Kagami's cold laughter.

Without another word, Kagami swiftly drew his sacred sword. In an instant, the room seemed to freeze over as the cold gleam of the blade flashed. Without hesitation, Kagami swung the sword, and within seconds, every piece of furniture, file cabinet, and decoration in the office was sliced into fragments. Dust and debris filled the air, like the aftermath of a violent storm.

The professor's face turned deathly pale at that moment, and his legs gave out beneath him as he collapsed to the floor. Trembling uncontrollably with terror, cold sweat poured down his face. In that instant, he was so frightened that he lost control, wetting himself, as urine dripped down his pant leg onto the floor, all traces of his former authority utterly gone.

Kagami slowly sheathed the sacred katana, his smile no longer warm but carrying a cold authority. "The sacred katana cannot be stained with blood, so I didn't take your life directly. But you'd better remember this: if you ever show up in front of Miyako again, I won't hesitate to turn you into 'sashimi.'"

The professor's heart raced wildly. He felt as if he was just a step away from death, every cell in his body screaming with fear.

"No, no! Spare me, I beg you! I… I won't dare ever again!" The professor's voice trembled with sobs, completely losing his previous arrogant demeanor.

Kagami looked at him coldly, his tone icy. "From today, you'd better disappear from this world entirely. Otherwise, the next time I see you, I won't give you any chance."

With that, Kagami turned and left the office, leaving behind a room full of debris and a professor collapsed on the floor. The professor had completely lost the courage to resist; he knew he had provoked someone he should never have crossed.

Kagami returned to the shrine with the sacred katana. Although the shrine attendants were puzzled by his use of the katana this time, seeing that Kagami was unharmed, they felt somewhat relieved. After returning the sacred katana, Kagami finally felt a sense of calm, but deep in his heart, he remained filled with determination.

Shigeru, a highly regarded young writer, had made a name for himself in the Japanese literary world with his outstanding works and handsome appearance.

His writing style was delicate, his stories were rich with emotion, and he often focused on the underprivileged in society, which earned him great popularity among readers. As he stepped into the Japan Women's College of Physical Education, he immediately caught the attention of many students. Some fans at the university recognized him and excitedly rushed forward with books and paper, hoping to get his autograph.

Shigeru smiled politely, patiently responding to each request, signing his name on the pages, and in a gentle tone, he asked, "Excuse me, do you know where the office of that foreign coach is?"

A fan immediately pointed to one side of the teaching building and excitedly replied, "It's over there, Mr. Shigeru! He's a very burly foreign coach who often stays there."

Shigeru thanked them with a smile, but inside, a fire of anger that could not be quenched was burning. He knew that his goal today was not just to find out the location of the coach but to seek justice for Kaoru. After bidding farewell to the fans, he walked resolutely in the indicated direction. Each step was filled with determination and fury, all fueled by the fear and despair Kaoru had expressed while crying in his arms that day.

When Shigeru reached the foreign coach's office door, he already had a clear plan in mind. He pushed the door open and saw the coach sitting leisurely in his chair, clearly not expecting anyone to come looking for trouble. The coach was momentarily stunned by Shigeru's appearance but quickly sneered, taunting him with a mocking tone, "Who are you, bean sprout? This is the Japan Women's College of Physical Education. Are you the new janitor?"

Hearing this, Shigeru's eyes instantly turned cold. Without uttering a single word of nonsense, he stared icily at the coach. Then, with a slight lean forward, his right fist suddenly struck the office wall. With a deafening boom, the wall, several meters thick and high, was instantly reduced to powder, with debris and dust flying through the air, engulfing the entire office in a cloud of grayish-white smoke.

The coach's once-contemptuous smile froze in an instant, his eyes filling with disbelief and fear. Instinctively, he took a step back, trying to distance himself from Shigeru, but Shigeru had already moved forward quickly. His left hand clamped down on the coach's mouth, lifting the burly man off the ground with sheer strength. The coach's body hung in mid-air, powerless to struggle, his eyes wide open in terror.

Shigeru twisted his right hand forcefully, and the coach's right arm made a sharp snapping sound, breaking cleanly. The coach's face turned pale with pain, tears streaming down his face. His body trembled violently, but with his mouth clamped shut by Shigeru, he could only let out muffled groans. Shigeru smirked coldly, his eyes filled with a chilling murderous intent, "Is it these hands that tainted Kaoru? The pain you're feeling now doesn't even come close to one-tenth of what she felt then."

The coach's body had completely lost the strength to resist, his right arm hung limply, and he was on the verge of fainting from the pain. However, Shigeru had no intention of letting him go. He continued in a cold tone, "Breaking your arm is as easy as snapping a chopstick. Next... it will be your left arm."

With those words, Shigeru didn't hesitate. With another forceful twist, he broke the coach's other arm. The coach's body convulsed violently, his face grew even paler, cold sweat beaded on his forehead, and his eyes filled with despair and fear. He couldn't believe that this seemingly gentle young man possessed such immense strength and determination.

Shigeru said nothing more. He released his grip, and the coach's body dropped to the floor like a rag, writhing in pain and unable to move. Shigeru looked down coldly at the man who had once threatened and hurt Kaoru, his eyes full of disdain and contempt. "Remember this lesson. If you ever dare approach Kaoru again, next time, you will lose more than just your hands." Shigeru's voice was low and commanding, as if pronouncing the coach's fate.

After the harrowing events of the previous day, Momoko, Miyako, and Kaoru were utterly exhausted, their emotions fragile from the trauma they had endured. With the comfort of their boyfriends, they managed to get through that painful night, but the psychological and physical wounds left them devoid of their usual energy. It wasn't until noon the next day that they woke from a heavy sleep, their tired eyes still carrying a hint of fear and unease.

However, after finishing breakfast, as the girls rested and inadvertently discovered via Instagram that their boyfriends had also taken leave from school that day, a sense of unease began to surface in their hearts.

Momoko was the first to open Instagram. Seeing that Miyako and Kaoru were also online, she sent a message: "Did your boyfriends take the day off too? I just saw that Yuzuhiko didn't go to school either."

Miyako quickly replied, "Yeah, Kagami didn't go to Waseda today either. He told me to rest well, but he took the day off himself."

Kaoru also chimed in with a message: "Same with Shigeru. He comforted me this morning and told me not to worry, but then he took the day off too. What do you think? Where could they have gone?"

The three of them exchanged messages, feeling increasingly uneasy. They all had a vague feeling that their boyfriends' absence from school wasn't a coincidence, but rather for a particular reason.

Driven by anxiety, Momoko suggested they have a group call to share information more quickly and analyze the current situation. They quickly started an Instagram group call.

As soon as the call connected, Miyako spoke first, her voice filled with concern, "Do you think the boys might be doing something dangerous? They all looked so angry yesterday. I'm worried they might do something reckless for our sake."

Kaoru followed, her voice tinged with anxiety, "I've been thinking the same thing. Yesterday, the way Shigeru looked at me—I've never seen him that angry before… He's always been such a gentle person, but last night, he was completely different."

Momoko sighed, her tone mixed with helplessness and worry, "Yuzuhiko may joke around a lot, but I know he takes things very seriously deep down. Yesterday, he looked especially angry too… Do you think they really went to 'seek justice' for us?"

The three fell silent upon hearing these words. While none of them wanted to believe that their boyfriends would take extreme actions, considering what happened last night, they couldn't help but face this possibility. They recalled the boys' anger, along with their protective instincts and determination, making it difficult to separate them from impulsive acts of revenge.

Miyako broke the silence, her voice filled with anxiety, "What if they really went to get revenge on those people? We can't let them put themselves in danger… I'm really worried."

Kaoru bit her lip, clearly struggling to suppress her own anxiety, "I don't want anything to happen to them either. But what do we do now? Should we try to find them?"

Momoko took a deep breath, trying to stay calm, "Let's not panic just yet. Since they're not at school, we can try contacting them and see if we can find any clues. If they really are doing something dangerous, we need to stop them quickly."

After a brief discussion, the three girls decided to each try contacting their boyfriends to see if they could find out where they were. They knew that although their boyfriends' actions were meant to protect them, they didn't want them to end up in danger because of it. Filled with unease and concern, the girls also understood that this was the only thing they could do at the moment.

Momoko, Miyako, and Kaoru each dialed Yuzuhiko, Kagami, and Shigeru's numbers, but none of the calls were answered. Their messaging apps showed all three as "Unread," further deepening their anxiety. Each dial tone seemed to amplify their growing sense of worry.

Miyako said anxiously during the call, "They're not answering any calls… Where could they be? This isn't like them."

Momoko's voice also had a hint of urgency, "I think they might be deliberately avoiding us… They must be doing something we don't know about. Yuzuhiko said yesterday he would get justice for me. I didn't think it would be this serious at the time."

Kaoru sighed, her voice filled with helplessness and concern, "All we can do now is wait and hope they come back safely. We need to be mentally prepared—whatever they've done, we'll support them."

In a state of anxiety and unease, the three girls decided to keep in touch and agreed to notify each other immediately if they heard any news. Though their hearts were filled with worry, they also knew their boyfriends would do their best to protect themselves and not put themselves in danger lightly.

The girls, though anxious, were also confident in their boyfriends' determination and strength. They knew that no matter where their boyfriends went, their intent was to protect them, and the only thing they could do was wait at home and pray for their safe return.

To alleviate their inner anxiety, the three girls agreed to stay in contact and immediately inform each other if there was any news. They repeatedly thought about their boyfriends' expressions and tones from the previous night, and their worries were hard to dispel. However, they knew that the only thing they could do now was to trust their boyfriends and, when they returned, give them the utmost support and understanding.

As time ticked by, the girls grew increasingly uneasy, constantly refreshing their Instagram message lists, hoping for any response from their boyfriends. Though their hearts were filled with anxiety and fear, they also knew their boyfriends were out there fighting for them with all their might. The only thing they could do was wait for that familiar phone ring to tell them that their boyfriends were safe and sound.

After we completed our respective acts of revenge, the three of us walked out of the Tokyo Skytree, Bunka Fashion College, and Japan Women's College of Physical Education, completely unharmed. The anger that had been suppressed in our hearts was finally vented, and now we felt an unprecedented sense of relief and satisfaction. To celebrate this "victory," we decided to meet up at McDonald's for lunch and share our experiences in person.

Walking into McDonald's, we casually ordered a few meal sets and sat at a window seat. Occasionally, students and office workers walked by, but we didn't care and focused on talking about what happened today. As the food arrived at our table, we dug into our fries and burgers and began our conversation.

I spoke first, "You know what? I just dragged that manager right out of his office and hung him upside down outside the window of the Tokyo Skytree. That spot is over 400 meters above the ground. The guy got so scared he pissed himself—his pants were soaked, and he kept crying and begging me to pull him back in." I couldn't help but laugh as I said this, "Thinking about him pleading like that—it was hilarious!"

Kagami and Shigeru burst out laughing as well. Kagami laughed while slapping the table, "Haha, serves him right! Hearing you say that, I feel like I was still pretty polite today."

Kagami took a bite of his burger and continued, "I borrowed a sacred katana today and went straight to Bunka Fashion College to find that professor. When I went in, I made sure to ask him, 'Have you heard of the Midou family?' The professor was stunned for a moment, clearly recognizing my family name. I immediately drew the katana and, in an instant, slashed all the furniture in his office to pieces. The guy turned pale, wet his pants too, and huddled in the corner like a scared rat."

Hearing Kagami's story, I couldn't stop laughing. "Haha, and he dared to lay a hand on Miyako? Truly doesn't know what's good for him. If he dares to try anything else next time, we might as well turn him into 'sashimi.'"

Shigeru, chewing on a chicken nugget, spoke leisurely, "I went to Japan Women's College of Physical Educationtoday to find that foreign coach. The guy still had this cocky look on his face, acting like he was afraid of no one. I didn't bother with small talk—just punched a hole through the wall of his office. Then I grabbed his filthy hand and broke it right there. He was crying like a baby, with tears streaming down his face, wailing all the way~"

After hearing Shigeru's account, I suddenly felt like I hadn't been hard enough on the manager. I couldn't help but remark, "Listening to you guys, I feel like I went too easy today. I should've broken the manager's hand as well."

Kagami nodded in agreement, "Exactly. I think with that professor, scaring him wasn't enough; he should've been taught a lesson. If we could just cut off his filthy hands, he'd never dare try anything on anyone again."

Shigeru laughed and patted me on the shoulder, saying, "No worries, today we just gave them a warning. If they dare to continue their evil deeds, next time we won't be so kind. People like them are bound to face their own consequences sooner or later."

I nodded and then lowered my voice, "Speaking of which, we have our next step planned too. These guys got a lesson today, but we need to make them disappear socially, disappear from this circle forever." I looked at Kagami and Shigeru, and their expressions turned serious. Today's revenge was just the beginning; the next steps would be even more crucial.

I continued, "Don't forget, when we fought alongside the Powerpuff Girls Z, we were introduced to the higher-ups by the former mayor, Miss Bellum, and Professor Utonium because of our unique existence. Now, we're government agents, handling things that can't see the light of day. As long as there are no fatalities, the Japanese government turns a blind eye to what we do." I chuckled softly, "This gives us a lot of opportunities. These three wolves have more coming to them."

Kagami smirked, "Exactly. These people think we're just ordinary punks; they have no idea how strong our background and capabilities are."

Shigeru also flashed a cunning smile and added, "Since the government is so lenient with us, we can use this identity to our advantage. Those scumbags have no idea who they've messed with. Today's lesson is just the start; let's see if they dare to offend us again."
