Gotham 99 Season 1 Ep 4 Part 2
The next day at the Precinct, N comes into work and approaches Uzi who was at her desk.
"Hey, Uzi. Have you heard anything from the M.E.? She hasn't sent the autopsy report." N asked her concerned.
"Oh, that's strange." Uzi said and thinks quickly and said "Maybe probably a bunch more people died and she got super busy? That's definitely what happened."
N processes that and nods saying "Okay, just let me know when she calls."
"You got it." Uzi said with a nervous smile as N goes to his desk, she then gets up and goes to Vaggie and J who were at J's desk and clears her throat to get their attention and said "Hey, can I ask you guys something? Can you keep a secret?"
"Do you know anything about my life?" Vaggie asked her.
"No, I do not. Good point." Uzi said nodding then said "Okay, so you know the new medical examiner? I kinda slept with her last night."
"What?" J asked in shock.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot who I was talking to. Sleeping with each other is something that two adults do with their bodies when they're attracted to each other." Uzi explained mockingly to J.
"She's right, J. Do you not know that?" Vaggie asked the pigtailed drone.
"I meant, what were you thinking? She was supposed to be doing an autopsy for your primary, N." J said to better explain what she meant.
"The guy died of natural causes. What's the big deal?" Uzi said with a nonchalant shrug. She then continues "Anyways, back to last night. As you would imagine, I'm normally up for pretty much anything in the bedroom, but I can't tell if what happened was weird or sexy." She then explains as we flashback.
We flashback to last night where Uzi and Maria were on the couch making out.
Maria stops and said "Wait. Close your eyes."
"Okay." Uzi said smiling and closes her eyes, Maria then takes an ice cube from her drink and applies it to her metal lips making the drone yelp.
"Shh. Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh." Maria said as she keeps applying the ice cube to her metal lips.
"What are you doing?" Uzi asked confused as she stayed still.
"I like them cold." Maria told her smiling.
"Okay…" Uzi said confused on this situation as her metal lips were made colder.
Back in the precent Vaggie tells Uzi simply "Not that weird."
"Cold? Like a dead person." Uzi points out.
"You're reading into that." J told her.
"Am I?" Uzi asked and explains another example last night.
We flashback again to last time, Uzi's jacket was open showing her purple tanktop as Maria caresses her chest.
"You have a really nice chest." Maria said smiling.
"Thank you." Uzi said with a smile
"I'd love to crack it open and get my hands all over your circuits." Maria said smiling intimately.
"Okay…" Uzi said not sure how to feel on that.
"I wonder how much your robotic appendix weighs." Maria said and felt that area and gasps "Oh. It's inflamed."
"All right." Uzi said smiling but then getting concerned asked "Wait, that's bad, right?"
"Yeah, it is." Maria said nodding.
"Oh, no." Uzi said concerned.
We return to the present, J reacts in disgust and said standing up "Ew! Please tell me you ran out of there."
"No. For some reason I kinda started getting into it." Uzi admits ashamed and continues to explain.
We flash back to again to last night, Maria was in nightwear and a lab coat while use mostly undressed lay on the ground like a dead body.
"Oh, what do we have here?" Maria said as the two were acting out a roleplay.
"A 34-year-old female drone who is dead. Very dead." Uzi said while remaing still except for her head.
"Mmm. Cause of death?" Maria asked smiling.
"Initial assessment: Blunt force trauma." Uzi replied to her.
"But what do I find when I probe a little farther?" Maria asked smiling as she kneels down.
"Bruising around the neck. And ocean water in the lungs." Uzi told her smiling.
"Ooh, how long have you been dead, body?" Maria asked excited
"Four days." Uzi told her.
"Gross. Bloating. Odors. Even with a drone body" Maria said disgusted.
"Oh, uh, 24 hours." Uzi quickly to correct herself.
"Perfect." Maria said smiling and makes motion to close Uzi's eyes who does close them.
"Here we go." Uzi said excited.
Back in the present J disgusted and freaked out covers her ear receptors and said to Uzi "Stop, stop, stop! Weird, weird, weird!"
"Vaggie, what's your call? Weird or sexy?" Uzi asked the angel.
"Weird." Vaggie told her simply.
"I knew it." Uzi said but then asked hopeful "But also kinda sexy?"
"No. Weird." Vaggie said and J nods in agreement. She then said, "But more importantly, that's what you were doing while N was grinding through paperwork?"
"Told ya. Worst secondary in the unit." J said with a grin.
"What do you guys want from me?" Uzi said annoyed "You know, I take over a crime scene, I'm a bad secondary. I blow off work to sleep with a hot coroner, I'm a bad secondary. I can't win."
However unknown to Uzi, N was walking by and overhearing stops and asked, "What are you guys talking about?"
"Um, just weird adult fun stuff that has nothing to do with work." Uzi said quickly nervous a bit.
"I once slept with someone on a futon. And it was in couch mode." N said proudly and walks back to his desk.
"Hmm." J lets out as she, Vaggie and Uzi were intrigued by that.
A while later in the break room Moxxie was in there, still working on the sketch of the purse snatcher when J comes in to check on him. Also in the breakroom was Griff getting some coffee.
"Sarge, all of these are fine. How much longer are you gonna work on this?" J asked him.
"It's questions like that that made The Painter go insane. You can't put a clock on art." Moxxie said and sees J give a look and told her "Ten minutes."
"Great." J said with a smile "Let's catch this guy so we can give Vrak some good news. I wanna cheer him up."
"Well, how do you even know he's in a bad mood? I mean, it's impossible to read that guy." Griff said to them shrugging.
We flashback to a point where Griff was in Vrak's office. Well let's just say Vrak was a lot more clear with his mood.
"This is the most incompetent, worthless report I have ever read in my life!" Vrak yells out clearly angry at Griff while slamming said report on his desk "Get your act together or, so help me Zordon, you won't live to see retirement!"
We return to the present where Griff then said, "It's like, "what's that alien guy thinking?" You know?"
"I can read him. And if anyone can figure out what's bothering him, it's me. He and I are exactly the same." J said proudly then adds "Except that I'm younger, fully robot, female, single, and into my own speices."
"Captain Vrak's not into interspecies relationships." Griff said with a chuckle but then noticed the surprised bemused looks from J and Moxxie and figured it out "Captain Vrak's into interspecies relationships?"
"Seriously, man, just retire." J said shaking her head.
We then come to the Bullpen where Vrak was approaching N at his desk.
"N, where's my paperwork on that DOA?" Vrak asked and this gets Uzi's attention.
"Still waiting on the autopsy report. Supposed to come in first thing this morning, but so far, nothing." N explained to him.
"This is unacceptable. I'll call the M.E. and find out what happened." Vrak said and goes to make that call.
"Eh, bup-bup-bup-bup-bah." Uzi said quickly getting in front of Vrak to stop her "That's not necessary, sir. For the record, I think it's natural causes anyway, but I'm also the secondary in this case. It's my responsibility, so I will head on down there and pick up the report."
"Good. But don't ever bup-bup-bup-bup me again." Vrak tells her.
"Right, I don't know..." Uzi began to say.
"Bup-bup-bup-bup... Bup-bup-bup." Vrak said interrupting her and just said "Just go." He goes to his office.
"Yep, I am going to regret teaching him that one." Uzi said to herself and leaves.
99th Precinct, 2:10 PM
A short while later, N found something that intrigued him and approaches Vaggie's desk with a file. "Vaggie, can I show you something?" He asked her.
"What's up?" Vaggie asked him.
"Yamada's wife told me that they were going on a cruise together next month, but her credit card bill shows only one ticket booked. Either she's lying or she knew he was gonna die." N explained to her while showing her the file.
Vaggie smiles seeing it and said "Huh, nice find, N."
"This could be a murder." N said with a nod. "Where's that autopsy? Uzi went down to the M.E. an hour and a half ago. She still hasn't got back to me."
"Uzi went to get the autopsy report?" Vaggie said concerned.
"I know. Isn't she the best?" N said with an unknowing smile "I mean, she's really coming into her own as a secondary. I wanna get her something nice. Does he come across more as a Pinot guy or more of a Shiraz?"
"You know what?" Vaggie said standing up "We better go down there. See what's holding him up." She begins to head out.
"Good call." N said and follows her.
We come to the Morgue room of the M.E. office. As N and Vaggie enter, they see Maria looking a bit disheleved as she puts on her lab coat.
"Detectives." Maria said clearing her throat "Hello."
"Shirt's buttoned wrong." Vaggie told her as she walks past.
Maria notices it was trut and covers herself with her lab coat and said "Huh. So it is. Well, how can I help you?"
"Uh, we came by to get that autopsy report. Hmm. Is Detective Doorman here?" N tells her.
"I haven't seen her." Maria said and tries to urge N to leave saying "Thanks for coming by."
Vaggie hears someone coughing and said "Hold on." She opens one of the freezers and pulls out the bed to reveal Uzi in her underclothes and said smirking "Found her."
"Ah, thank goodness you're here. I am so lost." Uzi said smiling trying to play it cool "Do you know where the vending machines are?"
N meanwhile looks a bit annoyed while Maria looks embarrassed.
Well Uzi is in trouble, especially now their is reason to suspect the death was not natural causes let's see how it goes.
