Pain shot through me as my hand made contact with the block of stone. I fell to the ground, my good arm barely managing to catch me before I was sent face first into the floor of the dojo. Blood covered my hand and dripped freely down onto the mat. I looked up at Sensei Kim, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. She was smiling.
"Good job champion," she said in a mocking tone. It was clear that Sensei Kim was enjoying watching me in pain.
"Why are you doing this?" I yelled, my anger taking over. One look at Sensei Kim was all I needed. As soon as I saw her I could tell. She knew. She knew I had told Sam that Silver had bribed the ref.
Sensei Kim knew and she was going to make sure that I paid. I opened my mouth to say something but before I could get anything out I felt a strong arm wrap around my neck. It squeezed hard and I tried desperately to get away. After about a minute my limbs started to go limp as my body began to fail me. This was how I was going to die. My vision started to blur when suddenly whoever was strangling me was released. I fell forward onto the mat, trying desperately to pull air into my lungs. My neck hurt and was surely going to be bruised. A stabbing pain from my left side blinded me. All the air that I had managed to get into my lungs was pushed out. After a painfully long moment a small gasp of air made it into my lungs. I breathed in small gasps of air as I felt myself starting to lose consciousness. The lights to the dojo were turned off as sensei Kim and all the other sensei's left, none of them bothering to give the injured student on the floor of the dojo a second thought. I was still breathing in little gasps and my head was starting to hurt due to the lack of oxygen. I slumped over in a weird angle as I finally passed out.
