Hello all, and welcome to my first ever Total Drama competition story. I originally concepted Total Drama Stormbound way back in 2017, and five years later, I dug it back up for an overhaul, and now it's finally coming into reality. This is my first attempt at a Total Drama competition fic and I'm super excited to finally be sharing it, so I hope you enjoy!

Update January 2024: This was definitely due for an overhaul, and it feels weird to go back to where it all began. I updated a few character designs and stereotypes, fixed some embarrassing typos, and generally touched up the prose as needed.

"Steady now," murmured a man as he stood on the prow of a ship, looking out over the water with an old-fashioned spyglass. The sky above the choppy waves was a dreary, overcast shade of gray and a slight drizzle was beginning to come down, but thankfully the short man was shielded from the rain thanks to the dark blue baseball cap he was wearing. But then again, he was adamantly wearing it backwards, so it didn't actually keep the rain out of his eyes. Javier Garcia, or Javi, had short brown hair sticking out of his cap, a small bushy mustache, dark brown eyes, and olive skin. He was wearing a t-shirt with a lightning bolt 'STORMBOUND' logo on it, along with dark gray sweatpants and black shoes. However, despite all of his easy confidence and obvious knowledge and skill, he still turned deferentially to his partner, who was standing next to him.

"This is it," the other, taller man remarked. He was leaning over the edge of the boat with a childlike sparkle in his dark blue eyes, as the wind whipped his electric blue hair, his long braided rat tail trailing behind him. "Nimbus Cloudbreak is more than one of the Storm Chasers. He's the star of his own band!" He pumped his fist as his voice sounded above the wind and carried over the waves. Nimbus was wearing a pair of faded jeans and a black leather vest over a white shirt with yellow stripes, along with black boots. He had a pair of dark sunglasses sitting on top of his head.

The two men were on a small cargo ship that carried the last load of the supplies needed for the upcoming show, as well as thirteen very important passengers stowed away below decks.

"It's one summer, Nimbus," Javi murmured. "If this doesn't work out… we aren't getting any younger."

Nimbus' earlier pumped-up energy faded and he gave a somber nod. "I understand. But we won't fail. We're going to take the world of reality television, well, by storm!"

Javi gave a derisive snort. "How long did it take you to come up with that one?"

Nimbus ignored him. "It's time to live in the moment, who cares what happens after, let's rock on and show the world what we're made of!" He threw the sign of the horns.

"Yeah, yeah, just being realistic here. And I'm sure you know the stakes." Javi looked through his spyglass again and spotted an island in the distance. "It's time now. Are you ready?"

Nimbus did his best to fix his hair despite the wind, and put his sunglasses on, before beckoning the camera crew over.

Javi gave him a small nod. "And… we're live."

"Welcome all to Total Drama Stormbound!" Nimbus was now standing on the middle of the deck of the cargo ship, with Javi next to him and the ocean all around them, as it continued to drizzle in the background. "I'm the one and only Nimbus Cloudbreak, the lead guitarist of the Storm Chasers!" At that, an electric guitar riff played and he stopped to strum air guitar for a moment. "But more importantly, I'm your host for this brand new adventure! We're coming at you from the North Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Florida. We are just about to enter the fabled Bermuda Triangle, en route to a little place we call Camp Ventallan, where thirteen teenagers are in for the summer of a lifetime!"

"And I'm your co-host, Javi," he added with a smirk, as he produced a large monkey wrench out of nowhere and spun it around in his hand with ease. "The brains behind this whole thing."

Nimbus turned to Javi indignantly, but the mechanic pretended not to notice him.

"I'm here to keep the kids in check and everything running smoothly," Javi continued. "Along with engineering some brand new surprises for our contestants."

Nimbus spread his arms wide. "And now, it's time for the first surprise! Rocking out is still my first love, so prepare yourself for the premiere of my brand new single! This is… Total! Drama! Stormbound!"

Theme Song: "Stormbound" by Nimbus Cloudbreak

The song started with an electric guitar riff while the camera panned through a bird's eye view of the camp, with the sky and surrounding environment being overcast with gray fog. Nimbus was on the wooden stage in front of the campfire pit playing an electric guitar, presumably the backing music for the theme song.

Stormbound!

This first line of the song was shouted by what sounded like the voice of many teenagers, as the camera zoomed in towards the campfire stage. Nimbus flashed a grin, before strumming a power chord that seemed to blast the camera backwards.

Pack up your bags, the game's begun

The camera panned to the beach, where Ollie and Iggy were having a foot race on the sand. Ollie suddenly stopped and did a few cartwheels, causing Iggy to look at the camera in confusion, before it started to rain and the scene switched with a flash of lightning.

Let's open up the sky

Drake and Tanja were outside in front of the cabins when they saw the flash. Tanja grabbed Drake, who looked about to fall asleep, and got in front of him, before Naila popped out of a bush with a flashlight and a giant mirror and laughed before creating another flash.

Back to the wall, spotlight's on you

The scene switched to Maggie and Paradise sitting in the mess hall. Maggie was talking enthusiastically about something, but Paradise didn't seem to be listening, instead looking out the window, and gasping as the rain turned to hail.

So get ready to fly

The camera panned out the window to show Earl and Selene running for cover from the hail. Earl pulled out an umbrella to shield them, only for it to be impaled with a giant icicle. He screamed until Selene simply punched the next falling hailstone, which was somehow in the shape of an anvil, causing it to shatter and ice shards to fly at the camera.

Stormbound, stormbound

The scene switched to a cliff overlooking the beach, where the sun had come out again. Celia and Martin were fighting with wooden swords. Martin easily disarmed Celia, but then she did a roundhouse kick that caused him to stumble backwards.

Competition strikes

The camera panned out to show Kit was watching the fight nervously, and when Celia performed her kick, they screamed and nearly dropped all the screws and wires that they were fidgeting with. Lio ran in between Celia and Martin to break up the fight and gave them a smile, but they both seemed unamused.

We're friend-bound

The camera changed back to the stage. Sophie popped up in her full chef's gear and waved at the camera with a wooden spoon she was carrying.

We're foe-bound

Javi popped up next to her with a devious grin on his face, holding up an oversized wrench.

We're fame-bound

Nimbus ran onstage from the side and slid on his knees, playing air guitar in front of the other two. A spotlight suddenly shined on him, causing Javi and Sophie to shield their eyes, before the light turned right at the camera.

We're stormbound tonight!

When the flash of the spotlight faded, it was night time, showing all of the contestants gathered around the lit campfire. The camera finally panned to Nimbus on the stage behind the campers. He strummed the final chord of the song, with Sophie and Javi standing behind him, as thunder rumbled in the background.

The recorded theme song faded back to Nimbus, where he was standing on the deck in the same pose as in the song, also playing air guitar. "Oh yeah, Nimbus Cloudbreak is going solo, baby!" he cheered and pumped a fist in the air.

"If by that, you mean that Nimbus Cloudbreak is doing his job as the host of the reality show that's being filmed right now, then yes," Javi retorted.

Nimbus chose to ignore him. "Aaanyways, we're back! This is Total Drama Stormbound, and we're still sailin' our way through uncharted waters, over to Camp Ventallan where the competition will take place. We're about to meet our thirteen campers, but first of all, there's something important we need to show you."

Confessional: Nimbus

The camera cut to Nimbus sitting on a supply crate in a temporary interview area set up below decks. "This is the confessional," he explained. "Traditionally, it's in a crappy outhouse, but since the journey to camp is taking longer than expected, Javi rigged up a makeshift interview room here. Some people just can't wait to spill their deepest secrets to the world, I guess." He shrugged and reclined. "As for me, I'm practically an open book! I just wanna rock, and turn it up for my fans, let's go!" He made the sign of the horns with both hands.

"Now that that's taken care of, will you do the honors?" Javi smirked at Nimbus and they headed for the ship's cabin. The mechanic was now carrying a large plastic bin with the same lightning bolt Stormbound logo that was on his shirt.

"Everybody out, campers! We have a surprise for you!" Nimbus banged on the door of the cabin. "Oh, it's unlocked already." He sheepishly went to open up the door as Javi facepalmed in the background.

"Oi, onto the deck! Listen to Nimbus!" Javi shouted. He beckoned the contestants out the door and the thirteen contestants filed out. Many of them were surprised by the ominous color of the sky and the light rain. "Suck it up, a little rain won't hurt you!" the mechanic tried to reassure them.

"Welcome campers, to the summer camp experience of a lifetime!" Nimbus shouted. "I'm your host, Nimbus Cloudbreak, the famous rock star!"

"Who?" murmured one of the teens in the back, causing Nimbus to frown.

"If you don't know me now, you'll know me by the end of the summer for sure. Just like the rest of the world! I'll show them all!" He started to launch into another air guitar solo, but Javi nudged him before he could get too into it.

"Right," Nimbus cleared his throat and continued. "I know the conditions aren't the best right now." He pointed up at the sky, as the rain was steadily getting heavier. "But it will be worth it, I promise! And we have a special surprise ready for you. Everyone gets their own Camp Ventallan umbrella!"

Javi opened the plastic bin and pulled out an umbrella, which he tossed to Nimbus. "Who doesn't like free merch?" he smirked. "And you just might make good use of some protection during your time here.

Nimbus caught the umbrella, opened it, and swung it around for the campers (and camera) to see. An electric guitar riff started playing from some tiny speaker hidden in the umbrella, sounding like an instrumental version of the show's theme song. The canopy of the umbrella was a dark blue-gray color, and it had a yellow lightning bolt pattern.

"We've worked hard to design custom umbrellas that we think represent you, and maybe there will be some… surprises wrapped up in them." Nimbus gave an exaggerated wink at the camera. "So let's get started! When Javi or I call your name, come and get your umbrella!"

Javi set the bin down by the cabin door, and it became clear that it had one umbrella for each of the campers. Nimbus grabbed several of the umbrellas to pass out, while Javi stayed with the bin.

"Alright, first up," Javi called out. "Naila Jaziri!"

A short and pudgy Arabic girl bounded over to Javi, rubbing her hands together eagerly. In fact, she was the shortest contestant in the cast, at an even five feet. "Let's see what we've got here ahahaha!" She had ruddy brown skin, and was wearing a puffy purple jacket and navy blue leggings with black boots. Her hair was black and fell in a straight bob, but the tips were bleached and dyed bright purple, matching her jacket.

Naila held out her plum-colored umbrella dramatically, with an unsettlingly wide grin on her face. "Heh, it's bad luck to open them inside, but bad luck to be out here on the deck in the rain. So let's get this over with," she said, but her tone was gleeful. However, when she opened her umbrella, a cloud of red glitter exploded in her face.

"Uy, that's my least favorite one." Javi shielded his eyes from the bright sparkles. "For the record, I ain't cleaning that up," he grumbled to Nimbus.

Naila brushed the glitter off of the canopy of the umbrella, and then she gasped when she saw that it looked like it had holes in it. "I'm exposed to the elements, what a tragedy! I'm doomed!" She grabbed at her throat, dropping the umbrella in the process, and dramatically fell to the ground. She stuck her tongue out, and for a moment, she was completely still.

Then one of her arms reached up and she threw a handful of the glitter into the air.

Javi shook his head wearily. "Next!" he called out and held out another umbrella. "Paradise Savea!"

A girl pushed to the front of the group of teens and stepped forward, quickly snatching her umbrella from Javi. She stood at 5'8", which made her slightly on the taller side in the group, with a slim build, and she appeared to be of Polynesian descent. She had dark skin and dark brown hair styled in dreadlocks, and her eyes were a piercing green. She wore a stylish magenta sundress with golden yellow accents, that would have made her look out of place at a summer camp, if it weren't for how they were somehow in perfect condition despite the rain.

"Would you get up from there? You're blocking the way." She poked at Naila, who was still lying on the dock, with her red high-heeled boot. "And you know those aren't real holes, right?"

"They… aren't?" Naila dropped her act and sat up, rubbing her head, and looked at the umbrella next to her. She saw that, in fact, the holes had simply been painted on. "Ahahaha good eye!"

"I notice lots of things. Like how you have glitter on your face," Paradise said disdainfully as she watched Naila brushing the red sparkles out of her hair. She quickly opened her own umbrella, revealing that it was an elegant deep purple color and had silver rhinestones on it. When she opened it, a gentle shower of white flower petals began to fall on her. Naila stuck her tongue out at Paradise, until she got one of the petals in her mouth, causing her to spit it out and pull a face.

Paradise simply took a step back and turned up her nose at the gesture. "Now, hold this, would you? I'm soaking here." She shoved her opened umbrella at the nearest person, a pale boy with hazel eyes and black hair in a bowl cut. He was lanky and stood at 5'10", just a few inches taller than her. He was holding the umbrella he had just received from Javi.

The boy gave a small bow of his head. "Why, of course! I'm always keen to savor any experience with this unusual weather!" When he spoke, he had a hint of a slight, strange accent, reflecting his mixed British and Chinese heritage. His own umbrella remained untouched as he held Paradise's purple umbrella over her.

After Paradise pulled out a compact mirror and fussed over her hair, she snatched her umbrella back out of the boy's hand, which caused him to look at her in surprise.

Surprisingly, Paradise cringed when she saw his reaction, seeming like she was going to apologize for a moment, but she didn't. "Are you… a scientist?" she asked finally as she looked him over, seeing how he was wearing a long white lab coat, clear safety glasses, and blue rubber gloves, making him look like he belonged in a chemistry lab. Underneath his lab coat, he had on a bright green shirt and darker green slacks, along with white and blue sneakers.

"Everyone is a scientist! After all, science is all that we live and breathe… but, yes I am!" he said proudly. "My name is Earl Ng-Meyer and it's a pleasure to meet you both."

With that, Earl opened his umbrella, revealing that the canopy was completely transparent, and it had a functioning anemometer installed on top of it. The instrument, which looked like a trio of small scoops connected to a central axle, suddenly turned on and it started to hum and spin as the wind blew through it. "Collecting data and sheltering from the elements in parallel, what an ingenious combination!" He watched the raindrops fall onto his umbrella while he was safely sheltered underneath it.

When Naila saw Earl open his umbrella, she stopped her seething and ran back over to him and Paradise. "Hah, I thought all of the umbrellas were gonna have a jump scare! Whatcha doing with that? …Ew, you're just writing, boooring," she scoffed.

Earl had pulled an entire full-size clipboard and a pen out of the deep pockets in his lab coat. And then, as an afterthought, he also grabbed a pair of white handkerchiefs to give to Paradise and Naila. "Would you ladies care to dry yourselves in the heavy precipitation?" he asked.

Paradise had just been watching, confused, as Earl opened his umbrella, but when he handed her the handkerchief, she took it without a word. "What are you even going to do with that information, it's just wind," she scoffed, before her expression softened slightly and she hesitated again. "...thank you," she said finally.

Naila also accepted the handkerchief, but she just stuck it into her jacket pocket. "Ooh, can you tell us when we're gonna have a hurricane?" she asked Earl. "It looks pretty when everything is flying everywhere… including me ahahaha!"

Earl looked a little sheepish as the two girls bombarded him with questions. "Well, if you wouldn't mind, I need to collect more data before I can come to a conclusion…" He trailed off, sticking his tongue out in concentration as he finished writing something on his clipboard. His umbrella was tucked in the crook of his arm as the anemometer continued to spin, the monitor displaying '14 knots.'

Paradise and Naila were left looking at each other in confusion. "Hey, you wanna see something really funny?" Naila asked Paradise, nudging her with an elbow.

Paradise still looked somewhat disdainful of Naila, and her eyes quickly caught that the prankster was holding a handful of the glitter from her umbrella behind her back. "No," she responded flatly, and Naila pouted.

Meanwhile, Nimbus was also handing out the personalized umbrellas to the campers. "Martin Cooper!" he called out. "Welcome to the greatest, most rockin' experience in your young, impressionable life!" he cheered, thrusting a white umbrella into the hands of a tall, slender boy with very pale skin and dyed silver-blue hair that was neatly parted in the middle, with not a strand out of place.

"Wouldn't it be more efficient for you to set up some kind of cover? Why do we all need individual umbrellas?" Martin wondered aloud. He seemed displeased by the rain regardless, and used one hand to dry his wire-rimmed glasses on the edge of his light gray sweater before putting them back on.

Javi heard him from across the deck. "Why, the little ingrates," he muttered under his breath. "You don't need to use it if you don't want it!" the mechanic hollered at him.

"No, I am more than happy to take this as a token of my time here," the blue-haired boy responded curtly. Standing at 5'11", Martin was one of the tallest campers, and his attire was formal, almost to the point of being pretentious. He had on a white collared shirt underneath his gray sweater, along with khaki pants held up by a brown belt and black loafers.

Martin opened up his umbrella in a single fluid motion, and saw that it was pure white with an elegant design of some flying birds. But when he did, a bunch of rocks fell out of it, flying directly at his face.

Javi let out a bark of laughter. Obviously he was the one responsible for this. However, his gleeful expression quickly turned to shock as Martin agilely ducked out of the way of the rocks and used his free hand to swat the rest of them out of the way, all while still holding up his umbrella. Though he did get some dirt on his sweater in the process, which he quickly brushed off.

"Duuude!" Nimbus cheered, making the sign of the horns at the impressive show of dexterity.

"I will admit I wasn't expecting the first test to be this soon," Martin said. "But I always remain en garde, so I can leave no room for mistakes."

Nimbus and Javi exchanged baffled glances at Martin's formal yet confident tone, before they were interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat.

"You don't need to watch him dancing around when we're all waiting here," a voice remarked. Nimbus turned to see a boy in a black bomber jacket approaching them, with his hand held out expectantly. He had golden tan skin and looked to be of mixed racial origin, part Puerto Rican and Filipino.

Javi was seething at the boy's rude tone, even if he was right, while Nimbus sheepishly pulled out the boy's umbrella and handed it to him.

He stood at a modest 5'6", a full head shorter than Martin, but he had a very athletic build, with broad shoulders and muscular legs. His jacket had an embroidered design of flaming wings on the back, and it was worn zipped about halfway over a white jersey, along with red and white running shorts and bright orange sneakers.

As he opened his umbrella, a loud bang sounded, almost like a starter pistol. "And Ignatius Vazquez is off to the races!" he declared as he struck a pose, whipping around his high black ponytail.

Martin ignored the comment but flinched when he heard the noise, immediately turning to look at the other boy and quirking an eyebrow at his flashy golden umbrella with a flame design around the edges, a strange oxymoron.

"Anyways, it's a mouthful, I know, call me Iggy." He smiled and extended his hand to Martin. The two boys locked eyes as they shook hands, Martin's cold blue eyes and Iggy's dark hazel green. "And you better remember it for when I win it all," Iggy added with a smirk.

"Martin," he responded simply, his expression remaining neutral. "And I assure you, I wouldn't be here if I didn't believe myself to be equipped for the competition. You're an athlete, I presume?"

"Oh, am I?" Iggy huffed. "I'm only the county record-holder for the hundred-meter dash and the hurdles race." He gave Martin a once-over. "But what would you know, you twig?"

Martin adjusted his glasses. "I practice fencing, actually."

"What kind? Picket? Chain link?" Iggy responded sarcastically.

"Good one," was Martin's immediate, deadpan, reply, though the corner of his mouth twitched upwards for a moment. "I prefer sports that require precision and control instead of raw strength," he remarked.

Iggy rolled his eyes, though a slight smirk began to form on his face and he seemed to pay the other boy more heed, almost looking like he was checking him out. Martin looked skinny, but he had some lean muscle to him, even if his covered outfit didn't do much to show it. "Well, we'll see who's the last one standing at the end of the summer," Iggy said finally.

"I am aware of the mental fortitude that a runner must possess." Martin gave Iggy a small nod. "I can only wish you the best of luck this summer, Ignatius." With that, he turned away and strode towards the bow of the ship. Iggy frowned at the use of his full name as he watched Martin leave.

"Celia Ruiz!" Javi called out, holding out a light gray umbrella with some colorful patterns on it.

A curvy Mexican girl with dark, curly hair that fell to her shoulder blades looked up as she was leaning against the railing on the edge of the deck. She had bronze skin and brown eyes, and there was a mischievous smirk on her face as she surveyed the scene on the deck. Despite being only 5'2", she held herself confidently, and her tough looking style added to the effect: an open red leather biker jacket over a white crop top, with a ripped pair of jeans and high black boots. "Alright, let's get this show started!" she cheered. "Throw it here!"

Javi obliged and tossed the umbrella at her. Celia caught it, before hopping up to sit on the railing while balancing herself.

"Ay, mija, get down from there!" Javi barked.

"Why should I?" Celia snapped in response as she swung her legs.

Javi just facepalmed. "Sure then, knock yourself out, kid. I'm not fishing you out if you fall," he muttered to himself.

"And Tanja Lenkov," Nimbus shouted, holding up a blue umbrella.

Another girl looked up from where she had been leaning against the wall to the ship's cabin, watching over the others with her arms crossed. She strode over when her name was called. She stood at 5'5", with a heavier but sturdy looking build, and her dirty blonde hair was in a shaggy pixie cut. She had lightly tanned skin and hazel eyes. Her attire was rather simple, a dark blue t-shirt and gray cargo pants, with brown work boots. A necklace with a pink feminist charm hung around her neck.

"Thank you Nimbus," Tanja said respectfully as she took her umbrella, but her furrowed brow and gruff voice made her sound more intimidating than intended. Then she spotted Celia sitting on the railing and her eyes widened. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?" she shouted, exasperated.

Celia scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Ugh, whatever, if you insist, mom." She swung herself down from the railing."Might as well check this thing out." She casually tossed her umbrella up in the air and caught it again, causing it to make a faint beeping sound, one that Tanja instantly picked up on.

Tanja's eyes widened. "Don't open that!" she yelled, pushing past Nimbus. The beeping continued to increase in volume and frequency as Tanja ran towards Celia with surprising speed and lunged to knock the umbrella out of her hand, but she was too late, and Celia's umbrella snapped open.

When it opened, a paint bomb exploded inside, splattering bright green paint all over both girls and further coloring the spray-painted umbrella.

Celia and Tanja both stared at each other for a moment. Tanja was glaring indignantly as she wiped her face, but Celia didn't seem bothered. And then she burst out into laughter. "Hah! Is that the best you got?" She held her umbrella up in the air, shaking it in Nimbus and Javi's direction, and the mechanic just gave her a smirk. The new splatters of paint on it seemed to fit right in.

Tanja seemed more unamused. "It seems both unfair and wasteful to pull a trick like that," she grumbled.

"Sure, but wasn't it fun?" Celia shot back.

"I was trying to protect you. It could have been toxic if it got in your eyes or you had ingested it, not to mention that I'm sure this paint is harmful to the environment."

"Oh, lighten up." Celia nudged her. "Or at least wait 'til you see what you get."

Tanja looked exasperated for a moment, but she finally gave in and nodded slowly. She opened her own umbrella, which was patterned like a globe, in blue and green.

"Oh, that's neat!" Celia commented.

But no sooner than the rebel had spoken, a giant boxing glove with a spring attached inexplicably popped out of Tanja's umbrella and flew directly at her chest. However, she blocked the punch with her free arm, causing the glove to make a sound like a deflating balloon and fly erratically around the ship until it fell in the ocean. "Unnecessary pollution," Tanja muttered to herself and shook her head.

"Dang, girl." Celia gave a low whistle. "Maybe you're not as lame as I thought," she laughed.

Tanja cocked her head, confused, and gave Celia a small smile. "Thank you… I think?"

"Next, Olivier Beaufort!" Nimbus called out.

"I… don't really use that name anymore," a small boy said softly, but immediately after that, he put on a bright smile as he bounded over to the rock star. "Hi Nimbus, you must be the ringmaster for this show! You can call me Ollie Warren!" Ollie grabbed his umbrella from Nimbus eagerly. "Does it usually rain a lot like this? Is it true that there are a bunch of shipwrecks in this area? Where are we gonna be staying?" He bounced up and down on the deck, all while twirling his umbrella around and tossing it from hand to hand as if he was juggling.

"Whoa, Ollie, slow down." Nimbus chuckled and held up a hand. "But I'm glad that someone's as pumped as I am to get this show started!"

Ollie grinned back at Nimbus. "I've never done anything like this, so I'm so excited to be here." His bright blue eyes sparkled with awe as his short, curly brown hair blew in the wind. Despite his short stature of 5'4", his frame was lean and muscular and he was clearly very agile. The rain didn't seem to bother him at all, even with the dapper looking red vest with decorative gold buttons that he was wearing, along with a black bow tie. Underneath, he had on a white dress shirt and black dress pants, as well as black pointed slip-on shoes, like a dancer or gymnast would wear.

Ollie finally opened his umbrella with a flourish, causing a little drumroll to echo around him, followed by a trumpet trill that played. His umbrella was striped red and white, almost like a circus tent, complete with a small decorative red flag on the top that flapped in the wind.

Watching Ollie was an androgynous looking teen who gleefully clapped their hands when he opened his umbrella. They had pale skin and wispy ash blonde hair in an undercut that was swept to one side, with dark blue eyes. Their yellow umbrella had already been shoved into one of the pockets of their beige trench coat that covered most of their slender frame, which they were wearing over a yellow t-shirt and navy blue leggings.

Then Ollie noticed them and bounded over, flashing them an excited grin. "Oh hi there! Ooh, are all of the umbrellas different? What did you get?"

"Um… well…" They looked at him and blinked, tugging at one of the buttons of their coat. They were only an inch shorter than Ollie, at 5'3", but their build was more slender and they seemed to shrink as Ollie approached them, and scuffed the deck with the toe of their black and yellow sneakers.

Ollie took a step back and facepalmed, and looked like he was calming himself for a moment, but when he spoke again, his tone was as energetic as ever. "Oh, I'm sorry, of course, I didn't introduce myself! I'm Ollie!"

"Kit," the teen in the beige coat responded. "Kit Sheppard." They turned their umbrella around in their hands, and they finally opened it. When they did, a small pair of pliers fell out, and their hand shot out to snatch it.

Ollie looked at Kit's umbrella, which was a bright yellow color and had a black stripe going around the edge, reminiscent of a construction sign. As Kit continued to fidget with their umbrella, the stripe suddenly lit up with multicolored LED lights, causing Ollie to gasp in amazement, but Kit was startled and nearly dropped the umbrella.

Then the acrobat finally noticed Kit's discomfort. He cocked his head. "Are you okay?"

They nodded vigorously. "Yeah!" they yelped in a high pitched tone, as the handle of the umbrella came off. "I'm okay. Very very okay." Their nimble fingers seemed to move of their own accord, as they got flustered further by Ollie watching them. All of a sudden, the entire umbrella had been dismantled, electronic lights and all, with the aid of the pliers.

"Whoa, how did you do that?"

Kit finally stopped their fidgeting and stared at the pile of metal joints and screws and the neatly folded fabric in their hands. They looked as surprised as Ollie was. "I dunno actually, I just guessed that the slide-y doohickey would come apart and the bendy thingamajig would unhook from the sparky bits, but I wasn't expecting there to be so many springs," they blurted out, somehow speaking even more quickly than Ollie's enthusiastic tone. They gave a small shrug before quickly sorting out some of the electronics and shoving them into their pockets. "I've neer seen how one works before. Thought that maybe learning 'bout it would be good for the game."

Ollie nodded earnestly. Kit seemed to know what they were doing, even though they had basically been speaking gibberish. "That's so smart!"

Kit promptly sat down right where they were standing, trying to put some parts of the umbrella's frame back together on their lap. "Gotta fix the rain shield," they murmured to themself. "Can't get my parts wet."

Ollie sat down next to them and Kit looked at him in surprise. He held out his umbrella for both of them with a friendly smile. "Can I watch you work?" he asked, leaning in a little too close, which caused Kit to get flustered and start fidgeting again, causing them to tangle their hands together with the wiring for the lights.

"Magnolia Reid!" Nimbus called out.

"It's Maggie," the girl huffed as she took her umbrella. She was a skinny 5'3" Caucasian girl with her brown hair done up in two small braided pigtails on the sides of her head. She was wearing a white blouse and a pink skirt, with silver slip-on shoes.

"I just hate the rain," Maggie whined and opened her umbrella, which was pale pink with a delicate lacy pattern, almost emulating a parasol. "Oh, this is actually really pretty!" she squealed as she huddled underneath the umbrella. But then, she heard a buzzing noise and a swarm of bees flew out of her umbrella.

"Bees!" Maggie shrieked. "I'm allergic to bees!" She began to run around the deck in panic as the bees chased after her.

Confessional: Maggie

She ran into the confessional room, looked from side to side frantically, and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw it was bee-free. She leaned against the wall and slid down it.

That was, until the swarm of bees flew into the confessional, and she ran out the door and back to the main deck, screaming all the while.

As Maggie ran, she suddenly tripped over something and fell on the ground. She had the wind knocked out of her and she paused for a moment to catch her breath.

However, once she finally sat up again, the first thing she realized was that the bees were gone, having moved on after she had stopped panicking.

The second thing she realized was that the thing she had tripped over was a person.

"Huh, what's going on now?" The small Indian boy who had been lying asleep on the deck sat up and rubbed his eyes.

That was when Javi threw an umbrella at him. "Drake Thakur, wakey wakey!"

Drake fumbled for his umbrella, but dropped it, and when the black umbrella fell onto his lap, it opened up on its own.

Drake stared at it for a moment, but then gave a small smile when he saw it. His umbrella had a pair of ominous looking yellow eyes and a mouth with fangs on it. "Whoa… that's neat." He reached to pick it up, and the umbrella's 'teeth' gnashed and it played a monstrous roaring noise, but he didn't flinch at all.

Maggie, on the other hand, looked positively horrified as she scooted away

"It's very realistic," Drake commented in a monotone.

"Realistic… to what?" Maggie asked nervously.

"My nightmares," Drake mumbled in response, seeming dead serious, causing Maggie's eyes to widen. He pulled his blue jacket tighter around himself, the only sign that he was at all affected by the rain.

Despite what he had just said, Drake didn't seem afraid, more just fascinated. He finally stood up and picked up his umbrella, revealing he was only 5'2" and looked very scrawny. Despite his dark complexion, the cooler tone of his skin suggested that he didn't get much sun, and there were bags under his brown eyes. However, he seemed rather protected from the elements, as beyond his jacket, he was wearing baggy light gray sweatpants, along with a white t-shirt with a design of a brown owl on it and dark red sneakers.

"I had a dream that a dragon wolf was drooling on me." Drake looked up at the sky and put out his hand to feel the raindrops fall.

"A what?" Maggie responded. "That sounds worse than bees."

"Oh, way worse. Their teeth are serrated, kinda like the barbs on a bee's stinger, so getting bitten by one would be like being stung by thirty bees at once. Not to mention their spit can give you third-degree burns. I dunno if that's worse than the amount of venom from thirty bees though…" Drake continued to ramble. His already rumpled black hair was getting wet and being whipped around in the wind as he held the umbrella out in front of him to examine it, seeming pretty unbothered by everything going on around him. "Also, dragon wolves can fly without breaking any laws of aviation," he added.

Maggie just continued to look somewhere between confused and horrified as she stared wide-eyed at the camera.

"Bees are venomous?" was all Maggie said.

"They're small so you don't feel it much, yeah. It only matters if there are a lot of them." Drake gave a shrug. "Bees are like siblings. They swarm you and try to overwhelm you with their numbers, and it gets worse if you panic. But they'll go away if you show them that you're not scared of them."

"Like siblings?" Maggie echoed. "That's… wow, that's one way to put it." She looked both concerned and intrigued, and was about to ask Drake further questions, when he yawned.

"Well, I'm going back to sleep." Drake turned away from Maggie. He lowered his head and closed his eyes and was soon sleeping standing up.

Confessional: Maggie

"Ohh, he can't just say that and leave me hanging!" She crossed her arms. "That's so rude! I have to have as much information as I can… especially since I'm no stranger to being swarmed by people and overwhelmed by their numbers," she deadpanned. She dramatically shook her fist at the camera. "But not anymore! You hear that, miss Helena Tero? I hope you feel good about yourself, because you'll regret ever messing with me, now that I'm here on TV competing for the million!"

"Well, that should be the last of them." Nimbus dusted off his hands after he had handed out the last umbrella.

Javi looked around, and saw that at this point, there were only two campers on the deck that weren't carrying open umbrellas (not counting Kit, who was still sharing Ollie's umbrella as they tried to put their own back together). "Oi, this is a mandatory camp activity, you all, get going!" He pointed at the pair.

However, Javi was surprised when he saw that both of the umbrellas were in the hands of one person, that being Helios Astaire, better known as Lio. He was currently huddled up with his twin sister Selene Astaire under the slight overhang of the boat's cabin as they discussed.

The two of them were of mixed ancestry, being part Caucasian and part African, but looked quite similar to each other, with olive skin, bright amber eyes, and thick, curly brown hair. They were the tallest male and female in the cast respectively, as Lio was 6'2" and Selene was an even six feet, but most of Lio's extra height came from his hair, which was cropped short with a flat top, and he had a dusting of freckles across his nose and cheeks. He was wearing an orange collared shirt with a black stripe on it, over a white long sleeved shirt, along with blue sweatpants and black slides. He had been watching each of the others open their umbrellas, and shook his head. "We have to be careful, Selene," he said to his twin. "This amount of disorder will cause tension between the others for sure, and we should stay away from it. I'll take care of this."

"Are you sure?" Selene asked, reaching for her umbrella. "I think I can handle this." However, Lio wouldn't let her take it. It was a funny sight, as Selene was far more broad and muscular than her brother, but Lio was confident and Selene just looked uncomfortable and worried. Her hair was long and pulled back into a loose ponytail, and her hands were shoved in the pockets of the purple hoodie she was wearing, which had a design of a star on the front. She also had on a pair of light gray sweatpants with a few multicolored patches from where they had been ripped in the past, along with black and white sneakers.

"Fine, I can do yours first," Lio said firmly, tucking his own umbrella under his arm and holding up Selene's dark blue umbrella, which was speckled with white. Upon closer examination, it was made to resemble the night sky. Selene frowned in annoyance but said nothing.

But as soon as he opened Selene's umbrella, he was hit in the face with a water balloon. He frowned. "I thought the point of an umbrella was to keep us from getting wet," he said indignantly, and spit out some water. "Is this from the ocean?"

"That's a solid maaaaybe," Javi responded."Is that a problem, kid?"

"Oh, not at all, Mr. Garcia." Lio's doubtful expression suddenly changed to a bright smile as he politely addressed Javi. "It's all part of the experience."

"Hah, I like this one! I can get used to this." Javi chuckled to himself.

Lio examined Selene's umbrella before finally handing it over to her. "Make sure you don't break it," he remarked to his twin. "I know Mr. Cloudbreak and Mr. Garcia worked hard, besides, it might be important in challenges.

Selene gave a determined nod. "Lio, I know how important this is. I won't mess up."

"Mr. Cloudbreak? I'm not that old," Nimbus murmured indignantly, but Javi just looked at him with a deadpan expression. "Anyways, get on with it, we're getting close." The rock star addressed Lio and Selene, ignoring Javi.

"Of course." Lio nodded earnestly and opened his own umbrella, but he was suddenly stopped in his tracks. "Yeowch!" His umbrella had a joy buzzer on the handle, and he was electrocuted when he tried to open it. Since he was still wet from Selene's umbrella, the shock coursed through his entire body. He toppled over onto the deck and groaned in pain, still clutching his open umbrella. It was sky blue with some cloud designs on it, mirroring Selene's night sky.

Confessional: Earl

"You see, it's a common misconception that water inherently conducts electricity," he began to explain. "When in fact, it's the ionic salts dissolved in it that allow it to carry a charge! That's why saltwater is a better conductor than freshwater! … and why Lio just made a big mistake by trying to diffuse both umbrellas. I think it's just so fascinating how those effects combine!"

He paused for a moment. "I hypothesize that he will be okay. But more data is required."

"Alright, we're all here and we're all dry," Iggy said, tapping a foot impatiently. "Are you gonna tell us about this competition?"

"Of course! Let me explain this game, the game of fame." Nimbus gave a cheesy grin and clapped his hands together, but he was suddenly interrupted by a flash of lightning, and he jumped about a foot into the air. The wind began to pick up more, and the campers let out a collective worried murmur. Some of the more frail campers even stumbled in a particularly strong gust. The only one unaffected was Drake, who had reduced his air resistance by lying flat on the deck with his umbrella covering him. He jolted awake with the next flash of lightning.

"W-whoa!" Kit lost their balance in the wind and nearly blew away. The entire handful of parts that used to make up their umbrella had been stuffed into their now bulging coat pockets.

"Gotcha!" Tanja grabbed the back of their coat and set them back down on their feet.

Meanwhile, Earl was frantically jotting some notes down on his clipboard. The anemometer on top of his umbrella was spinning furiously, and the digital display attached to the instrument simply read "!$#& knots."

Earl then thrust his clipboard at Nimbus. It was covered in a bunch of near-nonsensical calculations illustrated by a doodle of a stick figure flying a kite with a key attached to it, but he acted like it was a polished lab report. "Good sir, I have a hypothesis that we may have a violent tempest on our hands."

"We're all going to die!" Maggie shrieked. "I'm allergic to dying!"

"Ahahaha and what a way to go!" Naila cackled.

"Do something!" Paradise snapped at Nimbus.

Nimbus looked at the group of teenagers huddling in fear in the rain. Lio was clinging to Selene in fright, and Martin was covering his ears. The rock star glanced at the dark sky, then at the choppy ocean, and then back to the campers.

Nimbus glanced at Javi, but he only shrugged. "I doubt that we'll be able to dock when the sea is this rough."

"Well, we've got life rafts…" Nimbus finally said.

There were a few beats of silence as all of the campers stared at Javi and Nimbus in disbelief. Then the wind howled and the boat began to rock, sending everyone stumbling.

"Let's get out of here!" Iggy yelled. He ran for the two dinghies that were set up on the side of the boat, and the others soon followed.

"Alright kids, Javi will take half of you and I'll take the other half." Nimbus quickly got onto one of the dinghies, which was blue, and started up the small motor. The first group of campers frantically rushed to grab whatever luggage they needed and got onto the boat. "Let's go!" Nimbus yelled.

"Ooh, do you think there will be sharks?" Ollie asked as he leaned over the side of the dinghy.

"Sh-sh-sharks?" Kit said nervously, shrinking back from the edge.

"Dude, get back." Iggy grabbed the back of Ollie's vest and pulled him away from the edge as their boat set out for the shore.

Meanwhile, Javi was trying to arrange the stragglers on the other dinghy, which was bright yellow. "Oi, ándale! Earl, stop fiddling with yer notes, I hypothesize you'll be sleepin' with the fishes if you don't get in here quick!"

Tanja was carrying Drake on her back, as he had fallen asleep again. She jumped into the dinghy and looked worriedly over her shoulder. "Are we sure we have everybody?"

"Just go!" Paradise yelled at her, and Tanja hesitated before jumping into the dinghy, and Javi pushed them off.

The campers were tossed around in the storm, with the weak motors on the flimsy dinghies not doing much to help them.

Selene looked down at the bottom of the blue dinghy, and saw that a small hole had opened up. Water began leaking in through the bottom of the dinghy. She gulped and stomped on the hole, only to send the boat rocking and cause another hole to spring up.

"Selene, stop- …I can fix it!" Lio shouted when he saw the leak.

Confessional: Lio

"Selene is breaking things all the time, so of course I know how to patch stuff up," he said proudly. He was still looking a little bit charred from his earlier shock.

Confessional: Selene

"It was an accident…" She looked at her feet. "I guess I wasn't strong enough."

"You can use this thingy!" Kit perked up when Lio mentioned fixing things. They pulled a bunch of tools and parts out of their coat, including the gutted remains of their umbrella. The two of them worked together to patch the hole in the dinghy using the canopy of what used to be Kit's umbrella.

"There's the island up ahead." Martin pointed into the distance, and soon the island of Ventallan came into view for everyone on the yellow dinghy.

"Um, guys?" Maggie pointed at a massive wave that was looming over them.

"Brace yourselves!" Tanja yelled.

The wave crashed down, and the campers all screamed as they were carried all the way to shore. When the dinghies washed up to the beach, an Afro-Caribbean woman came running over to them, holding her white chef's hat to her head as it was in danger of blowing away. She had dark skin and hazel eyes, and her frizzy black hair was pulled into a bun underneath her hat.

"You're late!" she shouted. "Oh my, you all must be so cold and wet!" She put a hand on her heart, over the navy blue apron she was wearing, which had the same Stormbound logo as Javi on the pocket, in addition to some embroidered flowers. Underneath, she had a pink long-sleeved shirt, gray yoga pants, and black shoes. This was Sophie Cole. Planted next to her on the beach were two flags, one blue and one yellow.

"You had me so worried," Sophie said sternly as she rushed to help all the contestants out of the dinghies. "Please tell me you took good care of the kids." She glared at Nimbus and Javi.

"You know you can count on us!" Nimbus responded indignantly.

At that moment, Selene accidentally bumped the motor of his blue dinghy, causing it to start smoking, and the entire thing deflated and flattened. The rock star chuckled nervously.

"How convenient," Javi remarked as he looked at the yellow and blue dinghies, which were in the exact same shades as the two flags. "It looks like we have our two teams."

The campers in both dinghies exchanged glances. Near the (flat) blue dinghy, Iggy smirked confidently at his team, and by the yellow dinghy, Martin looked a little more skeptical of the people around him.

Confessional: Javi

As promised, now that the group was on dry land, the confessional had been relocated to a cramped outhouse, where Javi sat with his arms crossed. "Yeah, I figured that the kids would arrange themselves into good teams… actually I didn't, but it's a half hour show here, we're not going to split them up again when there are so many more… interesting things that we can do with them."

"That means, on the blue team!" Nimbus called out. "We'll have Celia, Iggy, Kit, Lio, Ollie, and Selene." He pointed to the blue flag, which had an emblem of a dragon's head, with scaly fins and horns, decorated with raindrops falling around it. "You are now the Deluge Dragons!"

Lio and Selene high-fived, only for Lio to cringe with how hard Selene had hit his hand.

"Whoa, dragons!" Ollie cheered.

Confessional: Celia

"Um, yeah, dragons are badass, yes, please." She smirked. "I made a mural of one once. Then the janitor found me and told me to get down from the school roof. Someone snitched, I bet, and I'll fuck them up if I find 'em out."

"And on the yellow team," Nimbus continued, turning to the other dinghy. "Drake, Earl, Maggie, Martin, Paradise, and Tanja." He gestured to the yellow flag, which had an emblem of a gryphon's head, an eagle-like bird with a lion's mane, decorated with swirls of wind around it. "You are now the Gale Gryphons!"

There was a lot less enthusiasm with this team, but Tanja gave her new teammates an appreciative nod.

"I see no basis in science for this creature, but there's a novel compound," Earl remarked.

Confessional: Earl

"Do you think the gryphon was ever bullied for being not lion enough and not eagle enough?" he wondered, frowning slightly as he looked down at the ground. "…my inquiry is only for science, I'm okay, I promise."

Confessional: Tanja

"I can't shake the feeling that we're missing something…" she said, frowning deeply.

Confessional: Naila

She was still in the confessional aboard the cargo ship, wandering around below decks. "Um, guys?" she called out. "This isn't funny!" She stomped her feet like a child throwing a tantrum, until she kicked one of the crates and the lid popped off.

Naila stood on her tiptoes to peer into the large crate, and her angry expression slowly morphed into a wide grin. "Oh, I'll show them."

"Wait a second, diez, once, doce…" Javi muttered to himself as he counted the contestants. "Oi, Nimbus, we're missing one."

"Oh heavens." Sophie rubbed her temples.

Just then, the cargo ship was struck by lightning and it promptly went up in flames.

"It's too early to have a Viking funeral!" Celia pounded her fist in her palm and looked about ready to run back to the one remaining dinghy and go back to the ship. Selene gave an emphatic nod in agreement, but Lio got between the two and put his arms in front of them before they could enact their rescue mission.

"It's too dangerous, we shouldn't do anything reckless." Lio gave a pointed glance at his twin specifically. "Now, listen to me, let's all-"

"We're missing the girl with the purple hair," Paradise cut in, from her place standing with the Gryphons.

"Why didn't you say anything earlier?" Tanja glared at her.

"Would you rather we all got stuck on the ship?" Paradise snapped back at her.

Tanja opened her mouth to respond, but she was interrupted by a loud explosion coming from the wreckage of the ship, almost like… fireworks?

"Everybody get down!" Kit shouted, curling up into a ball with their hands over their head.

And then a purple blur shot up into the air above the ship, soaring over the water and towards the dock. A bunch of fireworks were set off from the ship as it continued to smoke.

"Whoa! This must be what independence feels like ahahaha!" Naila screamed as she hurtled through the air with fireworks strapped to her back. In midair, she opened her umbrella, which was still leaking glitter everywhere, and tried to use it like a sail to steer herself towards the others. She finally landed headfirst in the yellow dinghy, which thankfully cushioned her fall.

Sophie ran over to help her up, but she was laughing. She threw glitter in the air, pretending it was blood, and fireworks continued to go off from the sinking cargo ship in the background.

As Nimbus and Sophie were trying to keep the rest of the campers calm, one of the firework rockets suddenly arced past the beach and into the woods, causing an explosion in the distance. "Joder," Javi suddenly swore and ran off in a panic. "No, no, no!" He ran up the wooden stairs, away from the beach, and down the dirt path into the woods.

"Wait, what's going on?" Naila closed her umbrella and ran after him. Despite her energy, she had a hard time keeping up with her short legs, and she was panting when she finally reached him. They were at the edge of the woods, where a trailer had been stationed.

"Alright gremlin, you're in big trouble." Javi pointed at Naila.

"Ahahaha that's a funny prank… what's going on?"

"Care to explain this?" Javi pointed angrily at the massive hole that was blasted through Javi's trailer, like a rocket had cleanly gone in through the side and out through the opposite wall.

"That looks… awesome!" Naila broke out into a wide grin.

At this point, Nimbus and the rest of the contestants had all made it over to Javi's trailer. "What's going on?" Nimbus asked as he jogged over to Javi, and his eyes widened when he saw the hole. "Oh shi-" He was cut off when Sophie covered his mouth.

Javi glowered. "Naila, that's it. You've been disqualified from Total Drama Stormbound."

"I'm… what?"

"You wandered below decks when you shouldn't have, disobeyed me and Nimbus, and caused a lot of property damage," Javi listed out.

Naila's eyes widened. "Lucky number thirteen ahahaha! I hope I got cursed, that would be hilarious!" She rubbed her hands together.

"But that's not all," Javi added. "You're gonna have to pay for the damages."

Naila's smile faded at that and she gulped. "How much?" Javi whispered a number in her ear and she paled. "That's impossible, there's no way!" she shook her head and thought for a moment. "... I guess I'm gonna have to auction a kidney then!" she concluded.

Sophie gasped. looked nauseous at that.

Nimbus held up a finger. "Well, there is one more option." He quickly huddled up with Sophie and Javi as they discussed for a moment, as Naila stood by nervously.

Then, Javi approached Naila. "Gremlin. You are now an intern." He handed the prankster a roll of duct tape. "You better get to work patching this up. It's in the contract."

"Whatcha got in that trailer that's so important?" Naila asked. She seemed to already be over her disqualification.

Javi chuckled to himself. "You'll see."

While Javi and Naila discussed the new arrangement, Nimbus and Sophie led the rest of the campers away. "Well, the show's gotta keep rockin'!" Nimbus declared, but it was clear he was a little bit frazzled. "Now, who wants a tour?"

"Me! Me!" Ollie jumped up and down. Meanwhile, Drake was still asleep and being carried by Tanja. All the other campers fell between the two of them on the energy level spectrum, but overall, they looked pretty wet, cold, and tired, as they followed Nimbus.

There were two cabins, one for the boys and one for the girls. The blue flag of the Dragons and the yellow flag of the Gryphons were both flying in front of the mess hall, which was between them. The three buildings were arranged in a semicircle around a clearing where the campfire pit was. On the other side of the semicircle was a wooden stage with some fairy lights set up, but the lights had been blown around by the wind and only about half of them were working.

"It's been a long journey, but we made it. Welcome… to Camp Ventallan!" Lightning flashed dramatically behind Nimbus.

Confessional: Iggy

He had his arms crossed, a smug smile on his face. "So it looks like one of us is down already. It was a careless mistake that led to an unfair elimination; I'm not going to argue with that. But life isn't meant to be fair, so I'm happy to take whatever advantage comes my way."

Confessional: Tanja

"I've failed already," she murmured as she looked down at her sweater, which was still stained with paint from Celia's umbrella. "I'm relieved that nobody was severely hurt, but I will need to do better."

Tanja finally gave a heavy sigh, before putting up her normal determined front again. "…I need to get changed."

Confessional: Paradise

"The other team looks a lot stronger than we are," she mused. "Martin seems to have some sensory issues, and Maggie is just… afraid of everything. Tanja was pretty shaken after, well, everything that happened, but I guess I can't blame her. I've relied on people all my life, and I think it's time for me to become more independent."

Nimbus watched the twelve remaining campers take their bags to their cabins, while Naila was in the background working on the trailer. She had stuck the end of a roll of duct tape to one end of it, and was now running in a circle around the trailer to wrap the entire thing in tape.

Javi's eyes widened when he realized what Naila was doing. "Oi, be gentle with that!" He ran after her, leaving Nimbus looking at the camera.

"After some… minor setbacks, we've made it to Camp Ventallan and formed our two teams, and things are just getting started!" the rock star narrated. "But will these guys be able to cooperate? Just what is Javi working on in his trailer? What do we have in store for our campers in their first real challenge? Find out next time, on Total! Drama! Stormbound!"
