A Shrunken Problem

Hello everyone, and welcome back to The Owl House: The Bro Files. In this chapter, we will see more Carlos and Emira moments, a lot of shrinking and Eda doing work in a carnival. Let's see how this all works out, shall we?

Also, I just decided to just work on the rest of season one of the show for this story, then take a break from this to work a little on my other stories. Anyway, hope you all enjoy and let's get on with this chapter.

We start off in the owl house, as Carlos was reading some school books, Eda was cooking and Luz was talking with Willow and Gus over the crystal ball.

"So, they said I couldn't remove my thumb, but look at that." Luz said, as she showed Willow and Gus the removable thumb trick. Carlos couldn't help but to roll his eyes and chuckle at that.

"You sliced it off! You sliced off your own thumb!" Gus exclaimed, believing Luz cut her thumb off.

"It's just a trick, Gus. She really didn't cut her thumb off." Carlos explained. Willow laughed at the bit.

"You make doing homework actually fun." She told Luz.

"And they say humans can't do magic." Luz smugly said.

"Luz..." King said, as he got on the table. "You've been talking to them all morning. Don't forget the Luz and King Comedy Hour."

"Please, no. Not the comedy hour." Eda said to herself.

"This week, I've been working with props." King said, as he put an empty toilet paper roll on his snout. "Oh. Dear. I've gotten a tube stuck on my nose. Will I ever eat again? Looks like I'm toast." He said, putting his face through a piece of bread. This made Luz laugh.

"It just goes on like this for an hour." Eda said, the last part loudly.

"This is one of the things you were getting yourself into when you let us live here. Now you have to deal with it." Carlos told her. This made Eda groan.

"Hey, you doughboy. Quit loafing around." Luz joked.

"Why don't you bake me?" King joked back. The both laughed at that. That's when an alarm went off, letting them know it was time for school.

"School time. See you guys in class." Luz said to Gus and Willow.

"Bye/But what about the thumb?" Gus and Willow said, as Luz hung up.

"Guess we better get going." Carlos said, packing up his school supplies. King sighs at Luz and Carlos leaving, mostly Luz.

"Hey, don't worry. We'll finish our comedy hour when we get home. Mwah." Luz told King, giving him a kiss on the head as she got up to leave.

"Oh, you." King giggled.

"Try not to miss me while I'm gone." Lus said, as she left with Carlos. King the got off the table and went to the door, acting like a dog.

"You... You really think she's coming back this time?" King asked, worried about mostly Luz.

"Yes, she'll come back. She always comes back with Carlos. Cute that you miss her, though." Eda said.

"The King of Demons misses nobody." King told Eda, as he took the bread off his head. "I wouldn't care if she came through this door right now." Just as he said that, Luz came through the door with Carlos in tow.

"Hey, you're..."

"You're back!" King exclaimed, interrupting Eda. He then climbed to the top of Luz's head. "I didn't miss you at all."

"Sure looks like you didn't." Carlos joked.

"Apparently, there's an infestation of pixies at Hexside, so school's been canceled." Luz explained.

"That sounds like a crumby situation." King joked, as he and Luz both laughed at the joke. Even Carlos couldn't help but to chuckle at that one.

"Hey, guess what's been in my mouth that I'm about to throw up?" Hooty asked, as he then starts retching. Everyone looked on in disgust, as he threw up a bunch of letters and a package. "The mail!"

"You keep finding new ways to weird me out, Hooty." Carlos told the owl-worm-like demon. Eda nonchalantly picks up the mail and looks through it.

"Junk, junk. Death-hex." She said, tossing that mail into the trashcan, making it magically implode on itself. She then pulled out a postcard for a carnival. "Oh, a carnival's in town today."

"A carnival? You know, I've been busy with school lately, what do you say we take this comedy hour on tour? It will be a Luz and King day." Luz said to King.

"That's my kind of day." King excitedly said, happy to be hanging out with Luz.

"While you two do that, I'm gonna go ask Emira if she'd like to go with me to the carnival." Carlos said, as he heads out the door to go see Emira.

"Why don't you come with us, Eda." Luz said, putting her arm around the witch's shoulder.

"An adventure with friends. I'll go pack my stuff." Hooty excitedly said, as he left the room.

"Carnivals bring crowds and crowds bring suckers. This could be the perfect chance to try out my new get-witch-quick scheme. I'm in. To the carnival!" Eda exclaimed.

"To the carnival!" Both Luz and King repeated in excitement, as they all left for the carnival.

"Good news. I'm bringing my knapsack full of games. Hello?" Hooty said, as he then realized he's been left alone. He then noticed a fly buzzing around." Oh, a fly! Talk to me! Talk to me!"

We're now at the Bonesborough carnival, where we see Eda, Luz and King arrive. Carlos and Emira arrived a few seconds behind them.

"Well, here we are, kids. Look at all the fresh meat." Eda said, reffering to the carnival goers.

"What does she mean by that?" Emira asked Carlos.

"She sees everyone as a potential customer. You'll get used to it." Carlos told her.

"And smell all the fresh meat." Luz said, as she sniffed the air and a fly flew up her nose. Luz starts coughing, as the fly came back out of her mouth. "Fun."

"Gross." Emira said, amused at Luz's antics.

Owlbert knew they were at a carnival, as he tried to detatch himself to go play games, but was stopped by Eda.

"No games for you, Owlbert. We've got scams to run." She told him. Owlbert hoots sadly at that.

"Well, Emira and I are off to enjoy ourselves. I would say not to get into trouble, but knowing Eda, trouble will find her." Carlos joked, which got a laugh from Emira. They both then went off to enjoy their date.

"You know, I would get mad at him for saying that, but I will let him enjoy his date." Eda said.

"Friends, welcome." Came a familiar voice to Eda, Luz and King. Tibbles then appears next to them, as they all gasp and got in attack stances. "I see you got my postcard."

"Tibbles, you sent this?" Eda asked, pulling out the postcard from earlier, to which Tibbles nonverbally admitted.

"Aren't you mad at us for destroying your stand?" Luz asked, reffering to the time of the moonlight conjuring.

"Oh, and destroying his life. That was the best part." King added in.

"No, no, no. I should be thanking you. After my stand was destroyed, I reevaluated my life and found my true calling. I'm now ringmaster of... Tibbles's Tent of Tiny Terrors." Tibbles said, revealing his attraction.

"Aw! It's like a regular circus, but adorobly small." Luz gushed once she saw two small Unicorns, a small Griffon and a small Manticore in a glass cage. "You're my friends now."

"I don't buy it." Eda said, not believing Tibbles. "What kind of con are you running?"

"No cons here, Owl Lady. Only pros. In fact, why don't we toast our newfound friendship with this totally innocent bottle of water?" Tibbles asked, pulling out a big purple vial with a glowing pink liquid inside.

"Oh, yeah, sure. Why don't I just..." Eda said, taking the bottle from him and pretended to take a drink, only to toss the bottle and it hit someone on the head.

"I'm okay." The random guy yelled.

"I know poison when I see it. You can't scam a scammer. Now, speaking of scams... Beat it, loser." Eda said, as she walked up to one of the stands and knocked off the contents, making the stand her own.

"Step right up to... Eda's Human Horror House. Humans shed their skin and I've got proof." Eda said, as she magically decorated the stand with human things. She then held up some stockings, thinking it was actual human skin.

"You should really put a lock on your closet." King told Luz.

"You know what, Eda can pick through my socks all she wants. Because today is all about having a great time with my partner in crime." Luz said, putting an arm around King.

"That's me. I love crime." King excitedly said. The two then went off to have their fun.

With Carlos and Emira, they were wandering around the carnival, wondering what to do first.

"So, what do you think we should do first?" Carlos asked.

"Let's go on the Bumper Carcasses." Emira said, as she took his hand and led him to the Bumper Carcasses. Once there, they got on the ride with a few other witches and demons that were in line, as they had a fun time on there.

When they got off the Bumper Carcasses, they head over to the House of Mirrors. When they went through it, Carlos saw the mirrors magically made them look different. Once they exit the Hall of Mirrors, Emira saw a Photo Booth and led Carlos over to it.

Like the average Photo Booth, it took five photos of the two. The first four photos were of them making goofy faces, but the last photo was of Emira kissing Carlos on the cheek and he blushed from it, mostly because he wasn't expecting this kiss.

Back with King and Luz, they were wandering around and passed by a dunk tank, to where a skeleton was dunked in and apparently grew skin when he came out.

"Now this is my kinda weird. So, what do you wanna do first?" Luz asked King. "We could brave the Molar Coaster or eat a mysterious blob..."

"Oh, what's that?" King asked, interrupting Luz. He ran over to a prize tent and looked at two friendship bracelets that had shapes of half a heart on each of them. "Huh. Some kind of deadly string weapon."

"No, silly. That's a friendship bracelet." Luz told him.

"Is that a type of deadly weapon?" King asked out of curiousity.

"A weapon of love. It's basically a declaration to the whole world that you're the best of friends." Luz told him, demonstraiting how they worked while holding them.

"Oh-oh. That's way safer than becoming blood brothers. Luz, we must have those bracelets!" King exclaimed.

"And... Yoink. Sorry, ma'am. If your bone son wants these bracelets, you have to play the games and win the tickets. You know, carnival rules." The man running the prize stand said, taking the friendship bracelets away from Luz.

"Beat up the man and steal his things for me." King whined.

"Or let's just play the games." Luz suggested.

"Oh, okay." King said. They both laughed and went to play some games while chanting games, until they suddenly ran into Gus and Willow. This made Luz gasp.

"Friends!" She exclaimed, happy to see them.

"Hey, Luz." They greeted, hugging her.

"Oh, my gosh. I didn't think I'd see carniv-y'all here." Luz joked.

"Boo." Gus booed.

"I got an invitation from Tibbles." Willow said, showing the invitation she got.

"We figured it's a trap since we squashed his stand with a walking house." Gus started.

"But who cares? This place has a Scarris wheel." Willow excitedly added in.

"It's like a human Ferris wheel, but it gives you long-lasting nightmares." Gus finished.

"Yes! This mama is ready for trauma." Luz excitedly said.

"Ahem." King cleared his throat, reminding Luz he was there.

"Oh, yeah. We're on a very important quest to win a special prize for King." Luz told her friends.

"Oh, we could help with that." Willow offered.

"Aw. Does the wittle guy wanna win a prize? Does he? Does he?" Gus asked while talking to him like a baby.

"What do you think, King? The more the merrier, huh?" Luz asked King.

"Um, sure. Whatever you want, Luz." King reluctantly answered, as he only want to hang out with Luz.

"Alright, approval!" Luz said excitedly. That's when Carlos and Emira walked up to them while eating some Rotten Candy.

"Hey, guys. How's it going?" Carlos asked.

"Going good. Just gonna go play some carnival games to win some friendship bracelets for King." Luz told him.

"Aw, isn't that sweet." Emira cooed, booping King on the nose.

"Guess we'll leave you to it, then. We're heading to the Molar Coaster then the Scarris wheel." Carlos said, as he and Emira went to have their fun.

"Good luck, guys!" Emira called back.

We then have a little montage of Luz having fun with Gus, Willow and King. The first thing they did was play the Boiling Isles version of Skee ball, where there was a face where six holes would be and they got the ball in the mouth.

The next thing they did was take a picture in a photo cutout board, where Luz, Willow and Gus were clowns, while King was apparently a trashcan. Luz, Gus and Willow then each took a bite of a fried orb, but left none for King.

They were then at the Pop the Polyp stand, where Luz, Gus and Willow were talking about the pixie infestation at Hexside, which was cause by Bascha's pet pixie. King was trying to play the game at the stand, but he was too small to see the targets.

"Curse these stubby legs!" King yelled in frustration when he tried hopping on the counter but fell off. King then stood up and saw Luz was having much more fun with her friends than him, which made him sad and he walked off.

Back with Carlos and Emira, they had a fun time on the Molar Coaster while also having a scare on the Scarris wheel. Once they got off the Scarris wheel, they both looked horrified, though Carlos looked more horrified than Emira.

"Well, I'm gonna have nightmares for a while now." He said.

"Yeah. But at least we'll be with each other when we do have nightmares." Emira told him. Carlos then had an idea.

"Hey, wanna play some games for a while to win some prizes?" He asked.

"Yeah, that sounds like fun." Emira said, as they ran off to play some carnival games.

Back with King, he was sitting all alone and sad in front of a fortune teller booth. He had hoped this would be a day for him and Luz, but for him, it got ruined by Willow and Gus showing up. He then let out a sigh.

"Oh, my, my, my. You seem troubled." Came a voice from behind King.

"Huh? Who said that?" King asked, as he stood up to look behind him.

"It is I, Obvioso, the all-seeing psychic." Tibbles said, as he was pretending to be Obvioso and King was kinda skeptical about his appearance.

"Haven't I seen you somewhere? It's almost so..."

"Obvious?" Tibbles asked, finishing King's sentence.

"That's what I was gonna say. Wow. You really are a psychic." King said, believing he was an actual psychic.

"You're right. And Obvioso can see that something is bothering you, little friend." Tibbles said, which King gave a sigh.

"You got my number, Obvioso. Today was supposed to be about me and Luz, see? But now she's distracted by her cool new school friends." King told him.

"What if I were to tell you that there was a way to make all those problems disappear?" Tibbles asked.

"I'd say that sounds illegal. I would also say go on." King said. Tibbles went into the booth and came right back out with the same bottle of liquid from before, but it had a spray bottle nozzle on the top of it.

"Behold." Tibbles said, as he sprayed a weird flying demon with the liquid and it disappeared in flames.

"Holy bones! You poofed it. Call the cops! This guy's crazy!" King yelled in panic, as he thought Tibbles as Obvioso killed a creature. This got a slight laugh out of Tibbles.

"Hey. The spray is only temporary. I just give my cheeks a tap and then..." Tibbles gave his cheeks a tap and the winged creature came back. "It returns safe and sound. Take this." Tibbles gives King the bottle.

"Enjoy the carnival without the problems. Luz, Willow and Gus will be none the wiser." Tibbles said.

"Whoa. You even know their names. Guess there's no use arguing with a fortune-teller. Thanks, Obvioso." King thanked, as he walked off with the bottle of liquid.

When King was a good distance away, Tibbles pulled off the fake mustache and did an evil laugh. He then stopped the evil laugh and held the mustache on his face when King came back for a follow-up question.

"Hey, side note, in the future do I find love?" He asked.

"Uh, yes." Tibbles said, to which King gave an excited giggle.

"Hmm. Maybe I should think about this first." King said while holding the spray bottle and on his way back to Luz and her friends.

"King! Sorry we lost you back there, little dude." Luz said, as she came running up to King with Willow and Gus.

"Hey, it's okay. Let's go back to the games and win those bracelets." King said while grabbing Luz's hand to take her to the carnival games.

"But we haven't gone on any rides and there's no line for the bumper carcasses." Gus interjected, grabbing Luz's arm.

"Games!" King argued.

"Carcasses!" Gus shot back.

"Games!"

"Carcasses!"

That's when they both heard Luz's stomach growling from hunger.

"Food! I'm gonna grab some rotten candy while you guys figure this out. Bye!" Luz said, as she went off to get some food.

"When Luz comes back, let's go on the three-man cauldron spinner." Willow suggested.

"Or the triple swing." Gus added.

"Oh, and that's close to those photo booths that can fit exactly three people." Willow finished.

"But today was me and Luz's day." King dejectedly said.

"Aw. Does the little baby boo miss his buddy Luz? Does he? Does he?" Gus asked, picking King up and talking to him like a baby again.

"The King of Demons misses nobody. I demand you put me down!" King grunts while trying to get away from Gus. While King struggled to get away, the phany pack he was wearing opened up and the bottle he got fell out and sprayed Gus and Willow on the legs when it hit the ground.

"What?" Both of them asked, as they both then disappeared in flames. This made King fall to the ground.

"Oh, no! What have I done?" King asked very panicky. That's when Luz came back, not aware of what really happened.

"Wow. I guess they really wanted to ride those bumper carcasses." She said while holding some rotten candy.

"Actually, Luz, there's something I gotta tell you." King said, as he was about to admit what really happened.

"No. There's something I gotta tell you, King. I said I'd help you win those friendship bracelets. So win them we shall, okay?" Luz asked.

"Uh, Willow and Gus will be okay for a little while, right?" King asked himself in a whisper.

"What was that?" Luz asked.

"Nothing. Now let's go." King said while chuckling, as he grabs Luz by her free hand and leads her to play some carnival games.

"Ready or not, here we crumb." Luz said, making a pun.

"Yes!" King said, chuckling at the joke. Unbeknownst to King, Willow and Gus didn't actually disappear. We pan down to see they have actually shrunk down to be bug-sized.

"First, I'm growing out of my clothes. Now I'm shrinking? Dang, puberty. You're the craziest coaster of them all." Gus said, blaming the shrinking on puberty.

"Ugh." Willow groaned at his naivety.

Back with Carlos and Emira, we see they had won a big pile of tickets from the many games they played.

"Man, you're pretty good at the games here." Emira said, impressed at the amount of tickets they won.

"Thanks. I've had a lot of practice from the carnivals back in the human realm. Granted, those carnivals aren't as interesting as this one, but they do have their charms." Carlos gloated.

"I see. Maybe you could take me to one whenever I visit the human realm." Emira suggested for a future date.

"Yeah, that sound good." Carlos agreed. That's when they ran into Luz and King again. "Hey, guys. Where's Willow and Gus?"

"Oh, they decided to go on some of the rides without us as I help King get his friendship bracelets." Luz said.

"Oh, you still haven't got them yet?" Emira asked.

"Nope, though I see you guys won some tickets yourselves." Luz said, noticing their tickets.

"Yeah, and it's all thanks to this guy." Emira said, pointing to Carlos.

"Heh, all that practice back home." Carlos said.

"Cool. King and I are gonna win our own tickets now." Luz said, as she and King said goodbye to Carlos and Emira.

Back with Willow and Gus, they were still shrunken and had to figure out away to get back to normal size.

"What happened to us? Did I black out on the molar coaster again?" Gus asked, blaming it on blacking out.

"Sketchy carnival rides are not to blame this time. King had something in his pouch that made us small." Willow told Gus.

"And I just got tall enough for the rides!" Gus sobbed. Willow noticed footsteps heading towards them, as a shadow loomed over them. She looked over to see the same creature Tibbles shrank then regrew.

"Gus..." Willow warned him of the creatures presence. They they ran as the creature tries to eat them. They found a styrofoam cup and hid in it by covering themselves with it.

"I think we're safe for now." As soon as Gus said that, the creature poked three holes through the cup with its tongue to try and find them.

"Enough of this!" Willow said, as her eyes glowed with frustration. She used her plant magic to wrap some vines to the creatures tongue. This made the creature fall over with the cup in its mouth, as they ran away.

"Quick! We have to find Luz and get her attention before anymore carnival animals hunt us down." Willow said. She then grabbed a bit of rotten candy they were standing next to and started whistling to get the attention of a fly. She threw it on the ground for the fly.

"Eat up, my steed. Lead us to safety." Willow said, getting on the fly's back.

"It's so hairy. Why is it so hairy?" Gus said, disturbed the fly being hairy.

"Because up close, everything is hairy." Willow said, as she grabbed Gus as the fly started flying away.

"Whoa!" Gus exclaimed while being grabbed.

We head back to Eda, as we see she was starting to gain some notice for her attraction.

"Round as the moon, her ears are, with mood swings as terrifying as night itself. Now, who wants to touch an outdated human referance?" Eda asked, as she pulled out a blue fidget spinner and spun it in her hand. The demons there were eager to buy it.

"Okay, show's over. This witch doesn't have a license." A gruff, masculine voice said, as the customers scattered out from there.

"Uh, what are you? The fun police?" Eda asked.

"Yes!" The guy said, as he squeaked his badge that said 'fun police.' We then see he was dressed up like a clown mixed with a police officer. "And you're coming with me!"

"Uh, excuse me, sir. I'd like to have a word with your staff." Eda quipped while pulling out her staff. She then noticed Owlbert wasn't at the end of the staff. "Owlbert. Owlbert! Where are you?"

We cut over to see Owlbert playing a game called 'Whack-A-Giraffe,' to which he was doing pretty well.

"Owlbert, you're lucky I can't be mad at your adorable antics." Eda said, as she hopped over the counter and tried running away. She didn't get far, as she ran into the rotten candy machine.

"Hey, I caught her." The man running the rotten candy machine said. The fun police used magic to pull Eda out of the machine, as she had rotten candy all in her hair, making it look like her hair.

"I hate carnivals." Eda grumpily said.

We go back to Luz and King, as we see a montage of them pass by the prize stand to go play games. We see them play skee-ball, as they won some tickets from there. As they were playing, Willow and Gus were following them to try to get their attention.

We then see Luz play some ring toss. As she threw the ring, the bottle moved out of the way from the ring. The guy running the stand made a gesture of 'better luck next time.' King then put one of the rings on him, as it was the brain guy with a gelatonous body we seen once before and the guy gave them some tickets.

We now get back to Willow and Gus, who almost catch up to Luz and King and were out of breath.

"We can't keep doing this." Gus said between breathless pants. Willow then gasped, as she saw the house of mirrors and had a plan.

"We won't have to for much longer." Willow said.

Back with Eda, she now had been tied up and was at the fun police station, which she wasn't too happy about.

"Just when I thought I couldn't respect the law any less... it surprises me." Eda said, as she was sitting across from the chief of the fun police.

"So I hear you're running scams at my carnival? That's my job. And I take my job very seriously." The fun police chief said, making his bow tie twirl around on his neck.

"Spare me the yuks. What do you want?" Eda demanded.

"Since I'm a forgiving demon, I'll give you two options. I can pass you along to the Emperor's Coven who'll throw you into the Conformatorium, or you can scam for me." The fun police chief negotiated, pointing to a carnival get-up next to a stand of caramel crab apples.

Back with King and Luz, they had taken all their tickets they won to the prize stand, as the prize vender was counting them out.

"Now, King, before you spend your tickets are you sure you want those friendship bracelets and not this bad boy?" Luz asked, pointing to a magical horse skull hanging up in the stand, to which it started growling.

"I am the King of Night. And every breath you take brings you closer to darkness." The skull ominously said.

"This guy's a riot." Luz optimistically said.

"Yes, Luz. I want the bracelets. It's kind of important to me, okay?" King said, having made up his mind.

"I can be important to you. I, who have seen the birth and death of countless nations..." The skull was about to continue, until the vendor hit it with a broom.

"Hey, stop it. No, no. Stop it. Yes, where was I... Well, lost count." The vendor said, as he then started over his counting of the tickets. That's when the little fly friend Willow and Gus made dropped some rotten candy in Luz's hair.

"Ugh, gross. I'm gonna need a mirror. I'll be right back, King." Luz said, as she went to find a mirror.

"Count faster." King demanded, frustrated with the vendor's counting.

As Luz was looking for a mirror, she noticed a path of arrows made of rotten candy leading to the House of Mirrors.

"Ah. Here we go." She said, as he heads to the House of Mirrors. Once inside, she kept following the arrows until she came to a message that said, 'You made it!' made from rotten candy.

"Aw, what a supportive sign. Wait a sec." Luz said, as she saw what looked like enlarged versions of Gus and Willow in the mirror in front of her. "Supportive friends!" She started running to them to give them a hug, only to run into the mirror despite her friends warning her not to do it.

"Huh?" Luz asked, as she looked at the mirror to see Willow pointing down. She looked down to see her friends have been shrunken down. "Oh, my gosh."

Back with Carlos and Emira, as they were walking around the carnival. Emira was now holding a green teddy bear with a missing eye, a red heart on its chest and a couple of pins in it. It was the prize Carlos got for her.

"Man, I think we've been just about everywhere here." Carlos said.

"I don't think we've been there yet." Emira said, pointing to a tent that was Tibbles's Tent of Tiny Terrors.

"Tibbles? I think I heard that name before." Carlos said.

"You have?" Emira asked.

"Yeah. I think he was the one who's stand Luz, Willow and Gus destroyed with the Owl House. Hopefully he isn't mad about that." Carlos said, scratching the back of his head.

"Oh, yeah. I remember Amity showing Ed and I that from the moonlight conjuring. I didn't know they could animate something that big." Emira admitted.

"Yeah, it was quite something. Shall we head in?" Carlos asked.

"Yeah, let's go." Emira said, as she and Carlos went inside.

Back at the prize stand, the prize vendor had finished counting King's tickets, which was a million tickets.

"Yup, I just counted to one million. The bracelets are yours." The vendor said, handing the friendship bracelets to King.

"Yes. Yes! Now Luz and I will share a bond as mighty as these trinkets." King said, as he let out a laugh. He then went off to find Luz at the House of Mirrors. "Heya, Luz. Good news. I got the bracelets."

"King..." Luz began.

"Huh?" King asked, confused. He then gasped when Luz showed him a shrunken Gus and Willow.

"You splashed us with something to make us small." Willow explained.

"And now I can't go on the big-boy rides! You monster." Gus said in a disappointed voice.

"You weren't supposed to shrink. You were supposed to disappear." King accidentally admitted. "No. Wait."

"What?" Luz asked, both mad and disappointed with King.

"No, no, no. No, Luz. I can explain. I wanted to win the bracelets and there was this psychic, see." King started explaining, pulling out the bottle from earlier.

"That must've been what did it. Give me the spray bottle, King." Luz demanded, as she set her friends on the ground then walked over to King.

"No, wait. I gotta explain." King started. They then started fighting over the spray bottle.

"There's nothing to explain."

"I was just trying to..."

"Shrink my friends?"

"I was trying to solve my problems." King was trying to explain further, until the lid of the spray bottle came loose and it got out of their hands. The contents then got all over King and Luz, as they then both shrank down to the same height as Gus and Willow.

"Hi." Both Willow and Gus sadly said. This is when King thought of something from earlier.

"Wait, I can fix it. Obvioso showed me how. Behold." King said, as he tapped his cheek with his hand. When he did that, nothing happened. He kept trying to see if it would work, but it still didn't. "Why isn't this working?"

"I'd say it's working quite well." Tibbles said, as he came out from the shadows. He then grabbed all four of them and took them back to his tent of tiny terrors. We also see King kept trying to tap his cheek.

"Um, Luz, I think King is broken." Gus said, confused on why King kept doing that.

"Tapping my cheeks is supposed to turn us normal. The psychic told me." King said.

"Oh, did he? But what if he lied to you from the start?" Tibbles asked, as he used his magic to change his hat to Obvioso's hat and wore the mustache.

"You fiend. When Obvioso finds out you stole his mustache..." King started, at first oblivious about it until he realized. "Oh..."

"The potion was designed by me. Guess whose cheeks control it?" Tibbles asked. He then noticed something. "Wait, wasn't there another one with you that night?"

"Oh, you mean Carlos? He's on a date with his girlfriend here." Luz admitted.

"Oh, well. Guess I will deal with just you four for now." Tibbles said, entering his tent and put the four in the glass cage from earlier.

"Welcome to the greatest show on the Boiling Isles." Tibbles said to the audience once the spotlights came on. The audience then cheered upon hearing that. "Will these witches and demons survive feeding time? Let's find out."

Tibbles then rang a bell, as the animals from earlier came out of the tent growling. All of them, except the unicorn.

"Aw, at least he's still my friend." Luz gushed. To prove Luz wrong, the unicorn started going crazy. "That's how friends react."

"You ruined my livelihood. So now you'll feed my livelihood." Tibbles menacingly said, as the animals came for them. He then used magic to make a projection appear of the four about to be devoured.

In the crowd, Carlos and Emira were enjoying the show. That is, they were, until the saw the projection of Luz, Willow, Gus and King shrunken down and about to be eaten by the animals in the glass cage.

"Luz, no!" Carlos exclaimed, getting out of his seat and walked up to the stage. "Give me back my sister and friends!" He demanded from the pig-like demon.

"Oh, so you are here. Sorry, but they have to pay for destroying my livelihood. And you'll pay by watching them get eaten." Tibbles menacingly told him. Carlos was about to go after him in anger for hurting his sister and friends, but Emira stopped him.

"Em, let me go. I have to save them!" Carlos exclaimed to his girlfriend.

"Carlos, I know how you feel, but you need to calm down. I'm sure they can figure how to get out on their own." Emira told him.

"I'd listen to her, as you are now all tied up." Tibbles said, as he used his magic to tie a magical rope around Carlos and Emira while also taping their mouths shut. "Now, place your bets and enjoy the show." He told the rest of the audience.

"Well, if I have to go, at least I'm with my best friends. And King." Gus said, still disappointed with King.

He, along with Luz, Willow and King, had been backed into a corner because of the animals. They then dodged out of the way in time when the unicorn pounced and almost squashed them.

We then see Eda in the outfit from before, as she was now trying to sell the caramel crab apples in the Tent of Tiny Terrors. She was also oblivious to the danger the kids were in.

"Caramel Crab Apples. Get them hot and pinchy." Eda said, not very excited of the predicument she was in.

"Hey, over here!" A man yelled, wanting a caramel crab apple.

"Yeah, yeah. Ah. Hold your spider-horses." Eda said, as one of the caramel crab apples pinched one of her fingers while grabbing for one.

In the glass cage, Gus used his illusion magic to make vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner was turned on, as the animals were afraid of the noise because of their sensitive hearing. This gave time for the others to run, as Willow used her plant magic to pull the water container down to hide behind.

"We've gotta... Find a way out of here." Luz said, as the animals were ramming into their hiding spot. King saw the danger they were in and felt really guilty.

"Ah, King, you idiot. This is all your fault. But I think I know how to fix it." King scolded himself, as he then pulled out his friendship bracelets because he had an idea. He ran out from the hiding spot to draw the animals attention, which succeeded.

"King?" Luz yelled out once she, Willow and Gus notice he ran out of the hiding spot.

"Willow, Gus, I'm sorry for poofing you. And Luz, I'm sorry for taking you away from your friends. I know you and Carlos will eventually go home and now you're spending more time at school. I just want to be around you!" King said while apologizing.

The unicorn and the manticore tried attacking King, but they failed and he used them as stepping-stones to reach the top of the cage. The crowd booed, as they were expecting a mauling to happen.

"No refunds." Tibbles said from his pile of Snails he earned once he heard the booing. He then heard whimpering, as he looked to the monitor to see what happened.

"All right. I only have one shot." King said once he got to the top of the cage. He then swung the bracelets around and tossed them towards Tibbles, to which they landed on his cheek.

"Darn flies." Tibbles said, patting his cheek where he felt the bracelets land. He then realized what he did. "Oh, no." King, Luz, Willow and Gus then start glowing.

"Hey, hey. No discounts, buddy." Eda said while hearing the crowd booing.

"You guys owe me. There's nothing happening in this show." One man disappointedly said.

"Not a single one of those dumb kids have gotten hurt yet." Another man disappointedly agreed.

"Dumb kids?" Eda asked, as she looked to see what they were talking about. She saw Luz, Gus and Willow on the screen that was still up. "Wait. Those are my dumb kids!"

Luz, Willow, Gus and King then grew back to their normal heights, as they all let out a sigh of relief. Suddenly, all the animals that were in the cage with them grew back to their normal sizes as well.

"You shrunk the animals too?" Luz asked Tibbles.

"It's the Tent of Tiny Terrors. Something needed to be tiny." Tibbles said, making a point.

The crowd kept booing, as one of them threw a caramel crab apple at one of the unicorns. The unicorn caught it in his mouth and ate it up, to which he really loved it. He then told the other animals to attack, to which they followed orders and started attacking the crowd.

"They foiled my plans. You will pay for this! This time I'm gonna personally squash you." Tibbles said while pulling out another bottle of the shrinking potion. That's when Eda walked up behind him and took the bottle from his hand.

"Oh, no, Tibbles. That's not how entertainment works. The bad guy always gets his just desserts." Eda said, as she poured the containment of caramel crab apples on him.

"Oh, no! Not desserts!" Tibbles exclaimed, as some of the crab apples fell onto him.

"Hey, girls. This one's on the house." Eda told the animals. They noticed what she was saying and noticed Tibbles covered in caramel crab apples and start chasing him away. This broke the spell off Carlos and Emira, who still had been tied up.

"Thanks, Eda. I thought we weren't getting out of that one." Carlos thanked. He then noticed what Eda was wearing. "I'm not even going to ask."

"Looks like we ruined Tibbles's life for a second time." Willow said.

"We're on a roll." Gus added, amused they ruined his life again.

"Gus, Willow, you're okay!" King happily exclaimed once he saw Gus and Willow were fine.

"All thanks to you, King. Here." Luz told him. She then gave him four pieces that were left of the friendship bracelets. "It was all that was left."

"It's... It's okay. Because now there's a piece for everybody." King said, as he handed two of the pieces to Gus and Willow. "If you'll accept it, that is?"

"Thank you, King." Willow thanked him, taking her piece.

"Yeah. I've always wanted to own a jagged piece of cheap metal." Gus said, as he took his piece.

"That's very sweet." Luz told King.

"I'm sorry, Luz. Demons do crazy things when they've been missing somebody." King admitted while apologizing.

"And can I tell you a secret? I've been missing you too." Luz said, whispering the last part to him.

"Hey, we still have a few hours of carnival left. Wanna hit those bumper carcasses?" King asked.

"You bread my mind." Luz joked, to which King laughed at.

"Yes! Bread puns. Bread puns forever." King said.

"Mind if we join too?" Carlos asked, refering to him and Emira.

"Are you sure?" Luz asked.

"Yeah, I'd say our date time is over after what happened. We don't mind joining you." Emira said.

"Okay. You coming too, Eda?" Luz asked Eda, to which Eda was relaxing on the pile of Snails.

"Nah. I think I got everything I wanted." Eda said, as the bleachers that once held the customers fell apart. "Yep. Another great year at the carnival."

Back at the Owl House, Hooty was talking to the fly he was once chasing.

"Boy, fly, we sure getinto some whacky hijinks, don't we? Sure feel sorry for anyone that missed seeing us two rabble-rousers getting into scrapes." Hooty said to the fly.

Eda, Luz, King and Carlos Opened the door to see Hooty talking to the fly, as they then left silently for him to not notice them.

"Good thing I brought a camera. Yep. Hooty and fly. Together forever. You and me. Every single day..." Hooty then coughs, as the fly then flew into his mouth. "Now I know what friendship tastes like. Tastes like a bug."

And that's it. I meant to get this chapter out on Christmas, but I got delayed...for a month. But at least it was worth the wait.

This chapter got to be pretty long, as I had to add the date scenes with Carlos and Emira, as I wanted you to enjoy their first official date. Their next date will be... Two episodes from now?! Yep, they will be going to Grom together in that episode, but that will be two episodes from this one.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed this long chapter and are ready for the next one, which will be where they help Willow with her memories because of a certain someone. See you next chapter.
