Prologue

Now the contents you are about to hear would sound crazy, Insane, and out of this world, but this is how I, Whitley Shane saved a world between my own. This is how I saved Slugterra.

Chapter 1

One book leads to another world

Oh Hello! I didn't see you there, My name is Pronto. Eh, so you want to hear a story about adventure and epic battles... Well too bad I'm telling you anyway.

At the beginning of the world that would be soon called Remnant, This world on the surface was barren, with no life, no ocean, and it was visited by two brothers from the ever after, Who are the brothers, and what is the ever after?

Will you stop asking me questions I'm in the same boat as you right now!

I'm telling a story so don't interrupt me!

The two brothers desired to make a world of their own. A world that was full of balance and order. Unfortunately, they killed that world, then they tried again.

I mean at that point, maybe you shouldn't make things anymore. So the ashes of the world made Remnants and new humans.

The world of the Remnant is a magical place home to a powerful crystal substance, known as dust or the black beast that hunger to destroy humanity, known as the Grimm. Then there are those incredible individuals who fight off these dark beasts. As amazing as this story is, that's not what we're looking at today.

The two brothers were all-powerful beings. However, both of them failed to realize that there was more than just the surface of this world. Every stone holds something special if you look inside of it. Though underneath it all was a world of wonder. Where the forces of light flourished in a secret. Where even Grimm dared not go. It was known as Slugterra, a grand system of caves of ninety-nine caverns formed in an epic world. Though this wild and free world still had its fair share of problems.

It's a good thing there will be a new Shane in town.

Wait what's the smell… OH NO, I LEFT THE STOVE ON!

On a bright day in Slugterra, a man was walking all by himself, he wore a strange light leather padded armor. He wore tight black pants and looked to be in his late fifties. He had dark black hair and ice-blue eyes. He had that natural confidence smirk on his face. On his side was a blue gun, it was large and had a strange blue reload canister. He wore a bandolier of these small blue barrels.

He was walking around a vegetated area, full of giant mushrooms and tall flowers, that offered shade to those who chose to rest under them. He may have been looking relaxed though his hand was ready for any sign of danger. He looked around the area to see nothing was wrong.

This was Will Shane, a hero to the people and friends to slugs.

"I don't see anything out of place here. What about you, Burpy see anything?" Will asked a small creature that hopped on his shoulder. It was a strange slug with eyes that belonged to a human, and its bright orange body matched the strange flame patterns on his stomach. While its two small horns were on top of its little head.

Burpy looked around and shook his head from side to side. Will smiled and pulled his blaster out. The sound of a branch being snapped brought his attention to his right. Burpy let out an angry growl.

Will turned to see a muscular man, well-dressed in a red suit but had a black coat covering his entire muscular physique. While his coat was tucked in his pants black pants. He also wore black boots and a red v symbol was on the left pectoral of his coat.

He had black hair, he had a sharp haircut to match his goatee and his sideburns were grown out. He looked like a very distinct gentleman. He had green eyes, pale deathly skin, sharpened teeth, and a long nose were his key characteristics.

"Blakk what happened to you?" Will asked, narrowing his eyes at the man.

"Let's just say I've had a very eye-opening experience!" Blakk said with a villainess smile. Then he pulled out his dark blaster and fired a Slug at Will.

Will knew this routine like it was second nature, the combat of firing slugs, knowing that when they reached 100 mph, they would transform into a magical Beast hurling right towards you and capable of incredible things. In the right hands, however.

Will dogged the attack, and he recognized it was a Buzzsaw slug. A tornado of blades inches from his face but Will still had a smile on his face.

He whipped out his blaster without even looking at his target and launched a hot rock slug at Blakk. A slug that went on impact was explosive.

Blakk moved out of the attack and while he rolled retaliated with another Slug round, a Rammstone. A slug that when reaching velocity, would transform into tough beats with large horns and big fists of stone.

Will noticed that the Rammstone that was fired at him, was undeveloped as its horns had yet to grow in, so he quickly responded with his own. The two beasts were heading for each other, but it was Will's slug that stood on top and knocked it away. The Rammstone quickly turns back into its smaller and gentler version.

The small creature looked up at Blakk seeing that it had failed its master. Blakk growled and was very displeased with the creature. Will didn't like that as well; a slug was more than just ammunition. It was a living, breathing creature with a heart and soul that understood a human.

Will knelt on the floor and opened his paw, letting his Rammstone back into his palm.

"Worthless slug!" He yelled, scaring the creature away. Burpy didn't like that and growled at the man. Will smirked at his companion.

"Not that I'm enjoying bringing you to Justice repeatedly, but aren't you getting a little tired of losing?"

Blakk growled and irritated and scowled at the man. "Yes extremely, that's why I lured you here so I can end this little squabble we have,"

"So you finally think you can beat me," Will said. Blakk let out a slow cackle.

"Why yes, I know I am"

Burpy began to speak in some sort of aggressive gibberish at Blakk.

"It's alright Burpy you'll get your chance," Will said almost as if understood him. "So are you gonna tell me what this is all about or am I gonna have to guess?"

Blakk smiled and pulled a special red barrel from behind his belt. "I'll do you better Will Shane, I'll show you it,"

Inside the slug barrel was a slug, but it let out a ferocious roar. Will's eyes widened and horror as he could see its skin was pitch black, its eyes red, and its horns and claws, more sharp and feral. It looks like a nightmare.

"Blakk what have you done," Will Shane asked in anger.

"I fixed it, I made it better. Good enough to beat you," Blakk said as he fired the screaming nightmare at Will. It soon transforms into a flying nightmare, but it's a large bat with wings, sharp teeth, and big horns all covered in midnight black while its underbelly is blood-red.

His eyes widened in terror, as its Ma, spit out a burst of black energy that soon formed into a small sphere that exponentially grew into a black force, making a red thunderstorm appear overhead, this black hole started to pull everything in. The only thing solid was the very earth.

Blakk was surprised at what he did. He gripped a tree trying to escape the vortex. Will even though the dark and red flash looked at Blakk.

"Your insane, corrupting slugs, you'll destroy all of Slugterra!" Will yelled as Blakk was lost in his power fantasy.

"I can't believe the power, it's unimaginable!" Blakk said as he managed to pull himself away from the Vortex and ran as fast as he could.

"We're not done here, get back here Blakk. BLAKK!" Will shouted. Though he could feel his grippy starting to slip on the branch he held onto. With a sad realization glanced at Burpy. He wasn't going to make it, so he grabbed all the slugs he could from his personnel. Caring them away and pushing them to a safe spot. All except one, he loaded the Burpy into his blaster and pointed it away from the black vortex.

"Find Willow, give her the book, Good luck my friend," Will said as he fired Burpy from his blaster and was pulled in by the vortex.

Burpy was picking up velocity and began to transform. He developed two large limbs and an amphibious face. He was a mix of birds and dinosaurs. It flew in the sky like a rocket as its flames danced all over his body comparable to feathers.

Burpy wasn't any normal slug; he was an Infurnus. A rare slug that was comparable to a supernova. He had already flown away but he turned his head, to see that Will was pulled into the black void and disappeared from his site. The black hole vanished along with the feet of ground under it. Leaving nothing but an area of fresh dirt.

The Slug had to turn his head away from the site and kept looking forward. He flew along the cave ceiling and could see a hole hiding behind a formation of stalactites. He flew around the rock formation and went into the large gap in the earth. Burpy maneuvered himself around the complex cave system. He moved for what were miles of land. The caves started to lead up more. The rock and stones slowly started to turn into industrial piping.

Then he moved upward until he reached a manhole cover. He could hear the people shouting in surprise, as a stream of fire shot up into the air. Burpy glanced down seeing a humongous city below him, the area around was snow and Mountain. The air was frigid, and the area was covered in a thick blanket of white.

How gazed at the stars above, and was welcomed by the site of a shattered moon. Burpy always thought it was strange that the moon was broken never knowing why.

This city was dirty and a little in poverty, the whole city was surrounded by a rickety wall of metal. Though Burpy knew that's not where he needed to go. He kept flying up to see a humongous floating land mass. Above the old city. With large tubes, connecting from the bottom of it to the larger buildings in the old city.

Burpy in a blazing Inferno, and with extraordinary speed reached the top of this landmass in a matter of minutes. The Slug was welcomed to a beautiful white city with technological advances, sturdy architecture, and city lights that made the city shine comparable to a diamond. This was the kingdom of Atlas.

Airships float above Air ships making the sky alive, like a sea full of fish. Burpy knew where to go as head towards the city with full flaming force. The moment he crossed the land mass edge. Burpy was met with a force field holding him in place. As an open view of the city of Atlas there was a force field around it, to keep the creatures of Grimm at bay. No regular person could get in but it was a good thing that Burpy wasn't mundane.

It was an energy shield and it was blocking his path. The slug however still pushed in, even in its form. Burpy knew he was losing momentum and if he were too slow, If that happened the slug would revert to his smaller form.

He remembers what was at stake and that was all of Slugterra. With a mighty cry, he used his flames to make a drill. That burned so bright for a mere moment people on the edge of the city limits, thought the sun was rising. The shield was slowly starting to crack. The clearness went away to show the hexagon pattern all over it.

In the middle of the city was the communication tower beacon that oversaw airships, and other kingdom communication. Most importantly running the Kingdom's City shield. A worker at one of the computers had a notification appear on his screen. The man slowly spun around to look at the person, standing and observing all the workers.

A tall and muscular middle-aged man who wears a white overcoat, with a gray undercoat, black sweater, a red necktie, and a white glove on his right hand. His suit pants shared the same color as his overcoat and were tucked into silver boots accented in gray. His hair was black, with some gray areas, while his eyebrows were solid black. He had a strip of silver metal above his right eyebrow.

This was the general of Atlas, known as Ironwood. He was a nonsense person always straight to business, and doing whatever it took to protect his city.

"Uh sir we might have a problem," He informed him. Ironwood slightly turned to face the man and held his military poise.

"What's the problem?"

"It appears that the north side shield is trying to be broken and the stability is going down," He said in worry. The general quickly walked over and huddled over the screen seeing the alerts.

"Is it a Grimm?" Ironwood asked.

"No, our senses would've picked up a grim miles away before it even reached the city limits," The man panicked as he began typing in commands and buttons. "Sir the shields are at their maximum. Something's gonna break through.

"Pull up a video feed," The general commanded as the room was on high alert. The video appeared on a very big hollow screen in front of all the communications workers. The video played what the camera all that they could see was a bright light, blinding the lens.

"What is this?" The man asked out loud. "Is that fire,"

"Get the ground forces ready, and put more energy into that location of the shield," Ironwood. Then one of the workers stood up and had to alert the general.

"Sir the shield is at its maximum percentage. Are blocking as much as we can," He said in a worried voice. "I don't want to be the bar of bad news, sir but it's gonna bust through,"

"Simmons control your friend, Griff see what you can do," The General ordered. Then a light began to enter the tower control. It was a bright light and the General could see the horizon, being illuminated by bright orange fire.

"Dear remnant what is this?" He hadn't prepared for whatever this was. He felt his breathing start to move out of his control. He had to call the council, other branches of the military, the other kingdoms, and Ozpin. They had to know something was happening. The walls of Atlas were falling.

Burpy felt so fatigued. He wasn't going to give up. He kept using the flames to push and puncture through this invisible force. It was dust energy. A strong source of energy used to make weapons, elemental forces, and power war machines. However, there was one glaring fact that not even the general realized. This was Slug who would never give up.

"Goodbye, old friend…"

With a mighty push, Burpy busted through the shield. Making a shockwave it quaked the city base.

The fire Slug moved into the city walls. At such speed that some windows shattered, the lamps that stood tall in the streets started to fall limp from the intense heat.

Then he shot up toward the sky to get a Bird's Eye view of the city. His flames made heat waves across the sky. When he was high enough, the place where he needed to go shined like a diamond in a sea of dirt. He shot towards a grand white mansion with a light blue roof. Burpy fell near the top of the building but quickly reverted into a smaller slug form and landed in the open garden.

He slowly glanced around to see he was in a vast garden with cages lining the side of the building. Each one is full of an exotic animal. Burpy didn't know what to think, this place had changed a lot since the first time he was there.

He hopped on the stone path and past the luxurious fountain, with a swan statue in the middle of it, pouring out water from its bill. He could see the large red wooden door. It was carved with so many symbols and designs. He could see the golden handle, and then he hopped on the handle trying to push it down but it was locked. Burpy took a long sigh and slammed his head on the door.

Burpy was not exactly happy, he burst through a shield that was meant to take missiles without even a scratch. However, without somebody to sling him 100 miles per hour, he couldn't do anything. Then he let out a gargle of noise that sounded like anger.

Walking around empty white hallways, with the soft blue rollout carpets and big windows covering the left side of the halls outside, old antique oil paintings decorate the walls.

"It's all so nice, yet a little empty. Perhaps father should hire more help to liven up the place,"

All this thought by Whitley Schnee. He had short white hair and wore light blue dress pants and a white button-up shirt. While over it a basic blue vest.

This was a child of the famous Schnee family. A name that was tied to the most influential company in the world. ironically called the Schnee dust company. It was their company that handled the manufacturing and distribution of dust. A company that is truly worth millions. What a joyous position to be in life. Yet he was the only child in the house, there were three children to such a vast fortune.

Whitely knew them as his older sisters. He walked in the hallway until he stopped at a family portrait. With calm eyes, he glanced at Oil panting with an expressionless face. All three of the children had icy, blue eyes and white hair. This portrait was taken a long time ago.

It was a strange painting because most of the people in the portrait weren't smiling. Whitley, who was the youngest, was smiling. The top right was Willow Schnee she wore a blue dress with a red pendant tied around her neck. She was frowning.

Willow used to be a great huntress, who fought creatures of Grimm. A great warrior now, but Whitley knew now, she was a raging alcoholic in a broken family. Who barely acknowledges her problems and shows off her trophy animals that she has cages outside.

On the top left a man in a white suit with a gray tie and blue button-up shirt underneath. He had gray hair with white streaks and a spruce gray mustache. This was Jacques Schnee. A man who married into the Schnee family. He had a stern smirk on his face.

A man who made the company what it is today. That makes billions a month. While also known for its poor treatment of miners and the Faunus.

Faunus are people who have animal features. Some could have cat ears, dog tails, or even bull tails. However, it was known people would exploit them. The Schnee Company is known to be harsh with its workers.

Whitley didn't judge people on their looks, he just wished things were better but what could he do?

Jacques's only interest was in the company, so when it came to his children, he would always focus on explaining the company to them, or what part they would have in it.

The girl to Whitley's right was her first older sibling. Who looked to be eleven years old. She had a neatly tied bun, and some of her white hair fell over the right side of her face. She wore a neat blue and white uniform. Her name was Winter.

Whitley knew she left the house at a young age to join the military and is now a high-ranking commander under the watch of General Ironwood. Whitley hasn't heard much from a sister or gotten any letters from her. She was a great huntress and commander. Who always follows orders.

The other girl was the second oldest, she wore a white. neat dress and had her long white hair in a ponytail. She had a frown on her face and didn't look pleased being in this portrait. This was Weiss. She, like her sister, took part in combat and singing.

She had done so many life performances for the rich and famous that she was practically a celebrity here in the city of Atlas. It was only a couple of months ago that she left for Huntsmen Academy. To fight the creatures of crème and rewrite the wrongs of her family. All the while still trying to master the family semblance.

Whitley let out a stiff laugh at the thought of semblance. Everyone on remnant possessed an aura, a life force within them that they could use to come back the creatures of Grimm. It acted as a shield from damage but if you were hurt too much, you could deplete it and leave yourself Vulnerable. A few people managed to master this. While another selects a few individuals to master a semblance of a special power, unique to everyone. The Schnees had a very unique one, they created a flat glyph which has a variety of effects, from moving to conjuring avatars to creating Dust formations. It was a hereditary thing.

Whitley mused over the idea of it but knew he wasn't much of a fighter. In contrast, his mother didn't see the potential in him. Weiss also left the family.

Then all that was left was him. He was five years old when they took this painting. Their father only wanted a son who could shape him just as he wanted. While his mother did nothing but drink. He was alone and Whitley knew that.

Was born to be his father, a curl man who only cared about money and power. What else, it's not like anyone asks how he's doing. Even the butler who was to serve their family favors Weiss for him. Nobody knew who Whitley Schnee was, to other people he was a copy of his father.

He walked away from the painting and held his head down. While he always held his hands behind his back. The right way to walk is what his father told him.

Whitley marched to his room on the other side of the estate. Faraway from his mother and father. He wished he could move away from all this drama but at the end where would he go and what would he do? He's just here to rot away into that man. In all this craziness all he wanted was to have a family, maybe then he wouldn't feel so alone.

Then as he walked by the door to his mother's private garden where she would drink her heart out. The handle of the door jiggled. Whitley thought one of her mother's animals got out. He was wrong as the next thing he heard was a voice.

"Out of all the things to happen to me, I'm stuck behind a door. I just broke through the force shields of the city, Great for you Burpy! Slug of the Year. All of Slugterra rests on my shoulders, gosh I might as well be a FLOPPER!" A voice came from the other side. Whitely unlocked the door and opened it. He couldn't see any person, no footprint in the snow, except some small ones which could have come from a bird.

"Hello, is anyone there?" He asked out loud only to be revised with silence.

He glanced across the enclosure one more time and closed the door. Whitley stood in silence in the hallway. This was something to keep to himself, I mean who would he tell? He was alone after all. Taking a deep sigh he moved along.

When Whitley turned around the corner, he didn't notice the orange slug that stood out like a sore thumb, in this cold color house. Brupy tilted his head at the young man. He looked familiar yet different. He shrugged his shoulders, he had bigger things to handle.

"Man if I didn't know better, it's like he understood me," Burpy said out loud. Then he let out a laugh. "A human that could understand Slugs, that would be the day,"

Burpy quickly hopped around the halls, he had to find Willow and give her the book of Shane. All of Slugterra depends on it.

"Don't worry I'm not going to fail you now!" Burpy said.

One question was raised when fire is put out where do the ashes go?

In the Kingdom of Vale deep in the academy of Beacon.

Beacon is situated just before an impressive cliff's edge that overlooks the city across the sound. At the top edge of the cliffside are several large, circular aerial docking bays, where airships and Bullheads can dock and allow their passengers to disembark. At the base of the cliffs, a docking bay is also available for water-going surface vessels, and a path from there leads upwards to the top of the cliff.

The most prominent part of the academy buildings is a large tower. Inside the very top was a room full of gears and pulleys.

A man sat beside his glass table desk. He took a sip of his hot cocoa and gently set it down. He was a middle-aged man with tousled silver hair and thin brown eyes. He has a light complexion and sharp facial features.

He wears shaded glass spectacles and a small, purple, cross-shaped pin on the cowl around his neck. His outfit mainly consists of an unzipped black suit over a buttoned vest and green shirt. He also wears black trouser shoes and long, dark green pants. In addition, his old cane is leaning on the table. This was Professor Ozpin, the headmaster of Beacon Academy. Currently, he is managing the school class times.

He received a ring on his scroll. A device that was a glass phone. That could easily compact itself. Though he expanded it. Seeing the notification was from General Ironwood.

Ozpin picked up the phone and answered it.

"Why General Ironwood to whom do I owe the pleasure?" He asked.

"Ozpin, look at the news right now," He said in a stern voice. He found this to be strange. We could be going on in the world. He clicked a button on his scroll. Then a big scream dropped from the roof. As soon as he turned it on the channel immediately went to the news. His eyes widened seeing the strange phenomenon of fire breaking through Atlas walls.

"Officials are still trying to wrap their heads around this mystery ball of fire that broke through the Atlas walls, thankfully, the forest field was gladly brought up again but folks in the city are still trying to wrap their heads around how this could happen," The anchorwoman, said she was there at the scene of the crime.

"Ozpin is it her," Ironwood asked. Ozpin only held his mug and studied the screen, he was shocked at the display of power. However, with his experienced eyes, he could see it. A creature unlike any other he had imagined in a lifetime.

"No it's not her, this is something else, General I think it's about the time for an old Qrow to drop by your Academy, he might have to do a little investigation," Ozpin said.

"I understand I'll be waiting for him,"

"And Jimmy be careful this is something here that's strange," Ozpin said as he ended the call. He paused the screen and stared at the creature that broke through Atlas's protection.

"I don't know what you are, but it looks like you came from a very far place,"

So I hope you guys enjoyed this story I had this strange idea to cross these two strange shows. I mean both have the theme of strange weapons, We follow a four-team cast for both of them. Then take into account antagonistic... Well Let's face it Dr. Blakk is just better than anything that Rwby has but hey that's my opinion. However, what do you guys think about this story? It was just a Brain dump for me but I like this world. Also, I chose Whitely why because I like writing about niche characters.

But that's not the question to be answered. The real story is who voices well, The madman that I am. Has taken the liberty to make a voice cast list. So if this helps with hearing characters, while reading the fic. I hope you like it.

Brupy is voiced by Kevin Heart. I know it's a weird choice but I have plans for this, I hope you guys like it. Also next week I'll be posting about Legends of Ten and Keigo Phantom.
