The sound of metal pipes shaking tells me it is about to rain. I can't help but frown, the heat of the sun will either make it unbearable or the wind will make it a pleasant day to be outside.

The door behind me closed on its own, and I ignored the confused expressions on the men's and women's faces.

The sound becomes louder until they finally shoot the exes' water into the air bathing the cities. I don't bother covering my head, the few drops of clear water that manage not to evaporate feel nice, they aren't cold but they aren't hot either.

I stop walking when I reach the bridge, someone has been targeting the water filtration system. I don't know if the rocks and the mutations have something to do with the tunnels I found, but if they do I'm going to need the help of someone who can move in places where Humans can't.

I hear a man praying, and when I turn to look in his direction, I see a group of men and women along with some children gathering around him, none of them seem to mind the rain.

The sound of my footsteps mixes with the sound of the water running down the bridge. I stop walking when I reach the middle of the bridge, and look at the pools underneath. The giant fish jump as they try to eat me and the others who are either going to work or simply enjoying the sensation of the rain.

The nat aren't out today so there must be an excess of fish meat in the markets.

My helmet begins to beep as the results of the investigation finally come in, unfortunately, the only tunnel that could be opened after it collapsed leads into a maze that collapsed immediately after someone tried to set foot in it.

I want to blame the dwarfs, but they have no reason to attack us. Hell one of them lives in Sea Town, the guy just spends his days making beer.

It's easy to find where the filtration system is housed, every city has one, all that you have to do is follow the pipes that are on the bridge and you will find one of them.

The door that protects the furnace and the purification system is guarded by a member of each defense group, water is more valuable than gold here, so we can't risk the system being destroyed.

The guards open the door and I walk past the workers who are maintaining the furnace and the pipes, some are filtering the salt while others are making sure that both the water and the salt won't spread diseases.

In the back of the room there is a large stone door, no one from the outside can open it unless they are a soldier or a knight. There is another group here one that neither the people on the surface nor the workers know about.

The doors open, the room on the other side is pitch black so I can't see anything until my helmet makes it possible. I removed my right glove and I waited for the door to close behind me. When I heard it close, I used my dagger to cut my hand and let the blood drip into a bowl that was on the floor next to me.

"Why have you come?" I hear something say to me, its voice is a mix of an ogre growl, the cry of a bat, and the voice of a man.

"The city guard has found glowing rocks, they mutate children before they are born." I answer it.

"It's called warp stone, and those mutants are Beast Men." it answers me.

"I found a tunnel that leads into a path." But it collapsed before you could investigate." it finishes my words for me.

I feel the creature exhale, its rotten breath nearly makes me vomit. An unnatural fire lights the room, the fire isn't orange or any recognizable color. The only reason why it is a color is because I call it color.

The vampire in front of me is a monster, there isn't a single person who would mistake it or any of the others like it for a Human.

"There are only two groups who move bellow ground, the Dwarfs and the rat-men. Ask yourself which of the two has a reason to attack your cities.' it asks me.

"Neither, we haven't seen any rat men and the dwarfs don't have a reason to target us." I answer it. I watch as the creature picks up the bowl and drinks the blood I filled it with.

I wrap my hand with a rag, and I ignore the creature who loudly slams the bowl on the floor. "Why are you here? We have kept our end of the deal."

"I need your help because we are being invaded. I can't explain it, but my instincts are telling me that there's something bigger going on.' I answer it and the vampire waves me away.

Good at least he will consider helping me. The rain has stopped and it's starting to get hot again.
